Environment sustainability is becoming an important social obligation for organizations. As consumers are becoming conscious of the environment conservation, organizations are using technology to increase efficiency while saving labor costs and providing a unique in-store experience, engaging consumers interaction with the brand. Artificial intelligence (AI), that involves machines or applications mimicking human intelligence, is transforming the manner in which the consumers interact with the brands. Applying the theory of anthropomorphism and the psychological ownership theory, this study significantly contributes to the existing literature by investigating the interplay between crucial constructs such as AI anthropomorphism, psychological ownership, and product usage barrier in the context of green brands. Data was collected through a questionnaire from Indian consumers (N = 295). Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS PROCESS macro. The study provides empirical evidence on the significant role of psychological ownership with green brand AI anthropomorphism for building consumer relationships. The findings revealed that green brand AI anthropomorphism creates product usage barriers, but along with psychological ownership, the influence on consumer relationships remains positive.

Objective: Spinal anaesthesia (SA) is a well-established technique for infra-umbilical surgeries but is underutilized in children. One important reason is the limited duration of action. Unilateral diaphragmatic paralysis is often suspected when a hemidiaphragm is found abnormally elevated on chest radiography. Chest radiography has a high sensitivity for diaphragmatic palsy. A 67-year-old male presented to the hospital with a history of 4 months of exertional breathlessness that improved after taking a rest. The patient had normal cardiac and respiratory physical function. He also had a normal electrocardiogram and good systolic function on echocardiography. A treadmill test revealed ST-segment changes during peak exercise and recovery phases. On chest X-ray, his right hemidiaphragm was shown to be significantly elevated. Further investigation was conducted to rule out diaphragmatic paralysis, and the findings took a surprising turn to an entirely different diagnosis.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present a qualitative analysis of the significant factors that influence graduate employability in information technology (IT) sector. This is imperative, given the rising “employability gap” confronted by this sector, especially in context of India. The key factors that influence graduate employability have been drawn from the literature. This research paper aims to conduct a preliminary validation of these predictors of employability and analyse the contextual relationship between them through Total Interpretive Structural Modelling (TISM) technique (Nasim, 2011; Sushil, 2012). This technique is an innovative version of Interpretive Structural Modelling proposed by Warfield (1973). Design/methodology/approach The antecedents of graduate employability have been identified through qualitative analysis of available literature. Further, TISM has been used to derive a structural model and analyse the contextual relationship among these identified antecedents. The structural model has been derived through in-depth interviews with experts that include senior middle management professionals from reputed IT companies in India. The developed TISM model has been further validated through assessment surveys with a larger set of domain experts to enhance the credibility of the obtained results. Findings Based on the data collected from the domain experts, eight elements including employability and its seven antecedents were hierarchically modelled into four levels. While all the seven identified factors were endorsed by the industry experts as the drivers of employability, some of the key factors affecting employability emerged to be technical specialties knowledge, technology management skills and communication skills. Furthermore, the developed model has been subsequently validated and accepted based on the results of the assessment surveys conducted with a larger set of domain experts. Research limitations/implications The findings are expected to help the graduates seeking jobs in IT and allied sectors and the higher education institutions (HEIs) offering academic programmes in this domain. These findings would enable the graduates to understand the significance of the different knowledge/skill areas that influence their employability and increase the chances of securing job. Also, the HEIs can comprehend the developed model to understand the demands of the employers, the rationale behind it and further align their course curriculum/teaching methodologies in sync with their expectations. The developed model should be put to empirical validation for greater reliability. Originality/value The qualitative analysis of the antecedents of graduate employability using TISM technique is an original methodological contribution to the field. Though the TISM technique has been used in research studies across different sectors like e-government (Nasim, 2011), higher education (Prasad and Suri, 2011) and flexible manufacturing systems (Dubey and Ali, 2014), the application of this technique to employability in IT sector in India is a novel contribution.

Aim: Early and correct diagnosis of ovarian masses has great impact on the ultimate survival. The present study was done to know the role of color Doppler studies in characterization of ovarian masses and to evaluate its efficacy in diagnosis and differentiation of these neoplasms when used along with grayscale (B-mode) ultrasonography (USG). Materials and Methods: Over 2 years, in total, 98 patients with adnexal masses were examined, of which only 60 patients who had ovarian masses and were satisfying inclusion criteria were evaluated sonographically. Grayscale transabdominal and transvaginal sonography was followed by color Doppler with fixed parameters and indices. The results differentiated on sonographic and color Doppler examination were compared with the final diagnosis, based on histopathological examination. Results: Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV) of grayscale ultrasound in detecting malignancy in ovarian masses in the current study were calculated to be 51.85%, 75.75%, 63.63%, and 65.78%, respectively. By combining grayscale and color flow finding, the current study was able to differentiate malignant tumors from benign tumors with a sensitivity of 81.48%, specificity of 93.93%, PPV of 91%, and NPV of 86.11%. Conclusion: The present study demonstrates a significant increase in the sensitivity, specificity, PPV, and NPV in establishing the preoperative diagnosis of ovarian masses in terms of benign and malignant nature, when color and spectral Doppler was used in combination with USG as compared to grayscale (B-mode) USG alone.

Background: Studies on medical education suggest that peer-assisted learning (PAL) could be an acceptable and beneficial educational strategy to organize the programs by which students can tutor or teach their peers. We aim to compare PAL with trained faculty and also to find out the acceptance of PAL among the 1st year medical students in the department of physiology. Aim and Objectives: This study aims (1) to assess the acceptance of this relatively new innovative teaching-learning method among medical students and (2) to compare the effectiveness of teaching clinical skill delivered by peers versus trained faculty. Materials and Methods: This interventional medical education research study was conducted after ethical clearance from the Institutional Ethical Committee, on teaching clinical skills of blood pressure and pulse measurement on the 1st year MBBS students in the department of physiology. Students were divided into two groups and taught by peer who were trained prior and trained faculty members using a checklist. The objective structured practical examination scores of both groups were compared using paired t-test. Qualitative analysis of acceptance of PAL was done using a closed-ended questionnaire. Results: The scores of both the groups were adequately comparable with P > 0.0001. Qualitative analysis using questionnaire reflected that PAL was an overwhelmingly acceptable innovative teaching modality. Conclusion: These findings support the notion that PAL is more acceptable and equally effective on student’s learning and retention. PAL is an effective mean to encourage students and improve their knowledge and performance in basic sciences.

Background Videolaryngoscopy has an established role in difficult airway management in adults. However, there is limited literature to support their efficacy in children. The Truview Picture Capture Device has shown promising results for endotracheal intubation in infants in the past. The CMAC videolaryngoscope has launched its novel infant Miller blade, but its performance has not been assessed clinically for routine intubation in infants and neonates. We hypothesized that the CMAC videolaryngoscope would reduce the total time to intubation as compared to the Truview Picture Capture Device in neonates and infants. Methods After parental informed consent, 80 prospective infants posted for surgical procedures under general anesthesia were randomized to undergo intubation with either of the two. The two videolaryngoscopes were also compared in terms of time required for glottis view and intubation (primary outcome), modified Cormack and Lehane grade, first attempt and overall success rate, ease of intubation, number of attempts, and any complications. Results The CMAC significantly reduced the time required for glottic view [8 s (5.25-9) vs 9 s (6.5-12); P = 0.02] and intubation [22 s (18-26) vs 26 s (21.5-32); P = 0.003]. The median difference (95% CI) for time to tracheal intubation and time to glottic view was 4 s (1-7) and 1 (0-4). It also improved the ease of intubation, the Cormack-Lehane grades, and first attempt success rate. Intubation with the CMAC was possible in 100% cases, whereas only 92.5% of patients could be intubated with the Truview. The failed intubations with the Truview could be successfully intubated with the CMAC. Conclusion The CMAC Miller blade reduced the total time taken for tracheal intubation and intubation difficulty as compared to the Truview Picture Capture Device and may be a better tool for intubation in infants.

The sporophytic system of self-incompatibility is a widespread genetic phenomenon in plant species, promoting out-breeding and maintaining genetic diversity. This phenomenon is of commercial importance in hybrid breeding of Brassicaceae crops and is controlled by single S locus with multiple S haplotypes. The molecular genetic studies of Brassica ‘S’ locus has revealed the presence of three tightly linked loci viz. S-receptor kinase (SRK), S-locus cysteine-rich protein/S-locus protein 11 (SCR/SP11), and S-locus glycoprotein (SLG). On self-pollination, the allele-specific ligand–receptor interaction activates signal transduction in stigma papilla cells and leads to rejection of pollen tube on stigmatic surface. In addition, arm-repeat-containing protein 1 (ARC1), M-locus protein kinase (MLPK), kinase-associated protein phosphatase (KAPP), exocyst complex subunit (Exo70A1) etc. has been identified in Brassica crops and plays a key role in self-incompatibility signaling pathway. Furthermore, the cytoplasmic calcium (Ca(2+)) influx in papilla cells also mediates self-incompatibility response in Brassicaceae, but how this cytoplasmic Ca(2+) influx triggers signal transduction to inhibit pollen hydration is still obscure. There are many other signaling components which are not well characterized yet. Much progress has been made in elucidating the downstream multiple pathways of Brassica self-incompatibility response. Hence, in this review, we have made an effort to describe the recent advances made on understanding the molecular aspects of genetic mechanism of self-incompatibility in Brassicaceae.

In this paper necessary and sufficient conditions are found for the existence of a $$4$$4-cycle system of a complete graph on $$n$$n vertices with leave a nearly $$2$$2-regular graph (that is, a not necessarily spanning graph in which all vertices have degree 2 except for one of degree greater than 2).

Introduction: Migratory foreign bodies make a separate group of intravesical foreign bodies and any object in vicinity of bladder may migrate into it. Material and methods: Retrospective analysis of migratory intravesical foreign bodies which were treated over last five year, done and discussed with the available literature. Results: Different foreign bodies reported to migrate into the bladder through different route. In most of the cases, they present with minimal lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) which are often ignored by patients and clinicians; and it is the haematuria which draw medical attention. With time they encrustate into stone but rarely seen to migrate further. Conclusion: Almost any foreign body in lower abdomen may migrate into urinary bladder through almost any possible route, from where they rarely migrate further. Bladder remains as an ideal receptacle to retain them for long with encrustation.

The genetic parameters were studied to elucidate hybrid performance, genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance among 38 hybrids of cabbage. Experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications during Rabi, 2015–16 at CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur. The hybrids exhibited a wide range of variability for all the characters studied except head shape index. The hybrids SI-2008-09 × Glory1 (8.13 kg), II-12-4-10 × Glory1 (6.45 kg), IIICMS × Glory1 (6.28 kg), IICMS × E-1-3-1-2 (5.72 kg) and SI 2008–09 × GA(P) (5.41 kg) were found to be superior to check varieties Varun (3.74 kg) and KGMR-1 (4.17 kg) for marketable head yield per plot. These hybrids were also found to be superior in other component traits also. Phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV) was higher than genotypic coefficient of variation (GCV) for all the characters studied. High heritability combined with high genetic advance was observed for the characters viz., gross head weight, net head weight and marketable head yield per plot, thereby indicating the role of additive gene action in governing these traits. These characters should be considered for selection criteria for yield improvement in cabbage breeding.

Sacral agenesis is a rare congenital vertebral anomaly which is often associated with bladder, bowel and lower limb neuromuscular dysfunction. An isolated bladder involvement is quite exceptional. Here we are reporting one such neglected case with isolated bladder involvement leading to chronic kidney disease.

This paper elucidates a conceptual review of the predictors of graduate employability in the Indian information technology (IT) sector. Although this sector projects high manpower requirements in the forthcoming years, developing and seeking an employable workforce has been a challenge for the majority of recruiters. As low employability hits the sector, it becomes imperative to bridge this qualitative talent supply gap. Through a conceptual review of the literature, this paper examines the employability construct, the established models and frameworks of employability and the salient factors that influence graduate employability. Subsequently, a model is proposed depicting the predictors of graduate employability in the context of the information technology sector. The study concludes that technical skills, organisational knowledge, and personal and interpersonal skills, are significant predictors of graduate employability. These macro variables further comprise of micro variables. The propositions related to these constructs are delineated for subsequent research in this area.

Kidney is one of the most common sites for the cyst formation in the body, and the management of simple cysts is required entirely for its symptoms and complications. Surgical decortication is an established treatment for a large and symptomatic simple renal cyst. On the other hand, hydatid cysts of the kidney are usually multiloculated complex or calcified cysts and are quite rare.[2]Their surgical treatment also differs and requires complete excision with pericystectomy or partial/complete nephrectomy depending upon residual functional parenchyma, using extreme caution to avoid spillage, recurrence or development of severe anaphylactic shock.[3]A simple cyst harboring a hydatid cyst is highly uncommon and quite dangerous; as if not diagnosed preoperatively, it can create huge trouble for both the patient and the operating surgeon which happened in the present case.

Cellular Angiofibroma of the vulva is a rare benign mesenchymal tumor of middle-aged women, reported first in 1997 [1]. Although it has predilection for the vulvar region, few extravulvular cellular Angiofibromas have also been reported. [2, 3]. It has a limited potential for local recurrence and is usually treated with complete local excision. The differential diagnosis includes Aggressive Angiomyxoma, Spindle cell lipoma, Mammary-type Myofibroblastoma, Angiomyofibroblastoma, Fibrous tumors, Perineuroma, and Leiomyoma [1, 4–6]. We are reporting here two cases of cellular Angiofibroma, both arising from the labia major, treated by complete local excision and with no recurrence so far in the follow-up.

In recent years, the field of dentistry has embossed its presence by taking major leaps in research and further bringing it into practice. The most valuable ongoing research in regenerative dentistry is the study on stem cells. It was instituted that stem cells grow rapidly and have the potential to form specialized dentin, bone, and neuronal cells. These neuronal cells can be used for dental therapies and can provide better treatment options for patients. The stem cells based therapies could help in new advances in treating damaged teeth, inducing bone regeneration and treating neural injury as well.

Hereditary gingival fibromatosis is a rare disorder characterized by various degrees of attached gingival overgrowth. Gingival fibromatosis usually develops as an isolated disorder but can be one feature of a syndrome. A case of a 17-year-old female who presented with a generalized severe gingival overgrowth, involving the maxillary and mandibular arches and covering almost the whole dentition. Excess gingival tissue was removed by conventional gingivectomy under local anesthesia. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient′s appearance improved considerably. Good esthetic result was achieved without recurrence of the gingival overgrowth. After treatment, regular recall visits are necessary in order to evaluate oral hygiene, and the stability of the periodontal treatment.
