The Pannonian Basin is one of the best natural laboratories in the world to study the lithospheric response to continental extension and subsequent tectonic inversion. Here we address the topic of lithospheric structure by a combined geochemical and magnetotelluric analysis, which has been carried out in the framework of the Pannon LitH2Oscope project. The main objective was to detect the resistivity distribution over the entire lithosphere by magnetotelluric measurements, considering the lithological resistivity properties and relate the results to the structure and evolution of the Pannonian Basin. The Pannon LitH2Oscope MT array was used to estimate the depth of the Lithosphere-Asthenosphere Boundary (LAB), considering the legacy MT data and compared to previous estimates for the region. Using the MT and geomagnetic response functions, major structural zones of the Pannonian basin, such as the Mid-Hungarian Shear Zone or fault systems like the Makó Trough and the Békés Basin, were also imaged. In addition, we used the apparent resistivity soundings to compare 1D resistivity models computed from geochemistry and obtained from field MT measurements. This comparison provided new constrains for the composition, fluid and melt content variations at the local lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary. The Pannon LitH2Oscope MT dataset and the results presented in this paper provide input for more complex 3D inversions and further investigations of the lithospheric structure in the Carpathian-Pannonian region. The transition area between the Pannonian Basin and the East Carpathians is the subject of considerable tectonic research in Central Europe because of its geological diversity, especially for Lithosphere–Asthenosphere Boundary determinations. The major objective of this study is to investigate the Earth’s lithospheric structure and in particular to determine the Lithosphere–Asthenosphere Boundary from the Pannonian Basin, through the Transylvanian Basin to the Carpathian Bend area. We recorded six new deep magnetotelluric soundings and used two archive measurements to complete the information and to put additional constraints on the depth of the Lithosphere–Asthenosphere Boundary. In the part of the discussions we provide a brief overview of the existing various methodologies and Lithosphere–Asthenosphere Boundary determinations for the wider Carpathian–Pannonian region and Europe and comparison with new magnetotelluric results. The lowest Lithosphere–Asthenosphere Boundary depth was detected in the Pannonian Basin (~50 km). Our results indicate in addition that the Lithosphere-Asthenosphere Boundary beneath the Transylvanian Basin (~70–80 km) is not thick and much thinner than those of the European and Moesian Platforms. The additional geophysical information (geomagnetic data and phase tensor results) detected the presence of deep well conductive zones towards the Pannonian Basin, the Bogdan Vodă–Dragoș Vodă fault and the East Carpathians. This could be explained by the elevated position of the well conductive asthenosphere in the Pannonian Basin and deep and presumably fluid rich tectonic zones associated with the Bogdan Vodă–Dragoș Vodă fault and the East Carpathians. The phase tensors highlighted that the most complex tectonic zones are present in the vicinity of the East Carpathians (where the average Lithosphere–Asthenosphere Boundary depth is >100 km), which is in line with the relatively young age of the mountain belt and the very complex nature of collisional orogens. Introduction: The high Body Mass Index and high body fat percentage are mentioned as factors influencing the severity of the course of COVID-19 disease. Our aim was to examine, in relation to their symptoms, the measured and estimated parameters of those included in the lifestyle program established by the armed forces suffering from mild to moderate COVID-19 disease. Sample and Methods: The average age of the examined sample (n=18) was 45.2 years. The average body weight for women was (n=8) 78.5 kg, for men 106.2 kg, the average body fat percentage for women was 40.6% and for men 30.6%. The instruments used for the examination were a BIA 500 (800/µA, 50 kHz), an Omron BF 511 body composition monitor, an ECG Cardioscan monitor, and a DYNA-19 hand grip dynamometer. We applied a two-sample T-test in the examination. Differences with p < 0.05 were considered statistically. Statistical calculations were performed in R environment with R-Studio program. Results: The higher phase angle was characteristic at lower (p=0.04) and shorter (p=0.05) body temperatures. Higher body fat percentages were observed in the case of prolonged coughing (p=0.04). Lower cardiac function values were associated with higher fever (p=0.05) and difficulty in breathing (p=0.02), while higher cardiac stress percentage was associated with the appearance of chest pain (p=0.02) and higher fever (p=0.04). Conclusion: It was not the location of adipose tissue but the magnitude of its amount that was related to the symptoms of mild to moderate COVID-19 in our sample, in contrast to several international observations. Israel developed its relations with African countries relatively early. The initial boom in the 1950s was followed by a slowdown in the 1960s and then, in many respects, a standstill after the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Israel was seen by many African countries as an anti-colonial power, which gradually changed over time. In 1957, the Jewish state recognized the independence of Ghana, and in 1958 it set up a separate organization, the Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV), to assist the newly independent African states. In 1963, it established a new embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. Based on newly discovered Hungarian state security documents, this paper will give an insight into how Hungary - as a member of the Soviet-led Eastern European socialist bloc - in the early 1960s and 1970s, viewed its relations with Israel and African countries, and the information and politicalideological patterns on which it based its approach. The state security surveillance (through the Hungarian diplomatic missions) later covered not only Israel, but also the American Jewish organizations which, according to the agencies, had been in contact with African states and organizations at the instigation of Israel. Archival sources with a strongly antiimperialist tone and bearing the imprint of Soviet state security suggest that the treatment of Israel as an enemy occurred in this region before the 1967 break-up, i.e. the diplomatic freeze did not significantly affect the way the Jewish state's relations with the emerging African nations were viewed.
