Background: Evidence-based practices (EBPs) are instrumental in improving patient outcomes and ensuring high-quality nursing care, yet their implementation often encounters substantial barriers. The Iowa Implementation for Sustainability Framework and the Precision Implementation Approach© offer systematic strategies for overcoming barriers and enhancing EBP implementation and sustainability in health care settings., Aim: This project aimed to use the Iowa Implementation for Sustainability Framework and the Precision Implementation Approach© to support the use of an evidence-based maternal depression intervention within Iowa's Title V Maternal Health Program that serves mothers of young children living in poverty., Methods: This practice-based implementation was accomplished in three steps: (1) hold intervention-focused staff meetings, (2) identify barriers to using the intervention, and (3) identify and deliver implementation strategies. Collected data included barriers identified, selected implementation strategies, and evaluation of meeting attendance and impact on confidence., Results: Four of the monthly virtual staff meetings focused on Listening Visits (LV) use. The 7 strategies comprising our approach to supporting LV use addressed three categories of identified barriers: lack of confidence, logistical issues, and not understanding intervention procedures. In the LV-focused meetings, representation of the 14 maternal health clinics was high, although attendance by individual staff was inconsistent. Post-meeting polls indicated that 40% to 65% of attendees felt more confident using intervention skills., Linking Evidence to Action: This practical nursing-implementation framework facilitated EBP adoption, and our well-structured targeted strategies effectively increased staff confidence. Nowadays, as technology takes on a more important role in our everyday lives, telehealth is emerging. Evidence proves that it can ease and improve access to quality care.(1) This commentary offers a synopsis of the narrative on the use of B.E.L.T. mnemonic to be used by a nurse champion to structure the implementation of telehealth services. This opinion and later research indicate that further testing is needed to adapt and validate the tool. The COVID-19 worldwide pandemic could not be a better opportunity to further test the tool through the implementation of telehealth in different settings across the world.

Though unpublished in peer-reviewed literature for more than 40 years, the Theory of Nursing for the Whole Person has been, and remains, a highly useful framework for nursing practice, education, and research. Used by the College of Nursing at Oral Roberts University, the theory was developed by the founding dean, I. Tomine Tjelta. Founded on a Christian worldview, the theory is built on the basic nursing paradigm concepts, yet functions as a distinctly scriptural framework. Background: Three central North Island District Health Boards developed a collaborative partnership to create an education framework to improve workplace learning by nurses. A Joint Nursing Speciality Education Project Group was formed to explore frameworks and models of care that would support and enhance nursing practice. Aims and objectives: The aim of this article is to reflect critically on the process of leading the project group during the development of a nursing framework that would encompass a holistic view of education and meet the needs of each participating health board. The article also examines the issues encountered, which included the difficulties of working with nurses from different organisations in different geographical locations. Conclusions and implications for practice: The process of developing the Person-Whānau (Family) Centred Nursing Framework was a team effort and working collaboratively across health boards has been extremely rewarding. We faced workload and geographical challenges in trying to get the whole group together but the chance to develop a framework that has the ability to improve patient outcomes has been exciting and the relationships we have forged along the way with members of the project group have been positive. The aim of the study was to investigate the nature of nurses’ clinical practice in terms of what frames their clinical engagement, and to examine how clinical constructions were made. The study is based on a descriptive design using a clinical field approach in acute care settings in Korea, the USA and Norway. A theoretical sample consisted of between four and six Registered Nurses in each country: up to three from medical wards and three from surgical wards. Data were collected through participant observation of and in-depth interviews with the nurses, as well as from nursing documentation about the patients. The result showed an overall model of a theory of nursing practice consisting of three processes: nursing gaze, clinical construction and clinical engagement. This first article outlines the overall descriptive theory of nursing practice and provides a detailed description of the first aspect: the nursing gaze. The model of the structuring of nursing gaze is set within the philosophy of nursing, consisting of the ontology of client and the ontology of practice. The dimensions of normality and needs constitute the ontology of client, and the dimension of clinical expectations constituted the ontology of practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
