An important task for the dentist of the surgeon is the prevention of purulent complications in the postoperative period. This study demonstrates the dynamics of the clinical picture and laboratory data in the application of laser radiation violet wavelength range after surgery in the oral cavity. Patients with detected microorganisms before treatment, after conducting a five-day course of treatment by the device Lazurit with the wavelength of 405 nm, 86,7% of the microflora was not determined.

Relevance. The global trend associated with increasing life expectancy leads to an augmentation of the frequency of diseases and conditions associated with the cessation of estrogen production. Hormonal changes in the female body, which lead to changes in the mineral density of bone tissue, microcirculation, and immune status, create prerequisites for the destruction of target organs, including periodontal tissues. The highest prevalence of periodontal pathology is observed against the background of estrogen deficiency, especially during menopause. The multifactorial nature of the Association of pathologies that develop against the background of estrogen deficiency requires further study. Purpose. Assessment of the contribution of various pathogenetic factors to the progression of oral pathology in women in the period of reproductive aging. Materials and methods . The paper uses the results obtained during the examination of 73 patients with chronic generalized periodontitis at various stages of menopause with an assessment of the level of reproductive hormones, endothelial dysfunction, major periodontogens, and local immunity. Results. An increase in the duration of menopause leads to the formation of endothelial dysfunction, increased destruction of periodontal bone tissue, and local immunosuppression. Conclusion. The progression of periodontal diseases in menopause depends on many factors, including estrogen deficiency, violations of local and general blood supply, immunity disorders and microbial flora.

Relevance. Tooth splints used to immobilize lower jaw fragments lead to the progression of periodontitis.Purpose. To study changes in periodontal tissues in patients with fractures of the lower jaw during immobilization with dentitional double jaw splints.Materials and methods. Patients with periodontitis during the treatment of fractures of the lower jaw were examined.Results. In patients with periodontitis who have a fracture of the lower jaw, inflammatory and destructive processes in periodontal tissues progress during the immobilization of fragments by the orthopedic method (tooth splints).Conclusion. Comprehensive treatment of periodontitis in fractures of the lower jaw, including dynamic magnetotherapy (DMT) and the treatment of periodontal pockets with liniment of cycloferon, reduces the severity of inflammatory and destructive processes in periodontal tissues.

А^ - the development of ultrasound method of the study of inferior alveolar arteries and their normal data of blood circulation. Materials and methods. In 20 men the apparatus «Vivid E9» the study of the bipolar bloodstream in the inferior alveolar arteries was performed. Results. In the study of the facial arteries the following results were obtained: PS - 55,7+0,9 cm/s, ED - 10,15+0,3 cm/s, TAMX - 52,0+1,1 cm/s, PI - 1,32+0,06, RI - 0,77+0,03, PS/ED - 2,30+0,1, HR - 35,36+1,9 bpm. In the study of the inferior alveolar arteries the following results were determined: PS bloodstream 57,96+0,7 cm/s; ED bloodstream 5,47+0,1 cm/s; TAMX 17,22+0,5 cm/s; PI 3,05+0,1; RI 0,91+0,05; PS/ ED 10,60+0,2; HR 69,48+0,4 Ьрм. Conclusion. The methodology of ultrasound study of the inferior alveolar arteries and bloodstream parameters in them was developed.

The ever increasing number of the patients presenting with postoperative wound infections and abscess is attributed by the majority of the authors to the significant changes in microflora, the impairment of therapeutic effectiveness of broad-spectrum antibiotics, and the reduction of the immune responsiveness. The present study has demonstrated that the microorganisms present in the mouth cavity show high in vitro sensitivity to laser radiation in the violet range of the spectrum. Specifically, irradiation at a distance of 3 cm from the treated surface and the time of exposure 5 minutes (at the power density 70 mW/cm2) produced a well apparent bacteriostatic effect whereas irradiation of a surface positioned 1 cm from the emitting source at the power density of 150 mW/cm2 caused complete eradication of the microorganisms.

This study included 230 patients presenting with defects of tooth alignments. It has demonstrated that the physiotherapeutic treatment before and after dental implantation using a KAP-Parodontolog stomatological system markedly improved the outcome of implantation.

The objective of this study was to compare results of dynamic magnetotherapy (DMT), transdermal electroneurostimulation (TDENS), and traditional ultrahigh frequency (UHF) therapy in 473 patients with mandibular fractures and concomitant inflammatory diseases of paradontium. The parameters measured in the study included hygienic and paradontal indices, microcirculation patterns (using laser Doppler flowmetry), and the degree of mandibular fragment consolidation. It was shown that combined treatment with DMT and TDENS using an AMO-ATOS-E apparatus permits to eliminate clinical symptoms of paradontal inflammatory diseases twice as fast as traditional ultrahigh frequency therapy and ensures a two-fold reduction in the frequency of complications.

60 patients with mandibular fractures were checked up and in whom clinically and with the help of neurophysiological methods some sensori-paresthetic disorders were diagnosed. Pain syndrome expression in cases of fractures and contraindication to analgesics use in a number of patients dictate the necessity to search new treatment methods of this category of patients. The use of transcutaneous electric stimulation of nerves allowing in short periods of time to stop pain syndrome and reduce the number of complications in cases of mandibular fractures was substantiated.

A total of 148 chronic alcoholics with mandibular fractures were treated. Hydroxyapol and colapol were inserted in bone wounds for improving the reparative osteogenesis. Clinical, immunological, and echo-osteometric data demonstrated the efficacy of both preparations, which promoted bone repair and reduced the incidence of pyoinflammatory complications.
