Purpose: Studies indicate that the rated perceived exertion (RPE) during physical exercise can be lower in field environments than indoors. The environmental conditions of those studies are explored. Furthermore, we study if the same phenomenon is valid when cycling indoors versus in cycle commuting environments with high levels of stimuli from both traffic and suburban-urban elements. Methods: Twenty commuter cyclists underwent measurements of heart rate (HR) and oxygen uptake (V̇O2) and RPE assessments for breathing and legs, respectively, while cycling in both laboratory and field conditions. A validated mobile metabolic system was used in the field to measure V̇O2. Three submaximal cycle ergometer workloads in the laboratory were used to establish linear regression equations between RPE and % of HR reserve (%HRR) and %V̇O2max, separately. Based on these equations, RPE from the laboratory was predicted and compared with RPE levels at the participants’ individual cycle commutes at equal intensities. The same approach was used to predict field intensities and for comparisons with corresponding measured intensities at equal RPE levels. Results: The predicted RPE levels based on the laboratory cycling were significantly higher than the RPE levels in cycle commuting at equal intensities (67% of HRR; 65% of V̇O2max). For breathing, the mean RPE levels were; 14.0-14.2 in the laboratory and 12.6 in the field. The corresponding levels for legs were; 14.0-14.2 and 11.5. The range of predicted field intensities in terms of %HRR and %V̇O2max was 46-56%, which corresponded to median differences of 19-30% compared to the measured intensities in field at equal RPE. Conclusion: The cycle commuters perceived a lower exertion during their cycle commutes compared to ergometer cycling in a laboratory at equal exercise intensities. Genom narrativ analys av fyra berättelser undersöker denna studie så kallade glasbarns levda erfarenheter av deras uppväxt med deras syskon. Syftet med studien är att vidga förståelsen av hur barn påverkas av att växa upp med ett syskon med omfattande vårdbehov orsakat av funktionsnedsättning eller sjukdom. Den narrativa analysen har skett i tre steg: 1) enskild analys av var berättelse; 2) identifiering av huvudnarrativ, och 3) analys av huvudnarrativ. Den narrativa analysen grundade sig framför allt i poststrukturalistisk narrativ teori, men med en antagen utgångspunkt i socialkonstruktivism. Analysprocessen resulterade i två huvudnarrativ: normalisering och internalisering av sociala roller. Dessa huvudnarrativ kunde sedan brytas ned i underteman som skildrar narrativens komplexitet och nyans. Under normalisering identifierades undertemana: normalisera för samhället; vem hade personen kunnat vara?, och; att passa in i det normativa. Narrativet om internalisering av sociala roller kunder brytas ned i undertemana: att navigera tilldelade sociala roller; att känna ansvar och skuld, och; svårighet med att skapa egen identitet. Slutsatser som dras är att glasbarn har en tudelad relation till normer och normalisering och att tilldelade sociala roller tillsammans med förväntningar, skuld och ansvar hämmar deras förmåga till identitetsskapande., Through a narrative analysis of four stories, this study examines the lived experiences of so-called "glass children" during their upbringing with a sibling. The objective is to enhance the understanding of how children are affected by growing up with a sibling requiring high care due to disability or illness. The narrative analysis involves three steps: 1) analysing each story; 2) identifying main narratives; and 3) analysing main narratives. The narrative analysis is rooted in poststructuralist narrative theory but grounded in social constructivism. The analysis yielded two main narratives: normalization and internalization of social roles. Themes capturing the complexity and nuance of these narratives could be extracted. From the normalization narrative, the following themes emerged: normalization for society; envisioning an alternative identity, and; conforming to societal norms. The internalization of social roles narrative could be subdivided into: navigating assigned social roles; feeling responsibility and guilt; and struggling with self-identity. The conclusions drawn suggest that glass children have a complex relationship with norms and normalization, and that assigned roles, coupled with expectations, guilt, and responsibility, impede the ability to develop a sense of identity.

Background It is important to examine how motorized traffic variables affect pedestrians along a gradient from rural to inner urban settings. Methods Relations between pedestrians´ perceptions of four traffic variables and appraisals of route environments as hindering – stimulating for walking as well as unsafe – safe for reasons of traffic, were therefore studied in the inner urban area of Stockholm, Sweden (n = 294). The pedestrians rated their perceptions and appraisals with the Active Commuting Route Environment Scale (ACRES). Correlation, multiple regression, and mediation analyses were used to study the relationships between the traffic variables and the outcome variables. Results Noise related negatively to both hindering – stimulating for walking, and to unsafety – safety for traffic reasons. Vehicle speed related negatively to unsafety – safety for traffic reasons. Furthermore, vehicle speed protruded as an important origin of the deterring effects of traffic among those who commute by foot. Conclusion The study shows the value of both partial and simultaneous analyses of the effect of all four traffic variables in relation to outcome variables relevant for walking., FAAP & PACS

AIM: To explore the experiences of living with symptomatic atrial fibrillation. DESIGN: This study, with a descriptive qualitative adesign, was performed using semi-structured individual interviews. METHOD: Six women and nine men with symptomatic atrial fibrillation were included. The transcribed interviews were analysed using qualitative content analysis. The COREQ checklist was followed. RESULTS: The analysis resulted in a main theme, namely balancing life and included the themes striving for illness control, becoming a receiver or an active partner in care and dealing with changed self-image. The participants strived to understand their illness, prevent attacks and manage anxiety. Some of the participants were not involved in decision-making, were uninformed about self-care measures, reported a lack of continuity in care and felt that the doctors focused on information about the medical part of care.

För att detektera program på en dator går det attta till olika metoder.Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka om det går att identifiera kryptobrytningmed hjälp av verktyg som kan analysera paket som skickas över nätverk frånett kryptobrytningsprogram. Samtidigt observeras det vilka varianter avartefakter som kan urskiljas och vilka andra typer av metoder det finns atttillgå vid detektion av kryptobrytning.Resultatet visar att enbart specifika typer av kryptobrytningsattacker kanupptäckas med paketanalysatorer och systemverktyg eftersom en hackarekan, i de flesta fall, förbipassera verktygen. Däremot visar i de flesta fallresultatet att det finns nackdelar respektive fördelar med varje metod. Various methods can beemployed to detect such programs on a computer.The purpose of this work is to investigate whether it is possible to identifycrypto mining using tools that can analyze packets transmitted over thenetwork from a crypto mining program. Additionally, it is observed whichvariants of artifacts can be distinguished and what other types of methods areavailable for detecting crypto mining.The result shows that only specific types of crypto mining attacks can bedetected using packet analyzers and system tools, as a hacker can bypass thesetools in most cases. However, the result also indicates that there aredisadvantages and advantages to each method. The most effective way toprotect your assets and organizational resources is to use a multi-layeredstrategy by combining all types of methods. BACKGROUND: Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is worse in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) compared with other populations. Factors affecting HRQoL in patients with AF are not fully clarified. Illness perceptions are important determinants of disease management and may affect HRQoL. OBJECTIVE: The aims of this study were to describe illness perceptions and HRQoL in women and men with AF and to explore the relationship between illness perceptions and HRQoL in patients with AF. METHODS: This cross-sectional study included 167 patients with AF. Patients completed the Revised Illness Perception Questionnaire and HRQoL questionnaires: Arrhythmia-Specific questionnaire in Tachycardia and Arrhythmias, the three-level version of the EuroQol 5-dimensional questionnaire, and EuroQol visual analog scale. Subscales of the Revised Illness Perception Questionnaire significant in correlation analysis with the Arrhythmia-Specific questionnaire in Tachycardia and Arrhythmias HRQoL total scale were included in a multiple linear regression model. RESULTS: Mean age was 68.7 ± 10.4 years, and 31.1% were women. Women reported lower personal control (P = .039) and worse HRQoL measured with the Arrhythmia-Specific questionnaire in Tachycardia and Arrhythmias physical subscale (P = .047) and the EuroQol visual analog scale (P = .044) compared with men. Illness identity (P < .001), consequences (P = .031), emotional representation (P = .014), and timeline cyclical (P = .022) were related to and adversely affected HRQoL. CONCLUSIONS: This study found a relationship between illness perceptions and HRQoL. Some subscales of illness perceptions negatively affected HRQoL in patients with AF, which indicates that efforts to change illness perceptions may be helpful in improving HRQoL. Background: Quantification of movement intensity and energy utilization, together with frequency of trips, duration, distance, step counts and cadence, is essential for interpreting the character of habitual walking for transport, and its potential support of health. The purpose of the study is to illuminate this with valid methods and novel perspectives, and to thereby provide a new basis for characterizing and interpreting walking in relation to health outcomes. Methods: Habitual middle-aged commuting pedestrians (males = 10, females= 10) were investigated in the laboratory at rest and with maximal treadmill and cycle ergometer tests. Thereafter, levels of oxygen uptake, energy expenditure, ventilation, heart rate, blood lactate, rated perceived exertion, cadence, number of steps, duration, distance, and speed were recorded during the normal walking commute of each participant in Greater Stockholm, Sweden. The number of commutes per week over the year was self-reported. Results: Walking in the field demanded about 30% more energy per km compared to level treadmill walking. For both sexes, the walking intensity in field was about 46% of maximal oxygen uptake, and energy expenditure amounted to 0.96 kcal · kg−1 · km−1. The MET values (males: 6.2; females:6.5) mirrored similar levels of walking speed (males: 5.7; females: 5.9 km · h−1) and levels of oxygen uptake (males: 18.6; females: 19.5mL · kg−1 · min−1). The average number of MET-hours per week in a typical month was 22 for males and 20 for females. This resulted in a total weekly energy expenditure of∼1,570 and 1,040 kcal for males and females, respectively. Over the year, the number of walking commutes and their accumulated distance was ∼385 tripsand 800 km for both sexes. Conclusion: Walking in naturalistic field settings demands its own studies. Aim: The aim of this study was to explore patients’ experiences of preventive anticoagulation therapy in atrial fibrillation. Design: This was a descriptive qualitative study based on interviews. Methods: Individual interviews with 15 patients, 6 women and 9 men, treated with preventive oral anticoagulant due to atrial fibrillation, were conducted. The interviews were analysed with qualitative content analysis. Results: Based on the analysis, the theme Managing a necessary evil emerged. The theme comprised the three categories: Coping with anxiety and changes in daily life, Having confidence in care and Being a partner or only a receiver of treatment. Patients described it like being faced with a situation where a treatment perceived as vital was weighed against undesirable consequences and risks. Patients trusted caregivers and had confidence in care, but there was a risk of being a receiver of care instead of becoming a partner.

The threat posed by invasive non-native species worldwide requires a global approach to identify which introduced species are likely to pose an elevated risk of impact to native species and ecosystems. To inform policy, stakeholders and management decisions on global threats to aquatic ecosystems, 195 assessors representing 120 risk assessment areas across all six inhabited continents screened 819 non-native species from 15 groups of aquatic organisms (freshwater, brackish, marine plants and animals) using the Aquatic Species Invasiveness Screening Kit. This multi-lingual decision-support tool for the risk screening of aquatic organisms provides assessors with risk scores for a species under current and future climate change conditions that, following a statistically based calibration, permits the accurate classification of species into high-, medium- and low-risk categories under current and predicted climate conditions. The 1730 screenings undertaken encompassed wide geographical areas (regions, political entities, parts thereof, water bodies, river basins, lake drainage basins, and marine regions), which permitted thresholds to be identified for almost all aquatic organismal groups screened as well as for tropical, temperate and continental climate classes, and for tropical and temperate marine ecoregions. In total, 33 species were identified as posing a ‘very high risk’ of being or becoming invasive, and the scores of several of these species under current climate increased under future climate conditions, primarily due to their wide thermal tolerances. The risk thresholds determined for taxonomic groups and climate zones provide a basis against which area-specific or climate-based calibrated thresholds may be interpreted. Electronic decision-support tools are becoming an essential component of government strategies to tackle non-native species invasions. This study describes the development and application of a multilingual electronic decision-support tool for screening terrestrial animals under current and future climate conditions: the Terrestrial Animal Species Invasiveness Screening Kit (TAS-ISK). As an adaptation of the widely employed Aquatic Species Invasiveness Screening Kit (AS-ISK), the TAS-ISK question template inherits from the original Weed Risk Assessment (WRA) and related WRA-type toolkits and complies with the ‘minimum requirements’ for use with the recent European Regulation on invasive alien species of concern. The TAS-ISK consists of 49 basic questions on the species’ biogeographical/historical traits and its biological/ecological interactions, and of 6 additional questions to predict how climate change is likely to influence the risks of introduction, establishment, dispersal and impact of the screened species. Following a description of the main features of this decision-support tool as a turnkey software application and of its graphical user interface with support for 32 languages, sample screenings are provided in different risk assessment areas for one representative species of each of the main taxonomic groups of terrestrial animals supported by the toolkit: mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, annelids, insects, molluscs, nematodes, and platyhelminths. The highest-scoring species were the red earthworm Lumbricus rubellus for the Aegean region of Turkey and the New Zealand flatworm Arthurdendyus triangulatus for Croatia.
