The study examines the time-varying correlation and return spillover mechanism among developed (U.S.) and emerging (BRIC) stock markets during major crises from 2000 to 2023, namely the global financial crisis, COVID-19, and the Russia–Ukraine war. To do so, we used dynamic conditional correlation (DCC-GARCH) and time-varying parameter vector autoregression (TVP-VAR) models. This study finds that the nature of market crises plays a significant role in the interrelationship and return spillover mechanisms among the U.S. and BRIC stock markets. The interconnectedness of the stock markets was strengthened by crises such as the GFC and the COVID-19 pandemic. On the other hand, the Russia–Ukraine war temporarily disrupted the interrelationships between the markets. The paper investigates the asymmetric volatility effect of five major cryptocurrencies and their bilateral linkages with major indices in the Indian stock market. To investigate the bilateral relationship of crypto currency with stock indices, researchers used two major stock indices in the Indian stock market namely, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty. The study used GARCH, EGARCH and TGARCH models, asymmetric to model the asymmetric volatility effect in the conditional volatility of crypto currencies and stock indices. Johansen's cointegration and Vector Error Correction Model is used for examining the presence of cointegration between selected variables and to analyse the strength of causality among them. The study finds the evidence of cointegration between cryptocurrencies and stock market indices, implying that cryptocurrencies are related to stock indices. Further there is unidirectional relationship among stock and crypto market and crypto currencies having short-lived response to shocks in stock markets. Even with these currencies' explosive growth, there are still not many research examining their connection to stock markets. This study will help investor's those who making investment in currency market or in the stock market to evaluate the pattern of volatility, interconnection among them, so that they can make crucial investment decisions and diversification strategies. This will help them to gain knowledge about how these two markets move together so they may avoid underestimating risk when building portfolios that contain both kinds of assets. Market turbulences and their impact on the financial market, particularly on the stock market, is a financial topic that has received significant research attention recently. This study compared the characteristics of stock return and volatility in selected developed and emerging markets between the 2008 financial crisis and the 2019 worldwide pandemic. In this sense, we seek to answer two concerns. First, do the developed and emerging markets behave similarly during crisis periods? Second, does economic strength always shield markets from poor economic circumstances? For this purpose, the daily return data of E7 (Emerging 7) and G7 (Developed 7) countries for two sample periods—namely, the financial crisis period of 2007–2009 and the global pandemic period of 2019–2021—were chosen. By using univariate GARCH models, namely GARCH, EGARCH, and TGARCH, the study discovered that developing and developed markets reacted differently to these two financial crises. While emerging markets responded similarly to these two crises, developed economies acted differently, being more volatile and sensitive to the worldwide pandemic of 2019 than the financial crisis of 2008. Moreover, a country's economic prowess does not always shield it from economic turmoil. This study will help investors identify diversification opportunities among the developed and emerging markets during a crisis period. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether trading experience reduces exposure to heuristic-driven biases, namely availability bias, anchoring and adjustments bias, representativeness bias, and confirmation biases of individual investors operating in the Indian stock market, through the moderating role of the Big Five personality traits. To achieve these research objectives, primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire. The sample consisted of 408 individual investors trading on the Indian stock market, who were selected on a convenient basis. Confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha were used to measure the validity and reliability of the data. Further analysis was conducted using Pearson's correlation and multiple regression. The results of this study prove that increased trading experience does not always reduce the susceptibility to heuristic biases. Increased trading experience reduces the susceptibility to availability, and anchoring and adjustment heuristics of individual investors operating on the Indian stock market. This study analyses existing literature about investor behavior around news announcements. We use bibliometric analysis to explore the evolution and development in this theme. We analyze 815 research articles collected from Scopus database from 1992 to 2021 through bibliometric measurements and social networks using Vosviewer. We find that the number of studies examining investor behavior in response to news announcements has been steadily increasing over time, particularly since 2008. Further, the study highlighted influential authors, countries, institutions, impactful journals, and top articles in this theme. To identify the research gap to propose agenda for future research, the study conducted clustering and factor analysis of main studies and themes in this literature. Majority of the studies has focused on the impact of news announcements on stock market and individual investor sentiment, particularly herd behavior of investors. Even though many researchers tried to investigate di¤erent aspects of investor behavior around corporate and macroeconomic news announcements, to the best of our knowledge, no studies have been conducted to evaluate the performance and trends in this theme. This study significantly contributes to the financial literature dedicated to news announcements by analyzing the trend and pattern of publication in this theme and helping researchers and other participants in the financial market to get insight in this theme and to conduct future studies. This paper aims to provide quantitative statistics and a comprehensive review of the key infiuential and intellectual structure of asymmetric volatility and leverage effect in the stock market. This study reviews 271 articles and review papers published in scientific journals indexed by the Scopus database from 1994 to 2021. VOS viewer and Excel software are used to analyse the collected data and apply the bibliometric tests such as citation analysis of documents, source, authors, institutions and countries, Co-occurrence analysis of author keywords, co-authorship and Bibliographic coupling of authors, source and countries. By analysing the growth in this topic, during the first 10 years, the publication in this topic was considerably less. After that, until 2020, the growth is remarkable. Further, the study identifies the most influential and impactful authors, journals, institutions, and countries to asymmetric volatility and leverage effect in the stock market. To the best of the author's knowledge, this is one of the first papers to address the literature of asymmetric volatility and leverage effect in the stock market from a bibliometric aspect. It helps researchers and other academicians to explore and build a quantitative base regarding the scientific development of asymmetric volatility and leverage effect in the stock market.
