Low dimensional (LD) organic metal halide hybrids (OMHHs) have recently emerged as new generation functional materials with exceptional structural and property tunability. Despite the remarkable advances in the development of LD OMHHs, optical properties have been the major functionality extensively investigated for most of LD OMHHs developed to date, while other properties, such as magnetic and electronic properties, remain significantly under‐explored. Here, we report for the first time the characterization of the magnetic and electronic properties of a 1D OMHH, organic‐copper (II) chloride hybrid (C8H22N2)Cu2Cl6. Owing to the antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu atoms through chloride bridges in 1D [Cu2Cl62−]∞ chains, (C8H22N2)Cu2Cl6 is found to exhibit antiferromagnetic ordering with a Néel temperature of 24 K. The two‐terminal (2T) electrical measurement on a (C8H22N2)Cu2Cl6 single crystal reveals its insulating nature. The prevailing practice advocates pre–oxidation of electrospun Fe–salt/polymer nanofibers (Fe–salt/polymer Nf) before pyrolysis as advantageous in the production of high–performance FeOx@carbon nanofibers supercapacitors (FeOx@C). However, our study systematically challenges this notion by demonstrating that pre–oxidation facilitates the formation of polydispersed and large FeOx nanoparticles (FeOx@CI−DA) through "external" Fe3+ Kirkendall diffusion from carbon, resulting in subpar electrochemical properties. To address this, direct pyrolysis of Fe–salt/polymer Nf is proposed, promoting "internal" Fe3+ Kirkendall diffusion within carbon and providing substantial physical confinement, leading to the formation of monodispersed and small FeOx nanoparticles (FeOx@CDA). In 1 M H2SO4, FeOx@CDA demonstrates ~2.60× and 1.26× faster SO42− diffusivity, and electron transfer kinetics, respectively, compared to FeOx@CI−DA, with a correspondingly ~1.50× greater effective surface area. Consequently, FeOx@CDA exhibits a specific capacity of 161.92 mAhg−1, ~2× higher than FeOx@CI−DA, with a rate capability ~19 % greater. Moreover, FeOx@CDA retains 94 % of its capacitance after 5000 GCD cycles, delivering an energy density of 26.68 Whkg−1 in a FeOx@CDA//FeOx@CDA device, rivaling state–of–the–art FeOx/carbon electrodes in less Fe–corrosive electrolytes. However, it is worth noting that the effectiveness of direct pyrolysis is contingent upon hydrated Fe–salt. The proliferation of small electronic devices has significantly increased the demand for self-powered sensors. This study introduces a triboelectric frequency sensor (TFS) that combines the frequency-responsive characteristics of triboelectric nanogenerators with a simple one-dimensional structure for sustainable vibration measurement. This sensor is specifically designed to aid in the tuning of string instruments, capable of detecting frequency responses up to 330 Hz generated by string vibrations. Structural optimization was achieved by setting a non-contact mode with a gap distance of 3 mm and utilizing perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA) as the contact dielectric material. The TFS exhibits dynamic response characteristics by varying the vibrating frequency and the tension of the string, facilitated by a custom-built testing setup. Frequency data captured by the sensor can be visualized on a monitor through the integration of a microcontroller unit (MCU) and dedicated coding. The practical applicability and effectiveness of this sensor in real-world scenarios are demonstrated experimentally. [Display omitted] • 1D MWO 4 (M = Mn, Co, Cd) nanomaterials were synthesized by electrospinning method. • CoWO 4 nanotubes exhibited superior efficiency in degrading BPA under UV–Vis–NIR light. • The wide-spectrum responses mechanism for MWO 4 (M = Mn, Co, Cd) were explained by DFT. Broadening the absorption region to near-infrared (NIR) light is critical for the photocatalysis due to the larger proportion and stronger penetration of NIR light in solar energy. In the present paper, one-dimensional (1D) MWO 4 (M = Mn, Co, and Cd) materials synthesized by electrospinning technique, were studied by combining the density functional theory (DFT) with experiment results, which possessed the enhanced light absorption capability within the range of 200–2000 nm. It was proved that in the ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) region, the absorption bands of CoWO 4 and MnWO 4 samples were attributed to the metal-to-metal charge transfer mechanism, while the absorption of CdWO 4 sample may be referable to the ligand-to-metal charge transfer mechanism. In the near-infrared (NIR) region, the absorption of CoWO 4 and MnWO 4 primarily originated from the d-d orbital transitions of Mn2+ and Co2+. The photocatalytic experimental results showed that the degradation rates for bisphenol A (BPA) over CoWO 4 , MnWO 4 , and CdWO 4 photocatalysts under UV–Vis/NIR light irradiation for 140 min/12 h were 78.8 %/75.9 %, 23.8 %/21.3 %, 12.8 %/8.7 %, respectively. This research offers the novel insights into the precise construction of tungstate catalytic systems and contributes to the advancement of UV–Vis–NIR full spectrum photocatalytic technology, and lays a foundation for a cleaner and more environmental-friendly future. The luminescent properties of metal halides are usually considered to be determined by the inorganic framework. In this work, we propose that the luminescent properties of metal halides are determined by both the inorganic framework and the solvent [Denoted as (inorganic framework + n· solvent molecules), n = 0, 1, 2...] through the abundant solvatochromic or thermochromic effect of tetrabutylammonium lead bromides [TPB, T = TBA (tetrabutylammonium), P = Pb (lead), B = Br (bromide)] containing water (H 2 O) and ethanol (EtOH). One-dimensional (1D) TPB can form ligands of [[Pb 5 Br 18 ]8− + 2H 2 O (H) ], [[Pb 5 Br 18 ]8− + 2H 2 O (H) + 2H 2 O] and [[Pb 5 Br 18 ]8− + 2EtOH] by solvent or heat treatment has completely different luminescent properties resulting from different solvents. They exhibit broad spectral emission due to strong electron-phonon coupling, as do other 1D metal halides. However, the 1D TPB containing only [[Pb 5 Br 18 ]8− achieves extremely rare narrow-band green emission, with full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 21 nm at room temperature and 8 nm at low temperature, color gamut covers 95 % of the International Telecommunication Union recommendation 2020 standard. The development of acid‐stable oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalysts is essential for high‐performance acidic water electrolysis. Herein, we report the results of one‐dimensional (1D) nanorods (NRs) IrCeMnO@Ir containing ~20 wt. % Iridium (Ir) as an efficient anode electrocatalyst, synthesized via a one‐step cation exchange strategy. Owing to the presence of 1D channels of the nanorod architecture and the unique electronic structure, the IrCeMnO@Ir exhibited 69 folds more mass activity than that of commercial IrO2 as well as over 400 h stability with only a 20 mV increase in overpotential. DFT calculations and control experiments demonstrated that CeO2 serves as an electron buffer to accelerate the kinetics of the rate‐determined step for the significantly enhanced activity and suppress the over‐oxidation of Ir species as well as their dissolution for impressively promoted stability under practical conditions. [Display omitted] Dimensional design and heterogeneous interface engineering are promising approaches for the fabrication of superior absorbers with high loss performance and a wide effective bandwidth. Therein, ZnO nanorods were successfully synthesized and combined with CoNi nanosheets by hydrothermal method, and PDA was then encapsulated on the surface of the material to form a unique one dimensional (1D) core-sheath structure. The extensive defects and residual functional groups are present in the calcined material, as well as the multiple heterogeneous interfaces enhance the dielectric loss induced by polarization. Simultaneously, the 1D structure wrapped with PDA offers an efficient pathway for electron transfer, hence facilitating the enhancement of conductive loss. In addition, the CoNi-LDHs sheet layer stacked on the surface not only causes multiple scattering and reflections of electromagnetic waves, but also provides magnetic losses to optimize the impedance matching. Finally, radar cross section (RCS) simulations further reveal that the composite can dissipate electromagnetic energy in practical applications. Consequently, the 1D multilayer ZnO@CoNi/C composite exhibits an optimal reflection loss of −55 dB with a thickness of 2.3 mm and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) value of 6.8 GHz when the filling ratio is only 20 wt%. The present research article deals with the study of a boundary value problem of a one-dimensional semi-infinite hygro-thermoelastic rod of length l. The deformation of the rod is under consideration when the left boundary of the hygro-thermoelastic rod is subjected to a sudden heat source. The solutions of the considered variables are decomposed in terms of normal modes. Analytical expressions of displacement, moisture concentration, temperature field, and stresses are obtained and presented graphically for different periods. By studying the one-dimensional thermal shock problem for a semi-infinite hygrothermoelastic rod, the authors aim to gain insights into the fundamental behavior of materials subjected to rapid temperature changes and moisture effects.

The rapid development of electronic information technology and the use of high-power electrical equipment have led to the increasingly serious problem of electromagnetic interference (EMI). Therefore, it is of great significance to study electromagnetic wave absorbing (EWA) materials with good absorbing properties. Compared with other wave absorbing materials, carbon-based nanomaterials such as silicon carbide (SiC), carbon nanotube (CNT), carbon nanowire (CNW) and carbon nanofiber (CNF) have the advantages of low density, large specific surface area/aspect ratio and excellent dielectric properties, which make them stand out. However, impedance mismatch caused by high conductivity and a single microwave loss mechanism seriously affect the absorption performance. In order to overcome the above shortcomings, surface modification, component control, structural design and other methods have been widely used in EWA materials in recent years to improve their absorption performance. In this review, we introduce the mechanism of microwave absorption and summarizes the research progress of one-dimensional carbon based nanomaterials and their composites. The preparation methods and microwave absorption properties of one-dimensional carbon based nanocomposites with different components, morphologies, and microstructures were discussed in detail. Finally, the challenges and future development prospects of one-dimensional carbon based nanomaterials were summarized, providing reference for the development of high-performance microwave absorbing materials.

The work discusses the analysis of the speed and acceleration of two mobiles in the study of one-dimensional movement as part of the study of kinematics, addressing in the classroom the experimental part, being projected on the board by the data show projector, where students individually, configure the system in order to observe the behavior of the blue and red furniture, comparing with the theoretical discussion also developed in the classroom. We address in an introductory way how the thinkers, philosophers, and scientists of the time of Mesopotamia and the Middle East dealt with the question of the movement of bodies and the mixture of what they believed about religion and mythology. The proposal of the operations in the simulator makes the students seek their questions and raise questions to colleagues and the teacher because, in addition to enriching the teaching-learning process, it motivates students for future proposals and consequently eases understanding of the functioning of physical theories. At the end of the simulation, we discuss the results, understanding what can change in the behavior of a mobile in front of the acceleration activation about the constant uniform movement.

Carbon/carbon composite materials, as electromagnetic wave-absorbing (EWA) materials, have been widely studied due to their excellent impedance matching and high dielectric loss. In this work, we introduced amorphous carbon into the TaC nanowire (TaCnws) matrix, effectively optimizing impedance matching. The inclusion of amorphous carbon introduces a substantial quantity of imperfections and interfaces, thereby promoting polarization. The multipolarization loss and magnetic loss mechanism generate electromagnetic synergistic loss effects, significantly improving the attenuation performance of EW. The TaCnws/C sample exhibits exceptional EWA performance, achieving a minimum reflection loss (RLmin) of −54.25 dB and an effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) of 3.6 GHz at a low thickness of merely 1.4 mm. [Display omitted] With the increased usage of electromagnetic microwaves (EM) in wireless communication technology, the problem of electromagnetic radiation pollution has grown dramatically. This study successfully prepared novel Co/C magnetic nanocomposite fibers for EM absorption using the electrospinning and carbonization methods. The morphology, composition, magnetic properties, and EM absorption performance were extensively characterized. This material shows exceptional EM absorption performance, achieving −72.01 dB (at 2.08 mm) for minimum reflection loss (RL min) and 5.4 GHz (at 1.68 mm) for effective absorption bandwidth (EAB). The performance surpasses not only any single precursor but also stands as the best in similar investigations. It can be attributed to the microstructure of magnetic Co nanoparticles encapsulated in carbon nanofibers and the macrostructure of cross-linked three-dimensional (3D) conductive networks. The combination of these structures resulted in excellent dielectric loss, magnetic loss, and impedance matching. This research offers new insights into the production of one-dimensional (1D) carbon-based absorbers, while also establishing a theoretical foundation for exploring the application potential of this material. Multicomponent supramolecular block copolymers (BCPs) have attracted much attention due to their potential functionalities, but examples of three‐component supramolecular BCPs are rare. Herein, we report the synthesis of three‐component multiblock 1D supramolecular copolymers of Ir(III) complexes 1–3 by a sequential seeded supramolecular polymerization approach. Precise control over the kinetically trapped species via the pathway complexity of the monomers is the key to the successful synthesis of BCPs with up to 9 blocks. Furthermore, 5‐block BCPs with different sequences could be synthesized by changing the addition order of the kinetic species during a sequentially seeded process. The corresponding heterogeneous nucleation‐elongation process has been confirmed by the UV/Vis absorption spectra, and each segment of the multiblock copolymers could be characterized by both TEM and SEM. Interestingly, the energy transfer leads to weakened emission of 1‐terminated and enhanced emission of 3‐terminated BCPs. Two‐dimensional (2D) imine‐based covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold potential for photocatalytic CO2 reduction. However, high energy barrier of imine linkage impede the in‐plane photoelectron transfer process, resulting in inadequate efficiency of CO2 photoreduction. Herein, we present a dimensionality induced local electronic modulation strategy through the construction of one‐dimensional (1D) pyrene‐based covalent organic frameworks (PyTTA‐COF). The dual‐chain‐like edge architectures of 1D PyTTA‐COF enable the stabilization of aromatic backbones, thus reducing energy loss during exciton dissociation and thermal relaxation, which provides energetic photoelectron to traverse the energy barrier of imine linkages. As a result, the 1D PyTTA‐COF exhibits significantly enhanced CO2 photoreduction activity under visible‐light irradiation when coordinated with metal cobalt ion, yielding a remarkable CO evolution of 1003 μmol g−1 over an 8‐hour period, which surpasses that of the corresponding 2D counterpart by a factor of 59. This paper reported on the free-surface wave behavior in a rectangular open-channel, induced by sluice-gate maneuvers. Numerical computations used the McCormack scheme to solve the one-dimensional extended St-Venant model embedding the Prandtl power-law momentum correction coefficient. The fundamental pulsation of the hydraulic system was inspected using the analogy with the water-hammer theory, known in pressurized-pipe flows. Different flow scenarios were reported; including the superposition between (i) downstream water-hammer maneuver and sine excitation of upstream flow depth and (ii) sinusoidal fluctuations of upstream lateral inflow and downstream flow-depth. Results highlighted that such sluice-gates maneuvers involved severe scenarios leading to significant amplifications of the depth peak and crest values above the initial value. Coordination polymers (CPs) have attracted greater scientific attention as promising electrode materials for lithium–ion batteries (LIBs) due to their diverse and versatile structural chemistry. This study introduces a croconate-based one-dimensional CP, namely [Fe(C5O5)(H2O)3]n) (referred to as Fe-CP), as an efficient anode material with high-performance characteristics for rechargeable LIBs. The ligand with abundant redox sites coordinating to the transition metal ion endowed the anode material with a remarkable stability in the electrolyte, in addition to high capacity, high-rate capability, and high cycling performance during charging/discharging process. The Fe-CP has a unique chain-based supramolecular structure, setting it apart from other porous three-dimensional molecular materials. The presence of unrestricted channels between the chains facilitates the diffusion of lithium ions in this unique structure. When tested at 100 mA g−1 over a range of voltages between 0.01 and 2.4 V, the Fe-CP anode demonstrated a noteworthy specific capacity of 521 mA h g−1 over 140 cycles. Moreover, the Fe-CP anode material exhibited excellent rate performance and demonstrated favorable cyclability. Following exposure to high charging and discharging rates of 2 A g−1, the anode ultimately regained its initial capability when the current rate was back at 100 mA g−1. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

One-dimensional iron–nickel (Fe–Ni) heterogeneous nanowires with superior electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption were successfully prepared by a magnetic-field-assisted liquid-phase reduction method. The electromagnetic properties of the absorber were controllably tuned by changing the atomic molar ratio of Fe to Ni. The composite with an Fe:Ni atomic molar ratio of 1:1.5 exhibited the finest EMW absorption characteristics. With a matched thickness of 2.175 mm, the minimum reflection loss (RLmin) at 18 GHz can be as high as 26.106 dB. Also, the majority of the Ku-band is covered by the effective absorption bandwidth (EAB, RL ≤ −10 dB), which is up to 6.08 GHz at 2.6 mm with a filler content of 25%. The excellent absorber performance is due to one's own rich heterogeneous interface to conciliate the dielectric and magnetic losses. The successful exploration of the one-dimensional heterogeneous structure EMW absorber provides important insights for the future sensible fabrication of absorbers with excellent EMW absorption capability. Abstract High‐entropy alloys (HEAs) inspire exploration toward vast compositional space, enabled through the mixing of multiple elements for the advent of novel materials. Moreover, the unique blend of multiple elements into an alloy form at nanoscale in various morphologies can offer exceptional functionalities with high stability that can significantly tune the physical and chemical properties of the HEAs. However, the combination of multiple elements and their downsizing to multi‐dimensional complex alloy nanostructures with limitless combinations and compositions remains highly rewarding yet intricate. Several strategies have been introduced and demonstrated to widen the scope of multi‐element alloys as zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) nanostructures and exemplify their potential as promising materials for various applications. Nevertheless, these are few and insufficient in terms of element combinations, which are mainly limited to noble metals, and dimensionality, mainly as 0D nanoparticles (NPs). This review focuses on key developments and overviews elegant strategies for the development of HEA nanoarchitectures. We predict that these developments will inspire researchers to extend their work, beyond 0D HEA NPs, toward various distinct HEA morphologies with unlimited element combinations, which can provide new avenues for emerging applications and unknown technologies. Finally, we believe that this review can offer future directions and scope for the design and development of new families of HEA nanoarchitectures with vast compositional space in distinct shapes for various unattempted applications using many unexplored methodologies.

Abstract Integration of electronic and strain effects with tailored structures is significant to tuning the electrocatalytic activity and stability of the electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). In this study, one‐dimensional PtFe hollow nanochains are synthesized by a facile and effective method, which exhibit a highly open and porous structure. The modulated electronic and strain effects of Pt atoms are verified by extensive structural characterizations, and the mass and specific activities of the prepared catalyst are roughly 7.45 and 12.44 times higher than those of the commercial Pt/C catalyst, respectively. Remarkably, the catalyst demonstrates robust performance with negligible activity decay after an accelerated durability test for 30,000 cycles. The high activity of the catalyst is probably due to the optimized absorption affinity of Pt‐O accelerating the reaction kinetics induced by the cooperation of Fe atoms as well as the unique hollow and curved structures. This study provides new insights into the rational design of high‐performance ORR catalysts with considerable durability.

One‐dimensional (1D) magnetoelectric multiferroics are promising multifunctional materials for miniaturized sensors, actuators, and memories. However, 1D materials with both ferroelectricity and ferromagnetism are quite rare. Herein, using first‐principles calculations, a series of fullerene‐based 1D chains, namely U2C@C80‐M (M = Cr, Mn, Mo, and Ru) 1D chains with both ferroelectric (FE) and ferromagnetic (FM) properties is designed. Compared to individual U2C@Ih(7)‐C80, the spontaneous polarization (Ps) in 1D chains is enhanced by about two to four times owing to the interaction between U2C@Ih(7)‐C80 fullerene and M (M = Cr, Mn, Mo, and Ru) atoms. The present research article deals with the study of a boundary value problem of a one-dimensional semi-infinite hygro-thermoelastic rod of length l. The deformation of the rod is under consideration when the left boundary of the hygro-thermoelastic rod is subjected to a sudden heat source. The solutions of the considered variables are decomposed in terms of normal modes. Analytical expressions of displacement, moisture concentration, temperature field, and stresses are obtained and presented graphically for different periods. By studying the one-dimensional thermal shock problem for a semi-infinite hygrothermoelastic rod, the authors aim to gain insights into the fundamental behavior of materials subjected to rapid temperature changes and moisture effects. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of initial values of soil mean grain size ( d 50 0 ) and soil uniformity coefficient ( C u 0 ) on the one-dimensional compression behavior of granular soils. Soil samples consisting of equant-shaped, calcerous origin, crushed individual grains with a grain size range of 2.00–25.00 mm were examined in the laboratory tests. The yield stress, the initial and final stresses of the virgin compression line (VCL), and the hardening stress of soil samples during one-dimensional compression behavior were determined. Results indicated that an increase in the soil’s initial mean grain size and a decrease in the soil’s initial uniformity coefficient led to an increase in the value of these oedometric stresses. Soil samples reached the virgin compression line at an axial deformation ε a V C L - i of 10–13% and passed this line at an axial deformation ε a V C L - f of 26–30%. It was observed that the instantaneous index void ratio values e min i and e max i of the soil samples decreased linearly with a slope α e of 0.10 in the e - ln σ V plane during one-dimensional compression. The curve of the soil’s instantaneous minimum void ratio e min i values during one-dimensional compression was proposed as a lower boundary for the one-dimensional compression curve of granular soils. Abstract One‐dimensional (1D) magnetoelectric multiferroics are promising multifunctional materials for miniaturized sensors, actuators, and memories. However, 1D materials with both ferroelectricity and ferromagnetism are quite rare. Herein, using first‐principles calculations, a series of fullerene‐based 1D chains, namely U2C@C80‐M (M = Cr, Mn, Mo, and Ru) 1D chains with both ferroelectric (FE) and ferromagnetic (FM) properties is designed. Compared to individual U2C@Ih(7)‐C80, the spontaneous polarization (Ps) in 1D chains is enhanced by about two to four times owing to the interaction between U2C@Ih(7)‐C80 fullerene and M (M = Cr, Mn, Mo, and Ru) atoms. Both graphene and hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN) have found their application in catalysis and electronic devices owing to their unique π electronic nature. However, it remains unclear on how their sizes and growing modes influence their electronic properties. In order to extensively understand their structure–property relationship to stimulate and assist potential applications, in this work, the electronic structures of the polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and polyborazines (boron nitride nanosheets, BNNSs) were analyzed by means of density functional theory calculations to investigate how the one‐ and two‐dimensional growth of their building blocks, benzene and borazine, respectively, may modulate/govern their aromaticity and reactivities. The analysis shows that the aromaticity and reactivity of PAHs exhibit significant response to their geometries, while the properties of BNNSs show strong localization nature and are nearly size‐independent. This unique nature of BNNSs is different from both the organic polyaromatic molecules and the inorganic metal/metal oxides whose reactivity may be significantly enhanced upon modulating their sizes, and offers implications in the design of new materials grafted by BNNS for manipulatable electronic properties. This study also brings caution on the application of widely used aromaticity descriptors, and shows that in general the descriptors derived from electronic structure are more reliable. Correlated states have emerged in low-dimensional systems owing to enhanced Coulomb interactions. Elucidating these states requires atomic-scale characterization and delicate control capabilities. Herein, spectroscopic imaging-scanning tunneling microscopy was employed to investigate the correlated states residing in 1D electrons of the monolayer and bilayer MoSe2 mirror twin boundary (MTB). The Coulomb energies, determined by the wire length, drive the MTB into two types of ground states with distinct respective out-of-phase and in-phase charge orders. The two ground states can be reversibly converted through a metastable zero-energy state with in situ voltage pulses, which tune the electron filling of the MTB via a polaronic process, substantiated by first-principles calculations. Our Hubbard model calculation with an exact diagonalization method reveals the ground states as correlated insulators from an on-site U-originated Coulomb interaction, dubbed the Hubbard-type Coulomb blockade effect. This paper proposes a one-dimensional (1D) maximum power point tracking (MPPT) design which only requires measurement of one parameter (the input voltage of a switched-capacitor charge pump) for calibrating a power converter including the charge pump and thermoelectric generator. The frequency of the clock to drive the charge pump is designed to minimize the circuit area of the entire charge pump circuit for generating a target output current at a specific output voltage. The ratio of the capacitance value of each boosting capacitor (C) to the size of the switching MOSFET can be determined to maximize the transferring current at the same time. When a thermoelectric generator (TEG) is given, its output impedance is determined. Its open-circuit voltage varies with the temperature difference between two plates of the TEG. MPPT maximizes the output power of the charge pump even when the temperature difference varies. It was indicated that the number of stages of charge pump (N) needs to increase when the temperature difference lowers, whereas C needs to decrease inversely proportional to N, meaning that the C–N product should be kept unchanged for MPPT. It is well known that the one-dimensional cutting stock problem (1DCSP) is a combinatorial optimization problem with nondeterministic polynomial (NP-hard) characteristics. Heuristic and genetic algorithms are the two main algorithms used to solve the cutting stock problem (CSP), which has problems of small scale and low-efficiency solutions. To better improve the stability and versatility of the solution, a mathematical model is established, with the optimization objective of the minimum raw material consumption and the maximum remaining material length. Meanwhile, a novel algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is proposed in this paper. The algorithm consists of two modules, each designed for different functions. Firstly, the pointer network with encoder and decoder structure is used as the policy network to utilize the underlying mode shared by the 1DCSP. Secondly, the model-free reinforcement learning algorithm is used to train network parameters and optimize the cutting sequence. The experimental data show that the one-dimensional cutting stock algorithm model based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL-CSP) can obtain the approximate satisfactory solution on 82 instances of 3 data sets in a very short time, and shows good generalization performance and practical application potential. Researchers have focused on sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) due to low precursor costs and abundant reserves. However, low efficiency of anode materials hinders SIB commercialization, mainly due to large ionic radius and slow kinetics of Na+. Metal selenides such as Sb 2 Se 3 have regarded as promising anode materials of SIBs due to high theoretical capacities. Despite this, the practical application has been limited by the poor rate capability, conductivity, and stability. In this study, one-dimensional Sb 2 Se 3 nanorods and nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (N-CQDs) combined with carbon nanofibers (CNFs) have been developed as an effective anode material of SIBs. The uniform distribution of N-CQDs in the Sb 2 Se 3 coated CNFs (Sb 2 Se 3 /CNFs) anode results in the highest reversible capacity of 647.9 mAhg−1 at 0.05 Ag-1. Moreover, the Sb 2 Se 3 and N-CQDs coated CNFs (Sb 2 Se 3 @N-CQDs/CNFs) anode presents a good rate performance and retains a high reversible capacity of 444.7 mAhg−1 at a high current density of 0.4 Ag-1. Additionally, the Sb 2 Se 3 @N-CQDs/CNFs anode demonstrates excellent stability, retaining 78.8% of the initial capacity after 100 cycles. The improved electrochemical performance is attributed to low volume expansion and good conductivity due to carbon coating and addition of N-CQDs. Amidst the rapid surge in electrical device utilization, there is an urgent need for advanced power supply solutions. Flexible supercapacitors, renowned for their remarkable electrochemical properties, emerge as a promising remedy. This study employs in situ techniques on copper wire (CW) to obtain active materials for both the electrodes. The positive CW@Cu(OH) 2 electrode, synthesized through vapor-phase reaction between CW and NH 3 ·H 2 O, yields copper hydroxide (Cu(OH) 2) nanosheets via an alkali-assisted oxidation process. Comparative analysis of CW@Cu(OH) 2 electrodes under varying reaction conditions revealed that the Cu(OH) 2 nanosheets, characterized by their small size and high distribution density on CW, significantly enhance electrochemical performance. The optimized CW@Cu(OH) 2 electrode achieved a specific capacitance of 195.7 mF cm−2. This in situ growth method effectively prevents active material detachment, resulting in electrodes with minimal internal resistance. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs), also synthesized in situ via chemical vapor deposition on CW, serve as the active materials for the negative electrode. Assembled in parallel, the flexible supercapacitor, CW@Cu(OH) 2 //KOH-PVA//CW@CNTs, achieves a specific capacitance of 1.59 F cm−3 at a current density of 0.1 A cm−3, with an energy density of 0.496 mWh cm−3 at a power density of 15 mW cm−3. Demonstrating robust capacitance retention across varying current densities and diverse bending angles, this supercapacitor signifies a versatile and stable power storage solution. The article is devoted to the description of the method of multidimensional database, which is an effective method of data storage, which allows analyzing data qualitatively, and most importantly in a short time. The article discusses the capabilities of multidimensional databases, in particular, multidimensional OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) cubes when analyzing large amounts of data. Provides an overview and features of a multidimensional database and discusses the steps you need to take with a multidimensional database to understand the structure and capabilities of an OLAP cube. To create a knowledge base, it describes the steps you can take to create and execute a multidimensional database that you can collect from various sources, save to a database, and then prepare a report using OLAP analysis. Various information system data processing technologies such as OLTP and OLAP were considered. The algorithm of the data storage process for analysis purposes was studied. A model of a multidimensional database in the form of a three-dimensional cube was presented. Examples of analysis and ways of obtaining information from the data cube were also given. The use of a multidimensional database in higher education institutions as a simple and effective method of data storage is considered. There are also illustrations of the structure of a higher educational institution to see the bulkiness of information, and what kind of information database operates in the educational institution.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been regarded as one of the most promising materials for efficient energy conversion technologies, especially heterogeneous catalysis, since they were initially developed. Recently, one-dimensional (1D) MOFs and their derived materials have shown great potential for electrocatalysis owing to the combination of the characteristics of 1D structure and MOFs, such as favorable charge transfer, adjustable metal center, abundant active sites and porous structure. This review focuses first on the synthesis and structure of 1D MOF materials, and briefly summarizes the application in electrocatalysis. Two main methods, i.e., template-assisted and template-free methods, are introduced by typical examples and the obtained different 1D structures are analyzed. Then the application of 1D MOF and its derived materials are comprehensively described and the structural merits of heterogeneous electrocatalysis are emphasized. Although many 1D MOFs have been developed, exploring a simple and high-yield method to prepare high-crystallized 1D MOF materials for electrocatalysis remains a great challenge. We aim to present the state of the 1D MOFs in the field of electrocatalysis and contribute to the rational design and synthesis of 1D MOFs.

High‐entropy alloys (HEAs) inspire exploration toward vast compositional space, enabled through the mixing of multiple elements for the advent of novel materials. Moreover, the unique blend of multiple elements into an alloy form at nanoscale in various morphologies can offer exceptional functionalities with high stability that can significantly tune the physical and chemical properties of the HEAs. However, the combination of multiple elements and their downsizing to multi‐dimensional complex alloy nanostructures with limitless combinations and compositions remains highly rewarding yet intricate. Several strategies have been introduced and demonstrated to widen the scope of multi‐element alloys as zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) nanostructures and exemplify their potential as promising materials for various applications. Nevertheless, these are few and insufficient in terms of element combinations, which are mainly limited to noble metals, and dimensionality, mainly as 0D nanoparticles (NPs). This review focuses on key developments and overviews elegant strategies for the development of HEA nanoarchitectures. We predict that these developments will inspire researchers to extend their work, beyond 0D HEA NPs, toward various distinct HEA morphologies with unlimited element combinations, which can provide new avenues for emerging applications and unknown technologies. Finally, we believe that this review can offer future directions and scope for the design and development of new families of HEA nanoarchitectures with vast compositional space in distinct shapes for various unattempted applications using many unexplored methodologies. The heat and mass transfer to solid particles in one-dimensional oscillating flows are investigated in this work. A meta-correlation for the calculation of the Nusselt number (Sherwood number) is derived by comparing 33 correlations and data point sets from experiments and simulations. These models are all unified by their dependencies on the amplitude parameter 10 − 3 ≤ ϵ ≤ 10 3 and the Reynolds number 10 − 1 ≤ R e ≤ 10 6 , while the ϵ - R e plane is applied as a framework in order to graphically display the various models. This is the first study to consider this problem in the entire ϵ - R e plane quantitatively while taking preexisting asymptotic models for various areas of the ϵ - R e plane into account. Among clean energy transformation devices, fuel cells have gained special attention over the past years; however, advancing appropriate non-valuable metal impetuses to halfway supplant the customary Pt/C impetus is still in progress. In this paper, we propose a specific electrocatalyst in the formula of highly-active Cu species, associated with coated carbon (Cu@C-800), for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) through post-treatment of a self-assembled precursor. The optimized catalyst Cu@C-800 showed excellent ORR performance (i.e., the onset potential was 1.00 V vs. RHE, and half-wave potential of 0.81 V vs. RHE), high stability, resistance to methanol, and high four-electron selectivity. A semianalytical solution was obtained in the time domain directly for the one-dimensional transient response of a saturated multilayered soil column under typical boundary conditions based on Biot theory, which could take into account the inertial, viscous, and mechanical couplings of saturated porous soil media. First, one-dimensional wave equations were established by using the nondimensionless method. Then, by decomposing the displacement solution into dynamic and static components, the boundary conditions of the soil column were homogenized. The transfer matrix method was used to obtain the eigenvalue and eigenfunction of homogenized boundary conditions. With the help of undetermined coefficients and orthogonality of eigenfunctions methods, the solution to the problem of nonhomogeneous boundary conditions could be converted to solve the initial value problem of a series of ordinary differential equations. The semianalytical solutions were approached by the precise time-integration method. The proposed method can be used for a soil column under various boundary conditions. Several numerical simulations were carried out to validate this method. Finally, the one-dimensional transient responses of hard–soft double-layered saturated soil under step load was analyzed. A dual‐view one‐dimensional integral imaging display using parallax barrier is proposed. It is composed of a display panel, a parallax barrier, a polarized array, and two pairs of polarized glasses. The polarized array consists of two kinds of orthogonal polarized units that are alternately aligned. Two kinds of elemental images are aligned to the corresponding polarized units, respectively. The lights emitted from two kinds of elemental images are, respectively, modulated by the corresponding slits and polarized units, and two three‐dimensional (3D) images are simultaneously reconstructed in the viewing zone. Two pairs of orthogonal polarized glasses are introduced to separate two reconstructed 3D images. Only one of the two reconstructed 3D images is seen by wearing either pairs of polarized glasses. An experimental setup was developed, and the viewing angle of the dual‐view one‐dimensional integral imaging display is proportional to the aperture width of the slit. This paper applies a Multiple-Grid technique -based Finite Element algorithm to predict the free-surface wave behavior in trapezoidal open-channel. This technique aims to limit the computational time consumed in the standard Finite Element procedure. The spatial integration of the flow model uses a Discontinuous Galerkin approach; while the time integration employs a Semi Implicit Euler method. The test case relates to the transient flow regime arising from the failure of a hydraulic power plant placed at the downstream extremity of an open-channel. Results show better performances of the Multiple-Grid technique compared to the conventional one in terms of consumed computational time criterion. Integration of electronic and strain effects with tailored structures is significant to tuning the electrocatalytic activity and stability of the electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). In this study, one‐dimensional PtFe hollow nanochains are synthesized by a facile and effective method, which exhibit a highly open and porous structure. The modulated electronic and strain effects of Pt atoms are verified by extensive structural characterizations, and the mass and specific activities of the prepared catalyst are roughly 7.45 and 12.44 times higher than those of the commercial Pt/C catalyst, respectively. Remarkably, the catalyst demonstrates robust performance with negligible activity decay after an accelerated durability test for 30,000 cycles. The high activity of the catalyst is probably due to the optimized absorption affinity of Pt‐O accelerating the reaction kinetics induced by the cooperation of Fe atoms as well as the unique hollow and curved structures.
