A large number of fires occur in offshore structures as a result of oil spill or earthquake. A potential but rarely examined risk is the sequential happening of fires and earthquakes. The high ignition temperature can have serious structural influences on the seismic behavior of dolphin-type berth structure. The fire induced structural effects on the seismic performance of Dolphin structure is not well unstated, but may be critical in the occurrence of aftershocks and/or future ground excitations. Considering the irreparable consequences of reducing the seismic performance of fixed marine structures under post-fire conditions, it is vital for engineers to better understand post- fire earthquake hazards in Dolphin structure. The current manuscript presents a numerical investigation to examine the influence of post-fire conditions on the seismic behavior of dolphin-type berth structure. the main goal of this paper is to investigate the effects of fire on the seismic response of the structure. In order to better investigate the effects of temperature increase on the performance of the structure, fire is applied in the first stage near the water surface and in the second stage to the berth deck. The ABAQUS software package is utilized to model and solve the problem.

Introduction. One of the most specific areas in practical dentistry is the use of various biological matrix structures that serve as a backbone for osteogenic cells and a framework for vascular components that provide the gradual formation of a new bone tissue in the area of defect formed by the resultant enucleation. Objective. To establish the efficiency of using fibrous matrix and polymeric membrane in the process of restoration of defects of the bone structure after the procedure of the enucleation on the lower jaw and to analyze the results with those that were registered when performing bone defects with collagen sponge. Materials and methods. The study was conducted in the Department of Surgical Dentistry of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, Ukraine, during 6 months, between September 10, 2018-March 10, 2019. The selected sample of patients randomly were divided into two groups: 1st group – the study group, which included 24 persons (filling the main bone defect in this group was carried out using the material developed by the authors, of fibrous matrix and polymer membranes); 2nd group – the comparison group, in which 25 people were included (the completion of the main part of the bone defect in this group was carried out using CollaTape Collage Spot (Integra Life Sciences). Results. The average index of reduction of the geometric radiological defect size in the research group was 89.4±2.5%, while in the comparison group, this indicator was equal to 90.2± 1.6%. The largest reduction in both the research group and the comparison group was noted in the horizontal (87.8-93.6%) and in the diagonal (88.4-91.5%) components of the defect. Six months after the intervention, the index of reduction increased and reached 1.74 (72.50%). Conclusions. The absence of registered statistical differences between the above described criteria for assessing surgical treatment of patients in both groups suggests that the use of fibrous matrix and polymeric membranes does not provoke significant violations in the process of physiological bone regeneration after the removal of cyst.

New World orthohantaviruses are rodent-borne tri-segmented viruses that cause hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome in humans in the Americas. Molecular diagnostics for orthohantaviruses can be improved with more sequence data. Following an Argentine Hemorrhagic Fever (AHF) outbreak in the early 1990s, a rodent survey for Junín virus, a New World Clade B arenavirus, in endemic areas of Argentina was conducted. Since 1990, INEVH has been developing eco-epidemiological surveillance of rodents, inside and outside the Argentine Hemorrhagic Fever endemic area. Samples from rodents captured between 1993 and 2019 that were positive for Arenavirus infection underwent Sanger and unbiased, Illumina-based high-throughput sequencing, which yielded 5 complete and 88 partial Mammarenaviruses genomes. Previously, 11 genomes representing four species of New World arenavirus Clade C existed in public records. This work has generated 13 novel genomes, expanding the New World arenavirus Clade C to 24 total genomes. Additionally, two genomes exhibit sufficient genetic diversity to be considered a new species, as per ICTV guidelines (proposed name Mammarenavirus vellosense ). The 13 novel genomes exhibited reassortment between the small and large segments in New World Mammarenaviruses . This work demonstrates that Clade C Mammarenavirus infections circulate broadly among Necromys species in the Argentine Hemorrhagic Fever endemic area; however, the risk for Clade C Mammarenavirus human infection is currently unknown.
