This paper has proposed a hybrid electric vehicle that uses intelligent energy management strategy to decrease the energy consumption of the vehicle. Here, the total energy consumption of the vehicle is initially modelled and further investigated to reduce the amount of energy used to be identified as a sum of electrical energy provided by consumed fuels and on-board batteries. In particular, an intelligent controller is proposed in this work to execute its ability to decrease the total amount of energy consumed and improve the energy efficiency of the vehicle. A fuzzy system is utilized in an account supervisory controller to decide the appropriate mode of operation for the system. The part of the proposed work involves development of optimal control strategies by using neuro-fuzzy logic. In order to obtain optimal performance, the controllers are used to regulate vehicle subsystems and set points. The biggest advantage of this work is the reduction in energy consumption and their ability to execute the operation online. Simulink/MATLAB is used to simulate and validate the performance of the proposed work under various conditions and under several dataset values.

Due to the drastic exploitation of mobile devices and mobile apps in the day-to-day activities of people, the enhancement in hardware and software tools for mobile devices is also rising rapidly to cater to the requirements of mobile users. However, the progress of resource-intensive mobile applications is still inhibited by the limited battery power, restricted memory, and scarce resources of mobile devices. By employing mobile cloud computing, mobile edge computing, and fog computing, many researchers are providing their frameworks and offloading algorithms to augment the resources of mobile devices. In the existing solutions, offloading resource-intensive tasks is adopted only for specific scenarios and also not supporting the flexible exploitation of IoT-based smart mobile applications. So, a novel neuro-fuzzy modeling framework is proposed to augment the inadequate resources of a mobile device by offloading the resource-intensive tasks to external entities, and also a Bat optimization algorithm is exploited to schedule as many tasks as possible to the augmentation entities thereby improving the total execution time of all tasks and minimizing the resource exploitation of the mobile device. In this research work, external augmentation entities like distant cloud, edge cloud, and microcontroller devices are providing Resource augmentation as a Service (RaaS) to mobile devices. An IoT-based smart transport mobile app is implemented based on the proposed framework which depicts a significant reduction in execution time, energy consumption, bandwidth utilization, and average delay. Performance analysis depicts that the neuro-fuzzy hybrid model with Bat optimization provides a significant improvement compared with proximate computing and web service frameworks on the Quality of Service (QoS) parameters namely energy consumption, execution time, bandwidth utilization, and latency. Thus, the proposed framework exhibits a feasible solution of RaaS to resource-constrained mobile devices by exploiting edge computing.

Energy performance of buildings is an important issue to estimate the energy waste of buildings and their impact on the environment, so designing energy-efficient buildings could improve their energy performance. In this case, the estimation of heating and cooling loads plays an important role in this regard. However, there are few factors with unpredictable influences on the heating and cooling loads. This study has attempted to analyze the eight parameters that can significantly affect the heating and cooling loads through the Neuro-fuzzy logic approach. Accordingly, the eight parameters of relative compactness, surface area, wall area, roof area, overall height, orientation, glazing area and glazing area distribution were considered as inputs and predicting the cooling and heating load changes was regarded as the output of this study. The model was developed and its results were measured in two regression indicators of r and RMSE. Based on the obtained results it was found that roof has the strongest impact on heating and cooling loads (RMSE: 4.3596), moreover, if two factors were concurrently changed, then the combination of relative compactness and wall area can significantly affect the heating and cooling loads (RMSE: 2.6312). The most influential combination of three factors is observed as well for the heating and cooling load and these factors are relative compactness, wall area and glazing area (0.5948). However, Neuro-fuzzy logic showed overfitting for more than two inputs, therefore it is not recommended for more than two inputs.

Yapay sinir ağları (YSA) ve uyarlamalı ağ tabanlı bulanık çıkarım sistemi (ANFIS) gibi yapay zeka uygulamaları, çimento ve beton sektöründeki uygulamalarda çeşitli özellikleri tahmin etmek için bir çok araştırmacı tarafından oldukça yaygın olarak kullanılan güvenilir yöntemler olarak ifade edilmektedir. Bu nedenle yapılan çalışmada, çimento harçlarının basınç dayanımlarının tahmini için YSA ve ANFIS ile farklı özelliklerdeki tahmin modelleri oluşturulmuştur. Bu modeller için Portland çimentosu ile içerisine pomza ve/veya diatomit ikame edilmiş olan yedi farklı harç numunesinin, 2., 7., 28. ve 90. hidratasyon günlerindeki basınç dayanım sonuçları kullanılmıştır. Modellerin eğitimi için 168 adet, testi için 28 adet veri kullanılmıştır. YSA ve ANFIS modellerinde; hidratasyon yaşı, Portland çimento, pomza, diatomit, su olmak üzere 5 giriş parametresi ve harçların basınç dayanımı olmak üzere 1 çıkış parametresi belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlarının karşılaştırılmasında hata kareleri ortalamasının karekökü (RMSE), ortalama mutlak yüzde hata (MAPE) ve belirleme katsayısı (R2) gibi literatürde tercih edilen üç farklı istatiksel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca her test sonucu tek tek irdelenerek hataların daha net görülebilmesi için 2., 7., 28. ve 90. hidratasyon günlerindeki gerçek değerler ile tahmin edilen basınç dayanımları arasındaki farklar ve % değişimleri belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen verilere göre, YSA modelleri arasında Elman geri yayılımlı sinir ağı modelinin ve ANFIS modelleri arasında ise Psig üyelik fonksiyonu modelinin en iyi model olduğu olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra modellerin güçlü ve faydalı olduğu, dolayısıyla hem YSA hem de ANFIS modelleriyle pomza ve diatomit ikamesi ile hazırlanmış çimento harçlarının basınç dayanımı tahminlerinin, çok küçük hata ve kısa bir sürede oldukça iyi bir şekilde gerçekleştirilebileceği düşünülmektedir. Artificial intelligence applications such as artificial neural networks (ANN) and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) are expressed as reliable methods that are widely used by many researchers to predict various properties in applications in the cement and concrete industry. For this reason, in this study, prediction models with different properties were developed by using ANN and ANFIS to predict the compressive strength of cement mortars. For these models, compressive strength results of seven different mortar samples, in which Portland cement and pumice and/or diatomite were substituted, were used on the 2nd, 7th, 28th and 90th hydration days. 168 data for the training and 28 data for the testing of the ANN and ANFIS models were used. In ANN and ANFIS models; 5 input parameters, namely hydration age, Portland cement, pumice, diatomite, water, and 1 output parameter, including compressive strength of mortars, were determined. Three different statistical methods preferred in the literature such as mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), root mean square error (RMSE) and coefficient of determination (R2) were used to compare the results. In addition, each test result was examined one by one and the differences and % changes between the estimated compressive strengths and the actual values on the 2nd, 7th, 28th and 90th hydration days were determined in order to see the errors more clearly. According to the data obtained, it was determined that the Elman backpropagation neural network model among the ANN models and the Psig membership function model among the ANFIS models were the best model. In addition, it is thought that the models are powerful and useful, therefore, the compressive strength estimations of cement mortars prepared with pumice and diatomite substitution with both ANN and ANFIS models can be performed quite well in a very small error and in a short time.

The growing gap between electric power generated and that demanded is of utmost concern especially in developing economy, hence calling for measures to argument the existing power generated of which DG is a more viable aspect to explore in curtailing this challenges; although been confronted with issue of location and sizing. This research applied Adaptive neuro fuzzy logic technique to optimize DG location and size. A 24 bus radial network was used to demonstrate this process and having a suitable location and size at optimal position reduces power losses and also improves the voltage profile at the buses. The method was simulated using ANFIS toolbox MATLAB R2013b (8.2.0.701) 64-bit software and tested using Gwagwalada injection sub-station feeder 1 system. The results obtained were compared to that obtained using ANN. It was observed that adaptive neuro fuzzy logic technique performed better in terms of reducing power losses compared to ANN technique. The percentage reduction in the power loss at the buses cumulatively is 48.96% for ANN while adaptive neuro fuzzy logic technique is 49.21%. The voltage profile of the networks after optimizing the DG location and sizes using adaptive neuro fuzzy logic technique were also found to be much improved with the lowest bus voltage improved from 0.9284 to 1.05pu.

Hidrolik test makinalarının çalışması esnasında sistem çıkışında (uç noktada) arzu edilmeyen titreşimler ve set değerine oturmama gibi bazı olumsuzluklar oluşabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, bulanık mantık temelli bir yaklaşım ile bu olumsuzlukların giderilmesi ve sistem performansının iyileştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan geliştirmelerin üzerinde denenmesi için laboratuvar ortamında örnek bir hidrolik sistem tasarımı gerçekleştirilmiştir. Test sistemi üzerinde denetleyici olarak endüstriyel uygulamalarda sıklıkla tercih edilen Beckhoff Endüstriyel Sistemleri kullanılmıştır. Pratik uygulamalarda bu türden sistemlerde yaygın olarak PID denetim kullanılmaktadır. Ancak standart PID denetim kullanımında çalışma ortamı kaynaklı parametre değişimleri ya da sistem çalışmasını belirleyen parametre değişimleri sebebiyle başta belirtilen titreşim ya da set değerine oturmama sorunlarının üstesinden tam olarak gelinememektedir. Bu türden bir durumla karşılaşıldığında mevcut uygulamalarda PID katsayılarının operatör tarafından yeniden ayarlanması gerekmektedir. Yapılan çalışmada işte bu PID katsayılarının bulanık mantık temelli bir metod ile otomatik olarak belirlenmesi ve böylelikle hidrolik test makinasının performansının iyileştirilmesi hedeflenmiştir. During the operation of hydraulic test machines, some problems such as undesired vibrations at the system output (at the end point) and not reaching the set value may occur. In this study, it is aimed to eliminate these problems and improve system performance with a fuzzy logic‐based approach. An exemplary hydraulic system design was carried out in the laboratory environment to test the improvements made. Beckhoff Industrial Systems, which is frequently preferred in industrial applications, was used as a controller on the test system. However, in the use of standard PID control, it is not possible to completely overcome the problems of vibration or not reaching the set value specified at the beginning due to parameter changes caused by the working environment or parameter changes that determine the system operation. When such a situation is encountered, the PID coefficients need to be readjusted by the operator in current applications. In the study, it is aimed to determine these PID coefficients automatically with a fuzzy logic‐based method and thus to improve the performance of the hydraulic test machine

Taşınmaz değerleme ülkemizde gün geçtikçe önemi daha da anlaşılan ve akademikçalışmalara konu olan bir alandır. Bu alan için oluşturulacak bir modelleme;vergilendirme, kamulaştırma, kredi vb. gibi önemli işler için yapılacak değer tespitinindaha doğru ve daha objektif olmasını sağlayacaktır. Bu modelleme bir çok farklıyöntemle yapılabilir. Bilgisayar teknolojilerinin gelişmesiyle modellemeler yapayzeka ile hızlı ve yüksek doğruluklu olarak oluşturulabilmektedir. Değerleme bölgesi olarak seçilen AtakumMimarsinan Mahallesi, İlkadım Fevzi Çakmak Mahallesi ve Canik HasköyMahallesi'nde taşınmazlar homojen olarak bir bölgeden alınmıştır. Her bir modellemeiçin sekiz adet kriter belirlenmiştir. Bu kriterler; alan, oda sayısı, bina yaşı, kat kriteri,ısıtma tipi, banyo sayısı ve balkon sayısıdır. Kriterler puanlanmış ve maksimum-minimum normalizasyonu kullanılarak puanlar normalize edilmiştir. Normalize edilenpuanlar her bir mahalle için oluşturulan yazılım ortamına girilerek modellemeleroluşturulmuş ve taşınmazların yaklaşık değerleri belirlenmiştir. Sonuç verileri,taşınmaz değerleme raporlarındaki değerlerle karşılaştırılarak yöntemlerin taşınmazdeğerleme alanında kullanılabilirliği gösterilmiştir. Real estate appraisal is an area whose importance increased day by day in our countryand subject to academic studies. A real estate valuation model offers more precise andmore objective assessment of value for significant works such as taxation,expropriation and credit. This model can be made in many different ways. With thedevelopment of computer technologies, high accuracy models can be generated rapidlyusing artificial intelligence. The main artificial intelligence methods that this modelingcan create are support vector machine, genetic algorithms, chaotic modeling, robotics,neural networks and fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is a method that imitates human thoughtand allows non graphic data on real estate valuation to be included in the model. Thisimplies that the Fuzzy logic approach is extremely functional in the valuation of realestate. Artificial neural networks, another form of artificial intelligence, are a methodthat allows rapid and accurate evaluation of value by creating a relation between theinput and output data. In the study, fuzzy logic and artificial neural networks, whichare artificial intelligence methods were used on real estate valuation. By comparingthe values obtained from these methods with the report values, the speed and accuracyof artificial intelligence methods in establishing an real estate appraisal model wasexamined. Models of the real estate appraisal values were created by using bothmethods seperately on Matlab. The created model was constructed by using real estateproperties selected in Atakum, İlkadım and Canik, the central districts of Samsun. Oneneighborhood is selected from each central district. Atakum Mimarsinan, İlkadımFevzi Çakmak and Canik Hasköy were selected as valuation zones and the real estatewere taken from a region homogeneously. Eight criteria have been determined for eachmodel. These are area, number of rooms, age of the building, the floor where theapartment is located, total number of floors, type of heating, number of bathrooms andbalconies. Criteria were scored and scores were normalized using maximum-minimumnormalization. Models were created by entering the normalized scores into thesoftware environment created for each neighborhood, and then, approximate values ofreal estates were determined. The results data were compared with the data in the realestate valuation reports and the usability of the methods in the real estate appraisal areawas shown. 95

To analyze the crop yield there is need to estimate the crop production. However, it is challenging task to control the crop production response because of different inputs. Fertilizer has a notable impact on crop yield. In order to analyze the fertilizers, it is suitable to establish a predictive approach to obtain optimal parameter for the best fertilizers. The main goal of the study was to establish a predictive approach by adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to determine the impact of temperature, humidity, moisture, soil type, crop type, nitrogen, potassium and phosphorous on the fertilizers prediction. There are five fertilizers which should be predicted by the ANFIS. The used fertilizers are: urea, DAP, 14-35-14, 28-28, 17-17-17, 20-20, 10-26-26. It was found that the “phosphorous” and “nitrogen” is the optimal combination of two parameters for the fertilizer prediction. The results could be useful for optimization of the crop yield response in order to reduce the cost of the process.

Yatırımcı firmaların yeni yatırımlarında veya mevcut yatırımlarına ilave olarak kapasite artışlarında ilgili kamu kurum ve kuruluşlarından gerekli izinlerin alınması işlemleri için bir süreç ilerlemektedir. Gerekli olan bu süreçler tamamlanmadan firma yatırıma başlayamamaktadır. Söz konusu projelerin planlamasında ki öngörülen süreler çoğu zaman proje uygulamaya geçtiğinde çeşitli nedenler ile değişiklik gösterir. Bu sadece izin alma süreçleri için görevlendirilen personel kaynaklı olmaz. Kamu kurumlarının bürokratik işleyişi, resmi tatillerin hükümet tarafından birleştirilmesi, kamu kurumunda çalışan personelin aldığı izinler belirsiz iş sürelerinin oluşmasını sağlar. Dolayısı ile izin alma süreçlerinde zaman belirsizliği nedeniyle kesin çözüm veren yöntemlerin kullanılması hem gerçekçilik açısından hem de hesaplanması için gerekli süre açısından uygun olmamaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında izin süreçleri yönetiminde belirsizliğin ancak bulanık proje çizelgeleme ile çözülebileceğinden hareketle, izin süreçlerine ilişkin faaliyet listesi oluşturulmuştur. Çalışma ile metasezgisel tabanlı optimizasyon algoritması olan paralel kanguru algoritmasının bulanık veriler ile kullanımının mı yoksa bulanık olasılık dağılımları ve bulanık mantığı birleştirerek oluşan bulanık PERT algoritmasının kullanımının mı optimuma en yakın çözüm elde edileceğini öğrenmek amaçlanmıştır Bu kıyaslamanın yapılabilmesi için C# programı ile, karşılaştırma yapılabilmesine olanak sağlamak amacıyla ortak oluşturulan veri tabanı üzerinden kod ile çalışılarak iki ayrı program oluşturulmuştur. Söz konusu faaliyet listesinde öncelik ilişkileri, kaynak durumları belirlenmiş ve öncül ardıl ilişkilerine göre veriler programın kullanacağı şekilde veri tabanına ve programa aktarılmıştır. Paralel kanguru algoritması ile kaynak dengeleme işlemi yapılmasına rağmen bulanık pert yönteminin sonucunun proje özelinde toplam tamamlanma süresinin minimize edilmesi açısından daha uygun olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. The bureaucratic functioning of public institutions, the unification of public holidays by the government, and the permits obtained by the personnel working in the public institution ensure the indefinite working periods. Therefore, both in terms of realism and in terms of the time required for calculation. It is not appropriate to use the methods that give a definite solution due to the time uncertainty in obtaining permission processes.In this thesis, since the uncertainty in the management of leave processes can only be solved by fuzzy project scheduling, the activity list related to the leave processes has been created. The aim of this study is to find out whether the use of parallel kangaroo algorithm with fuzzy data or using fuzzy PERT algorithm by combining fuzzy probability distributions and fuzzy logic is the closest solution to the optimum. Making this comparison with C# program, two separate programs were created by working with the code over the common database which is enable for comparison. Priority relations in the list of activities in question, resource states were determined and the data were transferred to the database and the program in the manner that the program would use the datas according to the predecessor and successor relationships of the activities. It is concluded that the result of the fuzzy pert method is more appropriate in terms of minimizing the total completion time in the project, although the source balancing process is performed with parallel kangaroo algorithm. 150

YÖK Tez No: 586015 Bu çalışmada stok yönetimi ve sipariş miktarlarının planlanması için bir karar verme metodolojisi önerilmiştir. Önerilen metodolojinin ilk aşamasında, Lolli ve diğerleri, (2014) tarafından yapılan çalışmada önerilen AHP-K ve AHP-K-Veto yönteminin tez kapsamında geliştirilip önerilen AHP-BCO-RVeto metodu ile ABC analizi yapılmıştır. Literatürde, Çok Kısıtlı Stok Sınıflaması problemlerinde kullanılan Analitik Hiyerarşi Prosesi(AHP) yöntemini kullanan, AHP-K ve AHP-K-Veto metotlarının sınıf sayılarını göz önüne almama başta olmak üzere eksik yanları önerilen metodoloji sayesinde geliştirilmiştir. Bu metodoloji Bulanık-C-Ortalamalar(BCO) kullanımı sebebiyle AHP-BCO-RVeto metodu olarak adlandırılmıştır. AHP-BCO-RVeto sınıflama sonuçlarının diğer metotlara olan performans karşılaştırmaları yapılmış ve daha iyi performans gösterdiği kanıtlanmıştır. Sınıflama aşamasının ardından gri tahminlemeyi (GT) de kullanan karma bir tahminleme yöntemi ile ileriye yönelik veriler tahmin edilmiştir. Söz konusu karma tahminleme sisteminde, poisson regresyon (PR) ve destek vektör makinaları (DVM) ile GT birlikte kullanılmıştır. Üç tahmin yönteminin kullanılması sayesinde, her yöntemin ayrı ayrı kullanılmasına oranla daha iyi sonuçlar verdiği kanıtlanmıştır. Öte yandan, GT'nin önemli bir avantajı olan az sayıdaki veriden tahmin gerçekleştirme sayesinde, az sayıdaki veri ile tahminler gerçekleştirmek mümkün olmuştur. Elde edilen bu tahminler son aşamada parçacık sürü algoritması kullanılarak yakın optimum sipariş miktarları tespit edilmesi için kullanılmıştır. Bu verilerin göz önüne alındığı noktada birim maliyet ve benzeri maliyet kalemlerinin en etkin şekilde tahmin edilmesi ve dolayısıyla ileriye yönelik alınan kararların en etkin olarak verilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Son aşamada, bu çalışmada önerilen karar metodolojisi ticari ürün satışı yapan bir şirketten alınan verilerle oluşturulan gerçek bir uygulamada kullanılmış ve mevcut duruma göre avantajları özetlenmiştir. In this study, the goal is to propose a new decision making methodology is proposed for inventory management and order quantity planning. In the first phase of the proposed methodology, a revised version of the AHP-K-Veto (Lolli et al., 2014) is used for the ABC analysis. In the literature, AHP-K-Veto method is used for the classificication for the area of Multiple Criteria Inventory Classification (MCIC) is improved mainly in the areas such as neglecting class sizes. So an improved version named AHP-BCO-RVeto which used Fuzzy-C-Means for classification is proposed in the thesis. Newly proposed algorithm named ABC-BCO-RVeto is shown to perform better compared to other alternative algorithms. In the second phase of proposed methodology the goal is to make the decisions in the most efficient way, datas such as demand and unit price are predicted. Grey forecasting, poisson regression and support vector machines are used in a hybrid method to make a reliable prediction. The performance is evelauated and showed superior performance by using these three metohds in a hybrid-merhod compared to sole methods used for prediction. Thanks to the the best advantage of the grey prediction is the ability to be used with very few datas which prevents any problems when very low datas are available, such perdiction became available with very few datas. The predicted values are used to determine the optimum values to maximise the profit by using Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) Algoritms. The phase aims to have the most accurate predictions so that decision for the upcoming periods is performed in the most efficient way possible. In the last phase, data from a company that sells commercial products are solved with the proposed methodology and its advantages with the current status are given.

Bu tezde Zonguldak ilinin elektrik enerjisi yük tahmini, Regresyon, Geri Yayılımlı Yapay Sinir Ağları (GYYSA) ve Radyal Tabanlı Yapay Sinir Ağları (RTYSA) gibi yöntemlerle üç yıllık dönem için yapılmıştır. Tahmin yöntemlerinde geliştirilen tüm modellerde bağımsız değişken olarak; sıcaklık, nüfus, kısmen biten veya ilave edilen yapıların toplam metrekaresi, kişi başına gayri safi yurt içi hasıla, madencilik ve taş ocakçılığı iş kolunda çalışan sayısı, kişi başına toplam elektrik tüketimi (kWh) gibi değerler kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda, yıllık olarak 6 ve aylık olarak ise 2 farklı model olmak üzere toplamda 8 farklı model kurularak analiz yapılmıştır. Regresyon analizinde, tüm modellerde çoklu ve basit doğrusal regresyon yöntemleri ile 2007-2017 yılları arasındaki değerler seçilmiştir. GYYSA yönteminde, MATLAB programında oluşturulan modellerde eğitim verisi olarak 2007-2017 yılları arasındaki değerlerin %70'lik kısımları rasgele olarak seçilerek kullanılmıştır. GYYSA'nda bir veya iki gizli katman kullanılmıştır. RTYSA yönteminde ise, MATLAB programında oluşturulan modellerde eğitim verileri olarak 2007-2017 yılları arasındaki değerlerin %70 kısımları kullanılmıştır. Eğitilen modellerde tahmin performans modeli olarak R2 (karesel hata) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Tahmin yöntemleri ile bulunan üç yıllık enerji tüketimi tahmini verileri kendi aralarında karşılaştırılmıştır. Bunun sonucunda en yüksek R² değeri olan 0,9983 değerine RTYSA ile MHY1 modeli ile en iyi tahmin sonucuna ulaşılmıştır., In this thesis, three-year long term electric energy load forecasting of Zonguldak province was conducted by using Regression, Back-propagation Artificial Neural Networks (BANN) and Radial Based Artificial Neural Networks (RBANN) forecasting methods. Temperature (...), population, total square meters of partially completed buildings or added structures, gross domestic product per capita, number of employees in mining and quarrying business, total electricity consumption per capita (kWh) were used as independent variables in all models developed by forecasting methods. In this context, 6 different models per year and 2 different models per month, a total of 8 different models were established and analysed by forecasting methods. In regression analysis, dependent and independent variables including the years 2007-2017, were selected with multilinear and single regression methods in all models. In BANN method, %70 of the values between 2007 and 2017 years were randomly selected and used as training data in the models developed on MATLAB programme. In RBANN method, one or two hidden layers were used. On the other hand in BANN method, %70 of the values between 2007-2017 years were used as training data in the models developed on MATLAB programme. R² (quadratic error) method was used as the forecasting performance model in the trained models. The three-year energy consumption forecast data, found by forecasting methods, were compared among themselves. As a result of these comparisons, the highest R² value of 0.9983 was obtained with RBANN and MHY1 models as the best estimation result.

Bu çalışmada boğa sperm hücrelerinde bulanık mantık kullanılarak cinsiyet tespitinin yapılması üzerine araştırmalar ve analizler yapılmıştır. Cinsiyet tespiti, hayvan yetiştiriciliğinde, istenilen sonuca odaklanma ve planlama açısından önem teşkil etmektedir. Bulanık mantık ile yapılacak analizler için, sperm hücrelerinin mikroskopaltında incelenmesi ve elde edilen verilerle birlikte bilgisayar destekli ayrıştırma işleminin gerçekleştirilmesi gerekmektedir. Çalışmanın konusu olarak bu analizler Mamdani bulanık mantık tercih edilerek yapılmıştır. Elde edilen çıktılar sayısal sonuçlarla karşılaştırılmış ve sonuçların yeterli hassasiyette olduğu görülmüştür. Bulanıksisteminin giriş değişkenleri olarak sperma hızı, büyüklüğü ve yoğunluğu ele alınmıştır. Çıktı değişkeni olarak dişi sperm ve erkek sperm hücrelerinin elde edilmesi ve kullanılması tartışılmıştır. Çıktı sonuç verilerinin analizinden sonra, laboratuvardan elde edilen veriler ve gerçekleşmeleri ile çalışmanın başarılı olduğu görülmüştür. In this study, researches and analyzes were performed on the determination of gender by using fuzzy logic in bull semen cells. Gender identification is important for animal husbandry, focusing on the desired outcome and planning. For analysis with fuzzy logic, it is necessary to examine the sperm cells under a microscope and to perform thecomputer-aided decomposition with the data obtained. As the subject of the study, these analyzes were made by choosing Mamdani fuzzy logic. The results were compared with the numerical results and the results were found to be sufficiently sensitive. Sperm velocity, size, and density of the fuzzy system as input variables are discussed. Malesperm and male sperm cells are used as the output variable and discussed. After the analysis of the output result data, it was seen that the study was successful with the data obtained from the laboratory and their realization. 64

Günümüzde sürekli artan bir enerji ihtiyacı gözardı edilemez bir gerçektir. Elektrik enerjisi ihtiyacının karşılanması için ilk olarak fosil kaynaklar tecih edilmiş ve kullanımı artarak devam etmiştir. Ancak 1970'li yılların başında ortaya çıkan petrol krizi ve 90'lı yıllarda fosil yakıtların fazlaca kullanımına bağlı olarak görülen petrol küresel ısınma; enerji ihtiyacının karşılanmasında yenilenebilir ve temiz kaynaklara yönlendirmiştir. Rüzgar ve güneşe dayalı yenilenebilir sistemlerin ortaya çıkması ile, iki sistemin birleştirilerek kullanılmasını sağlayan hibrit sistemler doğmuştur.İstanbul ve çevresinde yapılan ölçüm verileri ile rüzgar ve güneş analizleri yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda rüzgar güneş ve hibrit üretimleri aylık ve saatlik profiller ile incelnemiş ve elektiriğin toptan satış fiyatı üzerinden yıllık hasılat değeri hesaplanarak aylık saatlik profilleri oluşturulmuştur. Ömerli, Ormanlı, Bağırganlı, Melen Yolu ve Kıyıköy olmak üzere toplam beş bölgenin detaylı rüzgar, güneş, hibrit üretim ve hasılat analizleri yapılmıştır. Analizde aynı marka ve model türbin, invertör ve paneller kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada belirlenen bölgeler için rüzgar ve güneş potansiyelleri incelenerek, rüzgar-güneş hibrit sistem için kapasite faktörleri belirlenerek modellenmiştir. AWS Openwind programı ile belirlenen sahaların rüzgar potansiyelleri belirlenerek, saatlik üretim analizlari yapılmıştır. PVsyst programı ile de güneş analizleri yapılarak saatlik üretim sonuçları elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen üretimler birer yıllık saatlik veri setlerine dönüştürülerek hibrit üretim analizi değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. İstanbul Anadolu yakasında bulunan Ömerli ölçüm verilerine yapılan Openwind rüzgar analizleri ve PVsyst güneş analizleri sonucunda hesaplanan rüzgar ve güneş faktörleri sırasıyla %26 ve %23'tür. Rüzgar ve güneşin saatlik üretim değerlerine göre hesaplanan hibrit kapasite faktörü de %24'tür. Hibrit üretim profilinde her bir ay için saatlik ortalama değerler ile, seçilen ayın tüm aylarla olan saatlik ortlama değerlerinin saçılma diyagramları incelenmiş ve korelasyonları hesaplanmıştır. Biribirleri ile en yüksek korelasyona sahip aylar belirlenmiştir. En ilişkinin temmuz ve ağustos ayları arasında olduğu görülmüştür. İstanbul Avrupa yakasında bulunan Ormanlı ölçüm verileri ile yapılan rüzgar ve güneş analizleri sonucunda hesaplanan rüzgar, güneş faktörleri sırasıyla %34 ve %23'tür. Rüzgar ve güneşin saatlik üretim değerlerine göre hesaplanan hibrit kapasite faktörü de %28'dir. Ormanlı için yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda da en fazla ilişkiye sahip olan ayların Haziran-Temmuz ayları olduğu belirlenmiştir.Hibrit sisteminin aylık toplam üretim değerlerini hangi oranlarda hangi kaynağın karşıladığı incelenmiştir. Aylık oranlar göz önünde bulundurulduğunda rüzgarın karşılama oranı yüksek iken güneşin düşük, güneşin karşılama oranının yüksek iken de rüzgarın düşük olduğu; zaman zaman da eşit ve eşite yakın karşılama oranlarına sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Rüzgar ve güneşin kaynak olarak birbirlerini tamamladığı görülmektedir.ANFIS modellemesi bulunan ortalama değerler ve veri setleri arasındaki ilişkiler ile yapılmış ve bulanık mantık kullanılarak ilişkiler değerlendirilmiş ve modellenmiştir. ANFIS ile rüzgar, güneş ve hibrit için yıllık-saatlik üretim değerleri bulanık mantık ile değerlendirilmiştir. Gerçek veri ile ANFIS'in ilişkilendirilerek hesaplayıp sonuç olarak oluşturduğu veriler arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir. Rüzgar, güneş ve hibrit üretim değerleri ile bir sonraki ayın hibrit üretimi arasında ANFIS ile kurulan ilişkinin güçlü olduğu görülmüştür. The need for an ever-increasing energy is a fact that cannot be ignored. In order to meet the electricity demand, fossil resources were first used and their use continued increasingly. However, the oil crisis that emerged in the early 70s and the global warming of oil in the 90s due to the excessive use of fossil fuels; energy to meet renewable and clean resources. Wind energy, which has been used for different purposes since the past, has been one of the energy sources which is seen as a renewable electrical energy source. Wind energy has become one of the most important energy sources today due to the high efficiency of wind turbines in the region with good wind speed potential and economic and technical constraints on fossil fuels. Solar energy has also been affected by these developments and has been in demand. Technological progress and cost reduction, as well as being able to be used in the feeding of small loads as well as being able to be used in the feeding of large loads positively affected the spread of solar energy systems. Wind and solar renewable energy sources can generate electricity independently of the grid or connected to the interconnected system. The hybrid system components are formed by combining two or more sources.Wind and solar energy systems have been taken into consideration the possibility of generation or surplus electricity production that is not enough for the system due to the external factors that change from time to time and the concepts of hybrid energy system and storage of excess energy have been born accordingly. Hybrid energy systems are defined as energy systems where two or more energy sources are used together to generate electrical energy. Hybrid energy systems can be designed as energy systems such as hydro-wind-diesel, wind-diesel, solar-hydrogen, wind-solar. Hybrid energy systems can be network-independent or grid-connected. In addition, they can feed any electrical charge or be connected to the interconnected system to act as an electrical power plant.There are many methods for calculating the energy produced from renewable sources and programs developed accordingly. Programs such as Wasp, WindPro, Openwind, Meteodyn for wind power generation analysis; PVsyst, SAM, PVsol are used for solar energy analysis.In this study, the wind and solar potentials for the identified regions were examined and the capacity factors for the wind-solar hybrid system were determined and modeled. Wind potentials of the sites determined by AWS Openwind program were determined and hourly production analyzes were performed. Solar analysis was performed with PVsyst program and hourly production results were obtained. The obtained productions were converted into one-year hourly data sets and hybrid production analysis was evaluated.The wind and solar factors calculated as a result of Openwind wind analyzes and PVsyst solar analyzes made on the measurement data of Ömerli project located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul are 26% and 23% respectively. The hybrid capacity factor calculated according to hourly production values of wind and sun is 24%. In the hybrid production profile, the scattering diagrams of hourly average values for each month and hourly average values of all months of the selected month were examined and their correlations were calculated. The months with the highest correlation with each other were determined. The most significant relationship was between July and August.Wind and solar factors calculated as a result of the wind and solar analyzes made by the measurement data of Ormanlı project located on the European side of Istanbul are 34% and 23% respectively. According to the results of the analysis, the highest project in terms of wind production, capacity factor and revenue is Ormanlı and the lowest project is Kıyıköy. It is the highest region in terms of forested wind production. Ormanlı is followed by Ömerli, Melen Yolu, Bağırganlı and Kıyıköy respectively. The regions with the highest solar capacity factor are Melen Road and Bağırganlı. The highest region in terms of hybrid production and capacity factor is Ormanlı. Ormanlı is followed by Melen Yolu, Bağırganlı, Ömerli and Kıyıköy respectively.For Ormanlı, Melen Road, Bağırganlı, Ömerli and Kıyıköy hybrid systems, the ratio of the total production of the system is calculated by calculating the source ratio of skiing in terms of the total production value of the system. Ulaşım araçları, insanların ihtiyaçlarını ve mallarını bir alandan diğer bir alana taşımak amacıyla kullanılan araçları ifade eder. Bu araçlar, eski çağlardan günümüz zamanına kadarki tüm araçları içerir. Trafikteki araç sayılarının artması, kullanılan yollar ,etrafındaki alanların yetersizliği ve bu yolların genişletilememesi veya alt/üst yollar yapılamaması sebebiyle akıllı trafik sinyalizasyon sistemlerine ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Günümüzde, trafik sistem mekanizmalarının sabit zamana bağlı olması sebebiyle trafik kontrolü yeterli değildir. Zaman kaybını ve ekonomik sorunları engelleyebilmek için birtakım akıllı yöntemler ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada dört yollu bir kavşaktaki trafik ışıklarının akıllı denetimi için günün belirli saatlerinde toplanmış gerçek verilere dayanarak Bulanık Mantık (BM) yönteminin ve Petri Ağlarının (PA) uygulaması yapılmıştır. BM'nin ve PA'nın performansları, klasik (sabit süreli) performansları ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre hem ekonomi hem de zaman açısından petri ağ yöntemi nin en iyi sonucu verdiği görülmüştür. PA 755 sn'de 849 araç, BM 910 sn'de 375 araç ve klasik yöntemde 920 sn'de 341 araç geçişi gerçekleştiği görülmüştür. Intelligent traffic signaling systems are needed due to the increase in the number of vehicles in the traffic, the insufficiency of the areas around the roads used and the inability to expand these roads or lower / upper roads. At present, traffic control is not sufficient due to the fixed time of the traffic system mechanisms. A number of intelligent methods have emerged to prevent time loss and economic problems.In this study, Fuzzy Logic (BM) method and Petri Nets (PA) were applied based on the actual data collected at certain times of the day for intelligent control of traffic lights at a four-way intersection. The performances of the BM and PA were compared with the classical (fixed-time) performances.According to the results obtained, both the economy and the time of the petri-net method is seen in the first place. Then the fuzzy logic method and finally the classical method were observed. According to the results obtained, both the economy and the time of the petri netting method gave the best results. It was observed that 849 vehicles were passing in PA 755 s, 375 vehicles in BM 910 s and 341 vehicles in 920 s in the conventional method. 74

This paper utilizes clustering tool in MATLAB to find an optimal set of input parameters for the detection of human emotions using a neuro-fuzzy logic system. Previous studies have relied on a total of 14 physiological factors to detect one or more of 22 different human emotions. In this paper, we use clustering techniques to rank the factors in terms of their significance and impact on the system, and thus find a smaller subset of the factors for the detection of emotions. The clustering method shows that the stroke volume factor (SV) has the lowest impact in the model and as such can be eliminated from the set of factors. The electroencephalography (EEG), heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) are shown to have the highest impact on the model, and must be include in the input set of the model. We compare the clustering method with exhaustive methods for finding the optimal set of factors.

Bu tezde, kaotik sistemlerin kontrolü için iyi bilinen bazı kaos kontrol yöntemleri ile yapay zekâ tekniklerinin birlikte kullanımı önerilmiştir. Chua devresinin kontrolü kayma kipli kontrol yöntemi, yapay sinir ağları ve ikisinin bir arada kullanımı ile, Bonhoeffer–van der Pol devresinin kontrolü pasif kontrol yöntemi, bulanık mantık ve ikisinin bir arada kullanımı ile, Colpitts devresinin kontrolü ise geri-beslemeli kontrol yöntemi, sinirsel-bulanık ağlar ve ikisinin bir arada kullanımı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonuçlar karşılaştırmalı grafikler ile sunulmuştur. Sonuçlar, önerilen yaklaşımın kaotik sistemlerin denge noktasına kontrolünü daha hızlı sağladığını göstermiştir. Chaos is an undesired behaviour for electronic circuits. In this thesis, usage of some well-known chaos control methods with artificial intelligence techniques is proposed for the control of chaotic systems. Sliding mode control method, artificial neural networks and using both of them are applied for the control of Chua's circuit, the passive control method, fuzzy logic and using both of them are applied for the control of Bonhoeffer–van der Pol circuit, and the feedback control method, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system and using both of them are applied for the control of Colpitts circuit. The results are presented by comparative figures. They show that the proposed approach provides the control of chaotic systems to their equilibrium points more effectively.

Günümüzde elektrik enerjisi maliyetlerinin artması ile birlikte, tüketiciler için enerjinin verimli kullanımı çok önem kazanmıştır. Elektrik enerjisinin verimli kullanılmasının yöntemlerinden biri reaktif güç kontrolü ve kompanzasyonudur. Bir enerji kalitesi sorunu olan reaktif gücün azaltılması; bir başka deyişle kompanze edilmesi, kritik önem taşır. Enerjinin daha verimli kullanımı için yönetmeliklerde yapılan değişikliklerle beraber, reaktif enerji tüketiminde limitlerin düşürülmesi, reaktif güç kompanzasyonunun önemini arttırmıştır. Gelişen teknolojiyle beraber mikroişlemcilerin güç elektroniği sistemlerinde kullanılmaya başlamasıyla birlikte, kontrol sistemleri ve güç katı maliyetlerinin düşmesi, tristörlü kompanzasyon sistemlerini, geleneksel elektromekanik kompanzasyon sistemleriyle rekabet edebilir hale getirmiştir. Özellikle dengesiz yüklenmelerin olduğu ve yükün hızlı değiştiği durumlarda, alçak gerilim reaktif güç kompanzasyonu istenilen güçlerde ekonomik bir çözüm olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. PLC kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada, harmonikler ihmal edilerek reaktif güç kompanzasyonu sabit kapasite ve tristör kontrollü reaktör (SK-TKR) ile tasarlanmıştır. Tasarlanan kompanzatör PID, bulanık mantıkla birlikte yapılan PID (BPID) ve uyarlamalı sinirsel bulanık çıkarım sistemi (ANFIS) kontrol yöntemleri uygulanarak reaktif güç kompanzasyonu yapılmıştır. Uygulanan yöntemlerin sonuçları arasında kıyaslama yapılmıştır. Uygulanan kontrol yöntemleri ile PID performans verilerinden olan aşma, büyük ölçüde ortadan kaldırılmıştır. Üçgen ve yamuk üyelik fonksiyonlu BPID ile yerleşme zamanının azaltılması sağlanmıştır., With the increase in the cost of electrical energy, efficient use of energy is more important today for consumers. For the efficient use of electric energy reactive power control and compensation is very important. Reduction or compensation of reactive power, which is an issue of energy quality, is of critical importance. The changes in the regulations made for the efficient use of energy along with the reduction of limits in reactive energy consumption have increased the importance of reactive power compensation. With improving technology, along with the introduction of the microprocessor control of power systems and power electronics system of strict cost reduction, thyristor compensation systems have become competitive with conventional electromechanical compensation systems. Especially in cases of unbalanced load and rapid changes in load, they emerge as an economic solution for desired power in the low-voltage reactive power compensation. In the present study, a compensation system with a fixed capasitor and thyristor controlled reactor (FC-TCR) has been presented, which was conducted using PLC which can conduct reactive power compensation. Reactive compensation was conducted on the designed system by using PID, fuzzy logic and adaptive PID made with neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) control methods. The experimental results of the methods are compared. The PID control performance data, the overshoot, has been largely eliminated. Reduction of the settlement time with the triangular and trapezoidal membership function fuzzy PID (BPID) has been achieved.

Kompozit malzemelerin kullanımı, hafif olmaları ve aynı zamanda yüksek özgül dayanım, yüksek tokluk, kırılma dayanımı ve iyi boyutsal özellikleri koruması vb. özelliklerinden dolayı son yıllarda büyük oranda artmaktadır. Kompozit malzemelerin endüstriyel uygulamalarının artmasından dolayı, montaj için bu malzemelerin delme gibi talaşlı işlenmesini gerektirmektedir. Ancak bu malzemelerin delinmesinde deformasyon gibi bazı problemlerle karşılaşılmaktadır.Bu çalışmada, cam elyaf takviyeli plastik (CETP) kompozitlerin delinmesinde iş mili devri, ilerleme ve soğutma ortamının kesme kuvveti, deformasyon, yüzey pürüzlülüğü ve sıcaklık üzerine olan etkileri araştırılmıştır. Deneyler, WC matkaplar kullanılarak farklı delme parametrelerinde (1000, 2000 ve 3000 dev/dak iş mili devri ve 0.05, 0.1 ve 0.15 mm/dev ilerleme) ve kuru, basınçlı hava ve CO2 gazı gibi farklı soğutma ortamında yapılmıştır. Deneylerden elde edilen sonuçlardan, bulanık mantık yöntemi kullanılarak tahmin modelleri geliştirildi. Daha sonra, bu modellerden elde edilen değerler ile deneysel sonuçlar karşılaştırıldı. The use of composite materials has greatly increased in recent years due to its some characteristics such as high strength-to-weight ratios, high specific strength, high corrosion resistance, high toughness, high fracture strength and high dimensional properties. Due to the increased industrial applications of composite materials, for assembly these materials need hole. However, some problems such as deformation are encountered in the drilling of these materials.In this study, the effect of spindle speed, feed and cooling environment on the cutting force, delamination, surface roughness and temperature in drilling of glass fiber reinforced plastic (CETP) composites were investigated. Experiments were carried out at different drilling parameters (1000, 2000 and 3000 rpm spindle speed and 0.05, 0.1 and 0.15 mm/rev feed rate) and different cooling environments such as dry, pressure air and CO2 gas using WC drills. From the results obtained from the experiments, prediction models were developed using the fuzzy logic method.Then, the experimental results were compared with the values obtained from these models. 105

Günümüz imalat şartlarında, işletmelerin envanter yönetimini optimize etmenin en iyi yolu, envanterlerin sınıflandırılmasıdır. Bu ihtiyaç üzerine geliştirilmiş çok sayıda çok kriterli envanter sınıflandırma yöntemi mevcuttur. Fakat mevcut yöntemler uygulama zorluğu, kalitatif verilerle çalışamama ve öznellik içerme gibi pek çok açıdan eleştirilere maruz kalmaktadır. Mevcut yöntemlerde en sık karşılaşılan sorunlardan biri de, yeni bir envanter kalemi dahil edildiğinde sınıflandırma işleminin tekrar edilmesi zorunluluğudur.Bu tez çalışmasında, yapay zeka yöntemlerinden faydalanılarak yeni bir çok kriterli envanter sınıflandırma modeli geliştirilmiştir. Bu hibrit model oluşturulurken Bulanık C-Ortalamalar (FCM) ve Adaptif Ağ Yapısına Dayalı Bulanık Çıkarım Sistemi (ANFIS) yöntemlerinden faydalanılmıştır. FCM ve ANFIS metotları pek çok kez bir araya getirilmiş fakat daha önce envanter sınıflandırma problemleri için kullanılmamıştır. Çalışma sonucunda; tahmin, öğrenme ve sınıflandırma yeteneğine sahip bir çok kriterli envanter sınıflandırma modeli geliştirilmiştir. Bu model diğer modellerden farklı olarak, yeni bir envanter birimi dahil edildiğinde modelin tekrar oluşturulması zorunluluğunu ortadan kaldırmaktadır. Ayrıca, yine birçok modelden farklı olarak, bu model kantitatif verilerin yanı sıra, kalitatif verilerle de çalışabilmektedir. Bir firmadan elde edilen veriler ile geliştirilen modelin uygulaması yapılmıştır. Daha sonra aynı veri seti ile yapay sinir ağları kullanılarak yeni bir model oluşturulmuştur. Son olarak iki modelin performansları karşılaştırılmıştır. In today's manufacturing environment, the best way to optimize inventory management is classifying the inventories for enterprises. Upon this needs, a lot of multi criteria inventory classification methods are developed. However, each of these methods are criticized in many ways, such as; the difficulty of the application, not having capability of handling qualitative data, involving subjectivity. In addition, one of the most common problem is that, in most of the existing methods, when a new inventory item is stored in a warehouse, the classification process must be repeated.In this study, a new multi criteria inventory classification model is generated by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. By using Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) and Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference Systems (ANFIS), a hybrid model is developed. For the first time, ANFIS and FCM methods are combined to solve multi criteria inventory classification problem. As a result of the study, multi criteria inventory classification model with ability of prediction, learning and classification, is generated. The proposed model does not need to regenerate and solve whenever a new inventory item is introduced. At the same time, this model is capable of handling both quantitative and qualitative criteria. The model is applied to a real life data set that obtained from a company. Then a new model is generated by using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method. The performance of the proposed model is verified by comparing with ANN model. 70

HVAC (Isıtma, Havalandırma ve İklimlendirme) uygulamaları, uygun termal konfor koşullarını sağlıklı bir şekilde yerine getirmeyi hedefler. Uygulamalarda hedeflenen hava kalitesi; insan sağlığı ve konforunu en üst seviyede tutmaya doğrudan etki eder. Bu nedenle, HVAC uygulamaları sağlık ve konfor koşullarını yerine getirme konusunda çok önemli bir yere sahiptir. Son yapılan araştırmalarda HVAC sistem yönetiminde Bulanık Mantık uygulaması ile olumlu sonuçlar alındığı belirtilmiştir. HVAC sistemlerinde doğrusal olmayan denklemler içeren matematiksel formüller ile çoklu değişkenler ve klasik hesaplama yöntemi kullanımının zor olduğu durumlarda bulanık mantık kullanmak, çok daha elverişlidir. Bulanık mantık yaklaşımı, sistem değişkenlerinin analizi ile bulanık mantık elemanlarının ilişkilendirilmesini içerir. Klasik algoritmalardan farklı olarak bulanık mantık algoritması, insan mantığına benzer bir sezgisel yaklaşım içerir. Bulanık kümelerle girdilerin kesin değerlere kıyasla kesin sonuçlar vermesi yerine kesinliğe daha yakın sonuçlar vermesi sağlanabilir.Matlab yazılım programı ile yapılan bu çalışmanın amacı, bir ofiste çalışan kişilerin, bulanık mantık tabanlı HVAC sistemi ile termal konfor koşullarına uygun ve sağlıklı bir şekilde çalışabilmelerini sağlamaktır. Ayrıca klasik sistemlerin çalışma prensiplerinden farklı olması sebebiyle enerji verimliliği de sağlanacaktır.Çalışmada öncelikle bulanık mantık kavramı çeşitli örneklerle açıklanmış ve bulanık mantığın kontrol sistemlerinde ne gibi farklılıklar yaratabileceği konusuna değinilmiştir. Daha sonra problemin sağlıklı şekilde ortaya konması adına klasik kontrol sistemlerinin dezavantajları ortaya konulmuştur. Diğer yandan Bulanık Mantık tabanlı bir HVAC kontrol sistemlerinin muhtemel avantajları ve dezavantajları belirlenmiştir.Bulanık mantığın bir HVAC kontrol sistemine adapte edilmesi için gerekli olan parametreler belirlenmiş, bununla ilgili veri setleri elde edilerek MATLAB programı üzerinden bu veriler işlenmiştir, Sistem değişkenlerinin birbiri ile etkileşimi sonucu verdiği tepkiler bulanık sisteme entegre edilmiştir. Veri setleri üzerinden oluşturulan kural tabloları ile üyelik fonksiyonları hazırlanarak bir model oluşturulmuştur. Daha sonra, oluşturulan bulanık mantık modeli çalıştırılmış, tutarlı sonuçlar verdiği gözlemlenmiştir. Yapılan simülasyon sonucunda elde edilen çıktılar ışığında tartışmalar yapılarak ''Bulanık Mantık Tabanlı İklimlendirme Kontrolü'' konusunun uygulanabilirliği gözlenmiştir. HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) applications aim to fulfill the appropriate thermal conditions in a healthy manner. Targeted air quality in applications, directly affects human health and comfort at the top level. For this reason, HVAC systems have a significant role in implementing health and comfort conditionsRecent researches have shown that positive feedback is obtained by using fuzzy logic method in the management of these systems. In HVAC systems; the use of fuzzy fogic applications is more convenient when it is very difficult to use conventional calculation methods such as mathematical texts with nonlinear equations and areas with multiple management variables. The fuzzy logic approach involves analysis of system variables, the combination and transformation of fuzzy logic elements and variable units. Contrary to standard algorithms, fuzzy logic solutions involve a heuristic approach similar to that of human perception. Instead of giving certain results with certain ideas, fuzzy sets can give susceptible results. The aim of this study which is created by Matlab programme, is to create a fuzzy logic based HVAC system allows people who are in the same office area to work in suitable and healthy way with thermal comfort conditions. In addition, energy efficiency will be provided because classical systems are different from the working principles. In the study, first of all, the concept of fuzzy logic is explained with various examples and it is mentioned how differences can be created in fuzzy logic control systems. The disadvantages of conventional control systems have been demonstrated in order to put the problem in a healthy state. On the other hand, the possible advantages and disadvantages of a ''Fuzzy Logic Based HVAC Control System'' have been identified.The parameters required for adapting the Fuzzy logic to a HVAC control system are determined, the data sets related to this are obtained and the data is processed through the MATLAB program. The responses of the system variables are integrated into the fuzzy system. A model has been created by preparing membership tables and rule tables created through data sets. Later, it is observed that the generated Fuzzy Logic model is executed, giving consistent results. The feasibility of `Fuzzy Logic Based Air Conditioning Control` has been observed by discussing the output light obtained as a result of the simulation. 65

Tuberculosis [TB] has afflicted numerous nations in the world. As per a report by the World Health Organization [WHO], an estimated 1.4 million TB deaths in 2015 and an additional 0.4 million deaths resulting from TB disease among people living with HIV, were observed. Most of the TB deaths can be prevented if it is detected at an early stage. The existing processes of diagnosis like blood tests or sputum tests are not only tedious but also take a long time for analysis and cannot differentiate between different drug resistant stages of TB. The need to find newer prompt methods for disease detection has been aided by the latest Artificial Intelligence [AI] tools. Artificial Neural Network [ANN] is one of the important tools that is being used widely in diagnosis and evaluation of medical conditions. This review aims at providing brief introduction to various AI tools that are used in TB detection and gives a detailed description about the utilization of ANN as an efficient diagnostic technique. The paper also provides a critical assessment of ANN and the existing techniques for their diagnosis of TB. Researchers and Practitioners in the field are looking forward to use ANN and other upcoming AI tools such as Fuzzy-logic, genetic algorithms and artificial intelligence simulation as a promising current and future technology tools towards tackling the global menace of Tuberculosis. Latest advancements in the diagnostic field include the combined use of ANN with various other AI tools like the Fuzzy-logic, which has led to an increase in the efficacy and specificity of the diagnostic techniques.

In this thesis, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy logic based sensorless control system for brushless DC motor is studied. Starting by proposing a fuzzy logic based speed controller then followed by using neural networks to form an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). In the next step, ANFIS controller is applied for controlling the speed of sensorless brushless DC motor drive. By using sensorless control method, less parts and maintenance of the motor drive are needed beside decreasing the overall cost of the system. Furthermore, a conventional control method using "Proportional-Integral (PI)" controller is also studied for comparing the performance of the different proposed control methods. For speed control of brushless DC motor, fuzzy logic and ANFIS based controllers have a robust and best performance since they are independent of the mathematical model of the motor which is complex, multivariable, non-linear, and subjected to many variations. For the proposed motor control system, PI, fuzzy logic based and ANFIS based speed controllers have been designed and simulated with a complete drive model. Moreover, motor drive system is made to run under different conditions regarding the load and speed and then the performance of every controller has been analyzed. In the last part of the thesis, all proposed controllers are implemented on an embedded system for physical application and again the performance of every controller is studied., Bu tez çalışmasında fırçasız DC (BLDC) motor sürücü sistemi için adaptif sensörsüz Nöro-Bulanık mantık tabanlı bir kontrol sistemi tasarlanması amaçlanmıştır. Öncelikle bulanık mantık denetleyici bir Adaptif Nöro-Bulanık çıkarım sistemi (ANFIS) kullanılarak tasarlanarak, BLDC motorun sensörsüz hız kontrolüne uygulanmıştır. Sensör kullanılmadan gerçekleştirilen yöntemlerde ise, daha az parça kullanılacak, bakım gereksinimi ve maliyet azalacaktır. Ayni zamanda, önerilen kontrol yöntemlerinin performanslarının karşılaştırılabilmesi için klasik sensörsüz kontrolör olan "Proportional-Integral (PI)" kontrolör de tasarlanmıştır. Bulanık mantık temelli denetleyiciler ile parametre değişimlerine karşı daha az duyarlı ve çok değişkenli sistemler için daha iyi sonuç verecek yapılar geliştirilebilir. BLDC motorların matematiksel modelleri, karmaşık, doğrusal olmayan ve çok değişkenli bir yapıdadır. Bu zorluklar matematiksel modele ihtiyaç duymayan yapay zekaya dayalı akıllı denetleyicilerinin tasarımıyla aşılabilir. Önerilen motor kontrol sisteminde, PI, bulanık tabanlı ve nöro-bulanık kontrolörler tasarlanarak, motorun sürücüsünü de içeren tam bir benzetim modeli ile benzetim çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın son aşamasında sistemin performansı farklı çalışma şartlarında altında test edilmiştir. Daha sonra tasarlanankontrolörler gömülü sistem olarak gerçeklenerek,gerçek sistem üzerinde uygulama çalışmaları yürütülmüştür.

Bu tez çalışmasında karayollarında kışla mücadele güzergâhlarının nasıl belirlenmesi gerektiği, kış havasının trafik akışına etkisi, kışla mücadele eylem planının nasıl olması gerektiği örnekleriyle birlikte anlatılarak yeni bir bakış açısı geliştirilecektir. Kış geldiği zaman doğada ağaçlar yapraklarını dökmeye, hayvanların bazıları kış uykusuna dalmaya, insanlar ise giyeceklerini değiştirmeye başlar. Soğuyan havalar nedeniyle, yağmurlar yerini kar fırtınası, don ve buzlanmaya bırakır. Karayollarında normal hava koşullarında seyahat eden araçlar, kış koşullarında aynı rahatlık ve konforda seyahat edemez. Zira yağmur, kar, buzlanma gibi meteorolojik hadiseler görüş mesafesini düşürürken, birim zamanda yoldan geçen araç sayısının azalmasına neden olur. Bu çalışmada ülkemizde ulaşımın büyük bölümünün yapıldığı karayollarından sorumlu kurumların kış mevsiminde yollarda, üst geçitlerde, okul, hastane, meydan gibi halkın yoğun kullandığı toplumsal alanlarda ne tarz çalışmalar yapması gerektiği, ana arter ulaşımında kar fırtınasında yolların kapanmaması için eldeki araç ve gereçleri en etkin ve verimli şekilde nasıl kullanmaları gerektiğine ilişkin standartlar ile dünyanın gelişmiş ülkelerinde ve ülkemizde kışla mücadelenin nasıl yapıldığı, aradaki benzerlikler ve farklar açıklanmaktadır.Sonuç olarak; kışla mücadele güzergâhlarının belirlenmesinde tecrübeli insanların görüşleri, ilçe nüfus sayısı, araç sayısı, güzergâha ait yolun önemi, kavşak bağlantısı ve eğimi ile hava koşulları (güneşli, yağmurlu ve karlı) göz önünde bulundurularak Bulanık Mantık Çıkarım modeli ile yeniden belirlenmiş ve standart haline getirilmiştir. Güneşli, yağmurlu ve karlı havalarda birim zamanda yoldan geçen araç sayılarının ne şekilde değiştiği hesaplanarak gözler önüne serilmiş ve bu çalışmanın sonuçları ileriye dönük trafik tahmin modellerine atlık teşkil edecektir. In this thesis, a new point of view will be developed by explaining how the winter response routes should be determined, the effect of winter conditions on the traffic flow, and how to prepare a winter response plan. When winter arrives, the trees in the nature start to move their leaves, some of the animals fall into winter sleep, and people change their clothes. When weather gets colder, the rain turns into snow storm, frost and ice. The vehicles that are travelling on highways under normal weather conditions, can not travel with the same comfort due to winter conditions. Because, meteorological events such as rain, snow, icing reduces the sight distance and decreases the number of vehicles passing by unit time. In the thesis, the actions that the related agencies should take at roads, overpasses, schools, hospitals and squares are identified. Also, the similiraties and differences at actions taken in winter conditions between the developed countries and our country are identified and the standarts on how to use the vehicles and equipments efficiently at winter response are explained. As a result, the winter response routes are redetermined by using Fuzzy Logic Inference model by using the skills of the experienced people, district population, number of vehicles, the importance degree of the route, junctions, slope and weather conditions (sunny, rainy and snowy) and standardised. The number of vehicles passing by the unit time at different weather conditions are estimated. And the results of this study will be used as a reference to forward traffic forecasting models. 82

Su, insan ve diğer canlıların hayatlarını sürdürmeleri için ihtiyaç duydukları hava, toprak ve ateş (enerji) gibi birincil maddelerdendir. Bu sebepledir ki, tarihte kurulmuş şehirler ve medeniyetler çoğunlukla su kaynaklarını merkeze almak suretiyle gelişmişlerdir. Ancak tarihte ve günümüzde canlılar için son derece gerekli suyun faydalı yönlerinin yanı sıra zararlı yönleri de vardır ki, bunların en önemlisi özellikle şiddetli yağışlar sonrası ortaya çıkan taşkın zararları ve yağışların az olması durumunda ortaya çıkan kurak süreler ve canlılar üzerindeki etkileridir.Taşkın (sel), özellikle şiddetli yağış sonrasında akarsuyun olağan şartlar altında akışını sürdürdüğü yatağından taşmak suretiyle akışına devam ettiği olaya denir. Su basması ise taşkınla birlikte meskûn bölgenin sular altında kalması olayıdır. Bu tür afet durumlarından korunmanın birinci kuralı ilgili havzaya ait mecranın uygun bir şekilde tasarlanıp inşa edilmesidir. Diğer bir kural ise ortaya çıkacak yağışa göre gerçek zamanlı ve en doğru tahminleri ortaya koyabilmektir. Bu tez çalışmasında ikinci kural için adımlar atılmıştır ve en doğru hidrograf tahmini adına literatüre önemli katkılar yapılmıştır.Hidrolojinin önemli konularından tepe (pik) debi ve hidrograf tahmini, şehirleşme ile birlikte daha önemli bir hal almıştır. Mevcut modeller özellikle de orta ve büyük boyuttaki havzalar için iyi sonuçlar verirken küçük havzalar için tahminler ölçümlerle pek örtüşmemektedir. Bu çalışmada İstanbul'un Avrupa yakasında bulunan ve Ayamama ismiyle bilinen küçük bir havza üzerinde 2013 ve 2014 arası iki yıllık ölçümler yapılarak üretilen dört farklı modelin ayarlaması yapılmış ve tahminler üretilmiştir.Hidrograf tahmini gerçek girdilerinin fazlalığı sebebiyle tahmin edilmesi son derece zor ve karmaşık bir meseledir. Karmaşık olayların modellenmesi için önemli bir araç konumundaki Bulanık Mantık günümüzde artık yaygın bir şekilde kullanılmaktadır. Bu düşünceyle tez çalışması için bulanık zincir modeli (Mamdani-ANFIS) önerilerek iyi bilinen ve yaygın kullanılan bir modelle (SCS-Snyder) kıyaslanmıştır.Bulanık zincir modeli Mamdani ve Sugeno (ANFIS) isimli iki halkadan meydana getirilmiştir. Birinci halka da üç girdi ile toprak nemi çıktısı ikinci halkada da dört girdi ile tepe debi çıktısı elde edilmiştir. Mamdani bulanık çıkarım yapısında sözellik tam anlamıyla hâkimiyet kurduğundan modelin girdi ve çıktısına ait herhangi bir veri takımı bulunmasa da tecrübeye dayalı cümleler ve sözler sayısallaştırılabilmektedir, çünkü girdiler gibi çıktılar da bulanıklaştırılmaktadır. Bulanık zincir modelinin en önemli özelliği birinci aşamada toprak nemini tahmin etmesidir, ancak neme dair veri takımı mevcut değildir. Dolayısıyla, toprak nemi tahmin edilirken ilgili girdilerle Mamdani çıkarım yapısı kullanılmıştır. Sugeno bulanık çıkarım yapısında ise girdiler her ne kadar bulanıklaştırılsa bile çıktı için bir takım kesin sayısal ifadelerin belirlenmesi gerekmektedir. Dolayısıyla bu çıkarım yapısında hem girdi hem de çıktı değerleri ölçülmelidir. Bu bilgiler düşünülerek, önerilen bulanık zincir modelin ikinci halkasında ANFIS (Sugeno) yazılımı kullanılmıştır. Ek olarak, aynı veriler kullanılarak tezde ikinci bir bulanık zincir modeline de yer verilmiştir.Bulanık zincir modelinin eğitilip çalıştırılması için fazladan üç farklı girdiye daha ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu durum her ne kadar hassas sonuçlar verse de, modelin başka havzalarda kullanımını zorlaştırmaktadır. Bunun için daha az veriyle çalışmaya imkan tanıyan ve tek aşamalı bulanık modeller de önerilerek tezde sunulmuştur.Ortalama mutlak hata sonuçlarına göre bulanık zincir modeli en iyi uç (pik) debi tahminlerini, bulanık modeller yaklaşık tahminleri ve SCS-Snyder de çoğunlukla ölçümden uzak tahminleri üretmişlerdir. Bu aşamadan sonra hidrograflar çizdirilerek görsel kıyaslamalar da yapılmıştır. Hidrograflar çizdirilirken SCS tarafından önerilmiş boyutsuz birim hidrograf koordinatlarından faydalanılmıştır.Bu tez çalışmasında BZM temellerinin kullanılabilirliği farklı bir uygulama ile ayrıca gösterilmiştir. Arap yarımadasının en büyük ülkesi Suudi Arabistan'da bulunan bazı meteorolojik ölçüm noktaları üçerli öbekler halinde dikkate alınarak Buharlaşma+Terleme (BT) tahmini yapılacaktır.BT zeminin toprak ve bitki ile değişik oranlarda örtülmesi durumunda suyun sıvı halden gaz haline geçişine denmektedir. İki olayı birden içeren BT birçok araştırmacı tarafından bir takım denklemler önerilerek hesaplanmıştır. Ancak, birçok girdiyi içeren Penman-Monteith (PM) yöntemi hem kurak hem de nemli bölgeler için en hassas yöntem olduğu ortaya koyulmuştur. PM hassas sonuç üretmesi sebebiyle birçok araştırmacının BT hesaplaması için kullandığı vazgeçilmez bir denklemdir. Günümüzde PM denklemi yoğun bir şekilde kullanılırken yapay zekâ yöntemleri de kullanarak BT tahmini konusunda yol alınmaktadır. Farklı yapay zekâ yöntemleri bulanık mantık, yapay sinir ağı, genetik algoritma ve bunların türevleri kullanılmak suretiyle farklı girdi türleri ile BT modelleri kurulmuş ve tahminler üretilmiştir. Gerçekleştirilen tüm çalışmalar ilgili ölçüm noktasının kendi verisi dikkate alınarak o nokta için BT tahmini ve hesabı yapılmıştır.Bu çalışmada ilk defa iki noktanın verilerinden bu iki noktaya yakın olan üçüncü bir ölçüm noktası için BT tahmini yapılacaktır. Bu maksat için tezin uç debi tahmininde önerilen BZM'ne benzer bir zincirleme akış diyagramı geliştirilmiştir. Buna ek, iki noktaya ait PM ile hesaplanan BT'ler ile üçüncü noktann BT'sini tahmin etmek için bulanık model geliştirilecektir. BT hesabı için PM denklemi kullanılırken önerilen tahmin modelleri için de Sugeno bulanık mantık ve BZM ilkelerinden faydalanılacaktır. Sonuçta, BT tahmini için biri bulanık model biri de BZM toplam iki model üretilmiştir ve birbiri ile kıyaslanmıştır. In this study, four different fuzzy models are suggested; the first two are fuzzy chain models (FCM) that appear the first time in this thesis and the next two are fuzzy system models (FSM). The comparisons of these models with the well-known classical one indicate better validity and reliability of the fuzzy models for peak discharge estimations. The application is presented for a small basin, Ayamama basin, within Istanbul City, Turkey.This basin lies on the European side of Istanbul and its basin area is 40.1 km2. Its upstream is forest area, whereas the downstream portion is covered by urbanization areas. For potential flood model applications, small sub-basins are chosen at the upper part of the Ayamama Basin. Since the beginning of 2013 up to the present, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center, (IBB-AKOM, in Turkish) has worked on flood forecasting for the basin, but with the use of classical methods. Available reliable data are taken into account including 23 records over two years (2013-2014), 15 of which are used to train the models and the remaining 8 events for testing.In this thesis, four fuzzy system models are proposed and their comparisons are given with frequently used classical SCS-Snyder method.In the literature, there are many methods for hydrograph production or peak discharge estimation. One of the most important hydrograph methods, Snyder is combined with SCS loss method methodology within Flood Hydrograph Package, HEC-1 (Hydrologic Engineering Center) software that runs under Watershed Modeling System (WMS) software.The Snyder method has two geomorphologic parameters for hydrograph description; one for time to peak discharge from the center of hyetograph, which is referred as the peak time (tp) and the other for the peak discharge estimation itself. These parameters are dependent on the drainage basin geomorphologic features such as the drainage area, main stream length, slope and the distance between the centroid projection on the main stream and the outlet point. In this study, they are calculated using the observed rainfall-runoff records.Excess rainfall is calculated according to SCS loss method. For this purpose, the SCS Curve Number and initial abstraction rate expressing the losses are calibrated. After the peak discharge and delay time calculations, the hydrograph is generated from the dimensionless unit hydrograph values.There are always uncertainties in any drainage basin hydrograph and its peak discharge calculations, but the fuzzy logic inference system can alleviate the uncertainties through fuzzification procedure. Fuzzy logic plays the major role in approximate reasoning through computers based on the fuzzy logic rules. There are several fuzzy inference systems (FIS), with slightly different outputs. In Mamdani FIS both input and output variables are in the form of fuzzy membership functions (MF), where linguistically expressions in the form of rule base are dominant. However, in the Sugeno FIS, although input is in the form of fuzzy MFs, but the output is crisp either as a constant or a first order linear function. The Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) uses mainly Sugeno FIS and gets support from the artificial neural network (ANN) in training phase. It allows estimation in the best possible way providing compliance between input and output variables. The sum of the error should be equal to zero or very close to zero and the sum of the square error should be the smallest possible. ANFIS trains the data by taking into account these two points and prepares convenient solutions.FCMs include Mamdani and Sugeno FISs (ANFIS) in the form of two chain rings. Mamdani approach is used as the first part of the chain with the output soil moisture data. Both input and output data should be known for the execution of FCM steps. Additionally, FMs include only Sugeno FIS.FCM and FM are used for peak discharge estimation by taking into consideration the following variables; Average temperature, T (Co), during period between previous and present precipitation events, Interval duration, DB, (hour), between previous and present precipitation events, Total average rainfall, RP, (mm), during previous precipitation event, Soil moisture, S, (%), as the output whose inputs are T, DB, and RP in Mamdani FIS, Total rainfall in Olimpiyat, RO, (mm), during present precipitation event at the station, Total rainfall in 212 AVM, R212, (mm), during present precipitation event at the station, Rainfall duration, RD, (minute), of present precipitation event, Peak discharge, QP, (m3/s), as the output whose inputs are all the variables mentioned in the previous items for the ANFIS software.FCMs have been formed from two chain rings as Mamdani and Sugeno (ANFIS). Although lack of data set for both input and output variables in the Mamdani FIS, meaningful words and expressions related to the concerned event can be quantifiable by fuzzy sets in the system. In the same manner, if only the output data set is missing, then they can be quantified using fuzzification and corresponding fuzzy sets. Hence, in FCMs, Mamdani approach is used for the soil moisture as an output and three data sets as inputs. Consequently, the inputs in Mamdani FIS are used in the first chain model to obtain the soil moisture data as a percentage. It is necessary to determine any output as crisp numerical expressions in the Sugeno FIS, even if the inputs are fuzzy. Hence, both input and output data can be measured in this FIS. Besides, all data sets being introduced into the models are measured in order to use ANFIS software design according to Sugeno. Subsequently, ANFIS software is used for second chain model. On the other hand, soil moisture account is not taken into consideration for other fuzzy models, FM I and FM II, with one phase and they are executed by the ANFIS software, because the remaining inputs and output are already obtained.When precipitation events with the same characteristics occur at different times, the classical models yield constant peak discharge, but FCMs estimate peak discharge differently, because they take into account the soil moisture variability. The reason for production of FCM II working with average rainfall is to demonstrate how the results change compared to FCM I. Contributions of each rainfall station are considered separately through the ANFIS software and the results are more accurate. Soil moisture percentages are calculated according to the average rainfall via Thiessen method.FCMs need three extra data sets (T, DB, and RP). The first chain Mamdani model is not considered, because usually detailed measurements are not available. Estimates are obtained by decreasing the data sets and entering the remaining data sets to ANFIS software. In this case, FM I and FM II peak discharge estimations appear as a constant because the soil moisture is not taken into consideration.In this thesis, the simplest forms of the hydrograph are obtained from the triangular flood hydrograph and the dimensionless unit hydrograph. For the construction of triangular hydrograph three time instances are important, namely, the precipitation (tpr), the peak flow (tpe) and recession limb (td) durations. While peak discharge is estimated by FCM and FM, the duration of rainfall and its amount are obtained by meteorological predictions, the remaining two durations (tpe and td) should be determined for hydrograph completion. During the training stage, tpe is related to tpr, and td to tpe through two constants, cpe and cd, as follows.tpe = tpr+cpe(1)td = tpe+cd(2)On the other hand, dimensionless unit hydrograph (DUH) developed by United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) provides a basis for generation of the hydrograph provided that the peak discharge and its time of occurrence are known. The following points are helpful for rational and logical rule deductions.The applications of the classical model and the proposed ones as two FMs and two FCMs are presented for the upper part of the Ayamama Basin, Istanbul. As mentioned before, 15 of the measured 23 events are used for training stage for parameter adjustment and model calibration, whereas the remaining 8 events are for testing (cross-validation).SCS-Curve Number (SCS-CN) and initial abstraction (IA) for SCS loss method, lag time to peak (tp) and peak discharge coefficient (cp) for the Snyder; totally 4 parameters are adjusted for the classical model through HEC-1 software coupled with the Watershed Modeling System (WMS) software.FCM I and FCM II have two phases. The soil moisture value must be digitized prior to estimation with ANFIS. Therefore, moisture values for each event are determined as percentages by Mamdani FIS. Relationships between three inputs (T, DB, and RP) and soil moisture have been considered rationally and logically for determination of the rules.For the first chain model, Soil Moisture values are determined with logical relationship considerations. Four inputs versus peak discharge are trained by ANFIS software in the FCM I and three inputs versus peak discharge in FCM II. Finally, FCMs are ready to estimate and then forecasts have been achieved as already.The estimation errors are calculated according to the well-known mean absolute error, (MAE).It is obvious that FCM I are capable of producing peak discharge estimation better than the others. Another way of comparison among the three methodologies is the scatter diagram, which shows the scatter of the measurement values versus model predictions. The significance of this graph is that 1:1 (45o) straight-line is the indicator of the perfect model estimations. The closer are the model scatter points to this straight-line the better is the model. The scatter of all the model results indicates clearly that the FCM I points have the closest positions to the 1:1 straight-line, and hence, FCM I model outperforms the others.The triangular flood hydrographs for 8 events are obtained with FCMs and FMs. For each event, observed and estimated hydrographs from five different models are compared visually on the same graph. In this way, a total of 8 cases are presented in Figures for the case of triangular hydrograph approach. FCM I hydrographs are closer to observation hydrograph.Another figure is for the dimensionless unit hydrograph based calculations, which shows the hydrographs in a better curvature form and again the FCM I results are far better than other methodology. The proposed FCM I methodology is useful especially in cases of soil moisture component incorporation.The availability of FCM bases is also shown with a different application. Some meteorological stations' measurements in Saudi Arabia the largest country of Arabian Peninsula will be used for Evapotranspiration (ET) estimations.A set equations are proposed by many researchers to calculate ET. ET calculation models use meteorological measurements as input variables, but others consider several inputs and produce ET values. Penman-Monteith (PM) method is the most sensitive one for all regions with many input parameters. Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are entering into the scene of ET estimation. Among the AI methods are fuzzy logic (FL), artificial neural networks (ANN), genetic algorithms (GA) and their derivatives with different input types for ET estimation.In this study, some stations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) are considered as two groups in three parts. Initially, ET is estimated by using two nearby stations data set for the third station in the same area. For this purpose, a regional chain flow chart is developed similar to FCM. The third station ET estimations are obtained by the suggested regional fuzzy model (RFM) based on the two stations' ET values that are calculated by PM equation, which produces the most accurate results of the ET estimation. Sugeno FL system inference principles are the bases of the proposed models. RFM and regional fuzzy chain model (RFCM) model results are compared with the PM calculations and they yield almost the same result within practically acceptable limits of error.From Saudi Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME), 6 meteorology stations are considered in this study. Each station has daily records, which are used for estimations. Herein, station groups are chosen at two different elevations, namely, at the mountainous and sea levels for testing the proposed model reliability. Aseer region Bisha, Abha and Khamis Mushait stations are on the mountainous region, whereas Ad-Dhahran, Al-Dammam and Al-Ahsaa stations in Ash-Sharqia region are approximately at the sea level. In this study, the data with the shortest length is considered for each part such as the 14-year (1999-2012) data for Ash-Sharqiya region and 35-year (1978-2012) for the Aseer region.The proposed methodology of this paper has three steps. In the first stage, PM (FAO-56) equation is used to calculate ET values. The next stage is practiced by many researchers and the classical model is based on the FL principles for ET estimations with four data types. Finally, in case of missing data at any station, RFM and RFCM approaches are proposed in the first stage for ET estimation by using the data from other stations in the same region.In this study, two alternative fuzzy models are proposed using ANFIS software, and hence, ET estimations are obtained. The classical fuzzy model (CFM) with four-input-one-output are explained and its application is performed for the data at hand.So far, researchers have estimated ET for any station by benefiting from its own data with the model based on fuzzy logic (FL) principles. This model is extremely useful and produces accurate results, if there is complete data set for the station. However, FL model is also for the cases where there is no or lack of data and thus uncertainty.Herein, two-input-one-output Sugeno model called RFM is set up to estimate ET because the third station's ET values are estimated with the other two stations' ET values. For RFCM, three stations are taken into consideration in the same region similar to RFM but RFCM has two steps. In order to estimate the third station ET values, first of all (first ring of chain), two-input-one-output Sugeno models are established and each parameter is obtained. For the second ring of RFCM, four-input-one-output Sugeno model is set up and the model is retrained.Data from two different regions of the KSA are used for PM and ET calculations by means of three FL inference system models two of which are suggested in this thesis.Ash-Sharqia region in the western part of the KSA has rather flat topography and the measurements from the 1999-2012 period measurements are used in the model development. Proposed ANFIS system modeling based models is used for calibration (training) data from 1999-2007 period for 9 years and the validation (testing) data from 2008-2012 period for 5 years. From the three meteorology stations, Ad-Dhahran station is selected for estimations. In Al-Aseer mountainous region in the southern KSA, the measurements are used from 1978-2012 periods. ANFIS model training and testing periods are 1978-1998 and 1999-2012 periods, respectively. In this region, Khamis Mushait meteorology station is selected for estimations.As a result, CFM approach uses the station data, and hence, fewer errors are expected at Ad-Dhahran and Khamis Mushait locations with 5% and 4% errors, respectively. If at any station in a region there is not enough data then from the two adjacent stations, the ET estimation can be achieved at the third station. RFM is comparatively simpler and its use is shown for the estimation of ET values at a missing data station from the two nearby station ET values. Practically acceptable errors for Ad-Dhahran and Khamis Mushait stations are 9.5% and 7.4%, respectively. Furthermore, by means of the RFCM estimations are improved by means of a chain wise model application. As a result, errors at the two locations are obtained as 9% and 7%, respectively. It is conclusive that RFCM results in smaller error percentages in the ET estimations. 138

Su yüzü profillerinin belirlenmesiyle ilgili olarak literatürde çok sayıda ampirik bağıntı veya modelleme teknikleri önerilmektedir. Bununla birlikte bu çalışmada açık kanallarda farklı hidrolik koşullar altında su yüzü profilinin belirlenmesi için literatürde henüz yeni bir yöntem olan SMRGT (Simple Membership Functions and Fuzzy Rules Generation Technique) kullanılarak bir model geliştirilmiştir. Daha önceki çalışmalara dayalı olarak, klasik bulanık modelleme tekniklerine göre daha kolay ve gerçekçi sonuçlar vermesi ve su yüzü profillerine ilk kez uygulanacak olması, bu modelleme tekniğinin tercih nedenlerindendir. Model, deneysel çalışmalarla elde edilen verilere uygulanarak test edilmiştir. Veri kümeleri eşik geometrisi, eşik yüksekliği, eşik tepe noktasına olan mesafe olmak üzere üç bağımsız değişkenden oluşmaktadır. Model sonuçları, deneysel olarak elde edilen verilerle karşılaştırılmış olup karşılaştırma sonucunda yöntemin oldukça başarılı olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Bu amaçla tezin Giriş bölümünde konunun kapsam ve önemi belirtilmiş, ikinci bölümde ise konu üzerinde bu güne değin yapılmış olan çalışmalar tartışılmıştır. üçüncü bölümünde, çalışmada kullanılan veriler ve bu verilerin elde edildiği deneysel çalışmanın mekanizması sunulmuş ve yöntem geliştirme esaslarından söz edilerek SMRGT yöntemine detaylı bir şekilde yer verilmiştir. Bulanık SMRGT modelinin geliştirilmesi, elde edilen model sonuçları ve bu sonuçların gerçek verilerle karşılaştırılması dördüncü bölümde verilmiştir. There are many published studies propose several empiric formulations or model techniques in the current literature. In this study, a fuzzy model depends on the SMRGT method (Simple Membership Functions and Fuzzy Rules Generation Technique) which is a new method in the literature has been developed to determine the water surface profile in open canal under different hydraulic conditions. The reasons for choosing this model are giving more realistic results and simpler than the other conventional methods available in the current literature. The model was tested applying to experimentally obtained data sets; include the geometry of the floor sill, the floor sill height, and the distinct from the top of the floor sill, which are the inputs of the model as the independent variables. The model's results were compared with the real data experimentally obtained. The comparison shows that the model has very high performance in estimating the water surface profile in open canals.For the aim, in the introduction section of the thesis, the goal and the importance of the subject were given, and the literature review has been reported in the second section. In the third section , the data used to test the model and the experimental works were explained, andthe methodology has been presented in detail. The development of the model, the model results, and the comparison have been detailed in the fourth section. In the last chapter, the important results and some recommendations were discussed and concluded. 75

The speed-traffic flow density interdependence diagram has a number of variations, starting with the theoretical model, through various empirical models that were developed and models based on actual research done on traffic flow. The functional interdependence is obtained using the Sugeno fuzzy logic system, where representative values proposed in HCM 2010 have been adopted as parameters of output association functions. Subsequently the neural network is trained based on actual traffic flow data, which by adjusting the association function of the fuzzy logic system yields an output form of the basic traffic flow diagram. It was noticed that this hybrid expert system produces better output results by applying the “subtractive clustering“ method on data that are used for training a neural network. Finally, the model was tested on several input data groups, and the interdependence between speed and traffic flow density is shown in graphical form.

Günümüzde robotlar birçok alanda kullanılmaktadır. Bu sistemler üzerinde karmaşıkgörevler üretmek çeşitli problemler ihtiva etmektedir. Bunlardan biri robotun hempara ve zaman kaybına hem de eğer insanla etkileşim varsa insanın yaralanmasınasebep olabilen robot uzuvlarının birbirine çarpması problemidir. Bu tezde bu sorununüstesinden gelebilmek için robotun uzuvlarının kendi kendine çarpmasını engellemekiçin çarpışma tespit sistemleri geliştirildi ve karşılaştırıldı.Bu çalışma, insansı bir robotu işaret dili eğitimi asistanı olarak kullanmayı amaçlayan`Türk İşaret Dili Eğitmeni` araştırma projesinin bir parçasıdır. Projede amaç Türk İşaret Dili'nden seçilmiş bazı kelimeleri tanıyan ve gerçekleyen robotun kullanılarakyardımcı ve sosyal bir robotik sistem geliştirmektir. Proje kapsamında bir oyuntasarlanmış ve geliştirilmiştir. Bu oyunda çocuk Türk İşaret Dili'nden bir kelimeyitanımlayan kartı robota gösterir, robot gözünde bulunan kamera yardımı ile kartüzerindeki kelimeyi algılar ve kelimeyi işaret dilinde gerçekler. Robot hareketinibitirdikten sonra aynı kelimeye ait hareket çocuk tarafından tekrar edilir. Robotçocuğun yaptığı hareketi tanır ve hareket iyi yapılmışsa olumlu aksi takdirde olumsuzgeri bildirimde bulunur. Robotta işaretler üretilirken robotun güvenliği ile ilgiliproblemler meydana gelebilir. Çünkü projede kullanılan robota ait bir çarpışmatespit sistemi bulunmamaktadır. Tez kapsamında geliştirilen çarpışma tespit sistemleribahsedilen robot üzerinde kullanılmak için tasarlanmıştır. Tezde robot için çarpışmatespit sistemi geliştirebilmenin yanı sıra, var olan bir çarpışma tespit sisteminin yapaysinir ağları ve bulanık yöntemler kullanılarak taklit edilip edilemeyeceği ve robotunuzuvları arasındaki mesafeler kullanılarak bir çarpışma tespit sisteminin gerçeklenipgerçeklenmeyeceği sorgulanmaktadır.Bu tezde sinirsel-bulanık sistemler ve yapay sinir ağları kullanılmıştır. Sinirsel-bulanıksistemler bulanık mantık ve yapay sinir ağlarının birlikte kullanılması ile elde edilensistemlerdir. Biyolojik sinir ağları birbirleri ile sinaps adı verilen bağlantılar ile haberleşirler. Eğer bir nörondaki sinyal belirli bir gücü aşarsa sinaps ile bağlı olan diğer nöronlara da sinyal iletilir. Yapay sinir ağlarında ise sinapslardaki aktivasyonsistemi transfer fonksiyonu ile sağlanır. Yapay sinir ağları, insan vucudunda bulunansinir ağları ve beynin bilgi işleme kapasitesinden esinlenilerek tasarlanmış olup ,bir çok uygulama alanında kullanılmaktadır. Klasik mantık sistemleri sadece belirlikoşullarda oluşan, kesin doğruluk değerleri `doğru` ya da `yanlış` olan önermelerleilgilenirler. Bir örnek ile açıklayacak olursak; diyelim ki bir odanın sıcaklığını klasik mantık kullanarak sıcak veya soğuk olarak ifade edelim. 23 dereceden yükseksıcaklıklar sıcak, düşük sıcaklıklar soğuk olarak tanımlansın. Bu durumda 22 derecesoğuk, 24 derece ise sıcak olarak tanımlanacaktır. Bu tanımlamada görüleceği üzerebahsedilen sıcaklık değerleri birbirine yakın olmasına rağmen farklı değer kümelerineatanmışlardır. 0 derece ve 22 derece değerlerini ele alacak olursak bu durumda her iki değerinde soğuk olarak tanımlanacağını görürüz. Fakat her iki sıcaklık arasındasoğukluk açısından ciddi fark vardır. Eğer sıcaklık ve soğukluk kavramlarını bulanıkmantığın getirdiği bulanık kümeler ile ifade edersek bu problemler ortadan kalkmışolur. Çünkü oluşturulan bulanık kümelerin değerleri sıfır ile bir arasında süreklideğerler alacağından havanın ne kadar sıcak olduğuna dair yorumda bulunmamamızaimkan sağlar. Yapay sinir ağları veri üzerinden öğrenme imkanı sağlar, bulanık mantık ise insan tarafından anlaşılabilen kurallar ile işlem yapması yönünden iyi imkansağlar. Bu iki farklı yöntem birlikte kullanıldığında her iki yöntemin avantajlarındanda yararlanılabilir.Yapılan çalışma iki kısma ayrılabilir. İlk kısımda, var olan bir çarpışma tespit sistemiüzerinde döngü içerisinde bir açı değeri belirlenen bir değer kadar artırılarak ve geri kalan açılar sabit tutularak belirli bir çözünürlük ile olası açı kombinasyonlarındaçarpışma meydana gelip gelmeyeceği test edilerek veri seti oluşturuldu.oluşturulan bir veri seti üzerinde sinirsel-bulanık bir yöntem kullanılarak bir sistemeğitildi. Eğitilen sistemin performansı yeterli bulunmadığından dolayı, meydanagelebilecek çarpışma tipleri olan sol kol- gövde çarpışması, sağ kol - gövde çarpışmasıve sol kol - sağ kol çarpışmaları için üç adet farklı veri seti oluşturulmuş ve her bir veriseti için bir sinirsel - bulanık sistem oluşturulmuş ve bu sistemlerin çıktısı birleştirilereksonuç elde edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sol kol - gövde veri seti için oluşturululan veri setinegirdi olarak sol kolda bulunan dört açı seçilmiştir. Sağ kol - gövde çarpışmaları içinsağ kolda bulunan dört eklem açısı girdi olarak seçilmiştir. Kolların birbiri ile arasındameydana gelen çarpışmaları tespit etmek için ise her iki kolda bulunan dörder adet açı,toplamda sekiz adet açı girdi olarak kullanılmıştır. Üçüncü yaklaşımda ise oluşturulanüç veri seti tipik ileri beslemeli yapay sinir ağları kullanılarak eğitilmiş ve ikinciyönteme benzer şekilde sonuçlar birleştirilmiştir. Bu yaklaşımda ise yine benzer ikinciyaklaşıma benzer şekilde sol kol - gövde çarpışmalarını tespit etmek için oluşturulanyapay sinir ağında sol kolda bulunan dört adet eklem açısı girdi olarak verilmiştir. Sağ kol - gövde çarpışmalarını tespit etmek için oluşturulan yapay sinir ağına da sağ koldabulunan dört adet eklem açısı girdi olarak verilmiştir. Kollar arasındaki çarpışmalarıtespit etmek için oluşturulan yapay sinir ağına her iki kolda bulunan dörder adet eklemaçısı, toplamda sekiz adet açı girdi olarak verilmiştir. Oluşturulan tüm yapay sinirağları toplamda üç katmanlı olup, çıktı katmanında hareketin güvenli veya güvensizolduğunu belirten iki adet çıkış düğümü bulunmaktadır.Ilk aşamada Bir robotun uzuvları bilindiği üzere birbirine prizmatik veya döner eklemlerle bağlıdır.Robot üreticisi tarafından eklem bilgilerinin bulunduğu bir dosya paylaşılmıştır.uzuv arasındaki ilişki homojen dönüşüm matrisleri ile hesaplanabilir.İleri kinematikbir uzvun robotun sıfır pozisyonuna göre konumunu hesaplamak için kullanılır.İkincikısımda ise ilk kısımdaki veri setlerindeki açı değerleri kullanılarak, ileri kinematikhesabı ile bu açı kombinasyonlarındaki eklem pozisyonları hesaplandı. Robotunuzuvları hesaplanan eklem pozisyonları kullanılarak doğru parçaları şeklinde ifadeedilerek bu parçalar arasındaki mesafeler yapay sinir ağlarına girdi olarak verilereksistem eğitimi yapıldı. Kollar için üst kısımlar ve alt kısımlar doğru parçası olarakifade edilmiştir ve bu uzuvların birbirlerine ve gövdeye olan uzaklıkları hesaplanmıştır.Geliştirilen çarpışma tespit sistemleri rastgele üretilen açı kombinasyonları üzerindetest edildi. Yapılan testler sonucunda ikinci ve üçüncü yaklaşımın sonuçları diğeryaklaşımlara göre daha iyi ve birbirine yakın çıkmıştır.İkinci yöntemin sonuçları üçüncü yönteme yakın olmakla birlikte yanlış doğru oranı bu yöntemde üçüncü yönteme göre daha kötü olup, her 7 tane çarpışmaya sebep olan hareketten birinigüvenli olarak tespit etmektedir. Bu yüzden üçüncü yöntemin diğer yöntemlere göredaha iyi olduğu söylenebilir. Son yaklaşımın basari oranı %86 civarında çıkmış olup,ileride daha karmaşık geometrik modeller kullanılarak bu yöntemin geliştirilebileceğidüşünülmektedir. Robots are widely used in many domains. Creating complex tasks in these systemsinvolves many problems. One of them is the self damage of the robot which may resultin loss of money and time, and human injuries if robot interacts with a human. Inthis thesis to overcome this problem self collision detection systems are developed andcompared.This work is part of the research project `Turkish Sign Language Tutoring` which aimsto use a humanoid robot as sign language tutoring assistant. In this project, the aim is toproduce an assistive and social robotic system, where the robot is able to recognize andgenerate a predefined subset of words in Turkish Sign Language. The robot has to useits arms, and hands, fingers and upper torso to generate these words. During generationof the signs on the robot, problems may occur about robot safety. Because, robotused in the project has no collision detection system. Developed collision systems aredesigned for use in this robot.The work done in thesis can be divided into two parts. In the first part, a collisiondetection system is mimicked. By using a robot simulation environment which hascollision detection system, in different angle combinations it is checked whether acollision occurs or not, a collision dataset is created. Therefore problem is translatedinto classification problem. In the final step to classify the angle combinations, systemis trained by using neural networks and neuro-fuzzy system. In the first part threeapproaches are developed. First one is to training all data set by using neuro-fuzzysystem, second one is dividing the dataset into smaller parts according to collisiontypes and training the system with these smaller datasets, third and the last one istraining the same datasets in second appoach by using typical feed-forward neuralnetworks instead of neuro-fuzzy system. In the second part, positions of the robotlinks, and distances between body parts of robot are calculated. A neural network istrained by using distance values between body parts.Developed collision detection systems are tested on a randomly generated dataset.Results are presented individually and comparatively. 65

Bilgi işlem teknolojileri son yıllarda önemli gelişmeler göstermektedir. Özellikle veri kaydetme ve işleme alanındaki gelişmeler gelecekte verilerin nasıl kullanılacağı konusunda da yol haritasını şekillendirmektedir. Günümüzde adı sıkça duyulan Nesnelerin İnterneti devrimi ile herhangi bir alanda elde edilebilecek verilerin miktarı ve içeriği önemli ölçüde değişecektir. Bu devrim farklı ülkelerde farklı adlar ile de anılmaktadır. Almanya'da Endüstri 4.0, Fransa ve İtalya'da Geleceğin Fabrikası, İngiltere'de ise Mancınık olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Temel içerik aynıdır. Bu devrimlerin sonucu olarak karşılaşılacak veri miktarındaki patlama ile veri işlemenin gerekliliği daha da belirgin şekilde hissedilecektir. Bahsedilen alanların başlıca uygulamaları ise yönetim, pazarlama, risk yönetimi, süreç kontrol gibi dallarda karşılık bulmaktadır. Bahsedilenler iyi tahminlemenin gerektiği alanlardan sadece bazılarıdır.Tahminlemeyi sağlayan başlıca yapı olan tahminleme modeli, daima ilgilenilen alanın gelecekteki değerlerini en iyi şekilde tahmin etmeye çalışmaktadır. Literatürde tahminleme modelleri üzerine birçok çalışma bulunmaktadır. Tahminleme modellerin başlıcaları durağan gürültüleri modellemek için önerilen Otoregresif hareketli ortalamalar modeli (ARMA) ve durağan olmayan gürültüleri modellemek için önerilen Otoregresif bütünleşik hareketli ortalamalar modelidir (ARIMA). En çok kullanılan yöntemler bunlar olmakla birlikte karmaşık olayları modellemek için önerilen doğrusal olmayan modeller de bulunmaktadır. Tüm bu modellerin temel amacı ise hatasız modelleme sağlayabilmektir. Bu beklenti genelde boş çıkmaktadır çünkü mükemmel model diye bir karşılık neredeyse imkânsızdır. Bu durumu ifade etmek için ise hata tanımı yapılmıştır. Hata, tahmin değeri ile gerçek değer arasındaki farkın karşılığıdır. Genelde iyi bir tahminlemenin yanında sağlanacak olan hata bandı tahmini son kullanıcı için oldukça önemlidir. Tanımlanan hata bantları aynı zamanda tahminlemenin, tahminleme yapılan zamanda ne kadar hata yapılabileceği ifade etmektedir. Hata bantların içinde en yaygın kullanıma sahip olan iki yapı Güven Aralığı ve Kestirim Aralığı'dır.Güven Aralığı, kestirimlerin parametrik doğruluğu konusunda çıkarımların yapılmasını sağlarken Kestirim Aralığı ise kestirimlerin hedef değerler ile karşılaştırılarak tutarlılıkları konusunda çıkarımlar yapmaktadır. Bu kapsamda Kestirim Aralığı ve Güven Aralığı, tanımlanan güven seviyesi (confidence level) doğrultusunda gelecek tahminleri etrafına onları çevreleyecek bir aralık değeri üretmektedir. PI, karar verici kişi veya sistemlere tanımlanan güven seviyesi doğrultusunda tahminlerin değerlendirme imkânı sunar. Teoride geniş Kestirim Aralığı, çalışılan sistemin gelecek tahminlerinin yüksek belirsizlik belirttiğini ifade etmektedir. Diğer taraftan dar Kestirim Aralıkları karar verici sisteme gelecek tahminlerin oldukça güven içinde yapıldığını ve belirsizliklerin olmadığını ifade etmektedir. Üretilen bu bantlar karar verici sistemin gereksiz riskli hareketlerden kaçınmasını sağlayarak, belirsizlik içeren durumlarda karar verici sisteme yardımcı olur. Kestirim Aralığı tahminlemeler için hayati olduğu düşünüldüğünde bu konu üzerinde birçok çalışma yapılması gerektiği ve yapıldığı fark edilebilir. Literatürde Kestirim Aralığı bandı üretimi konusunda birçok çalışma vardır bunlardan başlıcaları ise Bayes tekniği, bootstrap, ortalama-varyans kestirimi, alt ve üst bant kestirim metodudur. Kestirim aralığının başlıca sorunlarından biri ise simetrik olarak olmasını sağlayacak tek bir değerin üretilmesi tahminlemenin etrafına artı ve eksi olmak üzere ilave edilmesidir. Birçok durumda tahminlemenin gerçekleşenden fazla olarak devam etmesi (üstte kalma) ve tam tersi (altta kalma) durum uzun süreçler boyunca devam etmektedir. Bu durumda simetrik bantların fayda sağlayıp sağlamadığı tartışmalara açık bir konudur.Bu tez kapsamında, tahminleme hataları ve belirsizlikleri ifade etmede bahsedilen hata bantlarından yeni ve alternatif bir yöntem önerilmektedir. Önerilen yapı Üçgen Bulanık Sayılar aracılığıyla bulanık mantık tabanlı alt ve üst bant kestirici ile bulanık dilsel terimlerin üretilmesi ve ifade edilmesidir. Farkedileceği üzere önerilen yapı temel olarak Bulanık Mantık üzerine kurulmaktadır. Bulanık mantık tabanlı sistemler kontrol, robotik, görüntü işleme, karar verme, tahmin, modelleme gibi birçok farklı mühendislik uygulanasında başarıyla uygulanmıştır. Bulanık Mantık uygulamaları sunulan alanlar içinde özellikle belirsizlik modelleme özelliği ile öne çıkmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda, karar verici sistemleri desteklemek ve belirsizlikleri daha uygun bir şekilde modellemek adına, 2 farklı dilsel terim üretim yaklaşımı bu tez kapsamında sunulacaktır. Sunulan yaklaşım ile tahminlemeler ve onlar için üretilmiş Bulanık Üçgen Sayılar aracılığıyla kazandıkları bulanık dilsel terimler ve aitlik dereceleri aracılığıyla, tahminleme doğrulukları daha efektif bir şekilde değerlendirilebilmektedir. Önerilen iki yapıda temelde Kestirim Aralığı ile aynı işlevde olan FLUBE'u kullanmaktadır. Bunun yanında Bulanık Üçgen Sayıları üretecek olan kısımda ise ekstradan bir modelleme ile temel sunu olan dilsel terimlerin üretilmesi ve ifadesi ve bu versiyonun geliştirilmiş halidir.Tez içeriksel olarak öncelikle zaman serileri konsepti ve bunların analizine değinmektedir. Analiz yöntemleri, tahminlemenin temelleri ile birlikte aktarılmaktadır. Günlük hayatta da sıklıkla kullandığımız zaman serisi kavramı, tahminlemenin de temelini oluşturmaktadır. Kavramlarda bu doğrultuda verilmektedir. Zaman serilerinin analizi ise tahminlemenin temelini oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle durağanlık kavramının önemi üzerinde durularak bir sonraki aşama olan modelleme kısmına nasıl geçilebileceği konusunda fikirler de bu giriş bölümünde verilmektedir. Tahminleme esas önemli kısım olan modelleme yöntemleri de bu kavramlarla birlikte ilk bölümlerde anlatılmaktadır. Modelleme yöntemleri literatürde oldukça geniş olarak işlenmesine karşın tez kapsamında ve literatürde en çok kullanılan yöntemlerin aktarılması amaçlanmıştır.İkincil olarak ise tahminleme ve bağlı alanlarda sıklıkla kullanılan hata tanımları üzerinde durulmaktadır. Hata tanımlamaları bir tahminlerme yöntemini değerlendirmede en önemli birim olmakla beraber birçok çeşidi bulunmaktadır. Bunların arasından kullanımı en yaygın ve güncel yöntemlerin literatürdeki karşılıkları bu bölümde aktarılmaktadır. Hata değerlendirmelerinin yanında tezinde başlıca kapsamında bulunan hata bantları hakkında bilgilendirme ve özellikle Kestirim Aralığı hakkındaki literatür özeti takip eden başlığında yapılmaktadır. Devam edene başlıklarda ise yine sunulan yöntemin gelişmesinde vaşlıca etken olan kavramlar aktarılmaya devam etmektedir. Bulanık mantık bunlardan bir diğeri olmakla beraber tezin gelişimindeki her aşamasında katkısı görülmektedir. Bulanık mantık 1965 yılında önerilmiş ve özellikle belirsizlikleri modellemede oldukça etkili olan matematiksel bir araçtır. 1965'ten günümüze kullanımı oldukça yaygınlaşan bu araç günümüzde özellikle dil ve kelime işleme gibi insan-makine etkilişimindeki belirsizlikleri modellemede kullanılmaktadır. Tez kapsamında yine belirsizlik modelleme özelliği kullanılacak olan Bulanık Mantık, aynı zamanda dilsel terim karşılığı üretmede de yardımcı olacaktır. Önerilen yapıların oluşturulmasında katkıda bulunan bir diğer kavram olan Bulanık Zaman Serileri ise belirsizlikleri ifade etmede zaman serilerini kullanmaktadır. Bu yaklaşım ile zaman serilerinin Bulanık Üçgen Sayıları ile veya farklı dilsel terimler ile de ifade edilebileceği keşfedilebilmektedir. Bulanık modelleme teknikleri ise özellikle belirsizliklerin modellenmesi önemli bir araç olarak tez kapsamında kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda iki adet bulanık modelleme tekniği aktarılmaktadır. Tüm bu ön kavramların devamında ise önerilen yöntem olan bulanık mantık tabanlı alt ve üst bant kestirici ve bulanık mantık tabanlı alt ve üst bant kestirici yardımıyla dilsel terim üreteci olarak kullanılan yaklaşımları en son bölümde aktarılmadır.Son olarak ise sunulan yöntemlerin görsel olarak da gösteriminin sağlandığı deneysel çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Deneysel çalışmalar için farklı veri setleri kullanılmıştır. Sunulan yöntemler, klasik Kestirim Aralığı ile karşılaştırmalı olarak farklı veri setleri üzerine uygulanmıştır. Kestirim Aralığı karşılaştırmasında önerilen yapının ilk kısmı ile karşılaştırma söz konusudur. Bulanık mantık tabanlı alt ve üst bant kestirici hataları modelleyerek Kestirim Aralığının sunduğu bilgiye alternatif olmayı amaçlamakta ve sağlamaktadır. Bunun yanında karar verici sistemlerin dilsel olarak tahminlerini ve aynı zamanda hata bantlarını değerlendirebileceği dilsel terim üreticilerinin çıktıları olan Bulanık Üçgen Sayılar aracılığıyla tahminleme hakkında çıkarımlar yapılabilmektedir. Burada Bulanık Üçgen Sayıların aitlik değerlerinin ortalamaların bir çıkarım olarak kullanılabileceği görülmektedir. Sunulan yöntemlerin tasarı adımları bu bölümden de sırasıyla takip edilebilir. Tez kapsamında sunulan yapılar aracılığıyla özellikle tahminleme yönteminden bağımsız olarak sadece hataları modelleme üzerine sunulan yöntem ile hataların doğrusal olmayan modelleme tekniği olan bulanık mantık araçları ile modellenmiştir. Modellenen hatalar klasik Güven Aralığının aksine simetrik değilken daha da dar olması sebebiyle karşılaştırma dahilinde klasik Kestirim Aralığına üstünlük kurabilmektedir. Önerilen yapının dilsel terim üretme araçları sayesinde ise son kullanıcıların gerçekleşen veriler aracılığıyla üretilen hata bantlarının kalitesini inceleyebilecekleri, klasik Kestirim Aralığının değerlendirme yöntemi olan içeride dışarıda (0-1) değerlendirmesi aksine yeni bir değerlendirme yöntemi sunulmuştur. Bulanık üçgen sayılar ile ifade edilen yeni aralıklar sayesinde tahminlemeler birer aitlik değerine sahip olurken, bunların toplu olarak değerlendirilmesi sonucunda tahminleme ve hata bantları birbiri ile aitlik değerleri bağlantısıyla tahminlemenin kalitesi konusunda son kullanıcıya bilgilendirme yapabilmektedir. Information technologies have many improvements about data storage and its usage in the last decades and it will have more according to technological breakthroughs. Data storage and data obtaining will be much easier than now after the Internet of Things revolution. This revolution can call as differently according to governed country. It named as Industry 4.0 in Germany, the Factory of the Future in France and Italy and Catapult in United Kingdom. The data explosion will also make the data analysis techniques especially in forecasting more important. A forecast is a prediction of some future things or events. Forecasting is an important problem that link many fields such as economics, industry, environmental sciences and much more. Most of usage, the forecasting involves from the time series data. Many applications of forecasting about the business exploit daily, weekly, monthly or any defined interval of the data. These applications can be listed in the areas such as operations management, marketing, finance and risk management, economics, industrial process control and, demography. These are only a few where forecast is required to make good decisions.The forecast model always aims to represent best estimate of the future value of the variable of interest. As it might be expected, these forecasts are not always accurate. Therefore, there is a definition between estimated and real data values named as forecast error. Eventually, it is a good practice to accompany a forecast with an estimate of the error bounds to represent the interval about how large a forecast error might be expected. Prediction Interval (PI) and Confidence Interval (CI) are the most used ones for representing the errors.The CIs handle with the accuracy of the prediction of the regression while the PIs consider the accuracy with the prediction to the targets values. A PI is constructed from interval bound that covers the future unknown value with a prescribed probability called a confidence level. The availability of PIs allows the decision makers to quantify the level of uncertainty associated with the point forecasts. A relatively wide PI indicates the presence of high level of uncertainties in the underlying system operation. On the other hand, narrow PIs give the decision makers the opportunity to decide more confidently with less chance of confronting an unexpected condition in the future. This useful information can guide the decision makers to avoid the selection of risky actions under uncertain conditions. Thus, the construction of PIs has been a subject of much attention. Thus, different methods haven been proposed for the construction of PIs such as delta technique, Bayesian technique, bootstrap, mean-variance estimation, lower and upper bound estimation method.In this thesis, alternative approach to the error bounds will be represent. Fuzzy linguistic term generation and representation via Fuzzy Logic based Lower and Upper Bound Estimator (FLUBE) based Triangular Fuzzy Number (TFN) is presented to estimate the uncertainty in the forecast. As it can be noticed via the titles, the thesis mainly based on the fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic has been successfully implemented in various engineering areas including control, robotics, image processing, decision-making, estimation and modelling. Therefore, the proposed representation includes two different methodologies which will give the opportunity to the decision maker to quantify the uncertainty of the point forecasts with linguistic terms which might increase the interpretability. Moreover, the proposed approaches will provide valuable information about the accuracy of the forecast by providing a relative membership degree with respect to the target data. The proposed approaches consist of two main phases, the offline FLUBE design and the online TFN generation part as Linguistic Generation and Representation Approach (LinGRA) and Enhanced Linguistic Generation and Representation Approach (ElinGRA).In the context of the thesis, firstly, the time series concept and its analysis methodologies are discussed in addition to the basic information of the forecasting. Time series concept is also a basis of forecasting especially in our daily life's events. Therefore, the components and characteristics of the time series are handled to be a light for the time series analysis. The modelling techniques is the key factor of the forecasting models and the error evaluations of the forecasts. They are handled as concisely to give information as much as needed. Secondly, the error terms obtained from the real data values and the forecast models' outputs are modelled via the fuzzy modelling approach. Thanks to both fuzzy model, the error bounds can shape as nonlinear and nonsymmetrical conversely the classical erro bounds like PI. Furthermore, the forecasting error bounds, fuzzy logic systems, fuzzy time series and fuzzy modelling approaches are introduced as the basis of the proposed linguistic term generation approaches. The methodologies have differences on the determination of the linguistic terms phase that also illustrated as comparatively.Finally, the linguistic forecast generation approaches are used on the several data sets in comparison with conventional PI bounds to prove the efficiency. The methodologies can also follow at the part named as experimental results.Thanks to the membership degree of the proposed linguistic terms, the error evaluation of the forecast can be done with fuzzy numbers. Rather than the classical PIs, the proposed bounds utilize the realized value of the project not only bound-in or out consideration but also grading the forecast via the triangular fuzzy numbers. Bu çalışmanın amacı kuruluşa özel, işletme maliyeti en az seviyeye indirilerek kuruluşun ihtiyacına yönelik yeni özelliklerin uzman bir ekip tarafından kolayca eklenebilmesini sağlayan, kuruluşun ihtiyaçlarını tam olarak karşılayan ve mevcut öğrenme yönetim sistemiyle uyumlu, kullanıcı dostu, yani kullanıcılar tarafından kullanımı kolay olan web tabanlı çevirimiçi sınav sistemi geliştirmektir. Geliştirilen sistem esnek yapıda olup, oluşabilecek problemlere aktif ve hızlı şekilde müdahale edilebilmektedir. Kullanıcıların daha sonra oluşacak ihtiyaçlarına göre sisteme kolaylıkla yeni özellikler eklenebilmekte ve bu süreç kuruluşu bir nevi tüketici konumundan üretici konumuna geçirmektedir. Thus, technological innovations that became widespread in political, economic, institutional and cultural fields are also being widespread in the educational field. Until recently the existing technical shortcomings, the problems of real-time operation of systems, the difficulty and expensiveness of providing the necessary system were making it almost impossible to apply these technological innovations to education and examination systems. At the present day, studying in various schools and courses in order to fulfill the needs of life, improve ourselves and our lives is essential for us. Eventually, exams are administered in various ways to measure people's level of education, practical and theoretical knowledge and abilities. In the traditional education system, trainers and learners should adapt to each other in terms of time and venue and they have to fit in the same place at the same time. This particularly leaves learners in the lurch in their personal life and force them education priority scheduling. Despite this situation, it makes impossible to receive training for working people and people with disabilities and also makes it difficult for learners to develop themselves. Web-based learning and online examination systems are able to deliver the required web content to the user on all devices with web browsers such as desktop computers, tablet computers, and even some televisions. Because of high sales and maintenance fees, deficiency of existing properties on fulfilling the needs of the institution, inability of adding new features of commercial systems make it disadvantageous to use them. In the open source systems, obligations for the institution to pay to the developer company for eliminating the problems that may occur in using process, insufficiency of technical documentation and difficulties on developing software for these reasons, these systems are also not preferred. The goal of our work is to develop an institution-specific, user-friendly web-based online examination system that minimizes operating costs, allows the institution to add new features easily by expert teams, meets the needs of the institution, integrates the current learning management system. We have developed our application in accordance with the requirements of the Distance Learning Center of Kırıkkale University using the contemporary software (Asp.NET MVC5, Angular JS, Bootstrap, Microsoft SQL Server 2014) techniques.

Sürekli Mıknatıslı Senkron Motor (SMSM)'da oluşan elektrik kayıplarının minimum düzeye indirilmesi temelinde yapılan bu çalışmada, öncelikle SMSM'da oluşan elektriksel kayıpların tespiti, analizi ve azaltma yöntemleri üzerine araştırmalar yapılmıştır. Yapılan araştırmalarda, kayıp kontrolü ve analizi için en önemli bileşen olan ve rotor hızı ve dolayısıyla frekans ile dinamik olarak değişen demir çekirdek direncinin tespit edilmesindeki büyük güçlükler belirlenmiş ve bu zorlukları aşabilmek için yeni ve uygulanabilir bir yöntem önerilmiştir. Bu bağlamda SMSM'da kayıp kontrol algoritmaları oluşturmanın temel taşı olan demir çekirdek direnci, Sonlu Elemanlar Yöntemi (SEY) ve akıllı sistemlerin birlikte kullanılmasıyla oldukça başarılı bir şekilde hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen dinamik demir çekirdek direncinin etkisini araştırmak amacıyla demir çekirdek direncinin ihmal edildiği kayıpsız model ile demir çekirdek direncinin dinamik olarak alındığı model arasında karşılaştırma yapılmıştır. Ardından demir çekirdek direncinin sabit alınması durumunda oluşabilecek hatayı belirlemek için dinamik ve sabit demir çekirdek dirençlerinin etkisi karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu karşılaştırmalar ışığında demir çekirdek direncinin dinamik olarak alınmaması durumunda yanıltıcı sonuçlar elde edildiği gösterilmiştir. Kayıp azaltma uygulamalarındaki dinamik direncin öneminin belirlenmesinin ardından dinamik direncin eklenmesi ile oluşturulan SMSM kayıp modeli üzerinde detaylı kayıp azaltma algoritmaları uygulanmıştır. Bu bağlamda ilk aşamada, elde edilen modele Amper Başına Maksimum Moment (Maksimum Tork Per Ampere (MTPA)) ve Alan Zayıflatma (Field Weakening (FW)) kontrol yöntemlerinin birleşimi olan analitik kayıp azaltma yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Analitik yöntemin sunduğu başarının tespit edilmesinin ardından tasarlanan Sinirsel-Bulanık (Neuro-Fuzzy) ve Sinir Ağı (Neural Network) temelli akıllı kayıp azaltma yöntemleri analitik yöntemlere alternatif olarak motor modeline uygulanmış ve elde edilen tüm sonuçlar irdelenmiştir. In this study, which is on the basis of the minimizing methods of the electrical losses of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), primarily a research ran through detection, analysis and minimizing methods about electrical losses at PMSM. As a result to this research, the major problems on determination iron core resistance, which is the most important component for the analysis at loss control procedures, are identified, so a new and practical method to overcome these difficulties have been proposed. and proposed new methods of these processes. In this context, the iron core resistance, which is the basis for creating lost control algorithms in PMSM, calculated quite successfully using the combination of the Finite Element Method (FEM) and intelligent systems. To investigate the effect of the dynamic iron core resistance, a comparison made between the lossless PMSM model, in which the core resistance neglected, and the model with dynamic core resistance. Then, to determine the errors that may occur when taking iron core resistance fixed, models with dynamic and fixed iron core resistance were compared. As a result of this comparisons, it has shown that misleading results will be obtained if the variation of the dynamic iron core resistance is ignored.After establishing the importance of the dynamic core resistance in loss minimization applications, detailed loss minimization algorithms have been applied to created SMSM loss model which contains the dynamic core resistance. In this context, at first an analytical loss minimization method, which is a combination of Maximum Torque Per Ampere (MTPA) and Field Weakening (FW) control methods, was applied to the PMSM loss model. Finally, intelligent loss control algorithms that designed based on Neuro-Fuzzy and Neural Network systems applied to the PMSM loss model as two alternative loss minimization methods. Köprü, baraj gibi birçok su yapısının tasarım ve işletilmesi sırasında karşılaşılan olumsuz etkilerinden dolayı, nehirlerdeki askı maddesi miktarının doğru tahmin edilmesi oldukça önemlidir. Akarsular su hareketi esnasında beraberinde katı maddeleri de taşır. Bu katı maddeler akarsu havzasındaki erozyon veya akarsu yatağındaki aşınmalardan kaynaklanır. Akarsu boyunca, katı madde hareketleri sonucu akarsu yatağında oyulma ve yığılmalar meydana gelir. Bu oyulmalar ve yığılmalar sonucu akarsuyun yatak şeklinin ve morfolojik yapısının değişmesi beklenir. Bu problemlerin çözümü için katı madde tahminlerine ihtiyaç duyulur.Bu çalışmada, Bulanık Mantık (BM) ve Katı Madde Anahtar Eğrisi (KMAE), Çoklu Lineer Regresyon (ÇLR) gibi istatistiksel yaklaşımlar nehirdeki günlük debi ve su sıcaklığından günlük askı maddesi tahmini için kullanılmıştır. Günlük veriler Amerika'daki Skunk Nehri Augusta istasyonunda Amerikan Jeolojik Araştırma Merkezi tarafından ölçülmüştür. Bu yaklaşımlar ortalama karesel hata (OKH), ortalama mutlak hata (OMH) ve korelasyon katsayısı (R) olmak üzere kendi içinde 3 istatistiksel kritere göre karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu kriterler yaklaşımların performansını değerlendirmek için kullanılmıştır. Estimating the amount of suspended sediment in rivers correctly is very important due to the adverse impacts encountered during the design and maintenance of hydraulic structures such as dam, bridge. In rivers, suspended sediments are also transported with water during water movement. These sediments are consisted by either erosion in river basin or by abrasion in stream bed. Throughout stream (river), scouring and accumulation in stream bed occur as a result of sediment movements. As a result of these scouring and accumulation, the shape of the river bed and morphological structure are expected to change. For the solution of these problems, suspended sediment estimations are needed.In this paper, Fuzzy Logic (FL) and statistical approaches such as Sediment Rating Curves (SRC), Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) are used for forecasting daily suspended sediment concentration from daily temperature of water and stream flow in the river. Daily data are measured at Augusta station by the US Geological Survey. These approaches are compared to each other according to three statistical criteria, namely, mean square errors (MSE), mean absolute relative error (MAE) and correlation coefficient (R). These criteria were used to evaluate the performance of the approaches. Zaman serileri analizinde öngörü yapmak araştırmacılar tarafından incelenilen yaygın bir problemdir. Daha iyi öngörü elde edebilmek için önerilmiş bir çok yöntem bulunmaktadır. Bunlardan bazıları olasılık tabanlı iken, bazıları olasılıksal olmayan yöntemlerdir. Otoregresif hareketli ortalamalar ve üstel düzleştirme yöntemlerı olasılıksal, yapay sinir ağları ve bulanık çıkarım sistemi yöntemleri ise olasılıksal olmayan yöntemlerden en yaygın olarak kullanılanlardır. Bulanık çıkarım sistemlerinin bir çoğu kural tabanlı yöntemlerken, 1. tip bulanık fonksiyon kural tabanlı bir yöntem değildir. Literatürde 1. tip bulanık fonksiyon yöntemini otoregresif modeller ile birleştiren yöntemlere rastlamak mümkün olmala beraber, 1. tip bulanık fonksiyonu hareketli ortalamalar ile birleştiren bir yöntem henüz önerilmemiştir. Bu tez çalışmasının amacı 1. tip bulanık fonksiyon yaklaşımını otoregresif hareketli ortalamalar modeli ile birleştirerek zaman serilerine ilişkin daha iyi öngörüler elde etmektir.Çalışmada, girdi matrisinin oluşturulması şu şekilde olmuştur: İlk olarak zaman serisinin gecikmeli değerleri modelin otoregresif kısmı için bağımsız değişkenler olarak alınmıştır. İkinci olarak, bulanık c-kümeleme yöntemi kullanılarak girdiler kümelenmiştir ve üyelik dereceleri ile küme merkezleri hafızada tutulmuştur. Son olarak önerilen yöntemin hareketli ortalamalar kısmı için bulanık fonksiyonun hataları kullanılarak kalıntı terimleri elde edilmiştir. Böylece, AR(p), MA(q) ve üyelik dereceleri girdi matrisinde toplanmıştır. Amaç fonksiyonumuz türevlenebilir bir fonksiyon olmadığından bu değeri minimum yapma amacı ile parçacık sürü optimizasyon yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Önerilen yöntemin performansını test etmek için Avusturalya bira tüketim verisi (ABC), 1999-2004 yılları arası Taiwan borsası verisi ve 2009-2013 yılları arası İstanbul Borsası günlük verileri uygulama veri seti olarak kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, önerilen yöntemin diğer kıyaslanan yöntemlere göre daha iyi sonuçlar verdiği gözlemlenmiştir. Forecasting future values of a time series is a widespread problem for researchers. There are a lot of methods for these kinds of problems. While some of these are probabilistic, some of them are non-probabilistic methods. For probabilistic methods, autoregressive integrated moving average and exponential smoothing methods are commonly used. For non-probabilistic methods, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and fuzzy systems have been commonly used. There are numerous fuzzy systems methods. While most of these methods are rule-based, there are a few methods which do not require rules, such as type-1 fuzzy functions approach. While it is possible to encounter with a model such as AR model integrated to T1FF, there has not been proposed any model including type-1 fuzzy functions and moving average model in one algorithm. Our intuition is to get better forecasting results taking into account the disturbance terms. The input data set is organized with the following variables. First, lagged values of the time series are used for the AR(p) part. Second, FCM algorithm is used to cluster the inputs. The degree of memberships and centers are stored. Third, for the MA(q) part, fuzzy functions' residuals are used. So, AR(p), MA(q), and degree of memberships of the objects are restored in the input data set. Since the function we have is not a derivative function, particle swarm optimization algorithm is preferred to obtain estimations of the coefficients. Australian beer consumption (ABC) data set, Istanbul stock exchange (BIST100) data sets from 2009 to 2013, and Taiwan stock exchange (TAIEX) data sets from 1999 to 2004 are used to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The outcomes show that the proposed method outperforms the other methods for 12 real-world time series data sets. 75

In this paper, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system ANFIS is used to assess conditions required for aquatic systems to serve as a sink for metal removal; it is used to generate information on the behavior of heavy metals (mercury) in water in relation to its uptake by bio-species (e.g. bacteria, fungi, algae, etc.) and adsorption to sediments. The approach of this research entails training fuzzy inference system by neural networks. The process is useful when there is interrelation between variables and no enough experience about mercury behavior, furthermore it is easy and fast process. Experimental work on mercury removal in wetlands for specific environmental conditions was previously conducted in bench scale at Concordia University laboratories. Fuzzy inference system FIS is constructed comprising knowledge base (i.e. premises and conclusions), fuzzy sets, and fuzzy rules. Knowledge base and rules are adapted and trained by neural networks, and then tested. ANFIS simulates and predicts mercury speciation for biological uptake and mercury adsorption to sediments. Modeling of mercury bioavailability for bio-species and adsorption to sediments shows strong correlation of more than 98% between simulation results and experimental data. The fuzzy models obtained are used to simulate and forecast further information on mercury partitioning to species and sediments. The findings of this research give information about metal removal by aquatic systems and their efficiency.

This paper presents an approach of computer-aided diagnosis for early prediction of cancer cells in brain. It extracts the texture from the given brain MRI sample.It uses image processing techniques followed by neuro classification for prediction of Cancer for a given MRI sample. A neuro fuzzy approach is used for the recognition of the extracted region. The implementation is observed on various types of MRI images with different types of cancer regions.
