The article offers information on the registration of Giza 132 six-rowed barley, which was developed and released by the Barley Research Department, Agricultural Research Center at Giza Egypt. The Giza 132 six-rowed barley is a drought-tolerant spring cultivars selected for its high yielding capacity under drought stress in the rainfed areas of Egypt. It was derived from F3 populations received from the International Center for Agricultural Reseach in the Dry Areas. The pedigree method of plant breeding was used for its development.

The pedigree breeding method was used for its development, and it was being selected for early maturity, yielding stability and high yielding potential under drought stress conditions.
