A 57-year-old Japanese man was admitted to the hospital with back pain and fever, multiple lung nodules, and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). Laboratory tests performed at admission showed an increased proteinase 3 anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (PR3-ANCA) level. Video-associated thoracoscopic lung biopsy was performed; pathologic examination showed granulation tissue with necrosis and multinucleated giant cells. The diagnosis of granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) was confirmed on the basis of the clinical presentation, laboratory findings, and lung biopsy. All symptoms were ameliorated, and the serum level of PR3-ANCA declined following treatment with prednisolone and cyclophosphamide. Although the association of GPA with AAA is rare, GPA may be included among the large vessel vasculitides that can give rise to aortic aneurysm.

本研究では, 小学校高学年児童を対象に, キャリア意識4領域(人間関係形成, 情報活用, 将来設計, 意思決定)の学年差と性差およびキャリア意識と適応感(自己肯定感, 学習効力感, 学校満足感)の関連について検討した。その結果, キャリア意識の4領域すべてにおいて5年生が6年生よりも高く, 人間関係形成, 情報活用, 将来設計の3領域では女子が男子よりも高かった。また, キャリア意識の4領域はいずれも, 適応感の3下位尺度すべてと有意な正の相関を示した。この結果から, キャリア教育によって児童のキャリア意識が高まれば, 児童の適応感も向上することにつながる可能性が示唆された。

The purpose of this study was to investigate developmental differences of career awareness and the relationships between career awareness and identity styles. Participants were 255 tenth-graders, 221 eleventh-graders, 228 twelfth-graders, and 195 undergraduates. They completed the Career Awareness Scale for career maturity to measure four areas of career awareness; interpersonal relationship, information utilization, future planning, and decision-making. They also completed the Identity Style Inventory to measure two identity styles; informational and diffuse/avoidant. Developmental differences of career awareness were significant but not noteworthy. Eight canonical correlation analyses indicated that the four areas of career awareness were positively related to informational style and negatively related to diffuse/avoidant style. These results suggest that acquisition of abilities and attitudes necessary for resolving career developmental tasks facilitate vocational identity formation among late adolescents.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether high school students who desired the same educational status as their parents (consistent group) showed higher career awareness than those who desired the different educational statuses from their parents (inconsistent group). Participants were 316 tenth-graders, 290 eleventh-graders, and 278 twelfth-graders. They completed the Career Awareness Scale to measure four areas of career awareness; interpersonal relationship, information utilization, future planning, and decision-making. They also completed the Parental Support Scale and Desired Educational Status Questionnaire. The consistent group showed higher parental support score and lower decision-making score than the inconsistent group. Additionally, high school students who desired higher level of educational status showd higher information utilization and decision-making scores than those who desired lower level of educational status. These results were discussed in relation to parent-child relationship.

本研究では, 2008年2月に「わくわくWORK三原2007」(職場体験学習)を体験した広島大学附属三原中学校2年生を対象にキャリア意識尺度を実施して, 職場体験学習の効果を検討した。その結果, キャリア意識の変化には個人差があり, キャリア意識が上昇する生徒(上昇群), 逆に低下する生徒(下降群), 変化しない生徒(不変群)が存在した。これら3群を職場体験学習効果の異なる群として扱い, 職場体験学習効果の有無に関連する要因を検討した。主な結果は以下の4点であった。(1)職場体験学習の経験は, 生徒の学校適応行動のうち, 規律性を高めるのに有効であった。(2)職場体験学習に行く前の生徒の学校適応行動は職場体験学習の効果の有無と関連しないことが明らかになった。また, 友だち関係の側面よりも学習の側面において, 教師評定と生徒評定の一致度が高かった。(3)職場体験学習に行く前の期待や不安は職場体験学習の効果の有無と関連していなかった。また, 3群とも職場体験学習の意義を高く評定していたが, その傾向は上昇群ほど強かった。(4)職場体験学習終了から約10ヶ月後のキャリア意識には3群間で違いがみられなかった。

The purpose of this study was to develop the Career Awareness Scale for junior high school students. The four areas of career awareness which have been emphasized in Japanese career education consisted of interpersonal relationship, informational utilization, future planning, and decision-making. The Career Awareness Scale was developed based on these four areas. Reliability of this scale was supported by internal consistency (Cronbach's α), coefficients of congruence between component loadings from two samples, and coefficients of test-retest reliability. Validity of the scale was examined by teachers' evaluation of content validity of the items and correlations between the four areas and subscales of the Educational Personality Inventory for Career Guidance (EPIC). These results suggested that the Career Awareness Scale was appropriate and useful to measure effects of career education practices.

本研究では、中学生、高校生、大学生を対象に自己愛傾向(評価過敏性、誇大性、身体賞賛、自己確信)と自尊感情(Rosenberg, Cheek & Buss, SE-Iの各自尊感情尺度で測定される自尊感情)を測定し、青年期の自己愛傾向と自尊感情の関連性について発達的に検討した。本研究の主な目的は、4つの自己愛傾向尺度得点と3つの自尊感情尺度得点が、中学、高校、大学の各学校段階においてどのような因子構造をもつのかについて二次因子分析をとおして検討することであった。自己愛傾向と自尊感情の7つの尺度得点について学校段階別に二次因子分析を行った結果、いずれの学校段階においても自己を受容する尺度得点から構成される因子と他者評価を気にする尺度得点から構成される因子の2因子が抽出された。

本研究では,幼児の攻撃タイプ(挑発的攻撃,報復的攻撃,制裁としての攻撃)及び社会的適応状態と社会的行動特徴などの他の個人要因との関連について,より詳細な検討を行うことを目的とした。個人要因の諸測度としては,月齢,語彙年齢,社会的コンビタンス,引っ込み思案を用い,攻撃タイプ及び社会的適応状態との関連について,調査時期と評価者及び被評価者の性別による違いを考慮に入れて検討を行った。

This study investigated the relationship between occupational preference and evaluation of future self about four areas (intellectual ability, interpersonal ability, athletic ability, and volition). One hundred and seventy-seven seventh-graders, 168 ninth-graders, and 225 eleventh-graders participated in this study. They were divided into one of the five groups (Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional) based on the occupational preference. Three-way ANOVA was conducted to examine whether there are different pattern of evaluation of future self among the five groups or not. Results were as follows: (1) Students in the investigative group evaluated their future intellectual ability, interpersonal ability, and volition higher than athletic ability. (2) Students in the artistic group evaluated their interpersonal ability higher than intellectual ability and volition. (3) Students in the social group evaluated interpersonal ability higher than the other three areas. (4) Students in the enterprising group evaluated interpersonal ability higher than intellectual ability. These results showed that there were different pattern of evaluation of future self among the occupational preference groups.

Multiple comparison tests are one of statistical tests that often used in amount of psychological studies. But there are too many kinds of multiple comparison tests to make proper use of the tests. In this article, we redefined multiple comparison tests for interval scale data as "tightening reduplicative t-tests". There are three lights for tightening t-tests; 1) level of significance, 2) distribution, and 3) statistic. Based on the each view many kinds of multiple comparison tests are developed. By setting information on each view for tightening t-tests before in this article, it will become possible to make proper use of multiple comparison tests.
