Purpose- The major objective of this paper was to scrutinize the impact of corruption control on Islamic banking performance in the United Arab Emirates. So the performance of Islamic banks was determined by the profitability as a specific objective of this study. Methodology- Panel data was grounded on quantitative analysis applied. Also, the study collects data from secondary sources from 2000 up to 2019. The sample of this paper comprised a total of 18 banks that were selected in the UAE. Data were collected from the World Bank data set and annual financial reports for each selected bank. The study analyzed the data based on descriptive statistic, correlation matrix, and static models which includes pooled OLS model, random effect, and fixed effect to achieve the study objective. So, results were presented in the form of tables for descriptive analyses of the key variables applied, correlation as well as static models. The static model that was applied for this study provides the uniqueness of this paper because most of the previous corresponding studies did not employ a static model but used a dynamic model especially the Generalized Method of moment (GMM). So, the originality of this study firstly, it is the earliest study that used a static model, and secondly, this study may be the first to look at the impact of corruption control on Islamic bank's profitability. This is because most of the study is based on the impact of corruption and not corruption control like this study. Findings – The findings have shown that corruption control and bank profitability have a statistical correlation relationship and its coefficient revealed a positive association which indicates that in the UAE control of corruption would increase the profitability of Islamic banks. The discussions of the findings show that some previous studies are consistence with the study while others are inconsistent. The results of this implied that the Islamic bank flourish and benefit from the corruption-controlling strategies that existed in UAE. Conclusion – The study recommends that in UAE and other countries the zero-tolerance policy for corruption mitigation and eradication is a perfect way, efforts should take and should be achievable right now. So alternative way to expression at this is in terms of Islamic finance should not tolerate non-Shariah compliant elements and any element of the practice of corruption. So, the strong practice of corruption in the Muslim states and non-Muslim states hinders the progress of Islamic financial institutions (IFIs). From these results, Islamic finance should insist on the application of its principles for every Industry that offers Islamic finance products and services.

ARA Petroleum Exploration and Production Company has successfully installed a hybrid off-grid semi- fixed solar system to power an Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) for a water supply well in Oman's remote area (Oil North Field). The system is designed to provide the power output of a 40 KW water ESP pump. The pump usually runs for 10 hrs/day. The well is used for supplying water for drilling activities and other operational requirements with an actual power of 30 KW. The uniqueness of this system is its ability to power the ESP well directly without an over-headline (OHL) with a synchronizing system and an automated switchover to a diesel generator when required. Moreover, a real-time operation system that can be downloaded on a mobile application. In addition, a CCTV camera, and solar lighting are available in the location to control and monitor the performance of the solar system. Utilizing solar systems in this project provides a cost saving on diesel consumption and reduces its associated CO2/GHG emissions. The system runs in the daytime on solar for 6 hours. The rest of the 4 hours is compensated with diesel. The anticipated cost saving on diesel consumption and CO2 emission reduction is around 60%. The success of this project will allow the technology to be replicated in many locations in remote areas. In order, to support the ICV and develop SME companies, the project was awarded to a local SME company, and the learning from this installation was shared between the vendor and ARA E & P, as this system was the first of its kind implemented in Oman.

Produced water, which in many cases shows a high degree of salinity, is currently managed using water disposal wells and evaporation ponds. Both methods are conventional and have negative environmental impacts. ARA is adopting a unique and innovative method to manage high salinity produced water in an environmentally sustainable way by extracting potable water from produced water and reducing discharge water volume by at least 50%. For desalination of the produced water an innovative combination of forward and direct osmosis technology is used. This process is driven mostly by thermal energy which is provided to 100% solar thermal collectors. The structure of the plant is as follows: A solar thermal power plant consisting of 2 desert- and oilfield-proof solar thermal collectors ("HELIOtubes") with thermal energy storage (TES) using pressurized water for nighttime operations (24/7). The solar thermal plant powers an advanced forward osmosis desalination (FO) and brine concentration Direct Osmosis (DO) unit with pre-treatment unit to cope with the challenging produced water. This project is in the pipeline for implementation. The engineering and the planning design were successfully completed. Two main results are expected from this project, which is: (i) low-cost and low-maintenance thermal power and (ii) desalinated water from the produced water meeting the regulatory specifications. It is a state-of-the-art system integration engineering based on the simulation of the innovative desert-proof solar thermal plant including TES using 10-year historical satellite-based irradiation data to show optimal use of renewable energy. Lab studies show how low energy consumption pre-treatment of the challenging produced water with its difficult chemical composition can be achieved, allowing membrane-based forward osmosis to be applied even at a salinity level that is 3-times higher than seawater. That leads to high energy efficiency for desalination also at nighttime based on thermal power from cost-effective TES instead of expensive batteries. This system could be considered a game-changer in the oil and gas industry because it introduces a new water management methodology.

This study aims to determine the role of job performance in achieving the strategic objectives in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in the Sultanate of Oman. Where the researcher assumes that there is a statistically significant impact at the level of significance of the role of job performance in achieving strategic objectives in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in Oman. To achieve the objectives of the research was used descriptive analytical method. The researcher also developed a questionnaire consisting of 28 paragraphs representing an independent variable is the functional performance and a dependent variable, which is the strategic objectives in addition to the personal and functional characteristics of the sample members. The study population included the 3000 employees of the Ministry of Agriculture in the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher selected a sample of 338 employees. Major and minor tools will be used for research such as questionnaires, books, previous studies, publications and others. SPSS will also be used to analyze the results of the questionnaire. Based on the previous studies, the researcher concluded that the job performance has a great impact on the strategic objectives, where the more effective the performance, the higher the percentage of achieving the strategic goals.

Objective:Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), which occurs in ~1/500 deliveries, represents the disorders that arise due to adherent placenta, which may infiltrate adjacent organs, including the urinary tract. Recently, its incidence rate has increased because of increasing rate of cesarean deliveries worldwide.Materials and Methods:Case records of all institutional deliveries that took place at a single, tertiary care hospital within two years were reviewed to identify all patients with PAS. The case records of patients who required urological referral were studied.Results:In total, 80 patients were diagnosed with PAS. Ten patients (12.5%) required urological referral for urinary tract involvement. All (100%) patients showed bladder involvement. Two patients (2.5%) required ureteric reimplantation. One patient (1.2%) required bilateral ureterostomies as an urgent temporizing measure because the bladder was extensively infiltrated. All patients were discharged in a stable condition. There were no long-term urological complications observed in patients who followed up (90%).Conclusion:PAS is a condition with high mortality and morbidity rates and increasing incidence. The findings of this study correlate well with international series on PAS. A multidisciplinary management team is necessary to manage the myriad complications that may arise from PAS.

Background: Labor is a multifactorial and dynamic process which involves myometrial contraction, cervical ripening and dilation and the expulsion of the fetus and placenta in an orderly manner. Objective: To study the efficacy and safety of Hyoscine-N-butyl bromide (HNBB) on enhancement of cervical effacement and dilation during normal labor, duration of labor and mode of delivery compared to the control group. Patients and methods: This was a randomized un blinded controlled trial was conducted on pregnant women in active phase of first stage of labor from those attendant labor ward of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Sohag General Hospital. 200 pregnant women were recruited to this study and divided into 2 equal groups. Study group received Buscopan 20 mg diluted in 9 ml saline slowly intravenously and control group received 10 mL normal saline. Results: The mean duration of active phase of labor in the study group and control group was found to be 186 and 338 minutes respectively (p value = 0.0001). No significant difference was observed in the duration of second and third stage of labor, mode of delivery, birth weight, Apgar score and color of the liquor in both the groups. Conclusion: Administration of HNBB i.v. significantly reduced the duration time of cervical dilation in the active phase of first stage of labor, thereby reducing the total duration of labor. Hyoscine –N- butyl bromide is a new aid in the management of uncomplicated labor for a convenient shorter and safer physiological delivery making it more tolerable for the mother.

Aims: This paper studies the determinants of Islamic banking profitability and liquidity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Tanzania. It was comparative study. The study gives empirical comparisons between Islamic banks in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Tanzania in their performance bases. Study design: This study covers the samples of five (5) Islamic banks where by two (2) banks from Tanzania that are People Bank of Zanzibar in Islamic branch (PBZIB) and Amana Islamic bank (AIB). In the side of United Arab Emirates (UAE) three (3) Islamic banks were selected which includes Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAD) this is not an IB and Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB). The study used secondary data of selected variables which employing panel data for the period of ten (10) years from 2010- 2019. Due to data was on panel bases which includes the two independents variables. Methodology: To calculate profitability, the Return on Assets (ROA) was used and in liquidity in IBs deposit ratio (LDR) used to measure the liquidity .The study uses descriptive statistical analysis, correlation, multiple regression analysis for two equations according to settled objectives. The three macroeconomic variables were selected that are Gross Domestic Product per capita (GDP), inflation (INF) and exchange rate (EXCH). An autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model was applied because the result becomes mixed in the unit root test. Results: The findings reveal satisfactory evidence that all selected variables are statistical significance in long run relationship except inflation in UAE. The outcomes of the study indicated that selected macroeconomic variables (GDP per capita, Inflation and exchange rates have a major 5% effect on bank profitability and liquidity in Tanzania and the United Arab Emirates. Conclusion: The study therefore recommends the Tanzania Islamic banks should adopt several policies in order to control the liquidity which is very difference like UAE banks.

The problem system analysis of models and methods coordinated management in multi-agent systems is formulated. This systems are intellectual active systems. Matter of theory multi-agent systems are uncovered. Character of methods coordinated management is presented as totality of formalize and not formalize methods of system analysis. Basic classis of conduct models in systems man–machine of coordinated management and adoption decisions are presented. Fuzzy algorithms are elaborated, which are realizing of group by investigation of operations with computers and model of conduct of intellectual active system. This system is interactive system man-machine of modeling coordinated optimization in diffuse conditions. The extensive use of educational processes of educational institutions and in the system of combat training determines the relevance of the development of methods for justifying training equipment, evaluating their effectiveness and the effectiveness of training provides. One of these methods may be the target management method, proposed in this paper and not previously used in this subject area. The method of targeted training management involves determining the goals of training and the re-quirements for its means, the structure, and content of training, and testing the results of training. The paper justifies the choice of different categories of students of different simulators and meth-ods for evaluating the effectiveness of training for different students’ categories. Based on the func-tions of the students' activities, the authors propose and justify the activity classification of the trained operators and their division into three categories, three levels. Under the accepted classification, the authors define the requirements for training equipment and the organization of training equipment. Methods of forming assignments for students under the objectives of training and evaluation of its re-sults, including automation of training assessment, are fundamental in the organization of simulator training based on the method of target management. The paper suggests the following procedure for the development of mathematical software automate the assessment of the preparation: the choice of control parameters and the objective function devel-opment, the parameters and rating scales exercises development, the drafting of the algorithm and pro-vide recommendations. The target management method for evaluating the effectiveness of simulator training is developed because of over ten years of experience in using simulators in the educational process and the authors’ personal participation in their creation and use.
