Abstract

Investigating the performance and productivity level of different energy consuming sectors in all countries is an inevitable action. This procedure will be conducted by comparing the energy input and the output of the system which is vital to ensure that the system is used properly. The proper utilization of systems will lead to more efficiency in the energy consumption section. One of the most important tasks in this type of study is the analysis of uncertainty indicators. The analysis and evaluation of uncertainty indices in energy consumption system is a tool that prioritizes the indicators in terms of importance and impact on each of the consumption targets. These consumption goals include energy, environmental, technical, economical, and social objectives. Ultimately, the output data of the uncertainty analysis will be very helpful for making the system more reliable and usable. In this study, we first introduced different sectors of the energy consumption system in Finland and examined each of these sectors in terms of physical and environmental goals. Then the uncertainty indexes in different sectors are extracted, evaluated qualitatively and quantified using the fuzzy logic method. Finally, indicators are prioritized based on the level of effectiveness and uncertainty. According to the results of this research, among 44 considered indices, the security of energy supply, carbon emission, equivalent annual cost, reliability, and political acceptability are respectively the most important indices for energy, environmental, economic, technical and social goals.

Abstract

Innovation management in the primary health care centers is one of the important debates among the governments and academic forums. Although the number of studies in the field of innovation in health care sectors has increased over the last 10 years, little is known about the conditions for the successful implementation of innovations in the health care centers. In this paper, we review and assess the situation of Finnish health care centers from innovation management viewpoint. We try to answer one of the important questions designed by policy makers: “How can Finnish health care centers move toward systems that continuously improve their innovation and creativity?” The presented framework describes the main characters and dimensions of diffusion of ideation and innovation in the health care centers. Inovacijski management v centrih za primarno zdravstveno oskrbo je ena od poglavitnih tem diskusije tako v državnih ustanovah kot med raziskovalci. Čeprav je v zadnjih letih naraslo število raziskav na temo inoviranja, malo vemo o pogojih za uspešno uvedbo inovacij v zdravstvenih centrih za primarno oskrbo. V članku je podan pregled situacije na Finskem z vidika inovacijskega managementa. Poskušamo odgovoriti na vprašanje: kako se lahko centri za zdravstveno oskrbo na Finskem razvijejo v sisteme, ki stalno dvigajo svojo kvaliteto in inovativnost? Predstavljeno ogrodje opisuje glavne značilnosti in razsežnosti prodiranja mišljenja in inovacij v centre za zdravstveno oskrbo.

Byline: Lorna Uden, Marja Naaranoja Service innovation is important in today's world economy. It is the current focus of many businesses. The reason is that services today represent 80% of most developed countries' GDP and a growing percentage of the developing countries' GDP. Organisations today can no longer compete solely on providing superior service on their core products, instead, they must move into customer relationship management through the co-evolution of memorable experiences with their customers. This means providing better services for their customers. SMEs are a breeding ground for service innovation. Currently there is very little literature existing concerning the role of SMEs in service innovation. This paper aims to shed some light on identifying the drivers for the application of service innovation for SMEs using a case study from Finland. The case study shows the processes that are important for an SME in service innovation. Central to this is the importance of co-creation of value between provider and customers based on the service dominant logic of marketing. In the paper, emphasis is put on the importance of sustaining relationship with customers by constantly focusing on the quality of customer interactive experiences with the provider to maintain the co-creation of value.

Abstract

Due to the diversified potentials of renewable energies in Iran, exploitation deployment of these resources as cleaner energies is one of the suggested strategies to minimize the fossil fuel usage and reduce the environmental footprints. In this relate in order to have the application of renewable energy economically, the government tries to diffuse these resources pervasively by private sectors supporting. As investment behaviour depends on the investment risk, investors have obscurities and concerns about entering and investing in this market in Iran. These concerns indicate a set of important investment indicators which are considerable from private sector viewpoint. This research based on previous investigations of the authors, discusses about selecting the optimal renewable sources for investment from private sector viewpoint in each identified investment indicators. The results clearly define the situation of each alternative in each index.

Abstract

Byline: Nan Bing Chong, Lorna Uden, Marja Naaranoja Construction projects are often running late, exceed the budget and, in many cases, result in failure. This is not different in Finland. The authors have been asked by the Finnish local government to investigate the causes of failure and suggest ways to improve the problems. Studies we have conducted revealed several reasons for the failures. One of the main reasons given for the failure was that there was a lack of management in construction projects. Knowledge is now perceived by most organisations in the construction industry as a vital organisational resource and the source of competitiveness. It was perceived by stakeholders (and us) that there was an urgent need to help the construction industry to deliver their projects efficiently in the face of tight budgets. We have developed an Open Application Sharing Knowledge Management System (OASKMS) to support the project design and the development and evaluation of the OASKMS system for Vaasa city construction department. This paper describes the development and principles of OASKMS.
