The paper approaches the theoretical and experimental analysis of the level of exhaust gas pollution in a protected nature environmental, located in the mountain area, for excavation a trench. Due to the legislative provisions prohibiting the use of explosives in the nature reservation or other protected nature environmental areas, the mechanized excavation solution remains the only viable option. Excavation the trench through the mechanized solution must be carried out, taking into account the maximum level of pollution with exhaust gases provided in the legislative norms. According to the geotechnical data, the rock composition to be excavated on the route will be of different hardness, which involves impactors of various powers to displace the rock, on the one hand, and on the other, different excavators and bulldozers for the handling the material resulted from excavation. The theoretical research required to solve the problem has several stages, of which we mention: choosing the correct mechanization solution for displacing the hard and very hard rock; determination of fuel consumption, and energy consumption, respectively, transformation of the energy consumed in the liquid fuel necessary for the tool driving engines, and which generate exhaust gases.

Development of human society also implies modernization, respectively extension a road and railway transport structures. From this perspective, in order to achieve performance in the field of traffic safety, actions are also required to monitor the slopes, tailings dumps (active or greened) adjacent to transport routes where there are uncertainties regarding their stability. Ignoring stability and landslides can lead to loss of life, as well as significant material damage. Thus, the paper mainly addresses the issue of monitoring the slopes adjacent to road and rail transport routes where there are uncertainties regarding the control of landslides, as well as possibility of alerting before this occurs. From the multitude of possible solutions to be applied in the field, an equipment was developed and realized, which was experienced in real working conditions, and the results confirm validity of assumptions and certify the operation.

The separation of particles with big inertial mass transported in the air, is most often done with the help of cyclones, due to their resistance to wear at contact with abrasive particles. However, pneumatic conveying of heavy and abrasive granular material mixed with fines, are problematic even for cyclone hardened inlets. The paper studies a new method of dividing the main airflow in two airstreams, one further divided in more smaller streams to achieve the laminar regime, by using a corrugated shaped inlet. Thus generating an improvement in impact resistance, overall cyclone grade efficiency and decreasing pressure drop.

The general topic of this paper is to study the possibilities of using renewable energy sources to supply urban consumers electricity, consumers located in areas affected by industrial restructuring. This carries out a comprehensive study on the possibilities of using renewable energy sources in the Motru Basin area. Moreover, creation a mix capable of producing the electricity needed by the inhabitants, in household consumption and not only, is being studied. The entry of free energy market has brought about the alignment with competitive conditions and observance of pollution regulations in force, and energy production has determined retrofitting or restriction of the activity of some thermal power plants due to non-competitive costs for primary energy resources. Our country has a diversified and balanced energy mix (hydropower, nuclear energy, coal and natural gas) but it must be complemented by renewable sources (wind, solar, biomass) to provide stability and energy safety prospects.

In this context, a solution to the above problems is to increase the rate of production of electricity from renewable energy sources. Thus, the paper presents a study of wind energy as a source of renewable energy, their modelling and simulation for the Motru area.

Explosion-type accidents can cause significant human losses and material damages; therefore, special attention has to be granted to explosion risk assessments and to the development of appropriate explosion-protection measures. Such measures of protection aim to reduce the explosion risk to acceptable levels, in compliance with regulations and standards in force, so as to provide the proper safety level for humans as well as to prevent damage to the surrounding goods and environment. The flash-point, explosivity limits and oxygen concentration limit and define the properties of combustion of flammable substances. A certain material all by itself does not represent an explosion hazard, but in contact or in mixture with air may generate an explosion hazard. In this regard, the properties of the air-flammable substance mixture have to be determined. These properties provide information about the reaction to the firing of a substance and whether it can give rise to fire or explosion. The present work examines the protective systems intended to limit the effects of an explosion and proposes an automatic system intended for reducing shock waves that occur as a result of an explosion in an enclosed space. Mining wastes display a special condition depending on the category they represent (dangerous or non-dangerous). There are various types of mining waste treatment (mechanical, physical, biological, thermic or chemical processes or a combination of processes applied to mineral resources). Due to the amount of such types of waste and their impact on the environment, they are considered to have a high potential for being promoted in the context of circular economy. The paper addresses the problem of determining the coefficients of use over time to the theoretical level and at the level applied in reference to extraction complexes used in open-pit lignite exploitation. In this sense, for the first time in our country we achieved a mathematical statistical analysis of how the elements of the system for extracting from a database by means of empirical processed malfunctions of the highest topical. There were significant correlations between obtained a set of parameters that influence the performance of the operation. Inspection is an action that comprises the examination of electrical equipment to be performed without dismantling or with partial removal, where applicable, supplemented by means such as measurements to reach a certain conclusion regarding the state of the equipment in question. Maintenance is a combination of all actions taken in order to maintain or restore an object given that it is able to meet the relevant specifications and requirements to perform its set functions. The paper presents the most important aspects to be taken into account when carrying out inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment used in explosive atmosphere with type of protection flameproof enclosure "d" and increased safety "e" to ensure functionality and the type of protection equipment for safe operation. Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs) or drones provide real-time information. This kind of systems have advantages of being able to replace humans working in dangerous and unreachable environments in order to reduce working accidents and avoid casualties. Other benefits of UAVs in mining industry are safety and security, productivity and data field collection. The use of drones in mining has proved to be an ideal way of discovering new areas of interest being a vital tool in the extraction process. Vast areas can now be covered in a short space of time and new data can be available, both of them being more vital now than ever taking into account that raw materials are in short supply and high demand. To highlight changes in blood oxygen saturation and heart rate, tests were conducted for two teams of three rescuers are protected by protective breathing apparatus open circuit based air and positive pressure. The measurements were performed in blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate from each Save at the ambient temperature of 200C. Measurements were repeated in each stage of temperature increase of 50C to 450C maximum. In the work, it has been observed that as the temperature and humidity in the chamber increase the workout, the rescuer and the pulse increase blood oxygen saturation decreases. Following tests carried out by rescuers on the shooting training there was a direct correlation, according to the submission of a significant amount of effort between the growth temperature and humidity environment and changing the parameters of physiological of rescuers (pulse and oxygen saturation in the blood), which will allow for the identification of higher temperature limits in the intervention area so that saviors can operate safely. The purpose of these papers is to minimize the importance of technology, ignoring its basic role in constructing technical products can lead to a substantial increase in the workload and the consumption of material necessary for their manufacture and consequently to the increase in the costs for their manufacture. As regards the design activity, it is necessary to automate the main stages, which are: conceptual design, analysis and technological design. It is noteworthy that the analysis part is an integral part of the design process. The purpose of this paper is, on the one hand, to set the kinematics of the mining extraction system used for the mechanization of well drilling and, on the other hand, o perform calculations to verify the metal structure of the metal tower of extraction system, both by classic analytical calculation as well as by the finite element method.
