Knowledge is one of the most important resources for any companies to gain a competitive advantage through generic competitive strategy. This paper aims to investigate the knowledge management practices in knowledge-based SMEs in Malaysia and the impact on generic strategy of competitive advantage. Due to its smaller size, SMEs are said to be the best model to practice knowledge management that can help in innovation. A total of 140 questionnaires were collected from SMEs and structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. Knowledge management practices showed a strong relationship to competitive advantage which inclined more towards differentiation. However, knowledge storage and knowledge creation didn’t contribute to the competitive advantage. The findings provide an important contribution in the formulation of a model of knowledge management practices and competitive advantage among SMEs. Further discussion and implication were discussed.

This study is to explore the relationship of knowledge management, innovative intelligence and sustainable competitive advantage by using partial least square.Knowledge management practices are known for its impact on organizational performance however, it is yet to be explored on sustainable competitive advantage especially on Small and Medium Enterprises (SME).This study is also attempts to explore the role of innovative intelligence in mediating the relationship. Hundred twenty questionnaires have been collected from knowledge based SMEs.Partial least square analysis is used in the analyses to determine the relationships.Knowledge management was found to have indirect relationship with sustainable competitive advantage where innovative intelligence served as a mediator of the relationship of knowledge management and sustainable competitive advantage.The findings showed that SMEs have not exploited their organizational knowledge to develop sustainable competitive advantage through innovation. Innovative intelligence is identified as an important catalyst for SMEs to sustain its competitive advantage.

Knowledge management and learning organization are said to be closely-linked and dependent on each other. However, there are very few researches done in focusing on these two areas relationship especially on the public sectors setting.The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of knowledge management capability which consisted of knowledge infrastructure capability and knowledge process capability on learning organization.The framework provides useful perspective for investigating knowledge management capability towards learning organization in public sectors in Dubai

Knowledge sharing is always linked to SMEs due to its advantage of being small.However, very few research on knowledge sharing being done especially in SMEs.Convenience sampling was used for manufacturing and services industries of SMEs.Data was tested using Structural Equation Modeling to see the impact of knowledge sharing on organizational performance.Measurement model and structural model were developed.Knowledge sharing has strong influence on organizational performance as a second latent variable.It is important for SMEs to invest and focus on knowledge sharing activity as it would create a platform for innovation thus enhances the performance.

Tacit knowledge sharing is still at infancy especially in SME. Tacit knowledge exists in every corner of SME, in its structure and relationship especially in its people.Even though knowledge management will benefit SME as they are rich of tacit knowledge but lacking in expertise, financial capital and infrastructure, KM is almost impossible for SME currently. Since SME have efficient and informal communication network, knowledge sharing is essential especially in an organization with scarce resources.Therefore, in the wake of knowledge-based economy, tacit knowledge sharing is the best tool for SME in enhancing competence and organizational performance which suit its needs and background.
