First habits connected to alcohol drinking young people gain in the family. Misuse of alcohol and other addictive substances in young people is often connected to complex family situations and family problems while drinking model is primarily developed in peer groups. The aim of this study was to examine the connection between young peoples perception of parental acceptance- rejection, peer pressure and some sociodemographic characteristics (gender, family structure, parents education, subjective estimation of family income) with alcohol consumption. The participants were first year students at the University of Zagreb (different faculties) (N=227). The research was conducted d using the web questionnaire consisted of four parts: The Questionnaire of peer pressure constructed by Lebedina Manzoni, Lotar and Ricijaš in 2008., Parental acceptance- rejection Questionnaire constructed by Rohner in 1984, Socio- demographic questionnaire and the Questionnaire about the alcohol consumption both constructed for the purpose of this research. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic and Pearsons correlation coefficient. The results have shown significant correlation between alcohol consumption and peer pressure. The perception of parental acceptance-rejection is associated with the peer pressure.

Trend konzumacije alkohola kod mladih u stalnom je porastu, što zabrinjava i traži pozornost cijele društvene zajednice, posebice u pogledu prevencije. Roditeljski je dom mjesto prvih saznanja o navikama i kulturi pijenja alkohola, a roditeljske figure prvi uzori za identifikaciju. Mladi koji pretjerano konzumiraju alkohol često imaju složenu obiteljsku situaciju, a obrazac pijenja prvenstveno se razvija u vršnjačkim skupinama. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je dobiti uvid u povezanost percepcije roditeljskog prihvaćanja-odbijanja, vršnjačkog pritiska i nekih socio-demografskih obilježja (spol, bračni status roditelja, obrazovanje roditelja, subjektivnu procjenu dohotka obitelji) sa konzumacijom alkohola kod studenata 1. godine. Rezultati su pokazali kako ne postoji povezanost konzumacije alkohola sa percepcijom roditeljskog prihvaćanja-odbijanja, ali postoji povezanost konzumacije alkohola sa vršnjačkim pritiskom, što znači da češće konzumiraju alkohol oni studenti koji doživljavaju više vršnjačkog pritiska. No, percepcija roditeljskog prihvaćanja-odbijanja je važna jer je ona povezana sa vršnjačkim pritiskom, odnosno oni studenti koji doživljavaju veće odbijanje od roditelja, doživljavaju veći vršnjački pritisak. Što se tiče povezanosti socio-demografskih obilježja, rezultati su pokazali kako studenti piju češće od studentica, te se je važnim pokazao bračni status oca, obrazovni status majke i subjektivna procjena ekonomske situacije., The trend of alcohol consumption among young people is in increasing and it seeks the attention of the entire community, especially in terms of prevention. Parental home is a place where young people has the first knowledge about habits and culture of drinking alcohol, and parents are first model for identification. Young people who drink too much alcohol often have a complex family situation and drinking model is primarily developed in peer groups. The aim of this study was to understand the connection between the perception of parental acceptance-rejection, peer preasure and some sociodemographic characteristic (gender, family structure, parent's education, subjective estimation of family income) with alcohol consumption at the freshmens. The results have shown that there is no correlation between alcohol consumption and the perception of parental acceptance-rejection, but there is correlation between alcohol consumption and peer preasure which means that freshmens who experience more peer preasure consume alcohol more frequently. However, the perception of parental acceptance-rejection is important because it is associated with peer preasure, so students who experience rejection from their parents, experience bigger peer preasure. Also, result shown that there is connection between sociodemographic characteristics and alcohol consumption, male students dring more often than female students and family structure, mother's educational status and the subjective estimation of family income are also important.

Konzumacija psihoaktivnih droga poznata je u gotovo svim kulturama kroz sva razdoblja ljudske povijesti. Problem uporabe droga prepoznat je kada su dokazane štetne posljedice uporabe droga za pojedinca, obitelj i društvo. Zlouporaba sredstava ovisnosti najčešće započinje u adolescenciji kada su mladi ljudi skloni eksperimentiranju te predstavlja jedan od najvećih psihosocijalnih problema suvremenog društva. Mladi sve ranije počinju sa konzumacijom sredstava ovisnosti te se povećava broj mladih ljudi koji pokušavaju riješiti svoje probleme na taj način. U ovom radu baviti ćemo se konzumacijom droga kod maloljetnika i opisati različite vrste droga. Također ćemo se osvrnuti na prevalenciju, razloge konzumacije, rizične i zaštitne čimbenike, prevenciju te liječenje., Consumption of psychoactive drugs is well known in almost every culture throughout all periods of human history. Problem of drug abuse is recognized when it has been proved harmful effects of drug abuuse for the individual, family and society. Substance abuse usually begins in adolescence when young people tend to experiment and it represents one of the major psychosocial problems of modern society. Young people start consuming addictive substances earlier than before and the number of young people who are trying to solve their problems in this way increases. In this final work we shall deal with the consumption of drugs at minors and describe different types of drugs. Also, we will examine the prevalence, reasons for consumption, risk and protective factors, prevention and treatment.
