The comparative effect of using some vegetal raw flours (Glycine hispida, Phaseolus vulgaris and Vicia faba), treated by autoclaving, introduced in the feeding white rats, was followed by the presented experiments. Feeding growing rats with diets containing raw grain legumes, as the main source of protein, reduce the rate of growth. This effect attenuates with the aging of rats. Inhibition of growth is the most evident in the consumption of raw beans (by 33% over the control group). Autoclaving reduces the level of anti-nutritive factors (with 0.2% - 36.73%) and decreases the growth inhibition (with 10.7% - 27.51%).

Broiler chickens (one-day age) and special commercial feed for this category were used. Commercial diet of three feed producers (one from Romania –group III and two from Hungary – group II and IV) and a home-made diet formula (containing usual sorts of raw materials and supplements for this category -group I) were tested in four homogenous broiler groups. In spite of appropriate initial weight (41 g) after 42 days of different feeding, group III registered the higher body weight (3,01 kg) comparing with control group (2,11 kg.). Groups II and IV had medium values Even the feed conversion shows significant differences the price for all period / kg body weight was less fluctuates.

One of the main problems standing before mankind on the threshold of the XXI century is satisfaction of demand in protein. About 70% of world protein stocks have vegetative origin and therefore preparations of this protein it is very important. Importance of soya is connected with following reasons: high content of protein with functionality for food products, good essential amino-acid balance, lipids and other biologically active compounds & micronutrients. Nutritional value of soy bean meal (FFSBM) products is limited of ten by high content of antinutritive factors causing different physiologically undesirable effects after usage in food or feed of crude beans. It explains the necessity of development of special technologies of productions of full fat soya products. The objective of this works was to asses the effect of various supplementation in terms of nutritional efficiency, especially about the Ca and P level from feed and bones of broiler chickens.

Probiotics and prebiotics (oligosaccharides and acidifying agents) appeared in the place of the old antibiotics. Mannan -oligosaccharides from Saccharomyces cerevisiae (beer-yeast) are used with success in the nutrition of pigs, chickens and rabbits. The beer-yeast is used also in the bee family’s foraging with a major success. The bee-bred which is the protein source for the honey bees contains also many species of yeast. Our experiment of adding mannan -oligosaccharides in the energetic and protein feed and of using the artificial bee-bread in the place of pollen shows that those methods didn’t lead an increased performance of the frozen pollen, honey energetic and protein feed.

The aim of this study is to analyze the evolution with age of the prostatic dimensions in German shepherd dogs. For the veterinarians, these results could help to recognize more easily a pathological state of the German shepherd dog’s prostate, only by an ultrasound examination. After examining 22 German shepherd dogs, for dogs of 2 to 5 years old, we obtained a mean prostatic volume of 16.239 cmc, for dogs between 6 and 10 years old the mean prostatic volume was 37.712 cmc and for dogs older than 10 years, the mean prostatic volume was 40.327 cmc. In conclusion, regarding the results, it can be affirmed that in German shepherd dogs, prostate dimensions are increasing with age.

Samples of by-products, obtained from the production of biofuels were collected. These products were introduced in different proportions in feed rations of fattening lambs. Gross chemical composition of feed was analyzed and compared with mean reference values. Ash and cellulose content does not influence the results. The percentage of raw protein, specific for each feed, is correlated with the body weight gain. Fat quantity of rape meal is the closest to that of granulated feed and also the highest compared with the other groups, so that it can justify the higher productive performance achieved by group 1, who received rape meal in ratio. The concentration of fatty acids was determined from analyzed feed after oils extraction, their saponification and their reading with a HPLC. The data showed that the fatty acid level is relatively close to that specified in the literature. Euricic acid, that is responsible for the toxic potential of the rape, has been found in rape meal.

Experiments were performed on 100 lambs, of common race, divided into 4 homogeneous groups of 25 lambs each, which were fed, differentiated for 3 weeks. Lots 1.2 and 3 received a supplement consisting of by-products obtained from the manufacture of biofuels in the area: Feed rations had similar nutritive values for all lambs in the experimental plots. The amount of crude protein in concentrates ratio was 17.40% for group 1, 18.44% for group 2, 17.60% for group 3, and 17.00% for group 4. Bulky feed were given ad libitum for all groups. After the first week of the experiment there was a spectacular evolution of body weight gain. All experimental lots were situated beyond the control group. Body mass growth rate is 3.5 times higher in the group fed with supplement of sunflower meal, 4.16 times higher in that fed with soybean meal supplements and 5.2 times higher in the group fed with additional rape meal. After the second week, the differences are decreasing, as the absolute value of body weight gain.

The purpose of this review is to assess the body's protein reserve in honey bee colonies and the possibilities for improving it. Understanding the causes of changes in body proteinis is important for the beekeeping sector in order to improve bioproductive indices and ensure the health of bees.The body's protein reserves of bees are located in the fat body, hypopharyngeal glands and plasma proteins (vitellogenin). Its active role has been proven in the following aspects: the secretion of larval food (royal jelly), longevity, metamorphosis, the evolution and behavior of adults, immunity and detoxification of bees. Body protein values ranges from 21 to 67% of the dry matter. The values considered physiologically normal are over 40%. The factors that reduce the protein content are: the quantity and quality of protein feed, overuse (enzymatic, immune, toxic or various diseases). Body protein deficiency causes bees to fly at a younger age; they also quickly become bee-collectors and their longevity is shortened. Research has established the ideal protein for bees, which is close in value to the proportion of aminoacids in royal jelly. Pollen as a source of protein for bees was classified as follows: poor quality below 20% CP (crude protein), average quality between 20-25% CP and high quality with over 25% CP. The quality of pollen protein is given by the presence of essential aminoacids. No deficiencies of essential aminoacids are reported in pollen produced by species of the family Rosaceae, Phacelia spp., Echium spp., nor in most species of the families Brasicaceae and Fabaceae. It is noted that the plants produce pollen with a low content of protein and essential aminoacids in summer and autumn. In conclusion, it is necessary to supplement the bee families with protein feed in order to ensure the body protein reserve according to the requirements.
