The implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the achievement of the targets proposed by its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a public awareness of all actors regarding the transition to sustainable development. This is a commitment of the European Union, given its commitment to the United Nations and its principles, as well as the desire to build a safer and better Europe for all, enshrined in the European Treaties and at the heart of European policies. Monitoring the progress of the SDGs at the level of the European Union is necessary to contribute to maximizing the progress in achieving the global objectives. For this purpose, through the present research, we want to highlight the trends regarding ensuring a healthy life and promoting the well-being of all, but also highlight the degree of fulfillment of the assumed targets through a statistical analysis of the main indicators, specific to SDG 3 at the level of the European Union. For this, we used the available European databases for the indicators selected in the research, starting from 2015 (the year of the adoption of the 2030 Agenda) and ending with the most recent statistical data. The analysis undertaken shows that some of the indicators (healthy life expectancy, perception of personal health status, standardized preventable and treatable mortality rate, self-reported unsatisfied need for examination and medical care) have been negatively affected in their evolution due to the pandemic COVID-19. If in the period before COVID19 there was progress in terms of the evolution of the main indicators of SDG 3, with the outbreak of the pandemic and, more recently, with the Russian-Ukrainian war, it is noted that the road to the proposed targets for the year 2030 has been made more difficult

Sustainable development is an important objective of European Union policies, being a responsibility at national, regional, and local level. In a prosperous Europe, addressing sustainable development and, above all, of the health and well-being of its citizens is essential. The EU expresses its concern for the approach of multifunctional indicators, which are relevant not only in the context of the 2030 Agenda, but also in relation to the objectives of the European Pillar of Social Rights, the objectives of the 8th environmental action program and the objectives of the European Green Deal. Growing obesity, noise exposure of individuals, incidence of fatal accidents at work, incidence of deaths in road traffic or exposure to fine particles are current problems of the European Union; these being found as indicators not only for tracking the progress of SDG 3, but also for tracking the progress of SDG 2, SDG 8 and SDG 11. In this regard, our paper aims at the progress of the third Sustainable Development Goal, by carrying out a multi-year statistical analysis of the multi-purpose indicators established by the European Union to track the achievement of the predetermined targets. The collection of quantitative data for analysis was carried out by consulting the Statistical Office of the European Union.

The present paper wants to present the current situation of the United States economy, underthe aegis of Donald Trump. For this, we will analyze the main macroeconomic indicators, as wellas the relationship with the trading partners, in terms of trade policies adopted. While the currentUS president initiated 102 investigations of various anti-dumping and countervailing duties fromthe beginning of his official term and until the beginning of March 2018, several additionalcustoms duties have been proposed or applied in the relationship with various partners. And theseaspects will be analyzed in the following, with all the related implications. Its mandate officially started in January of 2017, so we will try to capture the data for this period,in comparison with the previous years.

This paper is intended to present the current situation, but also the perspective of China'seconomy, taking into account the different trends of the world scene. We will analyze thecontribution to global growth, according to the main regions of the world, to identify the placeoccupied by China and to present a series of relevant indicators (Real Gross Domestic Product,Consumer Price Index), then identify areas where China excels, being a competitive, representativemarket. At the same time, we want to retain various opportunities and risks for the Chinese state,considering both domestic issues (policy decisions, tax measures, etc.), as well as aspects of theinternational market (price depression, changes in global demand).

This paper wants to present the current situation of the relationship between the United Statesand Mexico, given their membership of NAFTA, but also the current US president's view of it. Inthis regard, an analysis of the main macroeconomic indicators of the two economies is made, bothat the level of 1994 and in the years 2015-2016, in order to find similarities and differencesbetween them, but also to place them in the picture of the world economy. The US-Mexico trade for the 18-year period (1999-2016) will also be discussed, as well as theopinion of the politician and businessman Donald Trump as the official US official. All this will beshown in the following rows.

The international economic and financial-monetary crisis, as we know, began in developedeconomies. Just over eight years after the official announcement of Lehman Brothers bankruptcy(On September 15, 2008, Lehman announced its bankruptcy and AIG shares collapsed oninternational stock exchanges), the overall situation has seen a significant improvement, themacroeconomic damage created by the crisis has been largely focused, but not in a homogeneousmanner along the economies and regions. The present paper tries to fit the current situation and perspective of developed economies (suchas the US, the eurozone, Canada, Japan, the UK and others) in a general picture to capture themost relevant indicators, in perspective and in the unfavorable state of the world economy. Thus, according to the data presented by the International Monetary Fund and the UnitedNations experts, it seems that the forecasts for the current and the forthcoming year are notencouraging, and even have seen unfavorable revisions, both on savings categories and globally,of some indicators such as gross domestic product, economic growth, demand and supply of goodsand services, exports and imports, exchange rate, etc. All these aspects will be presented below.
