Descriptions, brief taxonomic notes and data on the ecology of the two species of Myrosmodes known from Argentina (M. gymnandra & M. paludosa) are provided. In addition, an identification key to Myrosmodes species known from the south–central Andes is given. The descriptions are complemented with illustrations and distribution maps. A new species of Altensteinia Kunth, probably endemic to the Colombian Andes, is described, illustrated and discussed, with notes on its habitat and altitude. A dichotomous key for determination of Altensteinia species in Colombia is provided

Descriptions, brief taxonomic notes, and data on the ecology of the Colombian Myrosmodes species as well as a key for determination of all species known from the northern Andes are provided. The descriptions are complemented by illustrations and maps of their distributions.

De acuerdo a datos macromorfológicos y de hábitat se transfiere Altensteinia nervosa Kraenzl. al género Myrosmodes. Se describe la especie y se establece el tipo.

A revision of Myrosmodes from Peru is presented. Seven species are recognized for the country. Each species is described and illustrated on the basis of a revision of type material, protologues and Peruvian specimens. Its distribution within the country is assessed. Myrosmodes nervosa is recorded for first time in Peru. New synonyms are proposed: M. cleefii is included under M. nubigena, M. inaequalis and M. pumilio under M. paludosa, M. weberbaueri under M. gymnandra, and M. cochlearis under M. rhynchocarpa. A key to identify the seven recognized species is also provided. A lectotype is designated for Aa chiogena. Se presenta una revisión de Myrosmodes del Perú. Se aceptan siete especies para el país. Se describe e ilustra cada especie con base en la revisión del material tipo, protólogos y material peruano. Se evalúa su distribución en el país. Myrosmodes nervosa se registra por primera vez para el Perú. Se proponen nuevos sinónimos: M. cleefii es incluido bajo la sinonimia de M. nubigena, M. inaequalis y M. pumilio bajo M. paludosa, M. weberbaueri bajo M. gymnandra y M. cochlearis bajo M. rhynchocarpa. También se proporciona una clave para identificar las especies reconocidas. Se designa un lectotipo para Aa chiogena.&nbsp

Three new species of the Andean genus Myrosmodes are described: Myrosmodes cleefi Szlach., Mytnik and S. Nowak, Myrosmodes reticulata Szlach., Mytnik and S. Nowak, and Myrosmodes subnivalis Szlach., Mytnik and S. Nowak. The former two species are known from a single population each, from Columbia, and the latter from Columbia and Ecuador. Each species is described and illustrated, and detailed habitat and distribution data are provided. A distribution map of the new species and the distribution range of the genus is presented. A dichotomous key for determination of the Andean species and Myrosmodes is provided. Conservation status assessments are provided for each species; current International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list categories and criteria are listed. A brief discussion of endemism in the Andes and Tropical Andes biodiversity hotspot is presented.

A new species of Aa from northern Peru is described: Aa aurantiaca, which has highly atypical orange flowers for the genus. Furthermore, two new combinations of Myrosmodes are proposed: M. inaequalis and M. gymnandra, with illustrations and diagnostic features of the new species. Se describe una nueva especie de Aa del norte del Perú: Aa aurantiaca; la cual tiene las flores de color naranja, siendo éste un color inusual para el género. Se proponen además dos nuevas combinaciones de Myrosmodes: M. inaequalis y M. gymnandra; se presentan ilustraciones y se discuten rasgos diagnósticos de las nuevas especies.
