AbstractThis study aims to analyze the impact of Brand Anthropomorphism and Intimacy on the attachment between consumers and the Samsung electronic technology brand. Data were collected by convenience sampling from 357 respondents through an internet survey, using SPSS 25 and AMOS 25 software along with CB-SEM (Covariance-based SEM) analysis technique to evaluate the relationship between structures. Research results show that Brand Anthropomorphism has a direct impact on Intimacy and Brand Engagement, and Intimacy is the mediator between Brand Anthropomorphism and Brand Engagement. In addition, the research results show that in Vietnam, specifically, Ho Chi Minh City, the Brand Anthropomorphism factor in the Samsung technology brand market consists of only three components instead of four components like other brands’ previous research. In addition, this study demonstrates the role of Brand Anthropomorphism in the context of the electronic technology market, which marketing managers can deploy to achieve effective engagement between consumers and brands.

It is commonly known that the coercivity (Hc) of the rare-earth/transition-metal (RE–TM) compound is tuned based on the varying RE content as compared to the TM component. The drawback of this approach is that the Hc changes are permanent. In this work, we investigate the coercivity behaviors of the GdFeCo/Hf/MgO heterostructure where the heavy metal Hf layer is inserted in the middle not only to convert charge current into spin current but also to prevent the oxygen diffusion effect. A strong geometry dependence of coercivity detected on Hall bar devices is attributed to the intrinsic properties of GdFeCo and elucidates that the oxidation issue from MgO on GdFeCo is prevented. By selecting a proper Gd content, we demonstrate that the coercivity can be altered flexibly in a wide range Hcmax/Hcmin≈200% via electric current. We develop a simple model to simulate the roles of Joule heating and spin–orbit torques in the novel behaviors of coercivity. It is verified that the excellent magnetic characteristics of GdFeCo are still preserved while manipulating coercivity by the electric current. Our findings broaden the new magnetic behaviors of RE–TM alloys, making them attractive for tunable magnetic anisotropy.

In this work, we shed light on the mechanism behind the complexity of the anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in the rare earth-transition metal (RE-TM) compound. To achieve a comprehensive picture, we first theoretically investigate the pure elemental metals and observe that the AHE of RE Gd is negative while that of TM Co is positive. We then investigate magnetic properties and AHE behavior for two typical cases of TM-rich and RE-rich compositions that correspond to GdCo5 and GdCo3 alloys, respectively. The observation that net magnetization is not a decisive factor in assessing the AHE value is consistent with recent claims. Besides, our investigations reveal a significant role of the Gd sublattice to the AHE. The reduction AHE signal under a high-applied field is attributed to the counteraction between the positive and negative AHC contributions when the TM and RE sub-moments are aligned parallel. On a bright note, our new findings can be successfully employed to unravel two types of aberrant humps of AHE signals near compensation temperature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: While wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology combines several wavelengths onto a single waveguide, the technology of mode division multiplexing (MDM) allows many orthogonal modes of the same wavelength to operate simultaneously without interchannel crosstalk. Thus, the hybrid WDM and MDM network in which the two above‐mentioned techniques cooperate could give a several‐fold increase in the overall network capacity. Constructing this network requires hybrid wavelength‐and‐mode multiplexers, especially ones with high integration and complementary metal‐oxide‐semiconductor (CMOS) compatibility. In this paper, we propose a design of a four‐mode triple‐band multiplexer that is capable of multiplexing up to 12 separate optical signal flows by utilizing four eigenmodes (TE0, TE1, TE2, and TE3) and three‐wavelength windows, which center at 1310, 1490, and 1550 nm. The device is on silicon‐on‐insulator (SOI) platform, consisting of four butterfly‐shaped multimode interference (MMI) couplers, four directional couplers, and a 4×1 cascaded asymmetric Y‐junction coupler. Via numerical simulations, the proposed design is verified to be able to operate effectively on the three aforementioned bandwidth slots with an optical conversion efficiency of over 93% in all functions. Moreover, it exhibits insertion loss less than 1.5 dB and crosstalk smaller than −16 dB within 25 nm bandwidth at each wavelength window. These results can affirm the success of wavelength–mode combination, which leads to a massive improve in the channel capacity on the same optical multiplexing system for optical telecommunications and photonics on‐chip interconnections. We investigate the Hf/GdFeCo bilayer with the MgO cap layer for both rare earth (RE)-rich and transition metal (TM)-rich configurations of the ferrimagnetic sublattice in the presence of the perpendicular field. We study the coercivity using the anomalous Hall effect (AHE) technique by multiple measurements on the same sample. In the first set of measurements and at low electric currents, coercivity sharply drops because of the oxygen diffusion at the interface between MgO and GdFeCo when the AHE probe current is applied. During the subsequent measurements on the RE-rich sample, we observe a moderate decrease in coercivity at low currents and the coercivity increases in a high current range. Such nonlinear dependence of coercivity on electric current can be explained by the competing interplay of the spin–orbit torque (SOT) and the Joule heating effects. On the other hand, for the TM-rich case, the SOT effect is observed over a widely applied current range.

This paper presents crack identification in multiple cracked beams made of functionally graded material (FGM) by using stationary wavelet transform (SWT) of mode shapes and taking into account influence of Gaussian noise. Mode shapes are obtained from multiple cracked FGM beam element and spring model of cracks. The theoretical development was illustrated and validated by numerical examples. The investigated results show that crack identification method by using SWT of mode shapes is efficient and realizable.
