Uterine rupture in pregnancy is a rare but serious condition. It commonly occurs in uterus with a previous scar, but in rare cases in can happen in unscared uterus. The authors report a case of a pregnant women, with a prior vaginal delivery and no history of uterine surgery, that develops a hypovolemic shock after birth. After a abdominal ultrasound showing a massive hemoperitoneum, an exploratory laparotomy was performed and an uterine rupture detected. The defect was corrected and hysterectomy was not necessary. This article aims to draw attention to this condition because early diagnosis can save mother’s life.

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted and exacerbated inequities in health for structurally marginalised Canadians. Their location on society's hierarchies constrained their ability to access healthcare and follow recommended health behaviours. The aim of this article is to identify, from the perspective of marginalised populations, factors influencing the acceptance or rejection of COVID-19 countermeasures by structurally marginalised Canadians. Interviews were conducted with Canadians 18 + who identified as Black (n = 8), First Nations, Métis, or Inuit (n = 7) and low-income (<40,000 annual household income) (n = 8) between August and December 2021. Measures were said to impact well-being and interfere with revenue generating activities. Longstanding unfavourable living and environmental conditions as they relate to structural marginalisation was said to fuel anger toward the government and lead to a greater reluctance to accept countermeasures. Participants described concerns about government decisions being made without considering their unique contexts, or knowledge of the experiences of the population for whom these decisions were being made. Effective proactive action from government is important to foster trust with marginalised populations to support acceptance of health information and address growing inequities. O presente relatório, foi desenvolvido no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.ºCEB, decorrente do trabalho realizado em duas unidades curriculares, Prática Pedagógica Supervisionada e Seminário de Orientação Educacional. Este relatório reflete o decorrer da prática pedagógica em contexto de Educação Pré-Escolar e do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Este documento retrata o desenvolvimento da prática pedagógica em contexto de Educação Pré-Escolar e do 1.ºCEB, onde foi analisado o desenvolvimento motor dos intervenientes e os estilos de vida das crianças quanto à alimentação e hábitos de sono. Deste modo, foram desenvolvidas um leque de atividades que foram postas em prática com o objetivo de contribuir para estilos de vida mais ativos. Quanto ao estudo do 1.ºCEB, onde desenvolvemos o nosso estudo empírico, este envolveu 19 participantes do 2.º Ano. O estudo teve uma abordagem quali-quântica, onde foram realizadas as medições e pesagens, testes de avaliação da coordenação (KTK e salto à corda), diário de bordo desenvolvido ao longo do projeto, carta ao colega, referenciação dos espaços de Atividades Físicas e Desportivas e Equipamentos e Três Principais Refeições do Dia, relacionadas com os estilos de vida saudáveis. O trabalho empírico, apresentado neste relatório pretendia compreender se a escolha de atividades que visam promover a AF nas crianças contribuiriam positivamente para os resultados dos testes. Ou seja, através da análise dos diferentes dados referidos, compreender de que forma as crianças interagiriam umas com as outras, influenciariam ou condicionariam as escolhas de cada uma. Compreender os eventuais benefícios a nível pessoal, social e motor. Por outro lado, compreender se a relação entre os pares através das partilhas entre eles, contribuiriam no aumento dos níveis de motivação e empenho na AF num estilo de vida mais ativo e saudável. Os dados recolhidos foram analisados numa perspetiva interpretativa e holística, assim como em termos numéricos. Salienta-se a importância das relações dos pares nas escolas na promoção de hábitos de vida ativos. This report was developed within the Master's degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st CEB, resulting from the work carried out in two curricular units, Supervised Pedagogical Practice and also, Educational Orientation Seminar. This report reflects the course of pedagogical practice in the context of Pre-School Education and the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. This document portrays the development of pedagogical practice in the context of Pre-School Education and the 1st CEB, where the motor development of those involved and the lifestyles of children regarding feeding and sleeping habits were analyzed. Thus, a range of activities were developed and put into practice with the objective of contributing to more active lifestyles. As for the study of the 1st CEB, where we developed our empirical study, this involved 19 participants of Year 2. The study had a quali-quantum approach, where measurements and weighing’s were performed, coordination evaluation tests (KTK and rope jumping), logbook developed throughout the project, letter to colleague, reference of physical and sports activity spaces and equipment and three main meals of the day, related to healthy lifestyles. The empirical work presented in this report aimed at understanding whether the choice of activities aimed at promoting PA in children would contribute positively to the test results. That is, through the analysis of the different data mentioned, understand how children would interact with each other and influence or condition the choices of each one. Understand the possible benefits at the personal, social, and motor level.On the other hand, understanding whether the relationship between peers through sharing between them would contribute to increasing levels of motivation and commitment to PA in a more active and healthier lifestyle. The data collected were analyzed from an interpretive and holistic perspective, as well as in numerical terms. 34. Velocidade de carboxilação da rubisco e transporte de elétrons em espécies arbóreas em resposta a fatores do ambiente na Amazônia central

- Abstract
Light availability is one of the main factors that limits photosynthetic rates in saplings in the forest understory. The aims of this study were to determine how photosynthetic parameters (maximum carboxylation velocity of Rubisco – Vc-max and maximum rate of electron transport – Jmax) respond to irradiance, temperature and diurnal variations in the physical environment. Gas exchange data were collected between 08h00 and 16h00, and from September to November (2010) under ambient conditions, temperature of 27± 2 ºC and relative humidity of 70 ± 3%. CO2 saturated photosynthesis (Apot) was measured under light saturation and [CO2] of 2000 μmol mol-1. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and then the Tukey test was used for mean separations. Vc-max and Jmax correlated with photosynthetic rates at [CO2] of 380 μmol mol-1 (A380) and Apot. The increase in intercellular CO2 concentration (Ci) led to increase in photosynthetic rates, up to the point of photosynthesis limitation by the electron transport rate. Below the collimation point (300-569 μmol mol-1) photosynthetic rates were limited by Vc-max. Increases in irradiance and temperature in the forest understory led to increasing the values of A380, Apot, Vc-max and Jmax. However, the effect of time of day on Vc-max and Jmax was not significant (p > 0.05). Absence of an effect of time of day on Vc-max and Jmax is important for the leaf to efficiently use the sun flecks that occasionally puncture the forest floor. © 2017, Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Panoramic radiographs (PR) can display radiopaque images suggestive of calcified atheroma in the carotid artery in asymptomatic patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of these images on PR and their linkage with hypertension, obesity, age, gender and smoking habits. PR of 505 patients were evaluated. They were older than 30 years old and their PR had been taken for different clinical reasons. Their body mass index was calculated; their waist circumference was also taken into consideration. Information about smoking habits and hypertension was obtained. The observers analyzed the presence of radiopaque mass in the region of the cervical vertebrae C3-C4 through the PR, confirmed by an antero-posterior (AP) radiograph. The results showed a 7.92% prevalence of suggestive images of calcifications on PR and on AP radiograph. The adjusted Odds Ratio showed association with age and smoking habits. The calcification process is almost nine times higher for the elderly when compared to the young. As far as smokers are concerned, this process is twice worse when compared to no smokers. In conclusion, 7.92% of the group studied presented suggestive images of carotid atherosclerosis on PR, which is directly associated with the age and smoking habits. Resumo As radiografias panorâmicas (RP) podem exibir imagens radiopacas sugestivas de ateromas calcificados na artéria carótida em pacientes assintomáticos. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a prevalência destas imagens na RP e sua relação com hipertensão, obesidade, idade, sexo e tabagismo. Foram avaliadas RP de 505 pacientes acima de trinta anos, que realizaram esse exame por diversos motivos clínicos. Seu índice de massa corpórea foi calculado; sua circunferência abdominal também foi considerada. Informações sobre hipertensão e tabagismo foram obtidas. Os observadores avaliaram as RP para a presença de massas radiopacas na região das vértebras cervicais C3-C4, confirmadas por meio de uma radiografia ântero-posterior (AP). Os resultados mostraram prevalência de 7,92% de imagens sugestivas de calcificações em RP e na radiografia AP. A razão de probabilidade (OR) ajustada mostrou associação com idade e tabagismo. O risco para as pessoas mais velhas aumenta até cerca de nove vezes quando comparado com aqueles mais jovens, enquanto para os fumantes, o risco é o dobro, quando comparado com não fumantes. Na população estudada, 7,92% de todos os sujeitos apresentaram imagens sugestivas de aterosclerose carotídea em RP e houve associação com idade e tabagismo.

Orientador: Deborah Queiroz de Freitas França Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Odontologia de Piracicaba Resumo: O objetivo no presente estudo foi estimar a dose absorvida na região de órgãos sensíveis, no tomógrafo computadorizado de feixe cônico OP300 Maxio, variando parâmetros de exposição em relação à resolução espacial e tamanho e posicionamento do campo de visão (FOV - field of view). Para isso, exames de tomografia computadorizada de feixe cônico foram obtidos no referido tomógrafo, variando-se o número de imagens base, o tamanho do voxel (0,2 mm, 0,125 mm e 0,085 mm), e o tamanho (5x5 cm, 6x8 cm e 8x15 cm) e posicionamento do FOV. Quando esse era pequeno, a posição variou entre maxila ou mandíbula, anterior ou posterior ou para uma das articulações temporomandibulares (ATM). A estimativa da dose absorvida foi realizada no phantom antropomórfico, modelo 711-HN, utilizando dosímetros termoluminescentes TLD-100 (LiF:Mg,Ti), os quais foram distribuídos em 7 locais pré-determinados (olhos, glândulas parótidas e submandibulares e tireoide). Um par de dosímetros foi posicionado em cada um dos locais para se calcular a média da dose absorvida na região de órgãos sensíveis e um par de dosímetros foi mantido fora da sala de exames a fim de medir a dose média de radiação ambiente. Foram realizadas duas exposições para cada protocolo. A leitura dos dosímetros foi obtida em uma leitora termoluminescente (Victoreen, modelo 2800). Os valores encontrados foram subtraídos dos valores das leituras referentes à radiação ambiente e então divididos pelo número de exposições (2) para expressar a média de exposição por exame para cada dosímetro. As doses das diferentes regiões foram somadas para expressar o total de dose de cada exame e possibilitar as comparações. A análise estatística foi realizada no programa SPSS, versão 22.0. Análise de variância dois critérios com teste post-hoc de Tukey foi utilizada para avaliar o efeito dos protocolos e tamanho e posicionamento do FOV na dose. Análise de variância um critério com teste post-hoc de Tukey foi utilizada para avaliar a influência do tamanho do FOV na dose para o exame da ATM. Foi empregado nível de significância de 5% para todas as análises. Os resultados mostraram que o aumento da resolução espacial causou um aumento da dose em todas as posições do FOV; no FOV de 5x5 cm, a dose da região anterior foi menor do que a da posterior tanto para maxila quanto para mandíbula, que apresentou os maiores valores em todos os protocolos, com diferença significante. No protocolo Standard (voxel de 0,2 mm), o FOV de 8x15 cm apresentou valores de dose absorvida maiores em relação ao FOV de 5x5 cm. Para a ATM, dois pequenos FOVs (5x5 cm) exibiram menores valores de dose absorvida em relação ao FOV de 8x15 cm, com diferença significante. Foi possível concluir que a dose absorvida na região dos órgãos radiossensíveis avaliados variou de acordo com o tamanho e posicionamento do FOV em todos os protocolos; a redução da dose pode ser obtida limitando-se o FOV para a região de interesse (ROI - region of interest), para o tomógrafo estudado Abstract: The aim of this study was to estimate the absorbed dose on the region of sensitive organs using OP300 Maxio cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) equipment, varying exposure parameters on the spatial resolution and size and positioning of the field of view (FOV). Different numbers of basis images (frames) and voxel size (0,2 mm, 0,125 mm e 0,085 mm), sizes (5x5 cm, 6x8 cm and 8x15 cm) and positionings of the FOV were applied to obtain these CBCT scan. When the FOV was small, the position varied between maxilla and mandible, anterior or posterior, and one side of temporomandibular joint (TMJ). The estimate of absorbed dose was carried out on the anthropomorphic phantom, 711-HN model, using thermoluminescent dosimeters TLD-100 (LiF: Mg, Ti), which were distributed in seven predetermined locations (eyes, parotid, submandibular and thyroid). A pair of dosimeters was placed in each of the given locations to calculate the average absorbed dose on the region. Another pair was kept outside of the examination room to measure the mean dose of background radiation. Two exposures for each protocol were made. The reading of the dosimeters was obtained in a thermoluminescent reader (Victoreen, model 2800). The values were subtracted from the readings amounts referring to background radiation and then divided by the number of exposures (2) to express the exposure average by examination for each dosimeter. The doses of the different regions were added to each exam to compare them. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS version 22.0. Two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the Tukey¿s post-hoc test was used to assess the effect of protocols and FOV position and size on dose. One-way ANOVA with the post-hoc Tukey test was employed to evaluate the influence of FOV size on dose for TMJ scans. A significance level of 5% was set for all analyses. The results showed that the increase of the spatial resolution caused an increase in dose in all positions of the FOV; in the 5x5 cm FOV, the absorbed dose values were lower in the anterior region than posterior in both the maxilla and mandible, with the latter showing the highest values in all protocols with significant difference. The 8x15 cm FOV shown larger absorbed dose values in comparison to the 5x5 cm FOV in the Standard protocol (0,2 mm voxel). For TMJ, two small FOV (5x5 cm) exhibited lower values of absorbed dose in relation to the 8x15 cm FOV with significant difference. In conclusion, the absorbed dose at the region of the radiosensitive organs evaluated varied according to the size and position of the FOV in all protocols; dose reduction may be obtained by limiting the FOV in the region of interest (ROI), in the studied tomograph Doutorado Radiologia Odontológica Doutora em Radiologia Odontológica CAPES

O clareamento dental consiste em um dos tratamentos estéticos da Odontologia mais bem requisitados pelos pacientes na atualidade. Permite o alcance de um sorriso estético através de procedimentos não-invasivos, sem promover desgastes na estrutura dentária. Pode ser classificado em caseiro ou de consultório, sendo o último associado ou não a unidades ativadoras, a exemplo do LED. O objetivo dessa revisão de literatura é explanar as características das técnicas de clareamento dental, para dentes com vitalidade pulpar, caseiro e ativado por LED. The tooth whitening treatment consists of a better esthetic dentistry required by patients today. Allows the achievement of an aesthetic smile through non-invasive procedures and does not promote wear in the tooth structure. Can be classified as home or office, the latter may be associated or not with active units, such as the LED. The purpose of this literature review is to explain the characteristics of the techniques of tooth whitening for teeth with pulp vitality, homemade and activated LED.

Nas últimas décadas muitos estudos sobre os processos fisiológicos das plantas têm sido realizados a fim de prognosticar os efeitos das mudanças climáticas na floresta Amazônica. Entretanto, os modelos climáticos poderão prognosticar com maior precisão o comportamento fotossintético da Floresta Amazônica, quando os dados de Vcmax e Jmax forem calculados com base nas concentrações de CO2 dentro dos cloroplastos (Cc). Isto faz-se necessário, em virtude da diferença entre as concentrações de CO2 nos espaços intercelulares e a do sítio de carboxilação no cloroplasto. Esta diferença é imposta pela condutância do mesofilo. Assim, este estudo tem como objetivo principal determinar a velocidade máxima de carboxilação da Rubisco (Vcmax) e a taxa de transporte de elétrons (Jmax) utilizando os valores de concentrações de CO2 no cloroplasto, bem como investigar se a condutância do mesofilo varia em função das condições ambientais e das características foliares. Foram utilizadas cinco espécies arbóreas em condição de sub-bosque (Myrcia paivae, Minquartia guianensis, Eschweleira bracteosa, Faramea juruana e Psychotria carthagenensis). Os parâmetros fotossintéticos foram mensurados utilizando um analisador de gás infravermelho (irga). A condutância do mesofilo (gm) foi determinada utilizando medidas de trocas gasosas em conjunto com dados de fluorescência obtidos utilizando um fluorômetro acoplado à câmara do irga. Além disso, gm também foi determinada usando apenas dados do irga. Também foram mensurados a espessura da folha, a área foliar específica (AFE), os conteúdos de nitrogênio e fósforo foliar, taxas de incremento anual em diâmetro (IAD) e altura (IAA), índice de área foliar (IAF) e a fração de céu visível. A média de gm determinada com o irga-fluorômetro foi de 0,06 mol m-2 s-1 e 0,1 mol m-2 s-1 utilizando apenas os dados do irga. Vcmax e Jmax determinados utilizando valores Cc foram em média 30% e 12%, respectivamente, maiores do que os valores obtidos com Ci, o que destaca a importância do uso Cc nestes cálculos. A média de incremento anual em diâmetro (IAD) foi de 0,67 mm ano-1, enquanto que incremento anual em altura (IAA) as médias atingiram 75,7 mm ano-1. O efeito do horário do dia foi significativo para gm, gs, fotossíntese saturada por luz (Amax) e para taxa de transporte de elétrons calculada pelo fluorômetro (JF). Entretanto, não houve efeito do horário do dia em Vcmax. A espessura da folha e AFE não afetaram nenhum dos parâmetros analisados. A média de gm calculada utilizando apenas dados do irga foi quase o dobro daquela obtida utilizando o método irga-fluorômetro. A condutância do mesofilo foi afetada pelo conteúdo de N foliar e pela espessura da folha, mas a altura das arvores não afetou os valores de gm, o que denota a sensibilidade desta resistência apenas nas variações anatômicas das folhas. In recent decades many studies on the physiological processes of plants have been conducted to predict the effects of climate change on the Amazon rainforest. In the majority of these studies intercellular [CO2] at the intercellular spaces (Ci) have been used. However, climate models could predict with greater accuracy the photosynthetic capacity of the Amazonian rainforest ecosystem should Vcmax and Jmax were calculated on the basis of chloroplast [CO2] concentrations (Cc) instead Ci. This is because of the difference in CO2 concentrations between the intercellular spaces and that at the carboxylation site in the chloroplast. This difference is imposed by mesophyll resistance. Thus, this study aims to determine the maximum carboxylation velocity of Rubisco (Vcmax) and electron transport rate (Jmax) using the values of CO2 concentrations in the chloroplast, and also to investigate whether the mesophyll conductance varies with environmental conditions and leaf characteristics. A total of five tree species in the juvenile stage and growing under understory conditions were used. The species were Myrcia paivae, Minquartia guianensis, Eschweleira bracteosa, Faramea juruana and Psychotria carthagenensis. The photosynthetic parameters were measured using an infrared gas analyzer (IRGA). The mesophyll conductance (gm) was determined using gas exchange measurements in conjunction with fluorescence data obtained using a fluorometer coupled to IRGA head. Furthermore, gm was also determined using IRGA data alone. We also measured leaf thickness, specific leaf area (AFE), leaf nitrogen and phosphorus contents, annual increment in diameter (IAD) and height (IAA), leaf area index (LAI) and the fraction of sky visible. The average gm-IRGA determined with the irga/fluorometer was 0.06 mol m-2 s-1 and 0.1 mol m-2 s-1 when it was determined using IRGA data alone. Vcmax and Jmax determined using Cc values were on average 30% and 12%, respectively, higher than the values obtained using Ci values, which highlights the importance of using Cc for Vcmax and Jmax calculations. The average annual increment in diameter (IAD) and annual increment in height (IAA) were 0.67 mm yr-1 and 75.7 mm yr-1, respectively. The effect of time of day was significant for gm, gs, light saturated photosynthesis (Amax) and electron transport rate obtained with the fluorometer (JF). However, there was no effect of time of day on Vcmax. Leaf thickness and AFE did not affect any of the parameters analyzed. Mean gm calculated using IRGA data alone was almost twice as high the values obtained with the IRGA-fluorometer method. Mesophyll conductance was affected by leaf nitrogen content and the leaf thickness, but sapling height did not affect gm values, which indicates the sensitivity of mesophyll resistance is mainly related to the anatomical characteristics of the leaves.

47. Biossensor impedanciométrico baseado em compósitos híbridos de nanopartículas de ouro-polianilina para detecção de sorotipo da Dengue em concentração de picomolar

Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico Neste trabalho, nós descrevemos a preparação e caracterização de um novo compósito híbrido de nanopartículas de ouro-polianilina (AuNpPANI) com grupos terminais SH que, devido a sua habilidade de imobilizar primers específicos para os sorotipos de dengue 1, 2 e 3 (ST1, ST2 e ST3), pode ser utilizado para o desenvolvimento de biossensores. Espectroscopia de impedância eletroquímica (EIE) na faixa de freqüência de 100 mHz a 100 KHz e voltametria cíclica (VC) na faixa de varredura -0,2 a 0,7 V foram realizadas na presença da mistura de 10 mM K3[Fe(CN)6]4-/K4[Fe(CN)6]3- (1:1), utilizada como par redox. Resultados de CV e EIS demonstraram que o AuNpPANI foi capaz de imobilizar ST1, ST2 e ST3, formando os complexos AuNpPANI-ST. As imagens de MEV mostraram a presença de aglomerados AuNpPANI quando a seqüência genômica DEN1 (alvo complementar) é hibridizada com o ST1 da dengue. Voltamogramas cíclicos bem definidos característicos de um processo redox de difusão limitada foram observados no eletrodo de ouro limpo e após este ter sido modificado pela adsorção de AuNpPANI ou AuNpPANI-ST. Em adição, foi observado um notável decréscimo nos picos anódico e catódico. O sistema AuNpPANI-ST(1-3) exibiu uma resposta altamente seletiva para o alvo complementar da dengue e pode ser utilizado para a construção de um biossensor para sorotipos da dengue. O sistema AuNpPANI-ST(1-3) foi capaz de reconhecer o sorotipo da dengue de diferentes pacientes em concentrações de picomolar. Os resultados VC e EIE mostraram evidência inequívoca da interação existente entre os primers específicos para os sorotipos de dengue estudados e o DNA genômico complementar utilizando pequenos volumes e baixas concentrações do analito

48. SPAD-502 readings in response to photon fluence in leaves with different chlorophyll content

The chlorophyll meter (SPAD-502) is widely used to estimate chlorophyll content, but non-uniform chloroplast distribution can affect its accuracy. This study aimed to assess the effect of photon fluence (F, irradiance x time of illumination) in leaves with different chlorophyll content and determine the effect of chlorophyll a/b on SPAD values of four tropical tree species (Croton draconoides Müll. Arg., Hevea guianensis Aubl., Hymenaea courbaril L. and Matisia cordata H.B.K.). There were also determined calibration equations for the chlorophyll meter and assessed the effect of F on SPAD values between 07:00 h and 17:00 h. Calibration equations were obtained after determining leaf chlorophyll content in the laboratory. Increases in F with time caused a reduction in SPAD values in species with a high chlorophyll content, with reductions of 20% in M. cordata and 10% in H. guianensis. Leaves of C. draconoides and H. courbaril had lower chlorophyll content and showed no changes in SPAD values with increase in F. The chlorophyll a/b ratio increased with SPAD values and the SPAD/chlorophyll relationship was best described by an exponential equation. It seems that F may affect SPAD values in leaves with high chlorophyll content, probably due to non-uniform chloroplast distribution at high irradiance. This indicates that SPAD values tend to be more accurate if recorded early in morning when irradiance is low. O clorofilômetro (SPAD-502) é amplamente utilizado para estimar teores de clorofila, mas a falta de uniformidade na distribuição dos cloroplastos pode afetar sua precisão. Os objetivos deste estudo foram avaliar o efeito da fluência de fótons (F = irradiância x tempo de iluminação) em folhas com teores diferentes de clorofila e determinar o efeito da relação clorofila a/b nos valores do SPAD em quatro espécies de árvores tropicais (Croton draconoides Müll. Arg., Hevea guianensis Aubl., Hymenaea courbaril L. e Matisia cordata H.B.K.), bem como determinar equações de calibração para o clorofilômetro. O efeito de F nos valores SPAD foi avaliado ao longo do dia, entre 07:00 e 17:00 h. As equações de calibração foram obtidas após determinar laboratorialmente os teores absolutos de clorofila. Aumentos em F causaram uma redução nos valores do SPAD nas espécies com os maiores teores de clorofila, sendo as reduções de 20% em M. cordata e 10% em H. guianensis. Folhas das espécies C. draconoides e H. courbaril tiveram menores conteúdos de clorofila e não apresentaram alterações nos valores de SPAD. A relação de clorofila a/b aumentou com os valores do SPAD e a relação entre valores SPAD/clorofila foi mais bem descrita por uma equação exponencial. F pode afetar os valores do SPAD em folhas com alto conteúdo de clorofila provavelmente em decorrência da desuniformidade na distribuição dos cloroplastos em alta irradiância. Isto indica que os valores do SPAD tendem a ser mais precisos se obtidos logo ao amanhecer, quando a irradiância é reduzida.

O relatório que aqui se apresenta centra-se na especificidade da modalidade de educação pré-escolar itinerante. Reconhece-se que a configuração desta modalidade requer uma dinâmica distinta do trabalho pedagógico, pelo seu funcionamento a tempo parcial, pelas características do espaço onde se desenvolve a acção, pelo tipo de materiais disponíveis e pelas características socioculturais de pertença das crianças. Através de uma abordagem qualitativa, seguindo a linha da investigação-acção, a educadora e as crianças, envolveram-se num processo de acção gerador de situações educativas que promovessem aprendizagens significativas, tendo por base os interesses das crianças. O estudo fundamentou-se nos princípios defendidos pelas pedagogias participativas de aprendizagem activa, experimentação e cooperação, sustentando-se na ideia de interesse proposta por Dewey (2002). Os dados recolhidos e analisados através de um processo descritivo e interpretativo parecem evidenciar que o trabalho pedagógico, que se desenvolve a partir da observação e escuta da criança contribui para a promoção de oportunidades de aprendizagem com significado. The report presented here focuses on the specificity of the modality of preschool itinerant. It is recognized that the configuration of this type requires a distinct dynamics of pedagogical work for their operation in a part of the day, the characteristics of the space where action is undertaken, the type of materials available and the sociocultural characteristics of belonging of children. Through a qualitative approach, following the line of action research, the teacher and children, engaged in a process of generating action educational situations that promote meaningful learning, based on the interest of children. The study was based on the principles espoused by participatory pedagogies of active learning experimentation and cooperation, supporting the idea of interest propped by Dewey (2002). Data collected and analyzed through a descriptive and interpretive process seem to indicate that the work of teaching, which develops from observing and listening to the child contributes to the promotion of opportunities for meaningful learning

50. Influência da luminosidade do sub-bosque no crescimento e características foliares de espécies arbóreas da Amazônia na fase juvenil

O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar o efeito da disponibilidade de luz do sub-bosque da floresta (inferida a partir da irradiância acima do dossel e dos valores de fração de céu visível-FCV no sub-bosque), no crescimento, nas características foliares (área foliar específica e espessura da folha) e taxas fotossintéticas (A) em dez espécies arbóreas na fase juvenil. Também foi estudado o efeito da variação diurna na A, e a relação entre A e as taxas de crescimento das arvoretas. O estudo foi realizado na Estação Experimental de Silvicultura Tropical (Núcleo ZF-2) do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia. Foram utilizadas espécies arbóreas, na fase juvenil, com até 3 m de altura. As trocas gasosas foram mensuradas com um sistema portátil de trocas gasosas utilizando-se duas folhas por planta e três plantas por espécie. Os dados de crescimento foram coletados nos anos de 2007 e 2008 e as demais variáveis foram coletadas nas épocas de chuva e seca de 2008. A fotossíntese saturada por luz (Amax) e a fotossíntese potencial da folha (Apot) foram medidas com luz saturante e concentração de CO2 em 380 μmol mol-1 e 2000 μmol mol-1 respectivamente. O efeito do horário do dia no movimento estomático e nas taxas fotossintéticas (Amax) foi avaliado mediante a coleta de dados entre 06:00 e 18:00h. Os conteúdos de clorofila e nitrogênio foliar foram obtidos respectivamente segundo os métodos de Arnon e Kjeldahl. Finalmente foi avaliado o efeito da irradiância do sub-bosque nas variáveis estudadas. A média de incremento anual em diâmetro (IAD) foi de 0,64 mm, enquanto que incremento anual em altura (IAA) as médias não ultrapassaram 0,08 m. Amax e a condutância estomática (gs) apresentaram forte variação diurna, sugerindo que a abertura dos estômatos nestas plantas seja modulada por fatores endógenos. Apot permaneceu relativamente constante ao longo do dia, mostrando pouca sensibilidade a variação em gs. Não houve efeito de Apot em IAA e IAD. Foi observado efeito das épocas do ano (seca e chuvosa) em Amax, índice de área foliar (IAF) e no conteúdo de clorofila. Na área de realização do estudo a média do IAF foi de 5,1, com os maiores índices obtidos na época de maior precipitação. A disponibilidade de luz no sub-bosque teve efeito significativo (p
