Purpose - This study was conducted to investigate the value types possessed by university students. Moreover, it was aimed at examining whether value types of students differ in terms of their demographic characteristics. Methodology - Portrait Values Questionnaire was employed to 328 students studying in a private and a public university located in Istanbul within the sample of the study. Gathering data were analyzed via means, standard deviation, frequency and percentage analysis within descriptive analyses and non-parametric analyses such as Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis were used to analyze diversities in terms of demographic characteristics. Findings- . Findings gathered from research were revealed that students mostly identified themselves with universalism, security and selfdirection values whereas they identified themselves with power value at least. In addition, it was found out that value types of students differ according to their demographic characteristics. Conclusion- In light of findings, a conclusion can be drawn as individuals tend to overcome their selfish concerns rather than try to achieve their own personal interests and goals to protect the prosperity of society and the existence of nature.

The meaningfulness of work is defined as the importance of the purposes of work in people's view of life and attitudes. There are studies about the meaningfulness of work that describe not only its significant and positive contributions to the meaningfulness of people's lives, but also as taking pleasure in work, which has a variety of cognitive, emotional, behavioral and economic benefits. The meaningfulness of work defined as the importance of the purposes of work in people's view of life and attitudes can be connected with variables in the field of organizational behavior. The purpose of this study is to determine the effects and correlations among job satisfaction and intention to leave with a path analysis to be carried out as part of a research model for these variables. It is intended to contribute the literature by analyzing the effects and correlations among the variables with a structural equation model and to obtain data about employee behavior in organizational life. The universe of the study is comprised of employees of an insurance business in Istanbul. This study will use the following data collection tools: the "Work and Meaning Inventory" by Steger, Frazier,Oishi & Kaler (2012), the "Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire" developed by Weis and adapted to Turkish by Oran (1989), the "Intention to Leave Scale" by Wayne, Shore and Linden (1997) and “Perceived Stress Scale” developed by Cohen, Kamarck & Mermelste (1983) and adopted to Turkish by Bilge, Ögce, Genc & Oran (2007). The independent variable “Learned Resourcefulness” was measured by using the “Learned Resourcefulness Scale” developed by Rosenbaum and the dependent variable “Job Satisfaction” was measured by using the “Short Form Minnesota Satisfaction Questionaire” developed by Weiss, Dawis, England and Lofguist. It is expected that, this study will contribute to the existing literature through analyzing the relationship between learned resourcefulness levels in higher education staff and job satisfaction.

Nepotism, favoritism and cronyism, which can be seen in all sectors of todays business world, have become quite common behavior. The granting of privileges to certain individuals is an extremely disturbing situation to the organizations employees and the lack of trust arising under such conditions negatively affects job satisfaction, organizational loyalty, and individual performance, and can hinder the internal control system in the auditing process. In this study, the effects of nepotism, favoritism and cronyism on organizational loyalty regarding the internal control system in the auditing process in the Turkish textiles sector are examined. In order to uncover the relationships in question, frequency breakdowns, Cronbachs Alpha reliability testing, and regression analysis are performed.

The dependent variable “Learned Resourcefulness” was measured by using the “Learned Resourcefulness Scale” developed by M. A. Rosenbaum. It is expected that, this study will contribute to literature in terms of resourcefulness perception of Turkish academic staff and to analyze its relationship with some variables such as gender, age, marital status and academic qualifications. In this way it is thought to have contribution on literature.
