La hipertensión sigue siendo un importante desafío de la salud pública en todo el mundo porque aumenta el riesgo de enfermedad cardiovascular. Se ha demostrado que el manejo eficaz de la presión arterial reduce la incidencia de Acv, ataque cardiaco e Insuficiencia cardiaca. La prevalencia actual en nuestro país de Hta es del 36,3%. En el estudio Renata 2 cuatro de cada diez pacientes Hta, desconocen su condición. Esta observación no es ajena a lo que sucede globalmente. En el estudio Pure, solo se logra controlar al 13% de los hipertensos. El 30% tuvo tensión arterial óptima y el otro 30% se encontraba en prehipertensión Del 40%de los pacientes con Hta, el 40% recibían tratamiento, pero solo el 13% tenían controlada su enfermedad. Este trabajo de investigación que se realiza en el Servicio de Cardiología del Hospital Nacional de Clínicas de la ciudad de Córdoba, tiene como objetivos evaluar la prevalencia de Hta y frecuencia de pacientes controlados que concurren a consultorio externo. de Cardiología entre el mes de abril de 2021-febrero 2022. Los datos serán obtenidos de una muestra al azar mediante la utilización de historias clínicas entre el mes de abril 2021-febrero 2022.Un año de Pandemia. La hipótesis el comprobar el insuficiente control de la hipertensión arterial más allá de lo encontrados en los resultados de los estudios antes mencionados, en nuestra población de la Ciudad de Córdoba, y en un año totalmente diferente, un año de Pandemia. En donde el acceso a la salud se encuentra limitada por el COVID 19.

Molecular dynamics simulations of a variety of polymeric systems provide the evidence for two different kinds of conformational transitions: independent single bond transitions and cranklike transitions (or correlated bond transitions). While single bond transitions can be rationalized according to standard theories of activated processes controlled by the saddle point crossing, a more complex description is required for the other type of transitions. In a recent work devoted to the analysis of the simplified chain model with three rotors [B. Nigro and G. J. Moro, J. Phys. Chem. B 106, 7365 (2002)], a theory has been proposed for cranklike transitions represented as a kinetic process between equilibrium states differing by two torsional angles (i.e., two bond transitions). Moreover their rate coefficients were estimated on the basis of a local expansion about the bifurcation of the separatrices departing from the potential function maximum. In the present work the same theory is applied to a model for long alkyl chains in solution, in order to rationalize the behavior of cranklike transitions in polyethylene and to recognize the molecular features controlling them. We obtain probabilities of occurrence of cranklike transitions in substantial agreement with simulation results. Furthermore, the theory is capable of explaining the dependence of the rate on the separation between the two reactive bonds, as well as the dependence on the conformational state of the starting configuration. In particular, selection rules for next-to-nearest neighbor transitions are recovered from the shape of the separatrices and the location of the corresponding bifurcations. © 2004 American Institute of Physics. Anomalies of the inferior vena cava pose a great challenge to surgeons. Although uncommon, these congenital vascular malformations may have significant surgical implications. Awareness of their presence is essential to avoid inadvertent injury and major bleeding during retroperitoneal procedures. An accurate preoperative diagnosis and detailed planning play a crucial role to obtain successful outcomes when confronted with them. Several surgical techniques have been recommended to protect these anomalous venous structures. The aim of this review is to contribute to the knowledge of the most common types of anomalies of inferior vena cava encountered during retroperitoneal procedures. This study has used dense reconstructions from serial EM images to compare the neuropil ultrastructure and connectivity of aged and adult mice. The analysis used models of axons, dendrites, and their synaptic connections, reconstructed from volumes of neuropil imaged in layer 1 of the somatosensory cortex. This shows the changes to neuropil structure that accompany a general loss of synapses in a well-defined brain region. The loss of excitatory synapses was balanced by an increase in their size such that the total amount of synaptic surface, per unit length of axon, and per unit volume of neuropil, stayed the same. There was also a greater reduction of inhibitory synapses than excitatory, particularly those found on dendritic spines, resulting in an increase in the excitatory/inhibitory balance. The close correlations, that exist in young and adult neurons, between spine volume, bouton volume, synaptic size, and docked vesicle numbers are all preserved during aging. These comparisons display features that indicate a reduced plasticity of cortical circuits, with fewer, more transient, connections, but nevertheless an enhancement of the remaining connectivity that compensates for a generalized synapse loss., Competing Interests: The authors would like to declare the following competing interest: this study was funded in part by a grant from the Novartis Biomedical Foundation. Serialelectron microscopy imaging is crucial for exploring the structure of cells and tissues. The development of block face scanning electron microscopy methods and their ability to capture large image stacks, some with near isotropic voxels, is proving particularly useful for the exploration of brain tissue. This has led to the creation of numerous algorithms and software for segmenting out different features from the image stacks. However, there are few tools available to view these results and make detailed morphometric analyses on all, or part, of these 3D models. We have addressed this issue by constructing a collection of software tools, called NeuroMorph, with which users can view the segmentation results, in conjunction with the original image stack, manipulate these objects in 3D, and make measurements of any region. This approach to collecting morphometric data provides a faster means of analysing the geometry of structures, such as dendritic spines and axonal boutons. This bridges the gap that currently exists between rapid reconstruction techniques, offered by computer vision research, and the need to collect measurements of shape and form from segmented structures that is currently done using manual segmentation methods.

We show that the formation of a gel by conducting colloidal particles leads to a dramatic enhancement in bulk conductivity, due to interparticle electron tunneling, combining predictions from molecular-dynamics simulations with structural measurements in an experimental colloid system. Our results show how colloidal gelation can be used as a general route to huge enhancements of conductivity, and suggest a feasible way for developing cheap materials with novel properties and low metal content.

The connectedness percolation threshold (η(c)) and critical coordination number (Z(c)) of systems of penetrable spherocylinders characterized by a length polydispersity are studied by way of Monte Carlo simulations for several aspect ratio distributions. We find that (i) η(c) is a nearly universal function of the weight-averaged aspect ratio, with an approximate inverse dependence that extends to aspect ratios that are well below the slender rod limit and (ii) that percolation of impenetrable spherocylinders displays a similar quasiuniversal behavior. For systems with a sufficiently high degree of polydispersity, we find that Z(c) can become smaller than unity, in analogy with observations reported for generalized and complex networks.

Molecular Dynamics simulations are used to examine the title issue for the I-/HOD/D2O solution system in connection with recent ultrafast infrared spectroscopic experiments. It is argued that the long "modulation time" associated with the spectral diffusion of the OH frequency, extracted in these experiments, should be interpreted as reflecting the escape time of an HOD from the first hydration shell of the I- ion, i.e., the residence time of an HOD in this solvation shell. Shorter time features related to the oscillation of the OH ...I- hydrogen bond and the breaking and making of this bond are also discussed.
