The New York office real estate market is recovering in Nov 1994, as landlords rent vacant space at more reasonable rates. British Airway's new 6.5 million pounds sterling Centre for Combined Operations at Heathrow Airport, London, will allow the airline to centralise all its operations staff previously housed in different buildings around the site. The three-storey, 22,300 sq mt building has been designed with few angles so as to minimise its radar signature in the air traffic control room. American Hospital Association (AHA) officials are offering excuses for the failed sale of their former two-building Chicago, IL headquarters. The AHA has already purchased and moved to a smaller Chicago headquarters but still must pay an estimated $3 million annually for the currently unoccupied building.
