Epithelioid sarcoma of the scalp as a primary site of origin is a rare occurrence a and has a broad differential diagnosis. The radiological features for each of the differential diagnoses are similar but sometimes can be very unique. The present case study provides relevance and significance in considering the possibility of primary epithelioid sarcoma while examining benign lumps with no skin ulceration or pain. The case report focuses on imaging features of epithelioid sarcoma while employing to describe the lesion using multimodality imaging in addition to Computer Tomography, early intervention in the form of complete excision of these tumours through surgery and primary repair when required. Adequate adjuvant treatment is needed following the excision, with the goal of preventing recurrences.

The year 2020 has been a challenging time with the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has forced the cancer departments globally to re-think and rearrange the ways cancers are treated. There were delays in surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. This case demonstrates the importance of multi-disciplinary teamwork and how a scientifically sound strategy and meticulous treatment planning can overcome the extra challenges in Oncology during the COVID19 pandemic.

The emergence of corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused a global public health emergency and the pandemic has forced the healthcare givers to organise their work differently to provide the same level of care to their patients. Meticulous planning and implementation of robust infection control, proper triage of patients, patient education and awareness and establishment of good command structure has become the norm. In this article we illustrate how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the oncology department in a tertiary centre in the Caribbean country of Antigua & Barbuda. We describe the changes in treatment decisions for outpatient and inpatient services along with a look at the ethical considerations and the well-being of the oncology team.
