Introduction. Hop production in the Russian Federation averages 116 thousand tons from 54 thousand hectares. The HS-400 hop-kiln used in the hop drying process line is energy-intensive. The concept of hop growing development in the Chuvash Republic for 2020–2025, approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic (dated 20.08.2020 No. 738-r), provides for the development of up to 45–50 hectares of new areas for hop, at the rate of 15–17 hectares per one hop-kiln HS-400. To expand the production of hop, it is necessary to effectively master innovative technologies and installations for drying freshly harvested hop that are not inferior in technical and economic parameters of foreign analogues. The development of a hop-kiln that provides dehydration and disinfection of freshly harvested hop, pre-servs consumer properties with reduced operating costs, is currently relevant.Methodology. The electrophysical parameters of hop cones (according to the Rogov method) were analyzed depending on the frequency of the electromagnetic field, humidity and temperature, heat and mass transfer processes during the supply of convective heat to the volumetric resonator of the microwave installation were theoretically investigated, and the effective technological parameters of the hop-kiln were determined. Studies of the electromagnetic field strength, current density, and intrinsic Q-factor of resonators were carried out in the CST Studio Suite 2017 three-dimensional computer modeling program and its CST Microwave Studio subprogram.Results. A multi-resonator hop-kiln with an energy supply in an electromagnetic field has been developed. The proposed hop-kiln contains resonators sequentially arranged in a horizontal plane with curved surfaces, docked through ceramic biconvex perforated plates. The design and technological scheme of the hop-kiln has been developed. The intrinsic Q-factor of elliptical toroidal resonator is 14600, of triangular prismatic resonator — in the range of 9000–1200, depending on the degree of concavity of the upper face. The calculation of the installation productivity amounts to 180–200 kg/h with a power of 15.66 kW, which made it possible to determine energy costs — to 0.1 kWh/kg.

Introduction. The research is aimed at substantiating the optimal design and technological parameters and operating modes of the microwave installation being developed, designed to implement the process of processing wax raw materials with preliminary separation and preservation of honey fraction contained therein.Methodology. The effective modes of heat treatment of apiary raw materials in a microwave wax melter were determined through regression models obtained during the implementation of the matrix of threefactor active planning of a multifactorial experiment.Results. The main factors influencing the process of heat treatment of the sail are revealed: the specific power of microwave energy generators, the duration of exposure to the electromagnetic field of super high frequency, the humidity of the feedstock. The expediency of implementing microwave technology for processing wax raw materials in a two-module installation containing hemispherical resonators to ensure continuous operation in compliance with electromagnetic safety, as well as control of technological parameters is proved.

All greenhouse phyto-irradiators implement a constant regime of plant irradiation. For example, phyto-irradiators turn on at 6 am and turn off at 10 pm. The article contains the results of a study of the influence of pulsed (flashing) light on the growth and development of meristemic plants of garden strawberry varieties ‘Brighton’ and ‘Korona’ in vitro. The ability to use flashing light is based on the features of photosynthesis, which includes light-dependent and light-independent (dark) reactions. A flashing LED phyto-irradiator and a continuously operating fluorescent irradiator (control sample) were compared. Experiments have shown that the use of flashing LED phyto-irradiator increased the rooting rate of strawberry micro-cuttings by 5-10%, depending on the varieties. For the variety ‘Korona’ there was an increase in the number of fully developed leaves to 7.2 pieces (6.0 pieces in the control sample) and, as a consequence, an increase in the leaf surface area of microplants from 262.2 mm2 to 348.0 mm2. For the ‘Brighton’ variety, everything was the other way around: under the flashing LED phyto-irradiator, the number of fully developed leaves decreased to 4.5 pieces (5.6 pieces in the control sample). The use of a flashing LED phyto-irradiator prevented the elongation of microplants in both varieties. At the end of the experiment, all strawberry microplants were rooted and met the standard requirements for rosette height, number of fully developed leaves, and root length.

The paper provides research and practice rationale for feasibility of using the complex probiotic preparations A2 and Immunoflor in the pig production and growing technology with the aim of improving reproductive qualities of sows through increasing nonspecific resistance of the organism. The probiotic preparations were given with the feed twice, at the beginning of pregnancy and 14 days before farrow, A2 in the amount of 1.62 g per animal in Experimental Group 1 and “Immunoflor” in the amount of 0.05 g per animal in Experimental Group 2. It was established that pig production from sows of both Experimental Groups 1 and 2 was 7.2 and 10.3 % higher, comparing that in the Control Group. At that, the number of healthy and viable pigs obtained from sows of the given experimental groups was reliably 8.5 and 12.5 % greater than in the Control Group (P < 0.01). The new complex probiotic agents A2 and Immunoflor, having significant antagonistic activity against putrefactive bacteria, decreased the mortinatality of pigs 1.4 and 2.1 times, respectively, increased litter size by 11.4 and 3.6 % and the milkability of sows by 4.2 kg and 4.7 kg.

The purpose of this work is to test medical and hygienic agents for prevention and therapy of diseases of cow hooves. The objects of research were five groups of black-and-white cows of ten heads each with various forms of lesions with digital dermatitis. Animals of the 1st experimental group were passed through disinfection bath with 10% aqueous solution of CuSO4 twice a week, in the treatment of finger dermatitis of cows of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th experimental groups, respectively, therapeutic and hygienic means Solka, Espuarol-Gel and Espuarol-Sin were used.The hematological indices of cows of the 3rd experimental group against the background of the use of Espuarol-Gel entered physiological norms earlier than those of their peers of the 2nd and 4th experimental groups, in the treatment of hoof diseases of which they used Solka and Espuarol-Sin. Espuarol-Gel tested in leading cattle-breeding enterprises of the Chuvash Republic and the Republic of Tatarstan has a more pronounced therapeutic effect, providing a bactericidal effect on pathogens of cow hoofs, expressed in a decrease in the total group assessment of limb condition by 8.9%, the total claudication score by 13.7 %, and the total diameter of lesions by 4.1%, rather than Espuarol-Sin.

Wax moth is one of the main pests of bee colonies. Bee moth larvae have in their chemical composition many substances that are necessary for the preparation of drugs of the widest range of action. Beekeepers solve the problem of better control of greater wax moths using chemical, biological and other methods. The efficient methods to control Galleria mellonella include physical methods: temperature, radiation, etc. The purpose of this paper is to find the most effective optical radiation for a greater wax moth (Galleria mellonella L.), in which the productivity of bee colonies is maximally preserved, and unscathed G. mellonella larvae can be used to manufacture pharmaceutical preparations and biologically active supplements. The object of research is the Greater wax moth (eggs, larvae, pupae, and imago). We have developed a structure for determining the attractiveness of the optical radiation of different wavelengths for imago of greater wax moths. We found that the optical radiation in the wavelength range of 400…435 nm is the most attractive because it attracted a greater wax moths and therefore the number of eggs laid under the influence of this light was 1.5…2 times higher compared to radiation 491, 546 and 491 nm.

The article describes the installation of microwave drying UMS-2-10, its use in agricultural enterprises. Installation of combined drying (microwave and convective heating). The installation was developed by the research and production Association "Gamma" in Nizhny Novgorod. The principle of operation is based on the use of microwave energy in combination with the circulation of "warm" air. It is established that when choosing a drying unit for the food industry, it is necessary to keep in mind that the scientifically justified choice of the design of the dryer intended for drying specific types of plant substrates containing biologically active substances is more dependent on the structural properties and biological composition of the plant raw materials used in production. Drying plant UMS-2-10 installation provides for the use of microwave, convective and combined methods of heating the feedstock; characterized by small size and ease of operation; has optimal performance, focused on the orders of commercial enterprises, and not on the formation of large batches of finished products, the implementation of which may be in doubt; characterized by high maintainability, low cost and tariffs for delivery, and installation of the dryer.
