The article is aimed at substantiating the organizational-methodical bases of auditing of the enterprise’s liabilities and collaterals. The parameters of the above mentioned bases should comprehensively substantiate the ways in which the objective of an auditing be met, clearly identify audit procedures at each stage of an audit inspection, allow the formation of an acceptable and sufficiently evidence-based framework that will be reflected in the documentary data, the important elements of which will be summarized in the Auditor's Report and presented to the relevant authorities. It is argued that against the background of the unstable financial situation of Ukraine’s enterprises, the increased dependence of business entities on the external sources of financing, the issue of assessing the impact of the actual size of liabilities and collaterals on the continuity of functioning of business entity becomes relevant. A contextual consideration of the continuity assumption implies the mandatory use of the audit procedures, which necessitate the calculation and assessment of indicators, which characterize solvency and financial stability.

The article is aimed at a scientific substantiation of instrumentarium of controlling in the system of management of economic potential of enterprise. It has been proved that controlling is not only an instrument for managing the cost of business, but it also coordinates other segments of enterprise’s management. The information obtained through the use of operational and strategic controlling instruments allows the enterprise management to better understand the relationship between the individual elements of processes going on at the enterprise. Analyzing and systematizing scientific works of scholars, it is indicated that at the present time the issues of instrumentation of controlling and its connection with the controlling objects are not solved properly. In order to facilitate the selection of an instrumentarium of controlling in the system of management of the economic potential of enterprise, its systematization by elements, which include financial, production, labor, marketing, investment, organizational, managerial and other types of potentials, has been substantiated. It has been determined, that the applied instrumentarium also depends on the analyzed period of activity of the enterprise – either operative or strategic. As a result of the research the classification of controlling instruments with the purpose of management of the economic potential of enterprise has been proposed.

The aim of the scientific article is explication, clarification of the interpretation of the concepts “audit” and “financial audit” taking into account their functional significance. Based on analyzing fundamental scientific achievements, legislative and normative documents, it is justified that the identification of the concepts “audit” and “financial audit” is inexpedient, since the latter by means of a transformation expands the functional hypostasis of the audit. It is proved that one of the topical issues of the scientific controversy on the problem is the practical application of financial audit as an active instrument of financial management, which will provide the management component of the business environment with the necessary information support that would correspond to the basic and strengthening criteria for qualitative characteristics of the information usefulness. It is substantiated that the financial audit is characterized by interdisciplinarity, which is advisable to be considered as interaction of the planes of audit and economic diagnostics. It is stated that the interdisciplinarity forms a set of features of financial audit.

RUSSIAN invasion of Ukraine, 2022- ,DIGITAL transformation ,DIGITAL technology ,SCIENTIFIC method ,ECONOMIC development ,MARTIAL law - Abstract
Digital technologies are currently one of the main engines of growth and technological development of the global economy. The introduction of digital technologies contributes to the competitiveness of various sectors of the world economy, the creation of new business opportunities in terms of connecting to digital global value chains, the emergence of new markets and niches, and the accelerated introduction of new digital goods into the global market. The digitalization process does not happen simultaneously in different countries of the world, so there is a certain gap in the degree of digitalization of national economies, which gives rise to digital inequality and, as a consequence, increasing the dependence of countries on developed countries. Politics, legal norms, traditions and culture, the level of economic development achieved, the level of education, and the country's own technological base, as well as many other factors, play an important role in the digital transformation of a country's economy. As a result of the digital transformation of the global economic architecture, new contours of the digital economy are emerging, characterized by the exponential growth of data flows. The formation of the digital market space contributes to increasing competitiveness primarily in the industrial sector through the creation of new products and their service system, which leads to the emergence of new market segments. In other words, the digital market, in fact, is a modern mechanism providing a rapid transition from national markets limited by state borders to a single global market. This situation requires a study of the economic aspects of digitalization in the context of sustainable development of our state, which determines the relevance of the chosen research topic. The purpose of the article is to assess the impact of digitalization on the economy through the example of Ukraine and its directions in peacetime and under martial law. Assessment of digitalization and its impact on the economy was carried out on the basis of open data, in particular GDP per capita, indexes of global and digital competitiveness, digital induction, and sustainability index were used. During the study, the following scientific methods were used: analysis and synthesis, the method of establishing cause-effect relationships, and graphical methods. As a result of the study, the main trends in the digitalization of the national economy and its risks were identified, focusing on the shift in emphasis from service to military goals of digital transformation. A conclusion was made about a significant breakthrough in the digital economy in Ukraine and further development regardless of russia's military invasion of Ukraine. The state of Ukraine was analyzed with the help of digitalization indices and the confirmation of the need for further monitoring of the digitalization of the Ukrainian economy and the study of its impact on the rate of economic growth was identified on their basis. The idiom goes, "what is one man's trash is another man's treasure." In our 21st century economy, one man's trash is less commonly another's treasure as often as it is pollution. It is well documented that the majority of human waste ends up in on the side of roads, or in forests and oceans if not in landfills or incinerated. The disposability of items in our consumer culture is now commonplace. We are exacerbating our problems by throwing away single-use and barely-used items again and again without a feasible, realistic, and responsible solution for the end their life cycle. While our habitual buying and scrapping is continually increasing, the industrial buildings that process our waste are pushed to the outskirts of urban centers where they are most needed due to aesthetics, noises, and odors. These suburban and rural locations put an enormous economic and resource strain on cities. Architecture has the opportunity and responsibility to play an important role in remedying these issues related to waste facilities and processes. Architecture as an art form has largely abandoned these and similar industrial typologies as building design problems. They are mostly undertaken by engineers who design them for economic and process efficiencies. But there are unique challenges to be overcome with creative solutions, what architects do best. As a part of this process, architects can better design facilities so that they can be located within city limits and fight the "not in my backyard" stigmas associated with waste management. Ultimately architects can strive to improve civic life for citizens while also improving the means and methods of city-maintenance issues related to waste. At this intersection of waste and architecture, this thesis explores how a facility that settles into the dense urban fabric of Washington D.C. can play a role in the city's waste steam in order to benefit the local community and economy. Architecture has the opportunity and responsibility to play an important role in remedying these issues related to waste facilities and processes. Architects rarely design waste-management buildings and other industrial-use buildings. Usually it is engineers who undertake these buildings. They tend to design them in ways that put cost and process efficiency above everything else. One of the main skill-set architects have is problem-solving through design. Waste-management buildings face a lot of challenges beyond cost and process efficiency so it would make sense for architects to be a part of this process. Architects can better design these facilities so that they can be located within city limits and fight the “not in my backyard” stigmas associated with waste management. The dynamic system of control of technological innovations is considered. Its dynamics is described by a vector linear discrete recurrent ratio and influenced by control parameters (controls) and an uncontrollable parameter (vector of risks or obstacles). In this case, the risks in the system of control of technological innovation will imply factors that influence negatively or catastrophically the results the processes, considered in it.To solve the problem on control over technological innovations, we proposed methods based on the construction of predictive sets – reachability regions of the considered dynamic model. These are the sets of all permissible states of a phase vector of the system at an assigned moment, correspondent to the fixed program control and to all permissible vectors of risk. This procedure is accompanied by the minimax-based method for finding a guaranteed result. Its essence is that the value of the worst (maximum) vector of possible risks is the least compared with similar values for the others at minimally guaranteed optimal control. Thus, we minimize the impact of risks in the problem of control of technological innovations, where the risks are uncontrollable parameters. This is implemented based on selection of such optimal control, which would guarantee the obtained result under the influence of any maximal risk from the set of permissible risks. The proposed method enables the development of effective numerical procedures that make it possible to implement computer modeling of dynamics of the studied problem, to form program minimax control over technological innovations and to obtain an optimal guaranteed result. The results reported here could be used for economic-mathematical modeling and for solving other problems on the optimization of data forecasting and control processes under conditions of insufficient information and in the existence of risks. In addition, the developed modeling toolset could form the basis for development of appropriate software-hardware complexes to support making effective control decisions in the innovation activity.,

ENGLISH language education , *PREREQUISITES (Education) , *SCHOOL environment , *SCHOOL year , *ENGINEERING students - Abstract
In the current era of rapid modern society growth and Ukraine’s integration into the European community, professional proficiency in English is a prerequisite for engineering personnel. This suggests that the national higher education system needs to meet new standards and that student’s personal and professional qualities are essential. In this regard, it is crucial to realize that, to properly train future engineers, English language programs must imitate the most common professional scenarios to establish environments that are similar to those of professional foreign language communication. All of this is made feasible by employing the case study approach in English language lessons as a replicated model of an engineer’s professional activities. The article aims to investigate and bolster the advantages of the case study approach for engineering students learning ESP. The experiment involved 82 engineering majors from the Podillia State University (Ukraine) who had finished the compulsory Business English course in the academic year 2022–2023. The respondents were divided into two groups: the first group learned languages using the conventional way, and the second group employed the case study approach. The data were confirmed using statistical calculation methods (namely the p-value). The experiment results support the theory that the case study methodology is a better approach to learning a foreign language than the conventional approach. The study findings show how useful the case study approach was, assuming both professional language proficiency and immersion in real-world language contexts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
