The kindnesses of using different computer tools are usually shown: systems of data acquisition, calculation software and/or simulation software, in the processes of teaching and learning Physics. Making an approach to a methodological proposal that integrates these aspects is not easy. However, in this article we try to show some reflections and perspectives, achieved by the investigation group, in the elaboration and execution of the investigation project: Integrating the traditional experiment, the computerized experiment and the simulation as alternative for teaching and learning Physics. The new pedagogic and didactic outlines which are available nowadays, let us to approach theory and experimentation in learning and teaching Physics, have brought a series of unsuspected expectations in educational field. So, the present article shows some reflections and perspectives of work, achieved by the research group on Physics and Informatic, when developing the project: "Integration of the traditional experiment, the on-line experiment and the simulation like alternative for the teaching and learning of physics". Introduction: This study was designed to evaluate whether the Workshop on Basic Principles for Clinical Gynaecological Exploration, offered to medical students, improves theoretical-practical knowledge, safety, confidence, global satisfaction and the achievement of the proposed objectives in the area of gynaecological clinical examinations., Materials and Methods: This was a quasi-experimental pre-post-learning study carried out at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics department of Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid (Spain). The volunteer participants were 4th-year students earning a degree in Medicine during the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years. The study period was divided into the following stages: pre-workshop, intra-workshop and 2 weeks post-workshop. In the pre-workshop stage, students completed a brief online course to prepare for the workshop. The effectiveness of the workshop was evaluated through multiple-choice tests and self-administered questionnaires to assess self-assurance, self-confidence, self-satisfaction and the achievement of the objectives., Results: Of the 277 students invited in both academic years, 256 attended the workshop (92.4%), with a total participation in the different stages of the study greater than 70%. A total of 82.5% of the students in the 2020-2021 academic year and 80.6% of students in the 2021-2022 academic year did not have any type of experience performing gynaecological clinical examinations. Between the pre-workshop and 2 weeks post-workshop stages, there was significant improvement in theoretical-practical knowledge (improvement mean = 1.38 and 1.21 in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years, respectively). The security and confidence of the students prior to the workshop were low (average scores less than 5 points) in both academic years. However, post-workshop scores for satisfaction and the achievement of objectives were high in the two academic years; all the values approached or exceeded 8 points., Conclusions: Our students, after outstanding participation, evaluated the BPCGE, and improved their theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as their skills in a gynaecological clinical examination. Moreover, in their view, after the workshop, they felt very satisfied, far outreaching the proposed aims. In addition, excellent results were maintained over time, year after year.

Climate change is causing an increase in the frequency and intensity of marine heatwaves (MHWs) and mass mortality events (MMEs) of marine organisms are one of their main ecological impacts. Here, we show that during the 2015-2019 period, the Mediterranean Sea has experienced exceptional thermal conditions resulting in the onset of five consecutive years of widespread MMEs across the basin. These MMEs affected thousands of kilometers of coastline from the surface to 45 m, across a range of marine habitats and taxa (50 taxa across 8 phyla). Significant relationships were found between the incidence of MMEs and the heat exposure associated with MHWs observed both at the surface and across depths. Our findings reveal that the Mediterranean Sea is experiencing an acceleration of the ecological impacts of MHWs which poses an unprecedented threat to its ecosystems' health and functioning. Overall, we show that increasing the resolution of empirical observation is critical to enhancing our ability to more effectively understand and manage the consequences of climate change., (© 2022 The Authors. We analyzed the influence of presenilins on the genetic cascades that control neuronal differentiation in Xenopus embryos. Resembling sonic hedgehog (shh) overexpression, presenilin mRNA injection reduced the number of N-tubulin+ primary neurons and modulated Gli3 and Zic2 according to their roles in activating and repressing primary neurogenesis, respectively. Presenilin increased shh expression within its normal domain, mainly in the floor plate, whereas an antisense X-presenilin-alpha morpholino oligonucleotide reduced shh expression. Both shh and presenilin promoted cell proliferation and apoptosis, but the effects of shh were widely distributed, while those resulting from presenilin injection coincided with the range of shh signaling. We suggest that presenilin may modulate primary neurogenesis, proliferation, and apoptosis in the neural plate, through the enhancement of shh signaling.

Introduction: Vigabatrin (VGB) was specifically synthesized to enhance inhibitory GABAergic transmission by elevating GABA levels via irreversible inhibition of GABA transaminase., Material and Methods: This study was conducted to determine the efficacy of VGB introduced as monotherapy in 26 children fulfilled the criteria for diagnosis of West syndrome. Duration of follow-up was 24 months., Results: Following the introduction of VGB, 13 patients became seizure free, a special efficacy in one case of tuberous sclerosis. Relapses of infantile spasms occurred in 8 infants, generalized seizures developed in 4 infants, and partial seizures in 3, of whom 2 were eventually rendered seizure-free by increasing the dose. EEG features and age affecting the response rate. VGB has been well tolerated in children with agitation being the most commonly reported side effects, and one case required discontinuation of therapy., Conclusions: VGB seems to be an effective an safe antiepileptic drug as primary monotherapy for West syndrome.

Laparoscopy was performed on patients with dysmenorrhea, sterility and pelvic pain in order to evaluate the prevalence of endometriosis in our environment therefore considering the population of female beneficiary patients of reproductive age of the ISSSTE hospital in the city of Veracruz, Ver. in México. The percentages of endometriosis were similar to the reports published in the international journals with the exception of the dysmenorrhea where our results were higher. In all the cases the same variables were analyzed; age, active sexual life (V.S.A.), birth control method, menarche (men), menstrual cycle, childbirths and abortions, as well as other laparoscopic detections. Each of the endometriosis cases were classified according to the revised American Fertility Society classification of 1985 (R.A.F.S.) for endometriosis.

A classical abdominal Semm hysterectomy (CASH) morcellation laparoscopic hysterectomy was performed without bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy in 17 patients using 4 punctures with intracorporeal and extracorporeal suturing in 13 patients and in 4 patients with stapler of 35 mm. Removal of endocervical and endometrial canal through vaginal morcellation, the advantages of this procedure are its reduced blood loss, minimum possibility of ureter or bladder injury and decreased risk of infection through vaginal contamination, as well as a fast recovery period and minimum of pain.
