The proposed article sets out the results of the finite element structural analysis for the open and compartmentalised watering furrow equipment (OCWFE). It uses a 3D structural model with 3D finite elements. The analysis set out in the article is made in order to determine the field of relative displacement and equivalent stress in the load-bearing structure of the OCWFE. The structural model is generated in CAD-CAM. For the structural analysis, it is necessary the CAE model, which is obtained from the CAD-CAM model, mainly by eliminating gaps and interferences, but also by the techniques of realizing the contact between the components of the assembly and a careful mashing of the structure. The structural model thus created is supported and loaded in accordance with the experimental results from the literature. The relative displacement field and the equivalent stress field within the resistance frame of the OCWFE is obtained following the linear static analysis. The field of relative displacements is used to assess the effects on the quality of the work performed. The equivalent stress field is used to estimate the safety factor of the structure, by reference to the flow stress of the material from which the structure is built.

The paper proposes the analysis of the load-bearing structure of the equipment for opening and compartmentalizing watering furrows (EOCFW), using a 3D structural model, built with 1D finite element. Based on information from the experimental results of the EOCFW equipment, the load-bearing structure is supported and loaded. The results of the linear static analysis of the structure consist of the distributions of the relative displacement fields and the equivalent voltage in the structure. Also, the own frequencies of the structure and the deformed forms of the structure are obtained when it vibrates in its own ways with the lowest own frequencies. It shows how these results can be used. The field of relative displacements is used to assess the effects on the quality of the soil processing performed. The equivalent stress field is used to estimate the safety factor of the structure, by reference to the flow stress of the material from which the structure is built. The first four or five own frequencies are important for the prognosis of possible vibration regimes with resonance, their explanation and their amelioration. It emphasizes the ease with which the model can be modified to obtain improved or even optimized variants.

The subdivision of ruts represents the process of periodic formation between their ridges of small soil dams, small pools of water accumulation created in the processed soil with the help of equipment to open watering channels in order to reduce the phenomenon of erosion and to make more efficient use of the water from precipitation or by using sprinkler systems. This is a method of soil and water conservation that is used on inclined lands with a slope of less than 6o or on disturbed land. The practice began to be widely adopted following the use of new herbicide technologies necessary for weed control but also for improving the mechanical equipment for dam construction. In this paper are presented the results obtained from the optimization of the dimensions and the shape of the working body of the PCVM2,2 + EMBC2 equipment used in the compartmentation of the ruts in the vine-apple orchards with calculation of the qualitative indices of obtained work.

Poultry-processing industries generate substantial quantities of waste, posing significant environmental challenges due to the complexity of handling and disposal. This study explores an innovative solution that combines thermochemical treatment of poultry waste with furrow-diking technology to transform non-recyclable feathers and bones into biochar—a nutrient-rich soil amendment. The research identifies optimal pyrolysis conditions for biochar production and evaluates its effects on soil moisture retention, compaction reduction, and erosion control. Experimental trials on sloped terrains reveal that incorporating biochar into compartmentalized furrows enhances water-holding capacity and soil structure, providing a sustainable approach to addressing agricultural challenges. Pyrolyzing poultry waste at 500 °C produced biochar with high nitrogen content and stability, capable of retaining up to 90% of its mass in water and significantly reducing soil compaction. Furthermore, applying 10 metric tons of biochar per hectare can sequester 5–8 metric tons of carbon annually, contributing to long-term carbon mitigation and regenerative agriculture. Biochar is a form of charcoal produced (generally) by burning biomass at high temperatures in the absence of air, in a process called pyrolysis. This substance has the potential to have a positive impact on the environment. The positive impact on the environment is manifested through the improvement of soil fertility, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, improvement of water quality, and reduction of dependence on fossil fuels. The presence of biochar in the germination bed of plants provides an improvement in the soil's water retention capacity, which can lead to an increase in crop yields. Lately, there is a decrease in arable land surface while the population grows, therefore the need to increase agricultural production per unit of surface is a must to meet food needs. Water resources are reduced and therefore it is important to promote techniques and technologies that efficiently utilize water from various sources with low energy consumption. In sapling crops, directing water along the plant line or uniform storage is achieved with continuous or interrupted (compartmentalized) furrows.
