Whenever, the Internet of Things (IoT) applications and devices increased, the capability of the its access frequently stressed. That can lead a significant bottleneck problem for network performance in different layers of an end point to end point (P2P) communication route. So, an appropriate characteristic (i.e., classification) of the time changing traffic prediction has been used to solve this issue. Nevertheless, stills remain at great an open defy. Due to of the most of the presenting solutions depend on machine learning (ML) methods, that though give high calculation cost, where they are not taking into account the fine-accurately flow classification of the IoT devices is needed. Therefore, this paper presents a new model based on the Spike Neural Network (SNN) called IoT-Traffic Classification (IoT-TCSNN) to classify IoT devices traffic. The model consists of four phases: data preprocessing, feature extraction, classier and evaluation. The proposed model performance is evaluated according to evaluation metrics: accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score and energy usage in comparison with two models: ML based Support Vector Machine IoT-TCSVM and ML based Deep Neural Network (IoT-TCDNN). The evaluations result has been shown that IoT-TCSNN consumes less energy in contrast to IoT-TCDNN and IoT-TCSVM. Also, it gives high accuracy in comparison with IoT-TCSVM.

Software Defined Networking (SDN) with centralized control provides a global view and achieves efficient network resources management. However, using centralized controllers has several limitations related to scalability and performance, especially with the exponential growth of 5G communication. This paper proposes a novel traffic scheduling algorithm to avoid congestion in the control plane. The Packet-In messages received from different 5G devices are classified into two classes: critical and non-critical 5G communication by adopting Dual-Spike Neural Networks (DSNN) classifier and implementing it on a Virtualized Network Function (VNF). Dual spikes identify each class to increase the reliability of the classification. Different metrics have been adopted to evaluate the proposed classifier's effectiveness: accuracy, precision, recall, Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC), and F1-Score. Compared with a convolutional neural network (CNN), the simulation results confirmed that the DSNN model could enhance traffic classification accuracy by 5%. The efficiency of the priority model also has been demonstrated in terms of Round Trip Time (RTT).

The paper proposes a methodology for predicting packet flow at the data plane in smart SDN based on the intelligent controller of spike neural networks(SNN). This methodology is applied to predict the subsequent step of the packet flow, consequently reducing the overcrowding that might happen. The centralized controller acts as a reactive controller for managing the clustering head process in the Software Defined Network data layer in the proposed model. The simulation results show the capability of Spike Neural Network controller in SDN control layer to improve the (QoS) in the whole network in terms of minimizing the packet loss ratio and increased the buffer utilization ratio.

Governmental establishments are maintaining historical data for job applicants for future analysis of predication, improvement of benefits, profits, and development of organizations and institutions. In e-government, a decision can be made about job seekers after mining in their information that will lead to a beneficial insight. This paper proposes the development and implementation of an applicant's appropriate job prediction system to suit his or her skills using web content classification algorithms (Logit Boost, j48, PART, Hoeffding Tree, Naive Bayes). Furthermore, the results of the classification algorithms are compared based on data sets called "job classification data" sets. Experimental results indicated that the algorithm j48 had the highest precision (94.80%) compared to other algorithms for the aforementioned dataset.

The evolution in the field of Artificial Intelligent (AI) with its training algorithms make AI very important in different aspect of the life. The prediction problem of behavior of dynamical control system is one of the most important issue that the AI can be employed to solve it. In this paper, a Convolutional Multi-Spike Neural Network (CMSNN) is proposed as smart system to predict the response of nonlinear dynamical systems. The proposed structure mixed the advantages of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with Multi -Spike Neural Network (MSNN) to generate the smart structure. The CMSNN has the capability of training weights based on a proposed training algorithm. The simulation results demonstrated that the proposed structure has the ability to predict the response of dynamical systems more powerful than with the CNN. The proposed structure is more powerful than the CNN by 28.33% in terms of minimizing the root mean square error.

The prevalence of using the applications for the internet of things (IoT) in many human life fields such as economy, social life, and healthcare made IoT devices targets for many cyber-attacks. Besides, the resource limitation of IoT devices such as tiny battery power, small storage capacity, and low calculation speed made its security a big challenge for the researchers. Therefore, in this study, a new technique is proposed called intrusion detection system based on spike neural network and decision tree (IDS-SNNDT). In this method, the DT is used to select the optimal samples that will be hired as input to the SNN, while SNN utilized the non-leaky integrate neurons fire (NLIF) model in order to reduce latency and minimize devices’ power usage. Also, a rand order code (ROC) technique is used with SNN to detect cyber-attacks. The proposed method is evaluated by comparing its performance with two other methods: IDS-DNN and IDS-SNNTLF by using three performance metrics: detection accuracy, latency, and energy usage. The simulation results have shown that IDS-SNNDT attained low power usage and less latency in comparison with IDS-DNN and IDS-SNNTLF methods. Also, IDS-SNNDT has achieved high detection accuracy for cyber-attacks in contrast with IDS-SNNTLF.

The important device in the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is the Sink Node (SN). That is used to store, collect and analyze data from every sensor node in the network. Thus the main role of SN in WSN makes it a big target for traffic analysis attack. Therefore, securing the SN position is a substantial issue. This study presents Security for Mobile Sink Node location using Dynamic Routing Protocol called (SMSNDRP), in order to increase complexity for adversary trying to discover mobile SN location. In addition to that, it minimizes network energy consumption. The proposed protocol which is applied on WSN framework consists of 50 nodes with static and mobile SN. The results havw shown in each round a dynamic change in the route to reach mobile SN, besides prolong the network lifetime in compare with static SN.

An intelligent software defined network (ISDN) based on an intelligent controller can manage and control the network in a remarkable way. In this article, a methodology is proposed to estimate the packet flow at the sensing plane in the software defined network-Internet of Things based on a partial recurrent spike neural network (PRSNN) congestion controller, to predict the next step ahead of packet flow and thus, reduce the congestion that may occur. That is, the proposed model (spike ISDN-IoT) is enhanced with a congestion controller. This controller works as a proactive controller in the proposed model. In addition, we propose another intelligent clustering controller based on an artificial neural network, which operates as a reactive controller, to manage the clustering in the sensing area of the spike ISDN-IoT. Hence, an intelligent queuing model is introduced to manage the flow table buffer capacity of the spike ISDN-IoT network, such that the quality of service (QoS) of the whole network is improved. A modified training algorithm is introduced to train the PRSNN to adjust its weight and threshold. The simulation results demonstrate that the QoS is improved by (14.36%) when using the proposed model as compared with a convolutional neural network.

The directing of a wheeled robot in an unknown moving environment with physical barriers is a difficult proposition. In particular, having an optimal or near-optimal path that avoids obstacles is a major challenge. In this paper, a modified neuro-controller mechanism is proposed for controlling the movement of an indoor mobile robot. The proposed mechanism is based on the design of a modified Elman neural network (MENN) with an effective element aware gate (MEEG) as the neuro-controller. This controller is updated to overcome the rigid and dynamic barriers in the indoor area. The proposed controller is implemented with a mobile robot known as Khepera IV in a practical manner. The practical results demonstrate that the proposed mechanism is very efficient in terms of providing shortest distance to reach the goal with maximum velocity as compared with the MENN. Specifically, the MEEG is better than MENN in minimizing the error rate by 58.33%.

In this paper, a Modified Weighted Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (MW-LEACH) protocol is implemented to improve the Quality of Service (QoS) in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) with mobile sink node. The Quality of Service is measured in terms of Throughput Ratio (TR), Packet Loss Ratio (PLR) and Energy Consumption (EC). The protocol is implemented based on Python simulation. Simulation Results showed that the proposed protocol provides better Quality of Service in comparison with Weighted Low Energy Cluster Hierarchy (W-LEACH) protocol by 63%.

Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs) are a type of sensor network that contains sensor nodes equipped with cameras, microphones; therefore the WMSNS are able to produce multimedia data such as video and audio streams, still images, and scalar data from the surrounding environment. Most multimedia applications typically produce huge volumes of data, this leads to congestion. To address this challenge, This paper proposes Modify Spike Neural Network control for Traffic Load Parameter with Exponential Weight of Priority Based Rate Control algorithm (MSNTLP with EWBPRC). The Modify Spike Neural Network controller (MSNC) can calculate the appropriate traffic load parameter μ for each parent node and then use in the EWPBRC algorithm to estimate the transmission rate of parent nodes and then assign a suitable transmission rate for each child node. A comparative study between (MSNTLP with EWBPRC) and fuzzy logic controller for traffic load parameter with Exponential Weight of Priority Based Rate Control algorithm (FTLP with EWBPRC) algorithm shows that the (MSNTLP with EWBPRC) is more efficient than (FTLP with EWBPRC) algorithm in terms of packet loss, queue delay and throughput. Another comparative study between (MSNTLP with EWBPRC) and EWBPRC with fixed traffic load parameter (µ) shows that the MSNTLP with EWBPRC is more efficient than EWBPRC with fixed traffic load parameter (µ) in terms of packet loss ratio and queue delay. A simulation process is developed and tested using the network simulator _2 (NS2) in a computer having the following properties: windows 7 (64-bit), core i7, RAM 8GB, hard 1TB.

In this paper, precision agriculture system is introduced based on Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Soil moisture considered one of environment factors that effect on crop. The period of irrigation must be monitored. Neural network capable of learning the behavior of the agricultural soil in absence of mathematical model. This paper introduced modified type of neural network that is known as Spiking Neural Network (SNN). In this work, the precision agriculture system is modeled, contains two SNNs which have been identified off-line based on logged data, one of these SNNs represents the monitor that located at sink where the period of irrigation is calculated and the other represents the soil. In addition, to reduce power consumption of sensor nodes Modified Chain-Cluster based Mixed (MCCM) routing algorithm is used. According to MCCM, the sensors will send their packets that are less than threshold moisture level to the sink. The SNN with Modified Spike-Prop (MSP) training algorithm is capable of identifying soil, irrigation periods and monitoring the soil moisture level, this means that SNN has the ability to be an identifier and monitor. By applying this system the particular agriculture area reaches to the desired moisture level.

Data centric techniques, like data aggregation via modified algorithm based on fuzzy clustering algorithm with voronoi diagram which is called modified Voronoi Fuzzy Clustering Algorithm (VFCA) is presented in this paper. In the modified algorithm, the sensed area divided into number of voronoi cells by applying voronoi diagram, these cells are clustered by a fuzzy C-means method (FCM) to reduce the transmission distance. Then an appropriate cluster head (CH) for each cluster is elected. Three parameters are used for this election process, the energy, distance between CH and its neighbor sensors and packet loss values. Furthermore, data aggregation is employed in each CH to reduce the amount of data transmission which lead to extend the network lifetime and reduce the traffic that may be accrue in the buffer of sink node. Each cluster head collected data from its members and forwards it to the sink node. A comparative study between modified VFCA and LEACH protocol is implemented in this paper and shows that the modified VFCA is more efficient than LEACH protocol in terms of network lifetime and average energy consumption. Another comparative study between modified VFCA and K-Means clustering algorithm is presented and shows that the modified VFCA is more efficient than K-Means clustering algorithm in terms of packets transmitted to sink node, buffer utilization, packet loss values and running time. A simulation process is developed and tested using Matlab R2010a program in a computer having the following properties: windows 7 (32-bit operating system), core i7, RAM 4GB, hard 1TB.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are event-driven network systems consist of many sensors node which aredensely deployed and wirelessly interconnected that allow retrieving of monitoring data. In Wireless sensor network,whenever an event is detected, the data related to the event need to be sent to the sink node (data collection node). Sink nodeis the bottleneck of network there may be chance for congestion due to heavy data traffic. Due to congestion, it leads to dataloss; it may be important data also. To achieve this objective, soft computing based on Neural Networks (NNs) CongestionController approach is proposed. The NN is activated using wavelet activation function that is used to control the traffic ofthe WSN. The proposed approach which is called as Modified Neural Network Wavelet Congestion Control (MNNWCC), hasthree main activities: the first one is detecting the congestion as congestion level indications; the second one is estimated thetraffic rate that the upstream traffic rate is adjusted to avoid congestion in next time, the last activates of the proposedapproach is improved the Quality of Services (QoS), by enhancement the Packet Loss Ratio (PLR), Throughput (TP), BufferUtilization (BU) and Network Energy (NE) . The simulation results show that the proposed approach can avoid the networkcongestion and improve the QoS of network.

In this paper, Modified Genetic Algorithm (MGA*) and Modified Particle Swarm Optimization (MPSO* ) are developed to increase the capability of the optimization algorithms for a global path planning which means that environment models have been known already. The proposed algorithms read the map of the environment which expressed by grid model and then creates an optimal or near optimal collision free path. The effectiveness of these optimization algorithms for mobile robot path planning is demonstrated by simulation studies. This paper investigates the application of efficient optimization algorithms, MGA* and MPSO* to the problem of mobile robot navigation. Despite the fact that Genetic Algorithm (GA) has rapid search and high search quality, infeasible paths and high computational cost problems are exist associated with this algorithm. To address these problems, the MGA* is presented. Adaptive population size without selection and mutation operators are used in the proposed algorithm. In this thesis, Distinguish Algorithm (DA) is used to check the paths, whether the path is feasible or not, in order to come out with all feasible paths in the population. Improvements presented in MPSO* are mainly trying to address the problem of premature convergence associated with the original PSO. In the MPSO* an error factor is modelled to ensure that the PSO converges. MPSO* try to address another problem which is the population may contain many infeasible paths. A modified procedure is carrying out in the MPSO* to solve the infeasible path problem. According to the simulation done using MATLAB version R2012 (m-file), both algorithms (MGA* and MPSO*) are tested in different environments and the results are compared. The results demonstrate that these two algorithms have a great potential to solve mobile robot path planning with satisfactory results in terms of minimizing distance and execution time. The simulation results illustrate that the path obtained by MGA* is the shortest path, however the execution time based on MPSO* is significantly smaller than the execution time of MGA*. Thus, the proposed MPSO* is computationally faster than the MGA* in finding optimal path. 1 The (*) used to distinguish the proposed modified algorithms (MGA and MPSO) from the previous modified algorithms.

An efficient networks’ energy consumption and Quality of Services (QoS) are considered the most important issues, to evaluate the route quality of the designed routing protocol in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). This study is presented an evaluation performance technique to evaluate two routing protocols: Secure for Mobile Sink Node location using Dynamic Routing Protocol (SMSNDRP) and routing protocol that used K-means algorithm to form Data Gathered Path (KM-DGP), on small and large network with Group of Mobile Sinks (GMSs). The propose technique is based on QoS and sensor nodes’ energy consumption parameters to assess route quality and networks’ energy usage. The evaluation technique is conducted on two routing protocols in two phases: The first phase is used to evaluate the route quality and networks’ energy consumption on small WSN with one mobile Sink Node (SN) and GMSs. The second phase, is used to evaluate the route quality and networks’ energy consumption on large network (four WSNs) with GMSs. The two phases are implementated by creating five sceneries via using NS2.3 simulator software. The implementation results of the proposed performance evaluation technique have demonstrated that SMSNDRP gives better networks’ energy consumption on small single network in comparison with KM-DGP. Also, it gives high quality route in large network that used four mobile SN, in contrast to KM-DGP that used sixteen mobile SNs. While in large network, it found that KM-DGP with sixteen mobile SNs gives better networks’ energy consumption in comparison with SMSNDRP with four mobile SNs.

paper the modified identification method for nonlinear systems is proposed based on Recurrent Spiking Neural Networks (RSNN). Spike Response Model (SRM) has been employed in the modification method. The learning of the parameters of RSNN is based on modified backpropagation algorithm which is known as SpikeProp. In the identification of a variety of types of nonlinear systems, a coding equation is applied to convert real numbers into spike times. The RSNN structure is tested for the identification of the nonlinear systems. The simulation results show that the proposed modification method provides a good performance in terms of execution time and minimizing error in the training phase. .
