This article, of a theoretical and essayistic nature, aims to investigate the scientific production of the last 21 years in the Annals of the National Meetings of the National Association for Postgraduate Studies and Research in Education (ANPEd), specifically Working Group 06 -- Popular Education. To do this, we searched for generating words in these publications and tried to understand how this educational praxis has been building its worldview through the research and practices that support it. The methodology was based on a qualitative, descriptive, and analytical study using the State of the Art. We used the Voyant tools application to collect the data. The theoretical corpus consists of 48 Expanded Abstracts and 223 full papers, with the participation of 245 authors and 93 authors. The data was analyzed by taking the ten most frequently generated words in these publications and linking them to specific references. The results indicate that the Popular Education that emerges from the WG06 research is biophilic and mostly Freirian, feminine, and feminist. What's more, PE went to school! The research and action processes establish paths with peripheral social groups with whom practices in school/non-school education, health and culture are investigated, mediated by the world.
