Besides damage to the environment, current industrial agriculture has decreased ecosystem capacity and provided the context for spreading various diseases in human communities. The covid-19 crisis and traffic restrictions not only had a hygienic, economical, and social impact but also caused disruptions in the food supply chain and the fragility of food systems in some regions asynchronously. Theoretically and practically, agriculture and food supply chain paradigm-shifting using the Internet of things (IoT) and Agroecology paradigm application, by providing food security, shortening the food supply chain, and improving food security, is considered a proper response to COVID-19 shock., International Journal on Food System Dynamics, Vol 14, No 1 (2023)

The present study aimed to determine extension requirements for slow food (SF) and to provide a model for SF extension in Iran condition. The study employed the systematic approach of grounded theory for model development. The statistical population was composed of all key experts of SF extension of which 15 individuals were selected as the sample by the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by semi-structured interview method and analyzed by the systematic approach of grounded theory through the three stages of open, axial, and selective coding. The reliability of the findings was checked by members matching and peer review. For members matching, four participants of the final report reviewed the first stage of analysis and the derived categories. The results of the analysis showed that 169 initial codes derived at the first stage of open coding were narrowed to 37 codes and were finally grouped into six categories. It was tried in the research to use SF extension experts’ views to answer the question as to how a model can be presented for SF extension by grounded theory. This model is based on a rational pattern that includes the causes and factors underpinning SF, contexts, supporting conditions in the SF model, strategies, and consequences of people’s lack of tendency towards developing an SF-based lifestyle. People’s awareness and knowledge were emphasized by both previous research and the experts interviewed here. The results show that people’s participation in decision-making has a significant impact on the SF model and all individual citizens should be covered by the training programs to reach sustainable food diets.

Drought is one of the most complex and at the same time most underrated phenomena compared to other natural disasters, yet it has had drastic, and sometimes catastrophic, effects on essential human activities across the world since ancient times. Drought is a slow-moving hazard with negative social and environmental consequences. Crisis management is part of the drought management cycle. In Iran, crisis management is the primary strategy adopted against this crisis, and consists of a spectrum of related regulations that codify the responsibilities of every organization, institution, and people from all walks of life against drought. One of the main flaws in crisis management is the absence of suitable laws and regulations and their proper execution. This study aims to review drought crisis management focusing on parliament approvals. The study results showed that there are no comprehensive and exclusive regulations against drought in Iran. There were also certain challenges associated with the implementation of these laws. This study can help reduce vulnerabilities and improve coordination in the management of drought crisis.

Iran's agriculture is globally well-known for its pistachio product. However, traditional management approaches and poor application of proper new technologies have brought reduced productivity and environmental hazards. In the information age, in order to transition from traditional to modern horticultural model, the application of precision agriculture model is appropriate. Therefore the purpose of the present study is to determine the challenges of precision agriculture application in pistachio orchards in Semnan province. The research method was survey. The statistical population were 187 horticultural experts of Semnan and counties' agricultural research center. By of Cochran formulae, 124 people were selected as sample. It was used a stratified random sampling method. In field study step, it was used the questionnaire as the main research tool. It was confirmed the face and content validity and reliability of research tool. The results of prioritizing the challenges of application of PA in pistachio orchards showed that the respondents’ point view, the lack of economic justification for PA from the point of view of gardeners in the area, fragmentation of lands and lack of integrated land management, lack of the technical infrastructure required for PA in orchards had the highest priority. Also, shortage of PA researches and the gap between research and extension, poor management of gardeners in the use of precision agricultural technologies, lack of providing consulting services to gardeners were identified as the least priority. Exploratory factor analysis results have demonstrated the exploitation of four factors, including investment and supportive, structural, human resource development and supply, finally organizational and program challenges.

The main objective of the present work was to study the factors affecting the deployment of knowledge management in Agriculture Bank of Qom Province. It was a causative- relational study in terms of data collection. Also, it was a field study, non-experimental in terms of variables control. Sample size was estimated by Morgan table and the data were collected by a questionnaire. The statistical population included manager, experts and assistants of Agriculture Bank in Qom Province including 250 people. Sample size was calculated (n = 152) by Morgan table. The reliability was estimated by a pretest with 20 questionnaires filled out by a statistical population similar the studied one. The validity was confirmed by experts whose advice was taken care of about modifying or replacing some questions. Finally, Cronbach's alpha was estimated for the questionnaire to be 0.81. To achieve research objectives, the descriptive statistics of frequency, mean, variance, and standard deviation and the inferential tests of correlation and multiple regressions were conducted by SPSS Statistical Software Package. Results revealed the significant relationship of knowledge management deployment with organization culture, knowledge sources, organization memory, and information technology at the one percent level with modified determination coefficient of 0.632. In other words, 63.2% of the variation of the dependent variable was accounted by independent variables (organization culture, knowledge sources, organization memory, and information technology)
