The work aims to provide a description of the sociolinguistic and linguistic reality of the hamlet of Timau in the municipality of Paluzza. In contrast to the other villages of the Municipality, the population of Timau has been speaking for centuries, alongside Italian and Friulian, the Timavese code, a Carinthian based variety that nevertheless displays distinctive linguistic characteristics at all levels. In the paper we will present the origins of the village, the sociolinguistic position of Timavese in the community’s repertoire, the similarities and differences between Timavese and Carinthian and the corpus and status planning created for this variety after its recognition by the national law 482/1999 (“Norme in materia di tutela delle minoranze linguistiche storiche”), aimed at protecting the historical linguistic minorities recognized in the national territory. Immediately after Brexit, the UK started negotiations to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The decision is puzzling. First, Brexiteers lauded regaining sovereignty as a key benefit of Brexit, yet the UK Government sought accession to another trade grouping (albeit one far more restrained in regulation and supranationalism). Secondly, CPTPP is a Trans-Pacific project, the UK is not located in that geographic region. UK accession to CPTPP symbolises an operationalisation of the spatial imaginaries of a ‘free-trading’ ‘Global Britain’ that emerged during Brexit. It represents an illustrative example of a state reshaping its boundaries within a ‘space of flows’ where economic interactions and the rules that order these transcend national territories and geographic proximity. This paper draws on UK government and CPTPP documents related to the accession process to establish how the parties understood the process and the reconfiguration of spatial dynamics and redefinition of the TP part of CPTPP to include the UK. It pays particular attention to the development in the discourses of imaginaries of communities of rules and norms as being more significant than geographic considerations in determining the geographic reach of a regional integration initiative like CPTPP. The paper argues that it was this imaginary of a community of standards and free-trade values that justified the recasting the UK as ‘belonging’ in this regional grouping and enabled this new spatial projection for the UK and CPTPP. This article examines how the narrative of the plurinational state provided the common symbolic framework for the conflict over the Isiboro Sécure Indigenous Territory and National Park (Tipnis) in Bolivia in 2011. The central dispute, one of the most important in Bolivia’s recent history, was whether or not to construct a highway through this area, a debate that has led to a major rift between peasant and indigenous social organizations that shared common reivindicative imaginaries but ultimately experienced profound divisions. This discussion serves as a key observation point to understand how decolonization imaginaries actually function, which I consider a anchoring point (point du capiton) in the narrative of the plurinational state. Through discourse analysis, review of chronicles, press statements, and accounts of the VIII Indigenous March, I aim to identify the discursive threads that framed the debates on decolonization, showing that it can be used as a rhetorical tool to mask extractivism or defend “national sovereignty,” or as an argument to uphold the self-determination of indigenous peoples. I also examine how the repertoire of the indigenous march was constructed discursively and symbolically, and the impact it left on Bolivia’s recent history. I intend for this analysis to contribute to understanding how Bolivian social perceptions are shaped in relation to the narrative of the plurinational state and its potential for social transformation as a new regime of truth. Burkina Faso has faced a security crisis unlike any other in its history for the past eight years. The government has lost control of up to 35 % of the national territory, and there are as many as two million internally displaced persons living in the big cities. The emblematic figure of Thomas Sankara, Burkina Faso's president from 1984 to 1987, has soared beyond the local image of the "upright man" (the ideal to which the very name "Burkina Faso" refers) to that of a globally recognised icon of resistance against imperialism. Theatre artists are inspired to create theatrical performances that "represent" (or "face up") this great figure, as the recent edition of the Ouagadougou-based biannual theatre festival called Les Récréâtrales invited them to do. This paper emphasises theatre's contribution to efforts of artistic resilience and resistance in Burkina Faso. It addresses the question: How do Burkinabè artists produce acts of artistic resilience through performance? In other words, does the staging proposed by the Burkinabè playwright Aristide Tarnagda carry the seeds of hope for a Burkina Faso entirely liberated from terrorism? The theory of communication developed by J.L. Austin in How to Do Things With Words (1962) and Anne Ubersfeld's (1982) semiotic analysis theory provide the key critical concepts of this study. The government agency BGE started a site selection process for a high-level nuclear waste repository in 2017. The first phase of data screening was completed in 2020 and resulted in the identification of search areas covering 54% of the national territory. The actual second phase will be completed by 2027 or later, and the areas for aboveground investigations will be identified. The obligatory nongovernment input is provided by follow-up regional conferences, which are best supported by external scientific expertise. The large amount of text documents and maps and the interactive internet tools such a 3D viewer provide a suitable basis for external evaluation. The rationale is to apply stricter criteria than those used in the first phase to drastically reduce the size of the search area. With this updated set of criteria, the size of the search area can be reduced to 2,662 km2 or 0.7% of the national territory. A form of food retail regulation called the Stores Licensing Scheme was introduced by the Australian Government in 2007–2022 to ensure food security in remote Indigenous communities of the Northern Territory. We examined evaluations of this Scheme implemented under the Northern Territory National Emergency Response and Stronger Futures Northern Territory Acts. Grey literature search identified nine primary source evaluations. Reported outcomes were extracted and thematic analysis utilised to determine barriers and enablers. Outcomes included improved availability and quality of groceries, financial structures, and retail practices, albeit not consistently reported. Governance and food cost were perceived barriers. Future policy aimed to improve food security through community stores should consider food cost subsidy, measures to incentivise all stores to improve standards, and improved governance arrangements enabling self-determination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Store Directors. John Kingdon’s Multi-Stream Framework sheds light on the foundational conditions under which public policies get formulated and implemented. The coupling of the Problem, Policy, and Politics streams along with efforts by Policy Entrepreneurs opens the Opportunity Window for policy realization. Interpreting Kingdon’s MSF, a rich scholarship exists, which found evidence in support of this framework. Some instances of the opening up of multiple windows are found in MSF. However, two aspects remain unclear. First, what happens when multiple windows open, some of them could be opened by the opposing side simultaneously to the policy window? Second, no literature exists that discusses the application of multiple windows of the MSF. In this context, this paper takes the idea of multiple windows seriously along with illustrations from Delhi, India where we find that although a window of opportunity existed for the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, it could not privatize water supply. Objective: To describe the profile of individuals with depression who received assistance at CAPS in Brazil between 2013 and 2019, focusing on their clinical and demographic characteristics, and to calculate the estimated coverage of CAPS across the national territory and its constituent federal units. Methods: Descriptive, ecological, time-series study with secondary data from national databases, referring to care provided at CAPS in the country for adults aged 18 years or over-diagnosed with depression (F32-32.9 and F33-F33.9). The estimated coverage of CAPS was calculated for 2013 and 2019 using registered and active services. Results: There was a 107% increase in the number of patients with depression receiving treatment at CAPS between 2013 and 2019. Women accounted for 77% of the patients, with the majority falling within the age range of 41 to 61years (49%). The predominant racial demographics were white (38%) and brown (34%). The diagnosis of depressive episodes was prevalent among 65% of the patients, and individual care was administrated to 75% of them. The presumed CAPS coverage was 71% in 2013 and increased to 87% in 2019 nationwide, although significant discrepancies were observed among different states. Conclusion: Progress was evident in the implementation of CAPS across Brazil during the period spanning 2013 to 2019. Technological innovation is a crucial factor in the technological and economic development of nations today. Ownership and appropriation policies of patents are an important part of innovation processes. The compulsory license is an instrument that in principle aims towards these objectives. However, in Mexico, despite the fact that compulsory licensing was incorporated into patent legislation more than a century ago, it has been exercised very rarely. The overwhelming lack of registration of compulsory licenses has been due, among other factors, to the gaps and insufficiencies in the specifications that patent laws have established to regulate the compulsory licensing process, aspects that have led to contradictions and discretions that erode the propensity to use compulsory licenses by those interested in exploiting patents in national territory. Although genocide is an expression commonly used today in relation to the dramatic challenges faces by indigenous peoples around the world, the significance of the Guarani–Kaiowa genocidal experience is not casual and cannot be merely sloganised. The indigenous genocide unfolding in the Brazilian State of Mato Grosso do Sul – Kaiowcide – is not just a case of hyperbolic violence or widespread murdering, but it is something qualitatively different from other serious crimes committed against marginalised, subaltern communities. Kaiowcide is actually the reincarnation of old genocidal practices of agrarian capitalism employed to extend and unify the national territory. In other words, Kaiowcide has become a necessity of mainstream development, whilst the sanctity of regional economic growth and private rural property are excuses invoked to justify the genocidal trail. The phenomenon combines strategies and procedures based on the competition and opposition between groups of people who dispute the same land and the relatively scarce social opportunities of an agribusiness-based economy. Throughout Europe, particularly in Italy, the rapid phenomenon of rural marginalization and depletion is one of the most significant social and environmental challenges characterizing contemporary reality. Where, in the second post‐war era, about half of the Italian population lived in rural settings, today this percentage has precipitously fallen, leading to an estimated urbanization rate of 70%, concentrated within an area that covers about 30% of the national territory. The future of the remaining 70% is uncertain, raising questions about the country's territorial cohesion and the management of its environmental resources. As the future and present of these communities are increasingly defined by trajectories of impoverishment, aging, and depopulation, these communities' voices seem marginal in the debate, utterly unheard amidst the complexities urban centers face. This poetic project's series of tercets aims to narrate the cosmos of ordinary effects that mark the everyday life of a village amidst phenomena of rewilding, growing silences, and abandonments. It dwells on a specific moment of the day, culturally laden with expectations and meanings, namely the dawn, portrayed here as the advance of a new day, a guarantor of the future, though the forms of this future remain uncertain. The paper aims to analyse a statistical procedure for the definition of territorial indicators, such as the biometric function of life expectancy of citizens of a territory e0, applying a methodology of Top–Down spatial disaggregation, using census data from 2011 in Italy. Through spatial regressions with the methodology proposed in 1971 by Chow and Lin with the use of ISTAT elaborations of annual mortality tables, which are structured from the national level to the regional level, up to the smallest details of the main level, as a dependent variable and predictors a number k of census variables plus accidents in regression models, life expectancy can also be defined at municipal levels (not elaborated by ISTAT) and even at sub-municipal levels (Census Area). The structure of the 2011 census was characterized by 152 variables, collected with CAPI and universal CAWI survey on all the survey units, throughout the national territory, divided into administrative areas of competence and 402,677 more granular areas in census sections. This structure represents a very relevant and useful information asset for applying a spatial disaggregation of indicators, based on three fundamental assumptions: Structural similarity, whereby the aggregate model and the disaggregate model are structurally similar, i.e., the relationships between the variables are valid both at the aggregate (Top) and at the disaggregate (Down) level, with the consequence that the regression parameters are the same in the two models. Error similarity: for spatially correlated errors they present the same structure at both aggregate (Top) and disaggregate (Down) levels, significantly testing for zero spatial correlation; Reliable indicators: the variables in the regression models are efficient predictors at both aggregates (Top) and disaggregate (Down) levels, estimable from model efficiency tests. As we see in the following, compared to others, the best predictors of the census and income variables show us a good interaction in terms of active regressors on the estimation variable. The aim of the work is to determine the genetic diversity, genetic differentiation and genetic structure of subpopulations of the specially protected common yew in the area of South Moravian Podyjí (Czech Republic), Thayatal (Austria) and in the Svitavy region (Czech Republic) using DNA analyses (nSSR-nuclear Simple Sequence Repeats). The subjects of the analyses were yews of 1) natural occurrences in the territory of the Podyjí National Park (NP), 2) cultural origin in the Podyjí NP, 3) natural occurrences in the Thayatal NP (Austria), 4) natural occurrences outside the Podyjí NP, and 5) cultural origin in the Podyjí region outside the NP. For the comparison and better interpretation of results there also were analysed geographically more distant subpopulations, 6) natural occurrences in the Hřebečský ridge (NW Moravia), 7) cultural yew occurrences in the Svitavy region (NE Bohemia & NW Moravia), 8) natural occurrences in the Jílovské yews (N Bohemia), and 9) natural occurrences in the Moravian Karst (S Moravia). We observed higher level of genetic diversity (Ho = 0.54; He = 0.77), the FST with ENA correction ranged from 0.007 to 0.123. According to a STRUCTURE analysis, high genetic similarity was observed between samples from the Podyjí NP and Hřebečský ridge. This paper suggests that the Indigenous Tuvaluan concept of fale pili, looking after one's neighbour as if they were family, must be centralised in understandings of mobility justice for Tuvaluan people. While the risks of sea level rise to Tuvalu's low-lying national territory are well-recognised, the culturally specific ways in which Tuvaluans perceive and experience mobility are not. From a fale pili perspective, mobility is a way of enacting family, fenua (indigenous island within Tuvalu) and responsibilities to the Tuvaluan (political) community. Conceived in this way, Tuvaluan mobility does not primarily see migrant-as-individual; rather the migrant is always a representative of, and contributor towards, collective wellbeing of family, fenua and nation. Our paper is structured as follows. First, we discuss the importance of approaching both mobility and mobility justice as culturally specific concepts that are scripted and experienced by different peoples in different ways. To do so, we read contemporary theorisations of mobility (in)justice, and encourage attention to understanding the cosmological dimensions of contemporary (global) life that a critical civilisational perspective affords. Drawing on two case-studies of fale pili, one involving urban-rural migration in Tuvalu during the COVID-19 pandemic, and one involving Tuvaluan guest workers in Australia, we suggest that fale pili offers an approach to understanding mobility justice as culturally and geographically situated. The National Aerial Photo Database is a collection of aerial photographs obtained through aerial photography using specific cameras or sensors with manned or unmanned aerial vehicles across the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. These photographs are stored in a computer system for easy access, management, and updating. No national aerial photo database system currently meets the need for accurate and complete aerial photos and other geospatial information to support decision-making. The present study aimed to develop a model for the National Aerial Photo Database from a geospatial intelligence perspective based on statutory regulations. The collection of aerial photo data in a centralized database commenced with scanning negative film based on location and flight paths and copying all digital data. The original negative films were scanned at 20 µm resolution in a Vexcel Ultrascan 5000 photogrammetry scanner. The resulting size of one scanned photo is 140 Mb to 160 Mb. This research adopts a qualitative research method with a case study approach. This research involved the electronic implementation of geospatial data and information by utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) software, image and geospatial information data management, and the Scrum framework. This research concluded that geospatial intelligence efforts can better understand activity patterns, infrastructure development, and potential threats in the national territory. The insights gained from the aerial photo database aid in identifying trends, detecting anomalies, and assessing risks, all of which are critical for better decisionmaking in national security. The purpose of this article is to examine the specific activities of the National Police of Ukraine in the investigation of war crimes in deoccupied territories, developing a clear algorithm of action and taking into account possible power, heating, and communication outages. The study argues for the creation of a Coordination Headquarters to ensure proper interaction between the bodies and departments involved in recording and investigating war crimes. The article proves that the activities of the National Police of Ukraine bodies and units during the investigation of war crimes in the de-occupied territories are aimed at their prompt, complete, and impartial investigation, so that any perpetrator of such acts is held accountable according to their guilt, and includes several algorithmic actions. The research methodology includes dialectical-materialistic, formal-logical, general scientific, and special methods. The results of the study are significant as they provide a practical guide for the National Police of Ukraine in the investigation of war crimes in de-occupied territories. The proposed algorithm and practical considerations can help ensure prompt, complete, and impartial investigations, ultimately contributing to the rule of law and justice in times of conflict. This document discusses the applications of machine learning in national territory spatial planning. National territory spatial planning is important for solving issues such as human-land conflict and regional development imbalance. Machine learning technology is being used to improve national territory spatial planning, but there is still a need for further exploration and research in this area. The document highlights research papers that focus on topics such as urban spatial environmental monitoring, food security and agricultural development, and methodological innovation in territorial spatial planning. This article explores the reception of the IPCC reports on a national scale, focusing on the case of the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) in France and Switzerland. It sheds light on the orchestration processes of national reception by the actors involved in the two science-policy interfaces, and introduces the theoretical concept of "landing" for the comparative analysis. Using mixed qualitative methods, it reveals that in both case studies, the domestic science-policy interactions stemming from the landing deviated significantly from expectations. Unusual actors different from the IPCC National Focal Points got involved in framing the conditions of the report's domestic reception, and AR6 faced challenges when entering national Parliament. The results are discussed within the broader context of a global reflection on the imperative to enhance the dissemination channels of the IPCC scientific results to political audiences. Developments in the war of the future have brought to the fore unmanned aircraft or drones used in national and/or multinational military actions, as particularly important means to achieve operational success. The parameters related to this modern, flexible and particularly maneuverable combat system allow the conjugation of capabilities necessary to fulfill the missions received by the operational structures during preparation and conduct of operations. The present study first provides a general approach to drone use in military actions, taking into account aspects from previous armed conflicts, as well as from the ongoing war in Ukraine. The objective of the study points to a series of important drone purchases that will be made by our country, to increase the combat potential of the Romanian joint and tactical forces, which will act on national territory and within the North Atlantic Alliance, against any aggressive forces of an unfriendly state. This paper deals with public transport services in sparsely populated areas. The definition of the term transport services and possible approaches to its provision is given in the introduction. The term sparsely populated area is subsequently defined. The problems that arise during the organization of transport services in these areas are further defined. These problems lie primarily in the variations in the number of people in the thousands in the area in the off-tourist season and in the summer tourist season. This affects the organization of transport and the organization of transport services. This paper proposes the technological procedure and measures for improving transport services in sparsely populated areas outside and during the summer tourist season. Cassava has relevant importance in Brazilian agribusiness, being cultivated throughout the national territory. Its cultivation in many regions is carried out by producers with low purchasing power, who do not use fertilizers in planting, resulting in low productivity. In this situation, the use of biological inoculants, due to their low acquisition cost, may prove to be a promising alternative, since many microorganisms, in addition to being efficient in fixing atmospheric nitrogen, stimulate the development of plants, improving their productivity. The objective of this work was to evaluate the response of two cassava cultivars (IAC 12 and Talo Branco) to biological inoculants (Bacillus subtilis, Azospirillum brasilense, Bacillus megaterium+Bacillus subtilis and Azospirillum brasilense+Bacillus megaterium+Bacillus subtilis). The experiment was conducted in pots in a greenhouse. The plants were harvested 60 days after planting, evaluating the biometric attributes and the primary macronutrient content of the aerial part. Cassava varieties showed different responses to inoculants. For Talo Branco, coinoculation resulted in higher levels of chlorophyll in leaves and nitrogen and phosphorus in shoots. As for IAC 12, inoculation of Azospirillum brasilense in isolation provided better results for these variables. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Article 4.2 TEU enshrines the EU's respect for the exclusive right of each Member State to ensure its territorial integrity. No EU Member State allows referendums for part of the population to decide on the national territory. The Commission and European Council have recognized that the effect of a secession in a Member State is to leave the new state outside the EU. Whether or not European citizenship is retained is a matter not of European but national law, as European citizenship is an automatic complement to the nationality of a Member State. Goal: This research aimed to simulate a ship-from-store operation process from an omnichannel retailer. Based on this we proposed a conceptual model orchestrated through a 4PL. Through the results evaluated by performance indicators in the simulation, computational results of using the approach in a real case can be added to decision-making and the literature. Design / Methodology / Approach: This paper comprises the collection of sales and logistics data from a retailer for developing a computer simulation using R programming language, so that the ship-from-store strategy is evaluated. Data from an omnichannel retailer supported the development of two scenarios: the first represent retailer's current praxis; in the second, the logistics orchestration model is applied. The analysis considers two performance indicators: freight price and freight time. Results: The results demonstrate that after adopting the ship-from-store strategy the omnichannel retailer can reduce the freight price by up to 60%. Regarding the delivery time, a reduction of up to 8 days is envisioned. These reductions positively impact the customer experience in the online channel, increasing its attractiveness. Limitations of the investigation: The limitations of the research are based on a logistics orchestration model for a retailer that is omnichannel and has several stores within its national territory with stock. This stock is sufficient to implement a ship-from-store process in this retailer. Practical implications: This retailer, by applying the method, is able to achieve better customer rewards. In the same way, it manages to make the online channel more attractive at the lowest cost and in the shortest time. This retailer is also able to use new technological resources through a 4PL. This serves as a technological tool for the logistics orchestration operation. Background and Objectives: The clinical relevance of "corona phlebectatica" and the management of risk factors for recurrence of venous ulcers in patients with chronic venous disease may be variable based on vascular specialists in different geographical areas of Italy. The aim of the present survey is to evaluate the management of patients with chronic venous disease by vascular specialists in different areas of the national territory. In particular, this involves ascertaining the clinical/prognostic relevance attributed to the presence of the "corona phlebectatica" as well as to the management of risk factors related to recurrence of venous ulcers. Materials and Methods: The web-based survey aimed at vascular medicine specialists with particular interest in venous disease. A questionnaire was developed, based on 12 questions, in relation to clinical assessment, risk factor management, and therapy in patients with chronic venous disease. Results: Almost all of the specialists involved actively participated in the survey, declaring that they personally manage chronic venous disease overall. There was a strong agreement in the prognostic consideration attributed to the presence of "corona phlebectatica" and to the management of risk factors for venous ulcer recurrence, regardless of the different geographical areas of interest. Conclusions: Accordingly with the results of this self-assessment survey, the skills and experience of the specialists involved appear to be of a good standard, both in the clinical evaluation and in the management of the progression of chronic venous disease. However, the need to reach more cultural insights into the correlations between chronic venous disease and risk factors correlated with disease progression emerges. The United States and Canada began major efforts to acquire territory in North America's interior in the nineteenth century. In 1803, the United States purchased approximately 827,192 square miles of territory from France. Canada began to govern 1,409,900 square miles of territory known as Rupert's Land in 1869. Historical accounts of American and Canadian officials' efforts in Washington and Ottawa to obtain these vast territories are abundant. Historians have devoted less attention, however, to expansionists who supported American expansion in Louisiana and Canadian expansion in Rupert's Land. Daniel Clark, U.S. Consul to New Orleans, used his office to promote American acquisition of Spanish Louisiana. Canadian John Christian Schultz, an influential "doctor" and businessperson at Red River, became the owner of the only newspaper in the settlement and used it to advocate for Canadian possession of Rupert's Land. Clark arrived in Louisiana from Ireland in 1786 and Schultz from Upper Canada between 1859 and 1861. Clark and Schultz were opportunists who understood that American and Canadian territorial ambitions presented them with opportunities to advance their business and political careers. Far less important to both men were the futures of other residents of New Orleans and Red River. In Argentina, from the beginning of the 21st century onwards, it has been detected that the conservation policies deployed by the National Parks Administration have been characterized by creating numerous protected areas and extending existing ones. During these years two concurrent processes also took place. One of them, related to the adoption and consolidation of neo-extractivism as a productive model whose modalities plundered the ecosystem functions of ecoregions throughout the entire national territory. The remainder was associated with the commitments assumed by the country before the Convention on Biological Diversity through the Aichi Goals. Therefore, it is hypothesized that both processes conditioned the conservation policies of said organism during the period 2000-2022. It is concluded that these policies were reactive and compensatory when seeking to protect the relics of the ecoregions not eradicated by neo-extractivism. Economic values have dominated water policy discourse over the last four decades. Very little has been written on social, cultural, and ecological values and their roles in enhancing water security. The primary objective of this paper is to provide a comprehensive analysis of diverse water values with a case study of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. To achieve this, a review of the existing scholarship on water values was conducted to develop a set of water values. Field surveys and interviews were conducted to comprehend the water values held by various stakeholders in Delhi. This paper is an attempt to show that viewing water security through the lens of diverse water values (social, cultural, economic and ecological) provides a better understanding of water policies, and enhanced comprehension could potentially result in better policies to promote water security. In the case of Delhi, we additionally found that the claimed predominance of water values such as efficiency, equity, equality, religiosity, and purity does not mean that these values are also actualized in water practices. Another major finding is that all four sets of values are integrated with one another, and policies underpinned by the identified values would be relatively better than policies solely based on economic values. In developing nations, solid residential fuels are the major sources of primary energy for various domestic activities. To date, the emission inventory of inorganic trace gases over National Capital Territory (NCT) was prepared using either default or country-specific emission factors. In this paper, we report (for the first time) the spatial variation of emission factors (EFs) of inorganic trace gases (SO2, NO, NO2, CO, CO2, and CH4) from the residential fuels used in slums and rural areas of NCT determined using dilution chamber in the laboratory. 147 residential fuel samples, including fuelwood, dung cake, crop residues, coal, etc., were collected at 149 NCT locations out of 675 slum clusters and 146 rural villages. The range of EF(s) of SO2 (0.02 ± 0.01 to 0.04 ± 0.01 g kg−1), CH4 (0.10 to 0.34 g kg−1), NO2 (0.01 to 0.02 g kg−1) is lower than the CO (3.55 ± 1.72 to 6.07 ± 1.53 g kg−1) and CO2 (0 to 129.45 ± 46.94 g kg−1). The north and north west districts of NCT are emission hotspots for CH4, NO, and NO2 emissions, whereas, the southern and northern areas of NCT are for CO2. These citywide emission inventories (0.05° × 0.05°) of inorganic trace gases are prepared using laboratory-determined EFs and available consumption data determined by recent survey information. Argentina is currently one of the top ten deforesting countries in the world. However, the geographic distribution of deforestation is not uniform across the national territory. A few provinces account for massive deforestation, while others have experienced almost none. Why is there such variation in tree cover loss among the provinces? This study examines the subnational variation in deforestation based on how different types of subnational government alliances--progressive or regressive--either resist or support national government policies for protecting native forests. The study presents a quantitative analysis of original panel data for Argentina from 2001-2021 and a comparative study of two provinces in the Chaco Park bioregion, which exhibit significant variation both between them and over time in native forest loss. Canine brucellosis is an infectious disease caused by Brucella canis. Dogs can be infected by other Brucella species such as B. abortus, by ingestion of tissues or contaminated material from other animal hosts. The objective of the study was to identify the presence of B. abortus and B. canis, and to analyze the risk factors associated with Brucella spp. in canines from municipalities in northern Antioquia during 2019. 214 serum samples obtained from a neutering program sponsored by the Government of Antioquia were used. Immunochromatography and Rose Bengal tests were performed to detect the presence of antibodies against Brucella canis and B. abortus, respectively. 89 samples were randomly selected for detection of Brucella spp. DNA by PCR. A seroprevalence of 0% was obtained for B. canis, and 7% (15/214) for B. abortus. The positivity by PCR to Brucella spp. was 2.25% (2/89). Contact with bovine cattle, spend most of the time outside the house and have dirt floor inside the house were associated as risk factors. This study reports for Colombia the presence of B. abortus in dogs inside dairy production areas and suggests that dogs may participate as accidental or bridge hosts of B. abortus in epidemiologically active areas for Brucelosis, facilitating its dissemination and making eradication difficult in the national territory. Objective: Evaluate the application of ad valorem tariffs on beef imports in Mexico and their effects on production and consumption with 2020 data. Methodology: A non-linear programming (quadratic programming) partial equilibrium model was used, without considering storage. The national territory was divided into eight producer-consumer regions and two entry points for imports. Results: The model overestimated production (0.4%) and consumption (0.8%) with a Net Social Value (VSN) of 14,043 million Mexican pesos. Tariffs of 15, 25 and 35% reduced imports by 5.7, 8.5 and 12.5%; they increased production by 4.7, 6.2 and 8.8%; consumption and VSN decreased by 3.4, 5.6, 7.8% and 4.3, 5.9 and 7.8%. The policy favored producers and harmed consumers. Limitations: The base model assumes a free market, that is, a market without intervention; Also, the model does not consider the storage of the product. The article analyzes the existence of particular features in the evolution of secondary education for youths and adults in the province of Buenos Aires during recent history. To this end, from a quantitative methodology, various indicators are explored in a comparative manner between the jurisdiction and the rest of the national territory. The main source is the annual educational surveys carried out by the National Ministry of Education, complementing them with other official data referring to certain educational completion programs. As a central argument, it is stated that during the last decades the middle school for this segment of the population has expanded in line with what is happening at the national level, although in the jurisdiction studied said growth has been deployed largely through non-traditional offers, while it has implied a loss of relative weight in favor of other jurisdictions. In this article, Julio Antonio Yanes Mesa proposes a methodology to expand the contents of classic Spanish journalism stories to the entire national territory, including peripheral regions such as the Canary Islands. The author argues that this proposal enriches knowledge by considering people's experiences and reflecting the reality of different regions of Spain. The importance of considering the influences of both Europe and America on the communicative model of the Canary Islands is highlighted. In addition, the history of journalism in the Canary Islands and its treatment in various works is analyzed, as well as the British presence on the islands and the relationship with Latin America. The article also discusses the dynamics of journalism in the Canary Islands during different periods, such as the period from 1868 to 1874 and the Second Republic in Spain. Canarian newspapers that carried out their work with freedom and independence during the Second Republic are mentioned, and the financial autonomy of Canarian newspapers during that period is highlighted. The document provides a list of books and articles related to the history of journalism in Spain and the Canary Islands. In summary, the author proposes a methodology from the "periphery" of the Canary Islands to address the history of Spanish journalism and avoid the reductionism of stories developed from the "center".
