The Indonesian government issued a policy that restricts foreign ownership in several industries including the food industry, with the objective of protecting the domestically owned firm. This research analyzed the productivity differences between foreign-owned and domestically owned plants in the Indonesian food industry and whether the percentage of foreign ownership is related to productivity. Micro data on the food industry were obtained from the Annual Survey of Large and Medium scale Industries (IBS) in 2015 conducted by Statistics Indonesia. The results showed that there were productivity differences between the foreign-owned and domestically owned plants. The foreign-owned plants had higher productivity than the domestic plants. The productivity of plants with minority foreign ownership (less than 50 percent) was not significantly different from that of domestically owned plants. Meanwhile, the productivity of plants with foreign ownership more than 50 percent was significantly different from that of plants with domestic ownership. Wholly foreignowned plants (100 percent) did not demonstrate the highest productivity difference. When the data were disaggregated at the sub-sector level, the results varied among industries.

The management of PT XYZ realizes that the company needs another method that is able to comprehensively provide views with various approaches to corporate strategy formulation. Management is very aware that even though the company has been established for more than 30 years, there are several conditions that need to be improved including 1) Data that is still not integrated, where data from each department is still collecting, managing and utilizing data related to departments and not free to obtain data support from the department easily. 2) The company does not yet have appropriate indicators to develop and manage a sustainable business. and 3) The company does not yet have an integrated approach in viewing all important aspects of the business. This study aims to obtain comprehensive measurements and analyze benchmarks with a balanced scorecard. The data used were primary through interviews and secondary data with literature studies. The methods used were descriptive, paired comparison and BSC analysis. The results show that using the BSC is able to provide a comprehensive and appropriate picture of 4 perspectives

Beras merupakan salah satu makanan pokok yang mendominasi pemenuhan kebutuhan karbohidrat penduduk. Meningkatnya tingkat pendapatan penduduk menyebabkan preferensi terhadap beras yang dikonsumsi berubah. DKI Jakarta adalah provinsi dengan tingkat pendapatan yang terbesar di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi permintaan beras dan melihat perubahan respon permintaan kuantitas dan kualitas beras terhadap perubahan pendapatan dan harga di Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Data yang digunakan berasal dari SUSENAS DKI Jakarta periode Maret 2017. Jenis data yang digunakan merupakan data cross section dengan unit sampel 5.200 rumah tangga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dalam bentuk dua persamaan tunggal semilog. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan perkapita, harga beras dan jumlah anggota rumah tangga secara positif memengaruhi permintaan beras di DKI Jakarta. Elastisitas pengeluaran dan kuantitas beras menunjukkan nilai yang positif. Hal ini menunjukkan kenaikan pendapatan akan memengaruhi permintaan beras dari sisi kuantitas dan kualitas beras. Sementara elastisitas harga silang menunjukkan arah yang beragam untuk terigu dan daging ayam.

Rice price disparity at the farmer and consumer level is large. This study analyzes the movement and transmission of rice pricer at the producer and consumer level between regions in Indonesia. The data used in this study is data on rice and beef prices at the producer and consumer level from 2010 to 2017. The method used in the analysis is the Error Correction Model (ECM). The movement of rice between regions in Indonesia fluctuated throughout the period 2010- 2017. The price of rice at the producer level is more volatile than the price of rice at the consumer level. Transmission of rice prices at the consumer level to prices at the producer level occurs asymmetrically, both in the short term and in the long run. In producer- consumer relations, the transmission of rice prices at the producer level to prices at the consumer level occurs asymmetrically in the short term, but symmetrically in the long run.
