Abstract: We report new constraints on light dark matter (DM) boosted by blazars using the 205.4 kg day data from the CDEX-10 experiment located at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. Two representative blazars, TXS 0506+56 and BL Lacertae are studied. The results derived from TXS 0506+56 exclude DM-nucleon elastic scattering cross sections from $4.6\times 10^{-33}\ \rm cm^2$ to $1\times10^{-26}\ \rm cm^2$ for DM masses between 10 keV and 1 GeV, and the results derived from BL Lacertae exclude DM-nucleon elastic scattering cross sections from $2.4\times 10^{-34}\ \rm cm^2$ to $1\times10^{-26}\ \rm cm^2$ for the same range of DM masses. Abstract: Dark matter (DM) is a major constituent of the Universe. However, no definite evidence of DM particles (denoted as ``$\chi$") has been found in DM direct detection (DD) experiments to date. There is a novel concept of detecting $\chi$ from evaporating primordial black holes (PBHs). We search for $\chi$ emitted from PBHs by investigating their interaction with target electrons. The examined PBH masses range from 1$\times$10$^{15}$ to 7$\times$10$^{16}$ g under the current limits of PBH abundance $f_{PBH}$. Using 205.4 kg$\cdot$day data obtained from the CDEX-10 experiment conducted in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, we exclude the $\chi$--electron ($\chi$--$e$) elastic-scattering cross section $\sigma_{\chi e} \sim 5\times10^{-29}$ cm$^2$ for $\chi$ with a mass $m_{\chi}\lesssim$ 0.1 keV from our results. With the higher radiation background but lower energy threshold (160 eV), CDEX-10 fill a part of the gap in the previous work. If ($m_{\chi}$, $\sigma_{\chi e}$) can be determined in the future, DD experiments are expected to impose strong constraints on $f_{PBH}$ for large $M_{PBH}$s., Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures, 3 tables. Abstract: Recently a dark matter-electron (DM-electron) paradigm has drawn much attention. Models beyond the standard halo model describing DM accelerated by high energy celestial bodies are under intense examination as well. In this Letter, a velocity components analysis (VCA) method dedicated to swift analysis of accelerated DM-electron interactions via semiconductor detectors is proposed and the first HPGe detector-based accelerated DM-electron analysis is realized. Utilizing the method, the first germanium based constraint on sub-GeV solar reflected DM-electron interaction is presented with the 205.4 kg$\cdot$day dataset from the CDEX-10 experiment. In the heavy mediator scenario, our result excels in the mass range of 5$-$15 keV/$c^2$, achieving a 3 orders of magnitude improvement comparing with previous semiconductor experiments. In the light mediator scenario, the strongest laboratory constraint for DM lighter than 0.1 MeV/$c^2$ is presented. The result proves the feasibility and demonstrates the vast potential of the VCA technique in future accelerated DM-electron analyses with semiconductor detectors., Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures. Abstract: CDEX-50 is a next-generation project of the China Dark Matter Experiment (CDEX) that aims to search for dark matter using a 50-kg germanium detector array. This paper comprises a thorough summary of the CDEX-50 dark matter experiment, including an investigation of potential background sources and the development of a background model. Based on the baseline model, the projected sensitivity of weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) is also presented. The expected background level within the energy region of interest, set to 2--2.5 keVee, is $\sim$0.01 counts keVee$^{-1}$ kg$^{-1}$ day$^{-1}$. At 90\% confidence level, the expected sensitivity to spin-independent WIMP-nucleon couplings is estimated to reach a cross-section of 5.1 $\times$ 10$^{-45}$ cm$^{2}$ for a WIMP mass of 5 GeV/c$^{2}$ with an exposure objective of 150 kg$\cdot$year and an analysis threshold of 160 eVee. Abstract: We operated a p-type point contact high purity germanium (PPCGe) detector (CDEX-1B, 1.008 kg) in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory (CJPL) for 500.3 days to search for neutrinoless double beta ($0\nu\beta\beta$) decay of $^{76}$Ge. A total of 504.3 kg$\cdot$day effective exposure data was accumulated. The anti-coincidence and the multi/single-site event (MSE/SSE) discrimination methods were used to suppress the background in the energy region of interest (ROI, 1989$-$2089 keV for this work) with a factor of 23. A background level of 0.33 counts/(keV$\cdot$kg$\cdot$yr) was realized. The lower limit on the half life of $^{76}$Ge $0\nu\beta\beta$ decay was constrained as $T_{1/2}^{0\nu}\ > \ {1.0}\times 10^{23}\ \rm yr\ (90\% \ C.L.)$, corresponding to the upper limits on the effective Majorana neutrino mass: $\langle m_{\beta\beta}\rangle < $3.2$-$7.5$\ \mathrm{eV}$., Comment: 11 pages, 12 figures, 2 tables. It also aims to evaluate the usefulness of color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI), an ultrasound technique for detecting blood flow in skin lesions, in assessing clinical efficacy.Methods: Thirty-three patients with PWS underwent HMME-PDT at our dermatology outpatient clinic between January 2019 and March 2020. Data on patient demographics, lesion location, lesion type (pink, purple, nodular thickening), treatment frequency, and pre- and post-treatment images were collected and retrospectively analyzed. CDFI was performed on three patients.Results: All patients received intravenous HMME and underwent irradiation with 532 nm green LED light. Of these, 5 patients received 1 session of HMME-PDT, 14 received 2 sessions, 9 received 3 sessions and the remaining 5 patients received more than 3 sessions. Of the 33 patients, 9 were cured (27.27%), 10 showed improvement (30.30%), 11 experienced a reduction in symptoms (33.33%), and 3 showed no significant improvement (9.09%). Most patients reported local pain and oedema, and no systemic adverse effects were observed. Clinical efficacy correlated with lesion type and total number of treatment sessions. CDFI appears to be an excellent technique for assessing clinical efficacy.Conclusion: HMME-PDT is a safe and effective method for the treatment of PWS. CDFI examination appears to be a promising assessment tool. Abstract: We present novel constraints on boosted light dark matter particles (denoted as ``$\chi$'') from evaporating primordial black holes (PBHs) using 205.4 kg$\cdot$day data from the China Jinping Underground Laboratory's CDEX-10 p-type point contact germanium detector with a 160 eVee analysis threshold. $\chi$ from PBHs with masses ranging from 1$\times$10$^{15}$ g to 7$\times$10$^{16}$ g are searched in this work. In the presence of PBH abundance compatible with present bounds, our result excludes the $\chi$-nucleon elastic-scattering cross section region from 3.4$\times$10$^{-32}$ cm$^{2}$ to 2.3$\times$10$^{-29}$ cm$^{2}$ for $\chi$ of 1 keV to 24 MeV from PBHs with masses of 5$\times$10$^{15}$ g, as well as from 1.1$\times$10$^{-28}$ cm$^{2}$ to 7.6$\times$10$^{-28}$ cm$^{2}$ for $\chi$ of 1 keV to 0.6 MeV from PBHs with masses of 7$\times$10$^{16}$ g. If the $\chi$-nucleon elastic-scattering cross section can be determined in the future, the abundance of PBHs may be severely constrained by $\chi$ evaporation. With the lower threshold (160 eVee) of the CDEX-10 experiment compared to the previously used experiments, this work allows for a better reach at soft spectra produced by heavier PBHs, which demonstrates the vast potential of such a technical route to pursue $\chi$ from larger PBHs with a low threshold., Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures. 10. Unsupervised domain-adaptive person re-identification with multi-camera constraints

Abstract: Person re-identification is a key technology for analyzing video-based human behavior; however, its application is still challenging in practical situations due to the performance degradation for domains different from those in the training data. Here, we propose an environment-constrained adaptive network for reducing the domain gap. This network refines pseudo-labels estimated via a self-training scheme by imposing multi-camera constraints. The proposed method incorporates person-pair information without person identity labels obtained from the environment into the model training. In addition, we develop a method that appropriately selects a person from the pair that contributes to the performance improvement. We evaluate the performance of the network using public and private datasets and confirm the performance surpasses state-of-the-art methods in domains with overlapping camera views. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study on domain-adaptive learning with multi-camera constraints that can be obtained in real environments., Comment: ICIP 2022

Abstract: We investigate exotic neutrino interactions using the 205.4 kg$\cdot$day dataset from the CDEX-10 experiment at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. New constraints on the mass and couplings of new gauge bosons are presented. Two nonstandard neutrino interactions are considered: a $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge-boson-induced interaction between an active neutrino and electron/nucleus, and a dark-photon-induced interaction between a sterile neutrino and electron/nucleus via kinetic mixing with a photon. This work probes an unexplored parameter space involving sterile neutrino coupling with a dark photon. Abstract: A search for exotic dark matter (DM) in the sub-GeV mass range has been conducted using 205 kg$\cdot$day data taken from a p-type point contact germanium detector of CDEX-10 experiment at China Jinping underground laboratory. New low-mass dark matter searching channels, neutral current fermionic DM absorption ($\chi+A\rightarrow \nu+A$) and DM-nucleus 3$\rightarrow$2 scattering ($\chi+\chi+A\rightarrow \phi+A$), have been analyzed with an energy threshold of 160 eVee. No significant signal was found. Thus new limits on the DM-nucleon interaction cross section are set for both models at sub-GeV DM mass region. A cross section limit for the fermionic DM absorption is set to be $\rm 2.5\times 10^{-46} cm^2$(90\% C.L.) at DM mass of 10 MeV/c$^2$. For the DM-nucleus 3$\rightarrow$2 scattering scenario, limits are extended to DM mass of 5 MeV/c$^2$ and 14 MeV/c$^2$ for the massless dark photon and bound DM final state, respectively., Comment: 5 pages, 7 figures

Abstract: We present improved germanium-based constraints on sub-GeV dark matter via dark matter--electron ($\chi$-$e$) scattering using the 205.4 kg$\cdot$day dataset from the CDEX-10 experiment. Using a novel calculation technique, we attain predicted $\chi$-$e$ scattering spectra observable in high-purity germanium detectors. In the heavy mediator scenario, our results achieve 3 orders of magnitude of improvement for $m_{\chi}$ larger than 80 MeV/c$^2$ compared to previous germanium-based $\chi$-$e$ results. We also present the most stringent $\chi$-$e$ cross-section limit to date among experiments using solid-state detectors for $m_{\chi}$ larger than 90 MeV/c$^2$ with heavy mediators and $m_{\chi}$ larger than 100 MeV/c$^2$ with electric dipole coupling. The result proves the feasibility and demonstrates the vast potential of a new $\chi$-$e$ detection method with high-purity germanium detectors in ultralow radioactive background., Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures. Abstract: A natural broad energy germanium (BEGe) detector is operated in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory (CJPL) for a feasibility study of building the next generation experiment of the neutrinoless double-beta (0{$\nu\beta\beta$}) decay of $^{76}$Ge. The setup of the prototype facility, characteristics of the BEGe detector, background reduction methods, and data analysis are described in this paper. A background index of 6.4$\times$10$^{-3}$ counts/(keV$\cdot$kg$\cdot$day) is achieved and 1.86 times lower than our previous result of the CDEX-1 detector. No signal is observed with an exposure of 186.4 kg$\cdot$day, thus a limit on the half life of $^{76}$Ge 0$\nu\beta\beta$ decay is set at T$_{1/2}^{0\nu}$ $>$ 5.62$\times$10$^{22}$ yr at 90% C.L.. The limit corresponds to an effective Majorana neutrino mass in the range of 4.6 $\sim$ 10.3 eV, dependent on the nuclear matrix elements., Comment: 10 pages, 15 figures

15. Ferromagnetic MnBi4Te7 obtained with low concentration Sb doping: A promising platform for exploring topological quantum states

Abstract: The tuning of magnetic phase, chemical potential, and structure is crucial to observe diverse exotic topological quantum states in $MnBi_2Te_4(Bi_2Te_3)_m$ (m = 0, 1, 2, & 3). Here we show a ferromagnetic (FM) phase with a chiral crystal structure in $Mn(Bi_{1-x}Sb_x)_4Te_7$, obtained via tuning the growth conditions and Sb concentration. Unlike previously reported $Mn(Bi_{1-x}Sb_x)_4Te_7$, which exhibits FM transitions only at high Sb doping levels, our samples show FM transitions ($T_C$ = 13.5 K) at 15%-27% doping levels. Furthermore, our single crystal x-ray diffraction structure refinements find Sb doping leads to a chiral structure with the space group of P3, contrasted with the centrosymmetric P-3m1 crystal structure of the parent compound $MnBi_4Te_7$. Through ARPES measurements, we also demonstrated that the non-trivial band topology is preserved in the Sb-doped FM samples. Given that the non-trivial band topology of this system remains robust for low Sb doping levels, our success in making FM $Mn(Bi_{1-x}Sb_x)_4Te_7$ with $x$ = 0.15, 0.175, 0.2 & 0.27 paves the way for realizing the predicted topological quantum states such as axion insulator and Weyl semimetals. Additionally, we also observed magnetic glassy behavior in both antiferromagnetic $MnBi_4Te_7$ and FM $Mn(Bi_{1-x}Sb_x)_4Te_7$ samples, which we believe originates from cluster spin glass phases coexisting with long-range AFM/FM orders. We have also discussed how the antisite Mn ions impact the interlayer magnetic coupling and how FM interlayer coupling is stabilized in this system., Comment: 37 Pages, 7 Figures and 2 Tables. Abstract: We present new constraints on light dark matter boosted by cosmic rays (CRDM) using the 205.4 kg day data of the CDEX-10 experiment conducted at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. The Monte Carlo simulation package CJPL\_ESS was employed to evaluate the Earth shielding effect. Several key factors have been introduced and discussed in our CRDM analysis, including the contributions from heavier CR nuclei than proton and helium, the inhomogeneity of CR distribution, and the impact of the form factor in the Earth attenuation calculation. Our result excludes the dark matter--nucleon elastic scattering cross-section region from $1.7\times 10^{-30}$ to $10^{-26}~\rm cm^2$ for dark matter of 10 keV$/c^2$ to 1 GeV$/c^2$., Comment: 9 pages, 7 figures. Cell proliferation ability was detected by colony formation assay and CCK8 assay. Cell apoptosis was monitored by flow cytometry assay. Next, the RPS3 expression levels and the related proteins in NFκB pathway were examined using Western blot analysis. The role of lnc-SNHG5 and RPS3 in vivo was identified by subcutaneous tumor bearing experiment.Results: Lnc-SNHG5 was significantly increased in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues and in hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Further investigation showed that up-regulated lnc-SNHG5 promoted cell viability and cell proliferation ability of SMMC-7721 cells by regulating the cell apoptosis, while down-regulation of lnc-SNHG5 revealed opposite results in QGY-7703 cells. In terms of mechanism, we found that lnc-SNHG5 interacted with RPS3. Lnc-SNHG5 regulated the NFκB pathway through RPS3 in vitro and in vivo.Conclusion: This study suggested that lnc-SNHG5 expression was signally up-regulated in hepatocellular carcinoma, and lnc-SNHG5 promoted the malignant phenotypes in vitro and in vivo via directly regulating RPS3-NFκB pathway. Abstract: Dark matter direct detection experiments mostly operate at deep underground laboratories. It is necessary to consider shielding effect of the Earth, especially for dark matter particles interacting with a large cross section. However, its prognostic value and immunological role of MORC2 in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD) have never been illustrated.Methods: The clinical parameters and MORC2 expression datasets of COAD patients were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). Cancer and adjacent tissue specimens from surgically resected COAD patients were collected, and quantitative real-time PCR was used to detect MORC2 expression. Differentially expressed genes related to MORC2 were discovered and used for functional enrichment analysis. The diagnostic and prognostic values of MORC2 in COAD were conducted using receiver operating characteristics (ROC), Kaplan–Meier survival curve analysis, PrognoScan, Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) public databases and nomograms. Eventually, the association of MORC2 with tumor microenvironment was analyzed by using TIMER and GSVA package of R (v3.6.3).Results: MORC2 expression was upregulated in COAD tissues, and the RT-qPCR results further verified the reliability of our differential analysis at the transcriptional level. Additionally, higher expression of MORC2 was correlated to a poor prognosis for COAD patients. MORC2 was an independent prognostic factor for COAD and could be a diagnostic factor for early COAD. Furthermore, MORC2 expression was positively correlated with immune cells such as NK cells, TFH cells and so on.Conclusion: The findings demonstrated that overexpression of MORC2 was correlated with worse prognosis and immune infiltrates of COAD. Nobiletin (NOB) is a potential hepatoprotective agent for the treatment of APAP-induced liver injury. However, the poor solubility and low bioavailability of NOB hinders its application. In this study, a novel self-assembly nano-drug delivery system of nobiletin (solid dispersion of NOB, termed as NOB/SD) was developed based on solid dispersion technology to improve the bioavailability and hepatoprotective ability of NOB for APAP-induced liver injury therapy.Methods: The optimized NOB/SD system was constructed using the amphiphilic copolymers of Soluplus and PVP/VA 64 via hot melt extrusion technology (HME). NOB/SD was characterized by solubility, physical interaction, drug release behavior, and stability. The bioavailability and hepatoprotective effects of NOB/SD were evaluated in vitro and in vivo.Results: NOB/SD maintained NOB in matrix carriers in a stable amorphous state, and self-assembled NOB-loaded nanomicelles in water. Nanostructures based on solid dispersion technology exhibited enhanced solubility, improved release behavior, and promoted cellular uptake and anti-apoptosis in vitro. NOB/SD displayed significantly improved bioavailability in healthy Sprague Dawley (SD) rats in vivo. However, the efficacy is limited due to the rapid plasma clearance of chemotherapeutic agents. Injectable hydrogels can form drug release depots, which provide a feasible solution for optimizing targeted chemotherapy through EUS-FNI.Methods: A drug delivery system was developed, consisting of gemcitabine (GEM) and thermo-sensitive hydrogel (PLGA-PEG-PLGA, PPP). The injectability, gel formation ability, biocompatibility and sustained drug delivery properties of PPP hydrogel were verified in vitro and in vivo. The effects of GEM/PPP hydrogel on cell proliferation, invasion, metastasis, and apoptosis were explored through co-culturing with PANC-1 cells. The therapeutic effects of GEM/PPP hydrogel on xenograft mice were compared with those of GEM, ethanol and polidocanol using the precisely targeted EUS-FNI technology. Tumor sections were examined by H&E, Ki-67, and TUNEL staining.Results: GEM/PPP hydrogel exhibited excellent injectability, biocompatibility, and the capability of sustained drug delivery for up to 7 days by forming a gel triggered by body temperature. It demonstrated the best therapeutic effects, significantly reducing proliferation, invasion and migration of PANC-1 cells while promoting apoptosis. After precise injection using EUS-FNI technology, GEM/PPP hydrogel resulted in a reduction of tumor weight by up to 75.96% and extending the survival period by 14.4 days with negligible adverse effects. Pathological examination revealed no systemic toxicity and significant apoptosis and minimal proliferation as well.Conclusion: The combination of GEM/PPP hydrogel and EUS-FNI technology provides an optimal approach of precise chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer, builds a bridge for clinical translation of basic research, and brings great hope for innovation of minimally invasive treatment modalities. However, the functional role of P4HA3 in the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) of colon adenocarcinoma (COAD) and the prognosis of COAD patients has not been clarified. This study aimed to elucidate the immunological role and prognostic value of P4HA3 in COAD.Methods: P4HA3 expression in COAD tissues was analyzed via experiments and a bioinformatics algorithm. Based on the COAD patients in The Cancer Genome Atlas database, we comprehensively evaluated whether the expression levels of P4HA3 affected clinical prognosis, TIME, and immunotherapy of COAD using the R platforms and several public databases, including GEPIA, TIMER, TISIDB, and TCIA.Results: The results of the pan-cancer analysis indicated that P4HA3 expression was significantly different in most tumor tissues compared with normal tissues. P4HA3 was overexpressed in COAD tissues, and overexpression of P4HA3 was associated with a worse overall survival and a shorted progression-free interval in COAD patients. The expression of P4HA3 was positively correlated with pathological stage, T stage, N stage, perineural infiltration, and lymphatic infiltration. There were significant correlations of P4HA3 expression levels with immune cell infiltration and their makers, as well as immunomodulators, chemokines, and microsatellite status. Moreover, overexpression of P4HA3 was associated with a lower response rate to immunotherapy in the IMvigor210 cohort.Conclusion: Overexpression of P4HA3 is closely related to the poor prognosis of COAD patients, and P4HA3 is a potential target for immunotherapy in COAD patients.Keywords: P4HA3, colon adenocarcinoma, prognosis, immunotherapy, tumor immune microenvironment

Abstract: We present weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment (CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level (C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low $m_{\chi}$ region. Abstract: We present the improved constraints on couplings of solar axions and more generic bosonic dark matter particles using 737.1 kg-days of data from the CDEX-1B experiment. The CDEX-1B experiment, located at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, primarily aims at the direct detection of weakly interacting massive particles using a p-type point-contact germanium detector. We adopt the profile likelihood ratio method for analysis of data in the presence of backgrounds. An energy threshold of 160 eV was achieved, much better than the 475 eV of CDEX-1A with an exposure of 335.6 kg-days. This significantly improves the sensitivity for the bosonic dark matter below 0.8 keV among germanium detectors. Limits are also placed on the coupling $g_{Ae} < 2.48 \times 10^{-11}$ from Compton, bremsstrahlung, atomic-recombination and de-excitation channels and $g^{eff}_{AN} \times g_{Ae} < 4.14 \times 10^{-17}$ from a $^{57}$Fe M1 transition at 90\% confidence level., Comment: version accepted by PRD, 9 pages, 11 figures

Abstract: We report constraints on the dark photon effective kinetic mixing parameter (${\kappa}$) with data taken from two ${p}$-type point-contact germanium detectors of the CDEX-10 experiment at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. The 90\% confidence level upper limits on ${\kappa}$ of solar dark photon from 205.4 kg-day exposure are derived, probing new parameter space with masses (${m_V}$) from 10 to 300 eV/${c^2}$ in direct detection experiments. Abstract: Spin-valley locking in the band structure of monolayers of MoS$_2$ and other group-VI dichalcogenides has attracted enormous interest, since it offers potential for valleytronic and optoelectronic applications. Such an exotic electronic state has sparsely been seen in bulk materials. Here, we report spin-valley locking in a bulk Dirac semimetal BaMnSb$_2$. We find valley and spin are inherently coupled for both valence and conduction bands in this material. This is revealed by comprehensive studies using first principle calculations, tight-binding and effective model analyses, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and quantum transport measurements. Moreover, this material also exhibits a stacked quantum Hall effect. The spin-valley degeneracy extracted from the plateau height of quantized Hall resistivity is close to 2. This result, together with the observed Landau level spin splitting, further confirms the spin-valley locking picture. In the extreme quantum limit, we have also observed a two-dimensional chiral metal at the side surface, which represents a novel topological quantum liquid. These findings establish BaMnSb$_2$ as a rare platform for exploring coupled spin and valley physics in bulk single crystals and accessing 3D interacting topological states., Comment: Updated acknowledgement

Abstract: We report results on the searches of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) with sub-GeV masses ($m_{\chi}$) via WIMP-nucleus spin-independent scattering with Migdal effect incorporated. Analysis on time-integrated (TI) and annual modulation (AM) effects on CDEX-1B data are performed, with 737.1 kg$\cdot$day exposure and 160 eVee threshold for TI analysis, and 1107.5 kg$\cdot$day exposure and 250 eVee threshold for AM analysis. The sensitive windows in $m_{\chi}$ are expanded by an order of magnitude to lower DM masses with Migdal effect incorporated. New limits on $\sigma_{\chi N}^{\rm SI}$ at 90\% confidence level are derived as $2\times$10$^{-32}\sim7\times$10$^{-35}$ $\rm cm^2$ for TI analysis at $m_{\chi}\sim$ 50$-$180 MeV/$c^2$, and $3\times$10$^{-32}\sim9\times$10$^{-38}$ $\rm cm^2$ for AM analysis at $m_{\chi}\sim$75 MeV/$c^2-$3.0 GeV/$c^2$., Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures

This study aims to investigate the molecular epidemiology of MDR Klebsiella pneumoniae, detect the mechanism of drug resistance, and determine the clinical risk factors for carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumonia (CRKP) bloodstream infections (BSIs) in a children’s hospital.Methods: A total of 62 strains were collected from Tianjin Children’s Hospital. Carba NP and polymerase chain reactions (PCR) were performed to detect MDR mechanisms. Multilocus sequence typing (MLST) was used for analyzing strain homology. Clinical data were collected and logistic regression was used for BSI risk factors.Results: ST11 was the principal ST among the CRKP isolates clinically, accounting for 56.45% (35/62); there were also 57.14% (20/35) ST11 CRKP strains co-carrying blaNDM-5 and blaKPC-2, which were resistant to most of the tested antibiotics, being susceptible only to cotrimoxazole and tigecycline. The clinical data showed that 72.73% (40/55) of children with CRKP infection had serious underlying diseases; 20.00% (11/55) patients developed BSIs with the potential to cause multiple organ failure, shock and death. The logistic regression showed that the risk of BSIs caused by CRKP strain infections in children with hematological malignancies after chemotherapy was 7 times that of other children (95%Cl: 1.298– 45.415, P=0.025).Conclusion: ST11 was the prevalent clone in our hospital. The emergence of ST11 CRKP co-carrying blaNDM-5 and blaKPC-2 should be a cause for alarm as they were resistant to most of the tested antibiotics. Abstract: We present PandaX-II constraints on candidate WIMP-nucleon effective interactions involving the nucleon or WIMP spin, including, in addition to standard axial spin-dependent (SD) scattering, various couplings among vector and axial currents, magnetic and electric dipole moments, and tensor interactions. The data set corresponding to a total exposure of 54-ton-days is reanalyzed to determine constraints as a function of the WIMP mass and isospin coupling. We obtain WIMP-nucleon cross section bounds of 1.6×10 −41 cm 2 and 9.0×10 −42 cm 2 (90% c.l.) for neutron-only SD and tensor coupling, respectively, for a mass M WIMP ∼40GeV/c 2 . The SD limits are the best currently available for M WIMP >40GeV/c 2 . We show that PandaX-II has reached a sensitivity sufficient to probe a variety of other candidate spin-dependent interactions at the weak scale.

We explored the prospective association between the Metabolic Score for Visceral Fat (METS-VF) and CKD in a 5-year follow-up study.Patients and Methods: In this cohort study, 631 adults not suffering from CKD from Wanzhai Town, in China in 2012 were included at baseline and followed up in 2017 and 2018. Multivariable logistic regression was used to calculate odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the association between METS-VF and CKD risk. Area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) analyses were used to evaluate the ability of METS-VF, waist-to-height ratio (WhtR), visceral adiposity index (VAI), homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), body mass index (BMI) to predict CKD risk.Results: We identified 103 CKD cases during follow-up. After adjustment for confounding factors, comparing the lowest quartile of METS-VF, the OR (95% CI) of CKD risk in the highest quartile was 3.04 (1.39– 6.64). The per Standard deviation (SD) increase in METS-VF was positively correlated with CKD risk. The AUC of METS-VF for predicting CKD risk was, in general, higher than that for WhtR, VAI, HOMA-IR, and BMI.Conclusion: METS-VF may be an indicator for predicting CKD risk.Keywords: CKD, METS-VF, visceral obesity

Abstract: (1) Background: An increasing amount of research has supported the role of radiomics for predicting pathological complete response (pCR) to neoadjuvant chemoradiation treatment (nCRT) in order to provide better management of locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) patients. However, the lack of validation from prospective trials has hindered the clinical adoption of such studies. The purpose of this study is to validate a radiomics model for pCR assessment in a prospective trial to provide informative insight into radiomics validation. (2) Methods: This study involved a retrospective cohort of 147 consecutive patients for the development/validation of a radiomics model, and a prospective cohort of 77 patients from two institutions to test its generalization. The model was constructed using T2-weighted, diffusion-weighted, and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI to understand the associations with pCR. The consistency of physicians’ evaluations and agreement on pathological complete response prediction were also evaluated, with and without the aid of the radiomics model. (3) Results: The radiomics model outperformed both physicians’ visual assessments in the prospective test cohort, with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.84 (95% confidence interval of 0.70–0.94). With the aid of the radiomics model, a junior physician could achieve comparable performance as a senior oncologist. (4) Conclusion: We have built and validated a radiomics model with pretreatment MRI for pCR prediction of LARC patients undergoing nCRT.

46. Introducing wetland offset markets under development-restoration conflicts: The role of public offset credit supply

Abstract: Wetland offset markets (WOMs) are increasingly applied worldwide as powerful tools for mitigating conflicts between wetland development and restoration. Reducing benefit uncertainty is key to promoting private restoration and introducing WOMs, which necessitates sufficient and stable price signals. Given that governments are important suppliers in WOMs, this article aims to explore the role of public offset credit (OC) supply in delivering and adjusting price signals during WOM formation and evolution. A general spatial agent-based wetland offset market model is built to simulate landowners' behavior, price dynamics, and WOM evolution under different public OC supply schemes. The results show that the spontaneous formation of WOMs is a time-consuming process. Price signals of public OCs reduce price fluctuations at the early stage of WOMs. This price stabilizing effect can cause a long-term reduction in benefit uncertainty perceived by landowners. Therefore, public OCs can facilitate WOM formation either through the supply side with high supply prices or through the demand side with low supply prices. During the entire WOM evolution process, due to landowners’ readaptation, cheap public OCs can cause significant market fluctuations following the ceasing of cheap public supplies. The impacts of public OC on wetland development and restoration might change over time, and the suitability of public OC supplies under different long-term wetland management preferences was analyzed. These findings can further the understanding of the process of introducing a new market mechanism, such as WOMs, and the role of the government as a supplier. The research results provide insights for WOM practices, public restoration and OC supply scheme design, and wetland development-restoration conflict coordination.

Abstract: Group time-based one-time passwords (GTOTP) is a novel lightweight cryptographic primitive for achieving anonymous client authentication, which enables the efficient generation of time-based one-time passwords on behalf of a group without revealing any information about the actual client’s identity beyond their group membership. The security properties of GTOTP regarding anonymity and traceability have been formulated in a static group management setting (where all group members should be determined during the group initialization phase), yet, a formal treatment for real-world dynamic groups (i.e., group members may join and leave at any time) is still an open question. It is non-trivial to construct an efficient GTOTP scheme that can provide a lightweight password generation procedure run by group members and support dynamic group management, allowing group members to join and leave without affecting other members’ states (non-disruptively). To address the above challenge, we first define the notion and the security model of dynamic group time-based one-time passwords (DGTOTP) in this work. We then present an efficient DGTOTP construction that can generically transform an asymmetric time-based one-time passwords scheme into a DGTOTP scheme utilizing a chameleon hash function family and a Merkle tree scheme. Within our construction, we particularly tailor an outsourcing solution realizing an issue-first-and-join-later (IFJL) strategy, enabling smooth joining and revocation without disrupting other group members. Moreover, our scheme minimizes symmetric cryptographic operations and maintains constant storage for group members, compared to the linear storage cost that grows rapidly with respect to the lifetime of the GTOTP instance in the previous static GTOTP scheme. Our DGTOTP scheme satisfies stronger security guarantees in a dynamic group management setting without random oracles. Our experimental results confirm the efficiency of our DGTOTP scheme.
