Many industrial, commercial, and residential applications use three-phase induction motors because they are less expensive, require less maintenance, and operate reliably. Three-phase power is also readily available in any area. Electrical motors with multiphase supplies (more than three phases) are now frequently utilized due to their several advantages over three-phase motors, including great fault tolerance and torque density, low torque ripple, increased dependability, enhanced noise characteristics, and cheap maintenance. For varied conduction of 5-phase inverter beginning from 0° to 180°, analysis of a 5ϕ induction motor can be done. Electric aircraft, electric automobiles, high-compressor systems, ship propulsion, electric traction, and high-power applications all require multi-phase induction motors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
