While extensive studies have been conducted to understand the factors that influence individual intentions to share knowledge, a review of the literature shows that these studies did not consider the effect of the individual sentiment of the knowledge sharer in the act of sharing knowledge. Individuals coming from different tribes might have sentiments against each other, which could influence their communication and social interaction and thus affect knowledge sharing. This study collected data from lecturers in ten polytechnic institutions in Ghana using a questionnaire and analyzed the data using the structural equation modelling (SEM) technique. The findings show that attitude, subjective norm, equal status, cooperativeness, identification, top management, and immediate superior have a significant influence on individuals' intention to share knowledge with people from other tribes. Contrastingly, common goal, institutional support, and friendliness do not influence individuals' attitude to share knowledge with people from other tribes.

Past studies have conceptualized initial trust in diverse ways. Although many have examined the effect of perceived effective sanctions on initial trust, the outcomes are still unclear, and more aspects remain untapped. As such, this study assesses the effect of perceived effective sanctions on customers' initial trusting beliefs and initial trusting intentions towards unfamiliar web retailers. Data collected from a survey were statistically analyzed using the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) technique. As a result, perceived effective sanctions displayed a significantly positive effect on both initial trusting beliefs and intention. This study enhances the understanding of initial trust and its association with perceived effective sanctions. It also offers further understanding of the effect of the construct on initial trust within the under-researched area in Malaysia. Practically, this study facilitates less reputable web retailers in devising effective strategies to build initial trust amongst consumers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) is amongst the main contributors to organizational performance and a significant outcome of various work-related behaviors. This study aims to evaluate the top 100 highly cited articles published on OCB in the Scopus database to assess the reasons why these articles are highly cited. A total of 3,096 articles on OCB, published from 1983-2018, were retrieved from the database, in which 100 highly cited articles were selected for further analysis. The findings revealed that a 40% contribution in the field of OCB research is due to these articles, and this contribution is expected to increase rapidly. Additionally, meta-analytical articles are frequently cited, followed by the review articles and then empirical research articles. Among various reasons, the highly cited articles are either pioneering studies in the field, proposing a new concept, or scale development studies. Knowledge sharing (KS) is classified as the exchange of beliefs among individuals. Knowledge is seen as a critical asset of an organisation that can be useful in enhancing the efficiency of its operational processes. Based on previous studies, a model was developed to suggest a relationship between knowledge sharing and four of the individual determinants, namely, image, self-worth, self-efficacy and extrinsic motivation. A total of 105 questionnaires were used to collect data from senior high-school teachers in the new Juaben Municipality, Ghana. Partial least square (PLS) was utilised to analyse the data. The result of the study indicates that self-efficacy and self-worth have a positive significant relationship with knowledge sharing. However, the hypotheses on image and extrinsic motivation fail to be supported. The practical implications of these results are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study is designed to assess the impact of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems on the performance perceived by users in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Pakistan. This study sought to evaluate the effect of ERPs quality factors including Information Quality (IQ), System Quality (SQ) and Service Quality (SRQ) on User Performance (UP) towards system usage through the role of Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) and User Satisfaction (US). Consequently, a framework is proposed by integration of DeLone & McLean (D&M) Information Systems (IS) success model and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to address the research questions. The study used quantitative research methodology and data were collected from 317 employees from eight universities in Pakistan. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was performed using SmartPLS. The results indicated that SQ, IQ and SRQ has direct and positive effect on UP, PU, PEOU and US. Additionally, PU, PEOU and US are found to have influence on UP. Theoretically, the study contributes by integrating factors from D&M IS success model and TAM to investigate the effect of ERP systems on UP through PU, PEOU and US. Several studies have been conducted to confirm the robustness of intergroup contact theory to reduce sentiments among people from different races, nationalities, and languages. However, reviews conducted show that none of these studies examined the applicability of the intergroup contact theory to reduce prejudice among people from a multitribal context where the people share similar characteristics, but have sentiments against each other due to tribalism. The study examines the applicability of intergroup contact theory to promote positive attitudes among individuals to share knowledge in a multitribal context. A quantitative approach was adopted using questionnaires collected from two hundred and ninety-three lecturers from ten polytechnics in Ghana. Multivariate analysis revealed that equal status, cooperativeness and common goals have positive influence on an individual's attitude to share knowledge in a multitribal context. However, the influence of institutional support was not supported. The results of the study suggest the applicability of the intergroup contact theory explains how to promote a positive attitude in a multitribal context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: This paper investigates the role of patron dining experience (PDE) and emotions on relationship quality in the chain restaurant industry. Design/methodology: Stratified random sampling method was used where questionnaires were distributed to the respondents in 16 selected 'Kopitiam' outlets throughout Malaysia. The empirical findings from 316 customers of those outlets were examined using Partial Least Squares (PLS). Findings: The findings provide strong evidence of the relationships between PDE and emotions with relationship quality, where relationship quality in turn is an essential determinant of customer loyalty. Research limitations/implications: The sample of this study was obtained from a single local chain restaurant in Malaysia. Practical implications: The findings of this study highlighted the importance for service firms, generally those in the restaurant industry to strengthen the relationship with their customers in pursuit of better competitive advantage and long-term profit. Originality/value: This study contributes to theoretical knowledge by providing an empirical study on the effect of emotions construct towards the formation of relationship quality within the hospitality industry context. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are the largest software packages of Information System (IS) adopted by many organisations to seek improvement in their employee's productivity and gain competitive advantage. The purpose of the study is to highlight the current state of literature on ERP system with specific focus on ERP quality factors representing System Quality (SQ), Information Quality (IQ), Service Quality (SRQ). The study also highlights the exemplary measures (scale) applied in various studies to evaluate ERP systems in many settings. The study will enable the researchers to understand ERP quality factors and its impact while utilizing and evaluating the ERP system.
