In operational of office buildings, generally, require energy consumption that can affect to environment related to the high CO2 emissions. The Indonesian government want to reduce energy consumption by 1% in 2025, thereby energy savings efforts are needed, such as providing building design using natural lighting. Here, in this research, the aim is to evaluate natural lighting in an existing office building at Sidoarjo city, Indonesia, whether meet the standard or not. The method that applied in this research are measurement and investigation of natural lighting in the field. Furthermore, the result of primary data will be compared with result of Ecotech software simulation. The results showed that from field measurements and Ecotech software simulations obtained the passive office building design still does not support natural lighting. It is around 63.20% of the office space do not fulfill Indonesia National Standard (SNI). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
