The present investigation was undertaken to identify fish larva and estimate their abundance, diversity and evenness indices. Twelve stations were sampled monthly during daytime hours by Bongonet in the kharg and khargoo regions of Persian Gulf from January 2005 through December 2006. Forty family of fish larva were identified, Families of Silaginidae, Clupeoidea, Blenidae and Athrinidae consisted of more than 61 percent of all specimen; The abundance of specimen were more during spring through fall months and least during winter. The number and abundance of identified families varied from cruise to cruise and station to station; the average amount of diversity, Species Richness and evenness in investigated region were computed 1.93, 12 and 0.68, respectively. Temperature and salinity of water during this study were between 16-34°C and 35-42 gr/lit. There weren’t any significant correlation between fish larva indices and above factors. For detect pollutions and impact of them on the living organisms in the Genaveh-Kharg region, a survey was planned from September, 1997 to Jan, 1998. Five station were selected on the basis of location of oil industries and ecological variation and one station was selected as a non polluted area in the Emam Hasan region. Monthly specimen of Water and sediment for analysis and measurement of heavy metals, TPHs, planktons and benthos were collected in all stations. Specimen of TPH were analyzed by Gas chromatography and weighting methods and Heavy metals specimen were analyzed by atomic absorption, at lab. The maximum amount of TPHs in water and sediment were 500 mg/liter and 250 mg/kg respectively, however the maximum amount of Zn, Cu, Ni, Pb, Cd and Fe in sediment estimated to be 30.7, 10.3, 37.0, 12.2, 2.0, 8.16 mg/kg respectively. In the polluted stations, density and biodiversity of benthos and plankton specimen were less than non polluted station, in addition Diatoms and Copepods were the most sensitive, although Dinoflagelates and Bivalves showed the most resistance to oil pollution.
