Farmers' household in the village involve in many activities both farming and non-farming activities. This involvement affect the time allocation for farming, which in turn will have impacts to the household income. Therefore, there is a need to study the time allocation pattern of farmers, non-farming job opportunities and other factors that affect the working time allocation, income and farmers' household expenditures. The research question are: (1) how the work flow patterns in the allocation of household farmers in rice production area and why rice productivity is low? (2) whether job opportunities in non farm business influence the flow of work in farming and what factors affect the flow of work, household income and farmers expenditure?. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that affect the working time allocation, income, and expenditure of farmers in the rice production area. The research was conducted in Sigi, Central Sulawesi Province on December 2015 – Pebruary 2016, using cross sectional data in the household based economic approach applying a model of simultaneous equations. The results showed that non-farm activities have played important roles in the rural economy, especially domestic rice farmer household. They are not only contribute to household income but also in to working time allocation. In terms of the working time allocation, farmesr do more non-farm activities than paddy farming activities. Male household members'working time allocation is the highest activities compared to the female household members in the farm or non farm. Meanwhile, in terms of income, the contribution to farmers' income from non-farm is greater than from farm. Food consumption is the highest expenditure in the farmer household.

The creation of value-based performance measurement can be an alternative in measuring the company's financial performance. Results can be used as indicators of assessments by investors, and these indicators can influence the stock returns. Besides, macroeconomic variables also affect stock returns. This study aimed to analyze the financial performance of companies in the process of creation of value-added with EVA, MVA, and Tobin's Q approach. Impacts of these performance measurements and macroeconomic variables (exchange rates, interest rates, and inflation) on stock returns of the subsector animal feed industry were studied. Descriptive analysis was applied in analyzing the company's financial performance. The impacts of the company financial performance and macroeconomic variables were assessed by using panel data regression analysis. The results related to the company's performance showed that 1) EVA performance dominantly obtained a positive EVA value; 2) MVA performance predominantly produced a positive MVA value in 3 companies and a negative MVA value in the other company; 3) Tobin's Q performance predominantly generated a value of Q>1 in 2 companies and a value of Q<1 in the other 2 companies. The results of the panel data regression analysis concluded the independent variables influencing the stock return were the performance variables while the macroeconomic variables had no effects on stock return.

This paper aims to analyze the sustainability of rice availability system at national level, based on sustainability index and status using a Rap-Rice Ordination Technique with Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) Method. This study used primary and secondary data. Result of the MDS analysis Rap-Rice ordinary technique showed that a sustainability index of rice availability system at national level was 64.51, which categorized as sustainable sufficient. Analysis for five dimensions (ecology, economy, socio-culture, institution and technology) showed that a sustainability index of national rice availability system for institution and technology dimensions were relatively high, 91.70 and 77.10, respectively, which felt into good category; the index for ecological and socio-cultural dimensions were 69.64 and 53.74, respectively, categorized as satisfactorily sustainable; and the index for economic dimension was 43.48 which categorized as less sustainable. Results of leverage analysis indicated that 23 out of 60 attributes were sensitivity influential to sustainability of rice availability system. Four attributes from economic dimension as priority to be managed were (1) real wage of farm labor, (2) number of farm households with land holding greater than 0.5 hectares, (3) number of farm labors, and (4) value of Regional GDP.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang Memengaruhi BPBPI dalam mencapai visi dan misinya, menyusun alternatif strategi pengembangan di BPBPI, dan merumuskan prioritas strategi pengembangan di BPBPI. Metode analisis deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis lingkungan, efaluasi faktor internal, efaluasi faktor internal, matrik internal eksternal (IE), matrik SWOT dan kombinasi dari analisis proses Hierarki (AHP) dan SWOT. Menggunakan matrik IE, Perusahaan diindikasikan berada pada posisi kuadran V yaitu posisi jaga dan pertahankan dengan strategi umum penetrasi pasar dan pengembangan produk. berdasarkan hasi analisis SWOT, terdapat enam alternativ strategi yang dapat direkomendasikan kepada BPBPI yaitu (1) Strategi penetrasi pasar melalui pengembangan produk-produk baru dan peningkatan jaringan distribusi, (2) Mencari alternatif sumber bahan baku organik yang baru dan murah serta memiliki ketersediaan banyak, (3) Strategi peningkatan promosi produk BPBPI melalui roadshow ke konsumen secara berkala, (4) Strategi optimalisasi kebun percobaan melalui penanaman bibit unggul, (5) Melakukan riset-riset strategis yang menghasilkan produk-produk unik dan mempunyai nilai jual tinggi serta pasar yang luas, (6) Strategi Peningkatan kesejahteraan tenaga ahli agar terciptanya suasana kerja yang kondusif. Prioritas strategi dengan total nilai efisiensi tertinggi (18,15%) yang diperoleh dari AWOT yaitu melakukan riset-riset strategis yang menghasilkan produk-produk unik dan mempunyai nilai jual tinggi serta pasar yang luas.

The research was conducted in the production center of Aromatic rice pandan wangi West Java (District of Cianjur) in February-March 2009. The objectives of the study were to analyze the market structure and marketing channel of aromatic rice pandan wangi. The figures used were primary and secondary data with descriptive analysis approach. The result indicated that the marketing system of aromatic rice Pandan wangi build closely into a perfect competition market structure with the shortest marketing channel that involve thraser agent and distributor as the most efficient channel.
