Bu araştırma ile psikolojik danışmanların mesleki gelişimlerine katkı sağlayabilecek ve bu kavramla bağlantılı olabilecek yetenek, ilgi, başarı, iş doyumu gibi konulardaki özelliklerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Çeşitli illerde farklı kurumlarda çalışan 21 psikolojik danışman ile yapılan toplam 24 yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme sonunda nitel verilerin toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde gömülü kuram yaklaşımında kullanılan açık kodlama, eksen kodlama ve seçici kodlama aşamaları benimsenmiştr. Ham verilerin kodlama işleminden toplam 638 kod elde edilmiş, kavramsal etiketleme sonucunda belirlenen 113 kavramın incelenmesi sonucunda da bu kavramlara ilişkin temalar belirlenmiştir. Bulgular psikolojik danışmanların sosyal ve araştırmacılıkla ilgili özellik ve yetenekleri dışında girişimci kişilik tiplerine özgü becerilere de sahip olması gerektiğini, ayrıca hızlı toplumsal değişimlere ayak uydurma, psikolojik danışmada teknoloji ve internetin kullanımı, göç ve terörün beraberinde değişen ve ihtiyaç beliren bireylerle çalışma becerisi gibi konuların önemini ortaya koymuştur. Yine psikolojik danışmanların geleneksel bakış açısının ötesinde ilgi alanlarına sahip olmaları ve beceriler edinmelerinin önemi vurgulanmıştır. Ayrıca diğer tüm temalarla da ilişkili bir biçimde özellikle iş doyumunun üzerinde önemle durulmuştur.

The lack of counselor education standards set by professional organizations increases the necessity for accreditation studies. Therefore, this descriptive study aimed to investigate the opinions of counselor educators working in Turkish public and private universities’ counselor education programs on critical standards/criteria of the accreditation process. A total of 201 counselor educators aged between 24 to 88 years participated in the study. Data were collected through a demographic form as well as a survey that was developed by the researchers. Data were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed that the majority of the participants supported the idea of establishing an independent counseling-specific accreditation organization that accredits counseling programs in Turkey. Implications of the findings, as well as limitations and recommendations, are shared for future research in the study.

The aim of this study was to search for the links between adolescent career anxiety, career decision-making self-efficacy, and adjective-based personality traits, as well as to see how predictive adjective-based personality qualities are for career anxiety and decision-making self-efficacy. A total of 710 students, 511 girls (72%) and 199 boys (28%) from various high schools in Istanbul, Turkey, made up the research group. Predictive correlational model was used in the analysis of the data while Career Anxiety Scale, Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale and Adjective-Based Personality Scale were used as data collection tools. After providing the normality assumptions and checking extreme values, data analysis was carried out. Standard multiple regression analysis was performed to examine the predictive potential of personality traits based on adjectives on career anxiety and career decision-making self-efficacy, while Pearson Correlation analysis was utilized to determine the relationship between the variables. As a result of the study, several significant correlations between adolescent career anxiety, career decision-making self-efficacy, and adjective-based personality traits were discovered. It was also discovered that adjective-based personality traits predicted career anxiety and competence expectation in career decision-making.

In this paper, I examine the concept of fantasy which has a crucial role in the theory of Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) and later is investigated thoroughly by Jacques Lacan (1901-1981). The naissance of fantasy is related to dreams, daydreams, seduction theory, and false memory in Freudian theory whereas the concept of fantasy is more related to anxiety, fear, desire, and phobia by Lacan. Fantasy is also related to the Lacanian concepts of the Other, objet petit a, jouissance. The use of fantasy in different meanings suggests its important functions in human life. The purpose here is to introduce a systematic examination of the crucial role of fantasy in mental processing.m Here, I keep track of a long and winding path from Freud to Lacan by following a chronological order of the extensive relation of fantasy with anxiety, fear, phobia, desire, object, lack, and the Other. The mental states of which causes were suggested the absence of the object by Freud is reversed by Lacan provides a new understanding of the relationship between anxiety and fantasy. Fantasy prevents us from the unendurable heaviness of anxiety with a mechanism that constitutes desire, leading the “fantasmatic anxiety”. The reciprocal relationship between fantasy and anxiety is resolved by the mechanism of phobia., Bu yazıda Sigmund Freud’un kuramında kilit bir öneme sahip olan ve daha sonraları Jacques Lacan tarafından derinlemesine incelenen fantazi kavramı irdelenmektedir. Freud’da fantezi kavramının ortaya çıkışı rüyalar, gündüz düşleri, baştan çıkarma kuramı, sahte anı gibi olgularla ilişkiliyken, Lacan’da fantazi kavramı daha çok kaygı, korku, arzu ve fobi ile ilişkilendirilmiştir. Bu kavramların yanı sıra fantazi, Lacan’ın Öteki kavramı ile de doğrudan ilişkilidir. Fantazi kavramının farklı anlamlarda kullanılması fantazinin insan yaşamında çok önemli işlevleri yerine getirdiğini göstermektedir. Bu yazı, fantazinin zihinsel işlevlerde oynadığı kritik rol üzerine sistematik bir inceleme sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Fantazinin kaygı, fobi, arzu, nesne, eksiklik ve Öteki ile olan derin ve karmaşık ilişkisi kronolojik olarak irdelenirken, Freud’dan Lacan’a uzanan uzun ve dolambaçlı yolun insan zihnindeki yolculuğuna da odaklanılmıştır. Özellikle, Freud’un savunduğu şekliyle, nesnenin yokluğu ile gelişen zihinsel durumlar, Lacan’da tersine çevrilerek, kaygıdan fantaziye uzanan yolu farklı perspektiften algılamamızı sağlamıştır. Fantazi, arzu yaratan bir mekanizma ile bizi kaygının dayanılmaz ağırlığından korur ve adına fantazmatik kaygı denilen duruma yol açar. Fantazinin kaygı ile olan bu iki yönlü karmaşık ilişkisi fobi mekanizması ile çözümlenmektedir.

Bu araştırma, özel eğitim sınıflarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin psikolojik iyi oluş ve tükenmişlik düzeylerini çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemeyi ve mental iyi oluş ile tükenmişlik alt boyutları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemeyi amaçlamıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu çeşitli kademelerdeki okullarda bulunan özel eğitim sınıflarında görev yapan 188 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. İlişkisel tarama modeli kullanılan bu araştırmada, veri toplama araçları olarak Warwick Edinburg Mental İyi Oluş Ölçeği, Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda Mann-Whitney U testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi, gruplararası farklılığı belirlemek için ise F istatistiği kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların psikolojik iyi oluş düzeylerinin tükenmişlik düzeylerini yordamadaki gücünün belirlenmesinde basit regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; kadrolu öğretmenlerin ücretli öğretmenlere, lise grubuyla çalışan öğretmenlerin diğer öğretmenlere göre duyarsızlaşmaya bağlı tükenmişliklerinin daha yüksek olduğu; tükenmişlik alt boyutlarından duyarsızlaşma ve duygusal tükenme ile psikolojik iyi oluş arasında negatif yönlü, kişisel başarı ile psikolojik iyi oluş arasında ise pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur.

Bu araştırma, ergenlerin sosyal medya beğenilmeme korkularını çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemeyi ve benlik tasarımı ve benlik saygısı ile sosyal medya beğenilmeme korkuları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemeyi amaçlamıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İstanbul ili Sultanbeyli ilçesinde bulunan çeşitli liselerde eğitim gören 235’i (%37) erkek ve 396’sı (%63) kız olmak üzere toplam 631 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. İlişkisel tarama modeli kullanılan bu araştırmada, veri toplama araçları olarak Sosyal Medya Beğenilmeme Korkusu Ölçeği, Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği, Benlik Tasarımı Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Veri analizi öncesinde veri setinin çarpıklık ve basıklık değerleri incelenmiş ve uç değerler temizlenip normallik sayıltısı sağlandıktan sonra analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda t-testi ve Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi kullanılmış, ayrıca gruplararası farklılığı belirlemek için ise F istatistiği kullanılmıştır. Ergenlerin benlik saygısı ve benlik tasarımlarının sosyal medya beğenilmeme korku düzeylerini yordamadaki gücünün belirlenmesinde ise Standart Çoklu Regresyon Analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; ergenlerin sosyal medya beğenilmeme korkularının cinsiyete, beğenilme sayısına ve arkadaş sayısına göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşmadığı; benlik saygısının cinsiyete göre farklılaşmadığı bunun yanında benlik tasarımının cinsiyete göre farklılaştığı ve kız öğrencilerin benlik tasarımlarının erkeklere göre daha yüksek olduğu; benlik tasarımının sosyal medyadaki arkadaş sayısına göre farklılaştığı; benlik tasarımı ve benlik saygısının sosyal medya beğenilmeme korkusu ölçeğinin alt boyutları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu ve bu iki değişkenin sosyal medya beğenilmeme korkusunu da anlamlı bir şekilde yordadığı saptanmıştır.

In this research it is aimed to present a visual comparison of career orientations of college students using ISCED (International Standard Classification of Education) classification system. Research sample consisted of seven experts and 529 college students from 10 different majors of ISCED broad domains. Data was collected with a survey developed by researcher and Personal Globe Inventory – Short Form (Tracey, 2010). Expert opinions were used to locate 26 ISCED narrow educational fields in the light of vocational interest and competence scores. Multi Dimensional Scaling was used with data obtained from Personal Globe Inventory – Short Form to determine college majors’ positions. Most of the college majors were mapped in theoretically congruent positions, yet some discrepancies were found, especially in Conventional and Realistic types. When competence belief placements on dimensions were inspected there found some significant differences in comparison with their interest locations. These differences between interests and competence beliefs highlight the importance of a holistic evaluation when choosing a college major instead of stressing just one important factor. It might be interpreted that interests and abilities are still not the major determinants when deciding a college major and current environmental models scarcely match with the theoretical explanations.

OBJECTIVES We examined whether immediate tracheal extubation among pediatric liver transplant recipients was safe and feasible. MATERIALS AND METHODS We retrospectively analyzed medical records of pediatric liver transplant recipients at Baskent University Hospital from January 2012 to December 2017. We grouped children who were extubated in the operating room versus those extubated in the intensive care unit. RESULTS In our study group of 81 pediatric patients, median age was 4 years (range, 4 mo to 16 y) and 44 (54%) were male. Immediate tracheal extubation in the operating room was performed in 39 patients (48%). Children who remained intubated (n = 42) had more frequent massive hemorrhage (14% vs 0%; P = .015), received larger amounts of packed red blood cells (19.3 vs 10.2 mL/kg; P < .001), and had higher serum lactate levels (9.0 vs 6.9 mmol/L; P = .001) intraoperatively. All children with open abdomens postoperatively remained intubated (n = 7). Patients extubated in the operating room received less vasopressors (1 [3%] vs 12 [29%]; P = .002) and antibiotics (11 [28%] vs 22 [52%]; P = 0.041) and developed infections less frequently postoperatively (3.0 [8%] vs 15.0 [36%]; P = .003). Children extubated in the operating room had shorter mean stay in the intensive care unit (2.0 vs 4.5 days; P < .001). Hospital mortality was higher in children who remained intubated (12% vs 0%; P = .026). CONCLUSIONS Immediate tracheal extubation was well tolerated in almost half of our patients and did not compromise their outcomes. Patients who remained intubated had longer intensive care unit stays and higher hospital mortalities. Therefore, we recommend immediate tracheal extubation in the operating room after pediatric liver transplant among those children without intraoperative requirements for massive blood transfusion, high-dose vasopressors, high serum lactate levels, and open abdomen.

Even though it is taught and used in many countries all over the world there is a lack of emprical research and psychometric assesment on Eneagram classification system of personality. This study aimed to contribute the this literature and present some evidence as well as developing a valid and reliable inventory. Research sample consisted of 21140 young and adults and data were randomly divided into two groups with an aim of conducting principal component analysis and confirmatory factor analysis for each data set. As a result the inventory formed with 72 items and it can be said that it has high item-factor loadings, and each dimension measures the characteristics intended to measure while explaining the variance at an acceptable level. Many of the findings indicated a good fit. Sufficient internal consistency values were obtained in all dimensions. All these findings indicate that the inventory has sufficient reliability and validity values.

The ANOVA-F test is the most known procedure for comparing at least three population means. However, this conventional test might give misleading results when it’s underlying assumptions are violated. In this study, Welch’s test with trimmed mean, Welch’s test with trimmed mean and a bootstrap-t, newly proposed Btk2 test and ANOVA-F test were compared in terms of actual Type I error rates under not only non-normality and heteroscedasticity, but also with non-identical distribution shapes. The newly proposed method outperformed ANOVA-F and other alternatives under various situations., ANOVA-F testi, en az üç kitle ortalamasının karşılaştırılması için en çok bilinen yöntemdir. Ancak, bu geleneksel yöntem varsayımları ihlal edildiğinde yanıltıcı sonuçlar verebilir. Bu çalışmada budanmış ortalama ile Welch testi, budanmış ortalama ve bootstrap-t ile Welch testi, yeni önerilen Btk2 testi ve ANOVA-F testi gerçekleşen 1. Tip hata oranlarına göre, sadece normalliğin ve homojen varyanslılığın sağlanmadığı durumlarda değil, aynı zamanda aynı olmayan dağılım şekilleri altında da karşılaştırılmıştır. Yeni önerilen yöntem, ANOVA-F ve diğer alternatiflere göre farklı durumlar altında daha iyi sonuçlar vermiştir.

Dünya genelinde her geçen gün artan şehirleşme ve endüstrileşmeye paralel olarak insanlığın enerji ihtiyacı dönüşerek artmıştır. Eskiden güneşte su ısıtma, değirmende yiyecekleri işleme tabi tutma, günümüzde biyoyakıt denen ağaç artıklarıyla ısınma ve yemek ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilen insanoğlunun sanayileşmenin yanında temel ihtiyaçları karşılamadaki enerji gereksinimi de boyut değiştirmiştir. Bu durum da tabiatın doğal akışından istifade edilerek kazanılan enerji kaynaklarının yetersiz kalmasına neden olmuş ve insanoğlu yenilenemeyen fosil kaynaklara yönelmiştir. İnsanoğlunun bu sonsuz ve giderek artan enerji ihtiyacına sürdürebilir olmayan ve geçici çözümler bulması; perde arkasında küresel ısınma ve muazzam çevre kirlilikleri gibi doğal felaketlerin yanı sıra toplumlararası çatışma ve savaşlara sebebiyet vermiştir. Tüm bu felaketlerin ötesinde; giderek gelişen teknoloji ve bilimsel çalışmalarla bu sonlu kaynakların rezervlerinin ortaya konması ve bu kaynakların kısa süre sonra biteceği gerçeği insanoğlunu yeni arayışlara itmiştir. Günümüzde ise fosil enerji kaynaklarının neden olduğu olumsuzluklara ek olarak her geçen gün artan enerji talebinin, daha sağlıklı, daha güvenilir ve daha kesintisiz sağlanması açısından yenilenebilir enerji gündeme gelmiştir. Yenilenebilir enerjinin tükenmez olması, kendini devamlı yenileyebilmesi, doğayla uyumlu çevre dostu olması ve en önemlisi gelişen teknolojiyle birlikte en çok endişe edilen yüksek ilk maliyet sorununun çözüme kavuşturulabilir olması bu kaynaklara olan talebi ve yatırımları arttırmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de yenilenebilir enerji kullanımının yaygınlaştırılması için uygulanan teşvik ve destekleme mekanizmalarını ve bu destekleme mekanizmalarının enerji üretim miktarlarına ve ülke ekonomisine olan etkilerini test etmektir. In parallel with the urbanization and industrialization on increase worldwide, the energy need of man has also increased while it is getting transformed. Old practices like heating up water under the sun, processing food in the mill, heating through tree remnants which are called biofuels nowadays and supplying for nutrition have also changed dimension as the energy need for the fulfillment of basic needs transformed through industrialization. This situation resulted in the insufficiency of the energy resources gained through the exploitation of the ordinary course of nature and people turned towards the non-renewable fossil resources. The fact that people have found unsustainable and temporary solutions to this growing energy need caused not only natural disasters like global warming and immense pollutions to the environment in the background, but also disagreements and wars among societies. Beyond all these catastrophes, the fact that developing technology and scientific researches revealed the reserves for these limited resources and that these recourses will come to an end in the near future encouraged people to look for new ways. Today the renewable forms of energy are on the agenda in order to dispel the energy need in a more healthy, safe and sustainable way and also make up for the negative effects of the fossil energy resources. The fact that renewable energy is limitless, capable of refreshing itself, eco-friendly and most importantly the fact that it solves the problem of expenditure has increased the demand and investments in these resources. The aim of this research is to test the incentive and support mechanisms applied in order to spread the use of renewable energy in Turkey and their impacts on the quantity of generated energy and country’s economy.

Purpose- In this study, an international welfare comparison is made for OECD members together with selected thirty eight countries using purchasing power parity (PPP) based on GDP per capita and better life index (BLI) parameters which is prepared by OECD as an alternative to welfare measurement. The purpose of this study is to research relations between national income and human welfare that is generated according to BLI criteria’s. Methodology- For this study, 2016 year data is used. The reasons are: Latvia and South Africa countries are added in 2016 and 2016 year is the latest edition for BLI which is renewed itself year by year. In addition when BLI is compared with GDP, reasons of being preferred PPP numbers are: One of the variables of BLI which is income criteria and its indicators incomes and fortunes of households are calculated by PPP based; PPP gives opportunity to comparison of real good and services eliminating the differences of price level among countries; in calculation of PPP, economic factors such as currency fluctuations, interest rates and capital flows are not taken into account; rather than just National income, PPP based GDP per capita is more personal like BLI. Findings- The result obtained from this study is that; when it examined carefully, countries with high national income per capita cannot score high in terms of BLI values. At first glance, it can be asserted that there is a strong positive relation between GDP per capita and BLI parameters by saying that countries like Norway, Switzerland and Sweden are at the top both in national income per capita and BLI based rankings; or countries like South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey are at the bottom both in national income per capita and BLI based rankings. However, if there was a strong positive relation between GDP per capita and BLI; Luxembourg, which is by far the best in national income per capita ranking, wouldn’t be placed rank number twelve in average BLI values ranking. Similarly, New Zealand, which is placed rank number twenty in national income per capita ranking among thirty eight countries, wouldn’t be placed rank number seven in average BLI values ranking. These tangible examples are not limited to a few countries. For example, Ireland, which ranks fourth in GDP per capita rankings, ranks sixteenth in average BLI values rankings; Denmark, which ranks twelfth in the national income per capita, ranks third in terms of average BLI values rankings. Conclusion- A country’s high level of national income does not necessarily mean that it is at a level of contemporary civilization. If it is asked to evaluate a country in terms of welfare perspective; not just only monetary value of produced goods and services in that country shouldn’t be taken into account but also factors such as education, justice, employment, security, environment and social connections should be taken into account from a wider perspective.
