Este artigo inicia com o reconhecimento de que a voz narrativa presente nos segmentos em prosa na abertura e no final do livro de Jó (capítulos 1, 2 e 42.7-17) orienta o leitor na com- preensão do grande bloco poético do livro (capítulos 3 a 42.6). O passo seguinte constrói aná- lise comparativa com o poema de Adélia Prado: História de Jó, identificando a presença de citações e apropriações do bloco poético do livro bíblico. Por fim, explora a hipótese de que tal procedimento, ao eliminar o narrador original, permite a introdução de nova voz narrativa e a construção de novos sentidos.

As longas jornadas tocando o gado pelas estradas, as intempéries e os causos da viagem, além do trabalho comunitário da comitiva, tornaram a saga e a sina do peão de boiadeiro uma temática cíclica dos sertanejos de asfalto no último século, em meio a qual a produção de Almir Sater e de Renato Teixeira se destaca. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a representação do peão de boiadeiro em três canções compostas pelo duo – “Peão”, “Boiada” e “Tocando em frente” – guiados principalmente pelos conceitos de “narrador” (BENJAMIN, 2012), “visão romântica” (LÖWY; SAYRE, 2015) e “regionalismo” (ROSA; NOGUEIRA 2011). Com o inerente desaparecimento da profissão diante da modernidade representada pelo caminhão e as pavimentações das estradas, a imagem do peão de boiadeiro subsiste hodiernamente enquanto um mito de resistência à modernidade capitalista. Sater e Teixeira trazem em sua obra os desprazeres do avanço tecnológico à vida do homem do campo e como a desumanização é inerente a este processo. A partir da produção do duo desenvolveremos o debate sobre a poética regionalista enquanto uma forma de resistência à modernidade, não como um passadismo irrefletido, mas como uma condição incontornável da contemporaneidade.

Con el paso de los años, la literatura, en particular la minificción, ha simbolizado y convertido figuras, personajes y añadido referencias culturales, históricas y literarias importantes. Esto es destacable por el hecho de que las referencias, los textos base, los hipotextos, los originales, han ido tomando o disolviendo significados, cambiado por otros o mezclados con otros referentes de los contextos nuevos y actuales. Sin embargo, las figuras de enunciación conocidas también como narrador o referente (punto de referencia, inclusive) van cambiando, moviéndose y resignándose, cambiando el resto del texto y a él mismo.

O trabalho constitui-se de uma adaptação de um dos capítulos da dissertação de mestrado do autor, intitulada [retirado para manter a anonimidade] e aprovada em 15 de dezembro de 2023. Tensionando a leitura mais comum do romance, argumenta-se que não se teria exatamente um indireto livre e que a ideia de um coro de falantes populares não daria conta da complexidade do texto. Encontra-se, no lugar disso, um narrador cambaleante e um coro instável e cindido, e essas características são, por fim, lidas à luz do período anterior e, depois, contemporâneo ao lulismo, sendo a posição do subproletariado nesse processo histórico fundamental.

Este estudo comparativo entre a obra Ninguém nada nunca, de Juan José Saer, e O escritor morre à beira do rio, de Lucas Lazzaretti, analisa a construção do foco narrativo nessas obras. Assim, buscou-se verificar de que maneira os narradores são permeados por um discurso de autorreflexão, tendo como foco a ação de narrar e, por conseguinte, seus limites e possibilidades. Esse tipo de construção do foco suscita discussões bastante caras à poética do pós-modernismo. Por isso, este artigo empregou um aporte teórico com base, principalmente, no pensamento de Linda Hutcheon (1991), Silviano Santiago (2000), Wander Melo Miranda (2010), Ricardo Piglia (2016) e Beatriz Sarlo (2007), com vistas a analisar os processos constitutivos do foco narrativo desses romances e verificar sua possível inserção na corrente do pós-modernismo. Concluiu-se que tanto no romance argentino quanto no brasileiro havia traços comuns aos narradores pós-modernos, destacando-se a fragmentação dos discursos, que provoca a instabilidade dos relatos, e a autorreflexão sobre o ato de narrar.

Objetiva-se, neste trabalho, a partir de um olhar em direção ao eu narrador (presente) e ao eu narrado (passado), pensar nas características do narrador contemporâneo, observando como o elemento temporal atuou nesta personagem do romance Longe da água (2004), de Michel Laub. Em relação à metodologia, embasa-se na perspectiva narratológica de Gérard Genette (1979), e chega-se aos estudos de Sigmund Freud por deparar-se com a trajetória traumática do personagem protagonista de Michel Laub. Além disso, as reflexões de Jeanne Marie Gagnebin (2006), serão relevantes para a compreensão do papel da memória na construção do romance pelo herói-autor de Laub. Ao compreender que a trajetória traumática do protagonista liga-se diretamente às suas escolhas feitas no passado, vislumbra-se a presença do herói problemático no interior do romance e, assim, Georg Lukács (2000) será convidado à discussão. Espera-se que este trabalho resulte em compreensão de certas peculiaridades da literatura brasileira contemporânea, que parece assumir a difícil missão de representar o indivíduo como ser despedaçado por conflitos interiores.

This paper aims to reading on the representation of the migrant-child subject, space and gender violence in three Peruvian stories: "El ñiño de Junto al Cielo" (1954) by Enrique Congrains Martín, "Montacerdos" (1981) by Cronwell Jara Jiménez, and "Brisas III" (2015) by Gerónimo Chuquicaña Saldaña. For this, a comparative, descriptive-interpretive study was carried out on the selected stories. Likewise, the categories migrant subject and heterogeneity proposed by Antonio Cornejo Polar, the types of narrator and focalization according to Mieke Bal and Gerard Genette, and the studies on gender by Pierre Bourdieu, Judith Butler and Norma Fuller were taken place. The analysis and interpretation will demonstrate that factors such as spatial context, marginalization, and gender violence significantly influence the migrant status and identity of the child protagonists in these narratives. Este trabajo parte de considerar la publicación de Bomarzo (1962) de Manuel Mujica Lainez como un hito cultural que se impuso como un gran desafío para los cánones de lectura de la época. Las dificultades en la recepción de la obra, han quedado reflejadas en los testimonios críticos contemporáneos e, incluso, se aprecian evidencias de su persistencia años más tarde. En esa estela, resulta pertinente analizar la configuración del narrador, puesto que en su especificidad reside gran parte de la novedad de la novela. Para ello, además de tener en cuenta el componente fantástico, abordaremos la obra como una autoficción que jaquea los presupuestos historiográficos sostenidos, en gran medida, por la novela histórica de cuño tradicional.

The objects of analysis of this article are the novels Cidade de Deus (1997) and Desde que o samba é samba (2012), both by Paulo Lins from Rio de Janeiro. The hypothesis is that there is a historical perspective placed between the two works, which can be inferred based on the analysis of the narrators who want to be distant and impartial and, consequently, of their narrative points of view. The objective, therefore, is to characterize and examine the narrative points of view constructed in each of the novels in order to understand the tensions and historical and literary focuses of the works. Based on the accumulation of Brazilian criticism, it is concluded that the narrative points of view, amid clashes and tensions, of a formal and social order, arise from their historical moments of production. Este estudo insere-se no campo da leitura literária e pretende lançar um olhar à atuação do narrador como um mediador simbólico de leitura e, assim, responsável também por aproximar ou distanciar o leitor da obra. Nessa perspectiva, vê-se a literatura como meio de instrumentalização de leitores a fim de torná-los críticos e autores conscientes das reflexões necessárias para que, de forma livre e crítica, tomem suas decisões frente ao contexto em que estão inseridos. Assim sendo, com base no aporte teórico de estudiosos da leitura literária, da narrativa, do narrador e da mediação, analisamos o livro Percy Jackson e os deuses gregos, de Rick Riordan, e apresentamos uma proposta de mediação leitora realizada com adolescentes com idade entre 11 e 13 anos, em uma escola comunitária gaúcha. Entre os resultados obtidos, pode-se destacar a importância do processo descrito no estudo para a formação do perfil leitor dos estudantes, contribuindo com a prática docente e a seleção de narrativas pertinentes à proposta.

Este artigo propõe uma análise do conto “Mandiocal” escrito pela autora brasiliense Paulliny Tort e publicado no volume de contos intitulado Erva brava em 2021. Nesta investigação, adota-se uma abordagem de leitura próxima ao texto literário (Close Reading), enfocando elementos internos e estruturantes que se mostram relevantes para a compreensão da narrativa. Entre esses elementos, destaca-se a figura do narrador, cuja retórica desafia as fronteiras discursivas entre o foco narrativo e a voz dos personagens. Além disso, aborda-se a temática da morte, que permeia toda a narrativa, assumindo um papel simbólico, especialmente no diálogo com questões relacionadas à desigualdade social. Por meio dessa análise, busca-se também investigar a representação da fissura institucional, tanto nos signos verbais quanto nos signos não-verbais apresentados no conto. A disjunção entre as instâncias de poder denota, como mostraremos, a existência de dois mundos descompassados, em que o mundo institucionalizado é alheio à forma como a população interiorana vive, se organiza, e delibera sobre suas dissidências.

Resumo O presente estudo tem como objetivo construir um diálogo a partir dos narradores de Memórias póstumas de Brás Cubas e Dom Casmurro, publicados por Machado de Assis, em 1881 e 1889, respectivamente. Para tanto, baseando-se nos estudos e na crítica construída entorno desses livros, em especial, nos textos de Souza (2006), Hansen (2008), Schwarz (2000) e Caldwell (2008), a análise partirá das relações entre os narradores-protagonistas com as duas figuras femininas de maior destaque nos romances, respectivamente, Virgília e Capitu. Desse modo, ambas são aproximadas das musas da Antiguidade (HAVELOCK, 1996; KRAUSZ, 2007), uma vez que fazem desses "homens comuns" enunciadores de seus passados, reconstrutores de inúmeros fragmentos que compõem ambos os romances.

In o Sol se põe em São Paulo, Carvalho's writing promotes an exercise of alterity, enabling contact with the other and self-awareness. The narrator, who has been given the task of narrating a story that does not belong to him, starts to reflect on his own past and identity. Through the narrative exercise, his linguistic and cultural fracture expands, since he perceives in himself the lack of identification with the cultural repertoire that is part of his origins. From this space, from where he reports the origin of the other, his awareness of not belonging is reinforced, which intensifies his existential anguish. The breakdown of the bond with his origins leads to instability, fragmentation, hybridization, a game between being and seeming to be chosen as constituent elements of his identity. Therefore, the narrator realizes that his identity representation, as well as that of so many others, takes place through the narrative of the individual in transit, of the moving being, of the identity under construction. A partir de trabalhos críticos como os de Steven Bruhm (2006) e Robin Wood (2020), este artigo reflete sobre as relações entre a infância e o cri­me em obras novecentistas tributárias das poéticas negativas. Partimos da hipótese de que há dois modos de narração preponderantes: (i) narrado­res denunciadores, que evidenciam a monstruosidade infantil como uma consequência de problemas sociais; e (ii) narradores impassíveis, que, ao não oferecerem justificativas explícitas para a criminalidade infantil, ten­dem a apresentá-la como inata. Para ilustrarmos essas premissas, toma­mos o romance Capitães da Areia (1937), de Jorge Amado, e o conto “A Casa do Girassol Vermelho” (1947), de Murilo Rubião.

This article looks into the main components of one of the most renowned Faulknerian narrators, Quentin Compson, in That Evening Sun. It was part of These Thirteen, a book composed of Faulkner’s successful stories written during a turning point of his life: prior to the publication of his best-known novels (Sanctuary, The sound and Fury and As I lay Dying). This short story represents a crucial moment in Faulkner’s career, a period of seeking for an organic style that could comprehend the true nature and the poetic voice of the South. The proximity to death, structural racism and the postbellum conflicts on identity are present in the images that Quentin narrates in this short story. By being both emotionally involved in the course of events and maintaining a critically distant point of view, Quentin illustrates the complexity of narrative structure and elements implemented by Faulkner.

La decisión de Eugenio Cambaceres de publicar sin firma su obra inaugural –Potpourri. Silbidos de un vago (1882)– puede ser considerada un primer indicio de su manera de relacionarse con los nombres propios. El anonimato fue un factor relevante en el éxito escandaloso que alcanzó la novela; no menos decisivo que las indiscretas referencias –explícitas o implícitas (en clave)– a algunos sujetos reales. También fue anónima y muy vendida su segunda obra –Música sentimental (1884)–, que repetía el subtítulo de la anterior y le daba continuidad al vago, el innominado narrador cuyos rasgos hicieron que se lo identificara sin mediaciones con el autor. Cuando la novela aún no estaba consolidada en la literatura argentina, Cambaceres encontró en el manejo de los nombres propios una de las vías más fecundas para experimentar con el género novelístico y hacer sonar su propio nombre. Abstract Eugenio Cambaceres’ decision to publish his inaugural work –Potpourri. Silbidos de un vago (1882)– without signing it can be considered as a first indication of his way of relating to names. Anonymity was a relevant factor in the novel's scandalous success, not less decisive than the indiscreet references –explicit or implicit (coded)– to certain real subjects. His second work –Música sentimental (1884)– was both anonymous and successful too, and it repeated the subtitle of the first thus providing continuity to this “vago”, the unnamed narrator whose features caused him to be directly identified with the author. In times when the novel was not yet consolidated in Argentine literature, Cambaceres found –by means of his use of names– one of the most productive ways of exploring this genre and ultimately sounding his own name.

The present text aims to analyze the narrator, considering the absolute importance of the construction of such a figure, in the book O vendedor de passados, from the perspective of Discourse Analysis, specifically through the concept of discursive ethos, conceived within its enunciative scene. Thus, the description of the scenographic aspect, which composes the scene of the enunciation of the narrative, allows the understanding of Angolan life and identity in a post-colonial period and at the end of the Civil War in Angola territory. Given these conditions of investigation, this research verified that the discursive mechanisms that manufacture and reiterate the ethos of the narrator - explained through its objective tone, its fragile, shy, withdrawn but surviving character, and its whitish corporeality, of an animal rasteiro that sneaks around the corners of the house -- fit him into a stereotype of the post-war Angolan man. In this sense, it is possible to infer from the narrative, the characteristics that make up the ethos of the animalized man. Finally, it is possible to extend this discursive examination in the investigation of how the gecko's way of narrating the past, based on its ethos, promotes its fusion with the protagonist Felix Ventura by establishing reflections on the existence of this narrator. Este trabajo estudia la comparación del comportamiento de dos personajes literarios ante un conflicto moral: uno en la España del siglo XVII y otro en el Portugal del XIX. Cómo intervienen en el conflicto, las consecuencias que provocan y cómo lo cuenta el narrador de cada historia.

Propõe-se neste ensaio uma leitura comparativa entre contos de duas escritoras: “A troca e a tarefa”, da brasileira Lygia Bojunga Nunes, e “A biblioteca”, da portuguesa Dulce Maria Cardoso. O aporte teórico dessa leitura se dá pelo phármakon de Platão (2000) retomado por Jacques Der­rida (2005). Recorremos também às reflexões de Walter Benjamin (1994) em “O narrador: considerações sobre a obra de Nicolai Leskov”.

La narrativa de Rubem Fonseca está marcada por la búsqueda constante del destino y la condición humana. En sus cuentos y novelas se abordan temas cuyas perspectivas se orientan hacia la violencia; además, su estilo, directo y sin ambages, lo ha convertido en un escritor muy popular en el ámbito de la literatura latinoamericana contemporánea. En muchas de sus obras este escritor crea y recrea un mundo de ficción de la mano de un narrador que se encuentra alejado de los convencionalismos sociales, un marginal que actúa desvinculado de la ley y que pretende subvertir los roles sociales, como ocurre en su cuento “El cobrador”. En ese sentido, el presente documento se propone indagar, mediante postulados literarios teóricos clásicos, el modo en que Rubem Fonseca construye esta figura en uno de sus textos más emblemáticos.

En este artículo abordaremos la novela Balún-Canán (1957) escrita por Rosario Castellanos. Por un lado, nuestro análisis se centrará en dos personajes femeninos que consideramos claves dentro de la trama, estos son Matilde y la niña (a quien se le quita identidad al no nombrarla). Creemos que dichos sujetos femeninos, a pesar de pertenecer a una clase social elevada, ya sea por sus decisiones o por las que toman de agentes externos, se ven destinadas a la subalternidad, aspecto que se anuncia desde un inicio. De otro lado, también examinaremos cómo los sujetos subalternos pueden encontrar un espacio dentro de la literatura: por ejemplo, la representatividad que no poseen las mujeres en la trama la obtienen por momentos al instaurarse como narradores de la novela.

En este trabajo nos propusimos reflexionar sobre un acto fundacional de la arquitectura occidental. Entendemos que la escritura de Los diez libros de Arquitectura o De Architectvra de Vitruvio representa el gran acercamiento de las dos culturas clásicas que desde el Renacimiento hasta esta parte no dejan de participar en la discusión disciplinar, dos culturas que son tratadas como una, bajo el concepto de lo clásico. Sin embargo, fue el trabajo de Vitruvio institucionalizar el acercamiento de la una hacia la otra. En este análisis nos proponemos indagar, mediante el enfoque narratológico, cómo en la escritura de las introducciones de cada uno de los libros se materializó la figura retórica del exemplum para el posicionamiento tanto de la arquitectura griega como del propio Vitruvio en los tiempos de la Roma de Augusto.

El tema de la violencia ha sido protagonista en la novela colombiana del siglo xx. Con Los ejércitos de Evelio Rosero, en los albores del siglo xxi, el tratamiento literario de la violencia alcanza un nivel superior, no solo porque propone una nueva clave política para leer el país, sino porque su técnica narrativa permite comprender un problema fundamental del género hoy: la imposibilidad de narrar el horror de la guerra. Este artículo se propone analizar la forma narrativa de Los ejércitos con el fin de mostrar cómo las elecciones estéticas de Rosero logran construir un nuevo lenguaje a partir del cual se narra la experiencia de la violencia. Así, el enfoque metodológico de este artículo es doble. Por un lado, se hará un estudio formal de la obra y, por otro, se leerá desde una perspectiva histórica, que permita comprender su papel en la tradición de la novela sobre la violencia en Colombia.

This reflection aims to point out textual components to illustrate modes of discourse in José Saramago's narrative. Author's role, narrator's position, temporal ordering, tropological ties and updating of the historical novel, among other aspects, as we seek to demonstrate, are placed in order of a diversity of resources that contribute to the plurality of meanings, object and effect. of artistic force and comprehensive reach. French theorist Roland Barthes, after his famous conference of 1968, at the Collège de France, came to be cited as responsible for decreeing what says the metaphor that gives title to his text: The death of the author. Contrary to this aspect, the contemporary Portuguese novelist, José Saramago, will declare in his critical production The author as the narrator of his works, that is, affirming a certain nullity of the literary instance of the "narrator" by assuming it as performed by the author himself. Considering the author's place in the Barthesian reflection and the place granted to him in Saramaguian fiction, we seek to problematize this space occupied in order to ascertain the consonances and/or dissonances in the understanding of both, as well as its unsealing in the scene of literary narratology. This paper is a study about História do cerco de Lisboa (2011) by José Saramago. The aim is to stabelish relations between the literary work and the theory of irony and parody. We have sought, for, to spotlight aspects of these categories into the composition of the narrative considerating the critical hole of the narrator in the rebuilding of the historiographical happenings. From the consideration of this novel as a historiographical metafiction, we have noticed that, as through the irony mobilization as much as through the parody, it is has built into the narrative a critical saying created from the fiction in opposition to a crystallised historical speech considerated as the only one and absolute, the History of Tradition. We have supported on several studies which treat about the irony and the parody in the contemporary historical novel, developing our reading from the method of the textual criticism through a bibliographical research with an interpretative slant. As theoretical basis, we have relied on, among others, the ideas by Hutcheon (1989, 1991), Marinho (1999), Brandão (1945) and Calbucci (1999). In this article, we analyze the narrators of Baltasar and Blimunda and The Elephant's Journey, by José Saramago, through the comparison between the narrative methods that bring readers and narrators together. They have in common the stylistic resources, such as metalanguage and orality marks, which seek to establish communication with the reader. However, in Baltasar and Blimunda, there is a compelled writer, whose strategies demand repertoire and re-reading. In The Elephant's Journey, the language is less sophisticated and the narrator's reflections go beyond critical awareness, as he explains the facts and correlates them in order to broaden the reach of his message. To carry out the analyses, critical support from Hutcheon (1991), Adorno (2008), Bakhtin (2010), Benjamin (2010), Genette (1979) and Friedman (2002) is used, as well as part of the critical acclaim dedicated to Saramago's historiographical metafictions, especially Cerdeira (2018), Raoni (2002) and Cruz (2013). This article analyzes the novel A Pesquisa, by Juan José Saer, elucidating the ways in which the limits of reporting, interpretation, language and objectivity itself form the frame of this detective novel. The structure of the novel is formed by three macro levels, which unfold into others in an abysmal way. Pichón and his police report occupy the nerve center of the novel, as it brings investigator Morvan to the mystery surrounding a serial killer of French elderly women. Pichón's narrative, in turn, evokes a whole mythological and symbolic range that retrospectively illuminates the entire novel. At the same time, a discussion is developed around a novel entitled In the Greek Tents, which brings a whole discussion around the concept of fictional truth and truth of experience. To discuss these and other levels of narrative, we bring Adorno's comments about the narrator's position in moments of crisis in the act of narrating, in addition to symbolic reflections, which significantly expand the interpretive dimension of the work. In this way, we believe that we offer enough elements to productively maintain the interpretive aporia of Juan José Saer's novel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

"The story of an hour" (1894), by Kate Chopin, and "Amor" (1950), by Clarice Lispector, take part in the tradition of women's writing (écriture féminine) using short format literature to explore the theme of domestic and marital (un)happiness. Both short stories narrate in the third person the experiences of a solitary rapture in the lives of their protagonists, Louise and Anne, respectively. Centered on Wayne C. Booth's model of division between author, implied author, and narrator and Gérard Genette's reflections on these narrative instances, this investigation assumes that the authors are not the ones narrating the intimate experiences of these characters, but voices created by them. Who has the privilege of those voices? Based on part of the vast critical fortune of the authors, this study examines the hypothesis that the identity of those who perform the narrative function in these short stories varies according to the interpretation we make of the stories and their characters. Partindo de uma discussão sobre as dificuldades relativas à análise de Memórias do subsolo (1864), de Dostoiévski, tal como elas se manifestaram em diversos momentos da história da interpretação da novela, pretendo desenvolver uma série de considerações sobre a complexa relação entre o autor e seu narrador, analisando seus pontos de identificação e de oposição, e dialogando com diferentes abordagens críticas sobre esse tema.

Este trabalho apresenta como tema o relacionamento do narrador e suas memórias no romance Mil rosas roubadas, de Silviano Santiago. O objetivo concentra-se em averiguar o papel da morte de Zeca, no processo de autodescoberta do narrador-escritor. Para tanto, parte-se da hipótese de que a morte do amigo obriga a personagem-narradora a mergulhar em um processo de escrita que em muito poderá desvendar sentimentos não compreendidos no passado, além de provocar uma redefinição da condição de seu eu no mundo. Neste percurso, o ponto de partida para análise está alicerçado nos estudos narratológicos de Gérard Genette (1979), no entanto, no decorrer deste processo autores como Freud (1930) e (2011), Bakhtin (1997), Gagnebin (2006), entre outros, também serão convidados à discussão. Esta reflexão pretende resultar na compreensão de uma suposta presença paradoxal de morte e vida no romance de Santiago. Neste contexto, é possível que a morte do eu narrado precise ser decretada juntamente a de Zeca, para que o eu da enunciação com sua nova face de ficcionista possa finalmente nascer.

La sombra es la primera novela del escritor canario Benito Pérez Galdós (1843-1920). Aunque no obtuvo el mismo reconocimiento que sus obras de corte realista, ha resultado ser un exponente ejemplar de la literatura fantástica española decimonónica. En este trabajo se mencionará la función de su narrador como «enlace» o «censura», pues es uno de los elementos típicos de lo fantástico de la época. Asimismo, se destacarán las características que la hacen pertenecer a este género, con base en las definiciones de Tzvetan Todorov, Ana María Barrenechea y Ana María Morales, entre otros teóricos. Finalmente, se abordarán los distintos tipos de duplicidad que se presentan en la obra —objetiva y subjetiva; física y psicológica—, y se expondrán los motivos que hacen de La sombra una representante de la transición de lo fantástico terrorífico a lo fantástico interior.

Much has been said and researched about the importance of memory for the critical study of literature. From individual, autobiographical memory to the consolidations of phenomena proposed by collective memory, such as a myth, which passes from generation to generation, receiving updates. This work aims to make a comparative study between two works of different genres: the tale The Hell of Graciliano Ramos and the string The arrival of Lampião in the hell of José Pacheco. The purpose is to analyze how the narrator and the lyric, respectively, construct the image of the space of hell. With one of the main strands being the popular imagination and, more specifically, the Christian imagination. Starting from the premise of individual memory traced in Graciliano's tale and arriving at the collective considerations transmitted and perpetuated by the cordelistas. From the perspective of theorists such as Maurice Halbwachs, who contributes in an elucidating way with the advent of collective memory; Luis Alberto Brandão, who focuses on the expansion of the literary space; With the contributions of Carlos Alberto Nogueira and João Libânio, who make a historical investigation about the Christian imagination, we intend to understand that the imagination is constructed, propagated and re (invented) taking into account the cultural and moral aspects of a given social group, as well as persistence of some myths to this day. To this end, we still rely on Antonio Candido's theory of literature and society.

O presente artigo expõe uma leitura do relato Viaje al otro Brasil: Del Mato Grosso a la Amazonia y al Nordeste Atlántico, publicado em 2002, pelo espanhol Javier Nart. Essa obra apresenta uma visão (ou revisão) de Brasil, que será analisada aqui com base nas imagens produzidas pelo narrador que observa a terra visitada através de um referencial pessoal, traduzido por viagens realizadas anteriormente e por pessoas encontradas pelo caminho. Para tanto, utilizamos as considerações de Walter Benjamin (1994) como fundamentação teórica principal, tentando entender como o narrador benjaminiano tradicional dialoga com o narrador de viagens na construção do discurso narrativo.

In spite of the prominence acquired by dialogues among characters in creating a series, we cannot ignore that radio speech can be represented in turn by the narrators's presence. For this reason, in the present article the emblematic Taxi Key detective series has been selected as an object of study, in order to determine the narrators's appearance percentage in the series episodes, the narrator's typology that prevails and the main functions that plays in this fictional product. It is an exploratory study in which descriptive and inferential analyzes have been made from Taxi Key original radio scripts. The results of the study reveal that narrator's presence reaches the most significant prevalence in the episodes of the sample, being the autodiegetic narrator who stands as the most frequent type of narrator. Providing contextual information, acting as a nexus and transition device between scenes and assessing the characters or incorporating them on stage are the narrator's functions that prevail in this series that remained almost twenty years on Radio Barcelona network.

O presente texto visa refletir sobre a natureza do movimento teórico que a filósofa alemã e judia Hannah Arendt realiza de retorno a experiências da antiguidade grega e romana para pensar o tempo presente. Partindo da apresentação das criticas que são feitas à pensadora por alguns de seus interpretes, este texto buscará apresentar um modo alternativo de compreender o movimento de pensar que a filósofa realiza. Para tanto será realizada uma apropriação da noção de pensar contemporâneo do italiano Georgio Agamben e de narrador e colecionador de pérolas do alemão Walter Benjamin. Esse movimento com os autores possibilitará compreender o retorno de Hannah Arendt aos antigos não como um anacronismo ou nostalgia, mas como um elemento típico do pensador que se faz contemporâneo ao seu próprio tempo, e que no caso de Arendt resultará numa busca por perolas perdidas que reordenadas podem oferecer uma possibilidade de narrar a política do seu presente.
