Security presents significant challenges due to the exponential growth in the number of Internet of Things (IoT) devices that generate and collect data over the network. It is crucial to ensure the integrity and security of IoT devices, as well as to address issues such as interoperability and trust in data sources. In the proposed article, we present a novel architecture together with its implementation as a proof-of-concept of a traceability and auditing IoT system based on Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). To demonstrate the applicability of the proposed solution, a smart contract-based system for occupational risk prevention (ORP) has been developed to monitor oxygen concentration in confined spaces that exist in ships and shipyards. The system has been devised for the operators that weld inside the ships of the Spanish shipbuilding company Navantia, which is one of the largest shipbuilders in the world. Specifically, the IOTA network has been used, which benefits the system through its decentralized, secure, and scalable data structure. In addition, the integration of smart contracts allows for establishing predefined rules and conditions, ensuring the execution of logic in a reliable and automated manner. To demonstrate the viability of the system, it has been tested locally and in the IOTA testing environment. Despite the challenges in deploying smart contracts with IOTA, the developed system is considered useful for the traceability and auditing of the oxygen concentrations without the need for any human intervention. Furthermore, it establishes the groundwork for future advancements in IoT traceability and auditing in industrial ORP scenarios. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Leaders that focus on preventing risks and promoting safe and healthy behaviors are essential to reducing workplace accidents and illnesses, particularly in a changing environment where technology and the complex interconnection of systems create emerging risks with unpredictable consequences for employee wellbeing and organizational productivity. In that sense, this multiple focus group study with 32 experts in occupational safety and health (OSH) aims at providing valuable insight into the most effective strategies for promoting health and productivity in a changing context. Results indicate that a safety and prevention culture is crucial for successful risk prevention and management, with commitment required from both top management and workers. Moreover, transformational leadership is identified as a key to achieving a safety and prevention culture. In addition, training is considered a pivotal mechanism to introduce appropriate safety practices into daily work routines. This requires an interdisciplinary, integrated, and collaborative perspective. Finally, integrating risk prevention into higher education prepares professionals to face current labor market challenges. These results can guide decision making for both training OSH professionals and introducing effective OSH practices in organizations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

(1) Background: A set of relevant police ergonomic parameters (PEP) have been used for the assessment and prevention of occupational risks involved in police physical interventions (PITs). Through this set of PEPs, a comparison has been made between two traditional PITs against two novel OTPs (operational tactical procedures). (2) Method: The data have been collected by means of a motion capture suit fitted with 19 inertial measurement units (IMUs). A specific and powerful software package specific for ergonomic analysis has been used to manage the large amount of data registered and to generate a series of three-dimensional plots. Traditional PITs and newer OTPs have been performed for their analysis. Specifically, the PEPs corresponding to the implementation of four PITs have been analyzed by collecting the measurements provided by a set of IMUs installed on a motion capture suit, and their occupational risk assessments have been compared against those corresponding to newer OTPs. (3) Results: For the four PITs, the PEPs have been analyzed with the measured values from the IMUs, throughout the duration of each technique. The two traditional intervention techniques have scored higher than the new OTPs in the REBA system, the asymmetry angle, L5-pelvis shear and joint contact forces, and the total muscle power measurements. (4) Conclusions: It has been confirmed that the new OTPs minimize the risk of injuries, since their PEPs reached lower values than those corresponding to the traditional PITs, which are still being taught at police academies. - Abstract
This research aims to reflect on Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP) in Mexico City companies after the Covid-19 pandemic, which is why a case study was carried out to show the relevance of undertaking health measures related to ORP after the pandemic, for this purpose a qualitative approach was used, carrying out a survey of 265 workers to describe their perception of the ORP measures that have been implemented in their employment places. From a survey, five relevant questions were selected and subjected to a statistical study through contingency tables where significance tests of non-symmetrical chi-square distribution were applied to see the independence between the size of the companies and the perception of the ORP measures, concluding that is required a more specific research and with more observations for each perception. Thus the importance of promoting ORP among those involved in business activities in productive organizations. In this process, students from the "Rosario Castellanos University" (URC) from the Herrerías and Casa de Cultura academic units, both in Milpa Alta´s town hall, collaborated; who are studying the first, third and fifth semester of the degree in Accounting and Finance (LCFI).

- Abstract
Power can bring to those who hold it a sure disease that occurs especially in people who are already narcissistic, we are facing the Hubris Syndrome. It is true, in many cases, that assertion that we have often had the opportunity to hear: power poisons and corrupts people. Well yes, it enters the body as if it were asbestos and produces cancer, but moral cancer. The Hubris syndrome comes to produce a pathology in the personality, a pathology in the psyche of a person, who will be executioner and victim at the same time, this affectation will be more serious in direct order to the pride that the character in question can show and to his degree of narcissism. This is the reason why presidential positions in any area (political, business, collegial, etc.) are limited to four or five years, trying to prevent re-election from reaching a person who holds the position for eight years in a row.

- Abstract
When collective bargaining crosses the borders of a country, and even a continent, through the Global Framework Agreements signed by multinational companies with Global Union Federations, some of the working conditions initially limited in their application to the temporal and personal scope of the employer’s headquarters reach an unexpected expansive force. This has been the case up to now with occupational safety and health, as the traditional content of such unique conventions, mainly with the purpose of collecting the fundamental content conventions, recommendations or guides and technical documents of various kinds. The technological revolution underway has had the virtue of providing important renovations in the most veteran ones, breaking new ground in the most recent text, and even inspiring the subscription of some with monographic content dedicated to attending to the appearance of new risks and, also, to facing with greater solvency some of the existing ones thanks to progress.

Abstract Background The rapid progress in information and communication technologies has promoted the development of smartphone applications (apps) for a wide variety of purposes including workplace safety. However, no specific apps for occupational risk prevention in the police domain seemingly exist as yet. In this work, an app running under the iOS and Android operating systems was developed to help police officers become acquainted with policing-related occupational risks and to prevent their damaging consequences. Results The proposed app, which uses an iterative user-centered design to avoid occupational risks in policing activities, was assessed for performance by a group of users and experts through a System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire. The mean overall score for the questionnaire was 82.3. The app has backend support to facilitate continual improvement through contributions from users and administrators. A field test revealed increased awareness of policing occupational risks after using the app in many users. Conclusions A novel product that covers the needs of ORP requirements of police officers has been developed.

MIGRAINE , *INDUSTRIAL hygiene - Abstract
Introduction: Workplace health promotion integrates initiatives in health and safety in the occupational field, with personal improvements, increased productivity and lower risks and social cost, especially with respect to migraine headaches, a neurological disorder affecting approximately 11% of the population. The objective of this study was to know the preventive resources available to workers with migraine headaches and the preventive management options in their companies. Method: Cross-sectional observational study of 3,342 patients from Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany and other European Union countries, conducted through an anonymous survey on the web of the European Migraine & Headache Alliance (EMHA-web), from September 2018 to January 2019. Results: Occupational stress (77.65%) and use of computer monitors (63.87%) are the most common risks described by workers with migraine. About. 43.71% of workers are not familiar with the type of occupational health service present in their company, 49.06% do not have a medical service; 67.67% reported no work-related limitations due to migraine, neither dismissal nor non-renewal of their contract (88.29%), but 42.14% had experienced some conflict due to decreased productivity; 26.54% were unaware of the concept of vulnerable workers or had not requested this status because of their migraine (63.8%), nor had they demanded job accommodations (67.64%) or job change (80.89%); 55.42% did not feel understood or supported by their company in their limitations due to migraine, although they did feel they were supported by their colleagues (63.07%). Conclusion: We found that preventive resources and information were deficient, and that there was little use of adaptive management options for workers with migraine in their companies. - Abstract
In the world, every year almost three million people die from accidents or work-related illnesses, more than five hundred suffer from occupational diseases or injuries. In 2019, job stress caused 30% of sick leave in Spain, with a high cost and a reduction of productivity. The COVID-19 presents new challenges, almost four million unemployed, another four with an ERTE and an uncertain and slow recovery that causes instability. Also new risks related to work and stress, such as biological contamination, control measures, uncertainty and a high mental burden for workers. Different organizations defend the importance of occupational health and well-being in all aspects, physical, mental and social. Given this situation, it is essential to detect psychosocial risk factors that affect health in the workplace to create effective prevention plans adapted to changing situations. Some authors highlight the difficulty of this evaluation due to insufficient methodologies at the conceptual and technical level or lack of standardization. The objective of this research is to identify different tools, dimensions, reliability, validity, psychometric analysis and use, which serve as references for research in occupational risk prevention. A descriptive analysis of bibliographic review was carried out in searching engines and pages of specialized organizations. Some highly reliable measurement instruments are offered for the detection of psychosocial factors in various contexts. It is recommended to complement these tools with others that introduce other variables such as uncertainty, anxiety or mental state. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
BACKGROUND // The incidence of COVID-19 infections among health professionals during the sixth wave has suffered an exponential increase, mainly due to the rapid community transmission caused by the Omicron variant. The main objective of the study was to evaluate the time to negativization in COVID-positive health professionals during the sixth wave, according to the PDIA result; and secondarily, to evaluate the possible influence of other factors (previous infection, vaccination, sex, age, job position) on the time to get negative status. METHODS // A descriptive, longitudinal, observational and retrospective study was carried out at Infanta Sofía University Hospital (Madrid, Spain). Made from the registry of the Occupational Risk Prevention Service of suspected or confirmed cases of SARS-COV-2 infection in health professionals, during the period between November 1, 2021 and February 28, 2022. Bivariate comparisons were made using Mann Whitney, Kruskal Wallis or Chi-square test (or exact test) according to variables. Subsequently, logistic regression (explanatory model) was performed. RESULTS // The cumulative incidence of SARS-COV-2 infection in health professionals was 23.07%. The mean time to become negative was 9.94 days. Only the history of previous SARS-COV-2 infection had a statistically significant influence on the time to negativization of PDIA. The variables vaccination, sex and age had no effect on the time to negativization of PDIA. CONCLUSIONS // Professionals with a history of COVID-19 infection present lower times of negativization than those who had not have the disease. The results of our study confirm the immune escape of the vaccine against COVID-19, since more than 95% of those infected had received a complete vaccination schedule., FUNDAMENTOS // La incidencia de contagios por COVID-19 entre profesionales sanitarios durante la sexta ola ha sufrido un incremento exponencial, motivado principalmente por la rápida trasmisión comunitaria ocasionada por la variante Ómicron.

- Abstract

- Abstract

- Abstract
With the entry into force of Royal Decree Law 16/2022, of 6 September, for the improvement of working conditions and social security for domestic workers, the article that did not apply the LPRL to the group under analysis has been eliminated and some reforms have been introduced, pending regulatory development. In this paper we address the occupational risk prevention content of the regulation, and to what extent it is possible to fully apply the LPRL after the publication of this Royal Decree-Law, and which issues should, in our opinion, be re-regulated or be subject to clarifications in order to adapt to the group of domestic workers as a whole.

The accident, regardless of its classification, always arouses a special attraction and study from all angles (human, social, civil, labour, criminal...), aimed at compensating and restoring its negative consequences. The judgement in question raises the consideration of an accident as an accident at work, due to the circumstances of its occurrence and the application of the theory of “relevant occasionality”.

- Abstract
In this article will outline the main regulatory developments affecting domestic workers, which have had an impact on occupational risk prevention. From the year 2022 to the present date, a series of events have taken place that have laid the foundations that have influenced some important regulatory changes in relation to the prevention of occupational risks for the group of domestic workers. The first of these was the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union of February 24, 2022 on case C-389, which would serve to change some aspects and would end up fully affecting the Law on the Prevention of Occupational Risks (hereinafter, LPRL). As a result of all this, some reflections will be made on the current situation of domestic workers as regards the level of protection offered to them to date by the LPRL.

- Abstract
Currently, digital violence and cyberbullying in the workplace deserve special attention. Not only because of the important Convention number 190 of the International Labor Organization, but also because they constitute examples of emerging psychosocial risks of undoubted importance. Regarding them, an adequate adaptation or modernization of the classic models of safety and health at work is necessary. To achieve this, negotiation between the social partners, with the collective agreement as the main instrument, must play a prominent role., En la actualidad, la violencia digital y el ciberacoso en el ámbito laboral merecen una especial atención. We are in a society where students live surrounded by technological devices and constant stimuli. The introduction of innovative methodologies in education and the inclusion of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the classroom offer an opportunity to connect with these students, transforming classes into a space where the student actively participates in his learning process. This Master's Thesis is framed within this context, with the aim of developing an intervention proposal that favors the motivation and participation of Vocational Training students in the Vocational Training and Guidance module, which students observe as uninteresting due to the perception that it has no applicability or relationship with the other modules of their specialty. The proposal is designed to deal with contents on Occupational Risk Prevention in an Intermediate Degree of Technician of Microcomputer Systems and Networks and is structured around two main components. On the one hand, through the gamification methodology, game mechanics are introduced with the aim of making the learning process more enjoyable and motivating. On the other hand, the use of the ICT platform for content management Moodle allows the creation of multiple interactive activities that encourage participation, while offering continuous monitoring of the student's progress. The result obtained in the design is a sample of the range of possibilities offered by the integration between gamification and ICT tools to create teaching spaces adapted to the expectations of 21st century students.

Objective: To assess the reliability and degree of completion of items on working conditions in the Working Conditions, Employment Conditions and Health in Latin America and the Caribbean (CTESLAC by its Spanish acronym) survey questionnaire. Methods: In 2017, we conducted 500 household-based interviews in Peru using the Survey on Working Conditions, Safety and Health CTESLAC Questionnaire. We calculated: 1) percentage of respondents indicating "Do not know"/"No answer"; 2) percentage of unanswered items; 3) variance of these items; 4) percentages for each of the response categories; and we generated 5) an item-item correlation matrix for each dimension; and 6) an item-dimension correlation matrix. Results: We observed a high level of completion (<1% of missing items and "do not know"/"do not answer" responses) for items related to safety, hygiene and ergonomics. In regards to psychosocial items, three items had between 4% and 6% non-response, and between 2% and 5% for "do not know"/"do not answer"r responses. All items exhibited moderate to high correlations with other items in the corresponding dimension. However, some items related to the psychosocial work environment showed low correlations. Conclusion: Overall, the questionnaire showed a high proportion of completion, and good reliability for the safety, hygiene and ergonomics dimensions. However, the psychosocial dimension did not show good reliability, suggesting these items should be revised. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

[EN] This master's thesis focuses on the prevention of occupational risks in the production process of tiger nuts milk. The aim is to gain knowledge of the state of the production facilities associated with the subject under study. In addition, a series of corrective proposals will also be offered, focused on the negative aspects identified. To this end, a series of companies active in the sector will be studied. A risk assessment will be carried out in these companies, identifying deficiencies in the workplace, in the work equipment used and in the working positions. Subsequently, with all this information, the working positions will be related to the general production process. Then, each work position studied will be associated with a step in the tiger nut milk production process. Thus, the positions will be grouped by processes of the general scheme defined in the document, situating the current state of occupational risk prevention in context. Finally, an assessment of the current situation will be carried out and a series of measures will be proposed to correct the detected deficiencies together with a plan for an efficient management of prevention in the area of study.

- Abstract
In a context of technological, organisational and cultural changes in the world of work, online work -using digital devices and tools- is taking on great importance to the detriment of face-to-face work, as a consequence of the digitalisation of the economy and the pandemic caused by Covid-19. In response to the emergence of new forms of work organisation, Law 10/2021 of 9 July on remote work (former RD-Law 28/2020) has been passed. This article focuses on the analysis of the right to digital disconnection in the current legal system, as a tool for preventing occupational risks arising from teleworking or remote work at a time of maximum hyperconnectivity due to the use of digital technologies, and as a guarantee of occupational health and safety.

- Abstract
We will try to explain why this is the case? Why the harasser takes control of a cohort of collaborators in front of the victim; Why do people, co-workers, researchers, in an act of self-denial, start to act from the bully and stop acting from themselves, from what they would really do if they could, if they dared., Intentaremos explicar ¿por qué esto es así?, por qué el acosador se hace con una cohorte de colaboradores frente a la víctima; ¿por qué la gente, los compañeros de trabajo, los investigadores, en un acto de negación de sí mismos, empiezan a actuar desde el acosador y dejan de actuar desde sí mismos, desde lo que realmente harían si pudieran, si se atrevieran.

[EN] It seems reasonable to think that ethics and occupational risk prevention always go hand in hand. However, very little is known about the International Code of Ethics for Occupational Health Professionals, whose third edition was published in 2014 by the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH). Moreover, some circumstances in occupational risk prevention can lead to controversial issues and ethical dilemmas. Despite this, most occupational risk prevention master¿s studies do not include ethics in professional practice matters. This paper presents the teaching experiences in professional practice ethics workshops in the Master¿s Degree in Occupational Risks Prevention of the Universitat Politècnica de València. In these workshops, ethical issues are included in their curricula, and ethical dilemmas are discussed through academic debates. The results of the experience were positive and encouraging. The students learn to open their minds to a different point of view and understand the problems they will have to face in their professional careers.

OCCUPATIONAL training , *INDUSTRIAL safety , *READY-mixed concrete , *DELIVERY of goods , *WORK environment - Abstract
This article proposes to consider training in occupational risk prevention as situated at the crossroads between regulated safety (based on prescribed safety rules and procedures)- and managed safety (based on operators’ knowledge and experience). A case study in the field of ready-mixed concrete delivery to worksites is presented. It demonstrates the redefinitions of a safety rule within companies, giving it little operational value for operators, and the resources that they have built with experience. These resources are also shown to be limited. Indeed, not everything can be learned through in situ experience and peer mediation. Thus, the “professional knowledge of reference” needs to be identified in order to design training content that combines the “regulated safety” and “managed safety” that are necessary to produce safe working conditions. This approach to training design, based on the analysis of activity in situ, represents a shift away from the technical-regulatory and behavioral approach that still dominates the field of training in occupational risk prevention. [EN] We present a novel computer vision system which generates automated indicators of proper use of personal protective equipment(PPE) of great importance in the construction industry, specifically the use of safety helmet and high visibility vest. The system is built on a neural network architecture that works on digital images. First, the OpenPose network is used for the detection of anthropometric points of the visualized workers. These points are used next to automatically segment regions of interest (ROI) located about a worker’s head and trunk. On these ROIs, a neuronal classifier estimates the presence or absence of each PPE of interest. Obtained results in moving videos from drones or artphones show that our system is fully capable of carrying out a complete evaluation of usage indicators of these two PPEs without human intervention, with the main purpose of preventing potentially dangerous incidents in the workplace. (1) Background: a set of ergonomic parameters that are relevant for risk assessment methods for the prevention of occupational risks, such as REBA or NIOSH, have been measured by means of inertial sensors that allow capturing the movements of the human body. These methods base their assessment on a number of postural and dynamic parameters. In the case of police physical intervention techniques, trunk, legs, arms, forearms and wrists angles, joint contact force and sheer force at the L5-Pelvic junction, asymmetry (angle and factor), and muscle power are the more relevant parameters to be considered. (2) Method: The data have been collected by means of a motion capture suit equipped with 19 inertial sensors. The large amount of data and the 3-dimensional plots have been managed by a powerful software package specific for ergonomic analysis. The police physical intervention technique used was OTP. (3) Results: Five ergonomic parameters in a traditional police physical intervention technique have been analyzed. REBA scores and ergonomic metrics have been recorded and discussed with some prevention risk limits from the literature. (4) Conclusions: the usage of inertial sensors to capture the movements in OTPs provides a new and quite an efficient viewpoint for occupational risk research studies.
