Abstract

The clinical observation of the liver cirrhosis patients who has got the magnetoinfraredlaser therapy (MILT) with an irradiation of lien projection is presented. It was shown the positive MILT effect on the pancytopenia syndrome. The use of magnetoinfraredlaser therapy in the patients with the hypersplenia syndrome is recommended.

Abstract

There are observations of 37 pregnant women with cholestasis. The study of the level of bile acids, b2-microglobuline, ferritin and ultrasound echography was shown to be the most valuable diagnostic test. Absolute and relative contraindications to the maintenance of pregnancy are suggested for this group of patients. It was proved that the long-term cholemia considerably aggravates the course of the disease. The problem of the maintenance of pregnancy in each case must be solved on an individual basis and with the use of adequate therapy.

Abstract

The effect of the intravenous laser blood (ELB) treatment on the sensitivity of blood components with respect to drugs was studied in patients with nonspecific reactive hepatitis and chronic hepatitis. An ELB course reduced the functional activity of thrombocytes in the presence of fibrinogen and adrenaline hydrochloride (collagen inductors), which must be taken into account when these drugs are used as hemostatic agents.

Abstract

A procedure for estimation of serine dehydratase (SDH) and threonine dehydratase (TDH) activities in blood serum was based on the colorimetric measurement of the products, increasing after deamination of 1-serine (pyruvic acid) and 1-threonine (alpha-ketobutyric acid) using the reaction with 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine in an alkaline medium. Conditions for the enzymatic reaction were developed. Activity of enzymes was expressed as micrometer of the reaction products per 1 L of blood serum within 1 hr of incubation at 37 degrees. Blood serum from normal donors did not exhibit the SDH and TDH activities. The enzymatic activity was estimated in 126 patients with various impairments of liver tissue. The procedure developed was shown to be highly sensitive and informative. It enabled to detect both the earliest periods of the cytolytic syndrome and transition of the syndrome into its irreversible step.
