Background Despite clarity in the matching-adjusted indirect comparison (MAIC) methodological guidelines, more research was needed to better understand MAIC applicability in practice, its impact on health economic models, and the outlook of reimbursement agencies on submissions including MAICs. Objective The aim of the current thesis was to evaluate how MAICs are used in practice to assess the comparative efficacy of haematologic cancer drugs for health economic modelling purposes. Methods Literature review studies were used to assess the underlying evidence of current treatment options for several haematologic cancer indications. MAICs were employed to indirectly compare the efficacy and safety of such treatments while accounting for the specificity of the underlying data. The MAIC findings were incorporated into a cost-effectiveness model and extrapolated over a lifetime span. Different extrapolation models were tested and compared to assess the best fit to the underlying survival curves. Results Literature shows that haematologic cancer treatments are mainly assessed in single-arm trials with few- to no head-to-head comparisons. While MAICs could close these evidence gaps, a lack of methodological uniformity in the way they are conducted in practice and their results reported could lead to biased or frail outcomes further being incorporated into health economic models. Extrapolation of such outcomes with suboptimal parametric curves could add to the compounding uncertainty and result into weak health technology assessment submissions. Conclusion The current doctoral thesis is advocating for more standardized methodology and reporting standards through a timely reconciliation of the theoretical guidelines with the practical realities.

International audience; L'étude de la contamination de la Loire par les microplastiques (taille < 5 mm) a débutée en 2021. A travers deux projets de recherche (ANR Sedi-Plast et projet Plasti-nium) qui permettent de couvrir un très large continuum spatial - de la Loire amont jusqu'à l'estuaire de Loire - différents travaux ont été entrepris pour quantifier les niveaux de contamination des sédiments par les microplastiques, mais également mieux cerner les relations entre microplastiques et processus hydrosédimentaires. Sur la base des premiers éléments aujourd'hui disponibles, les niveaux de concentrations, la typologie des microplastiques et la nature des polymères seront ici discutés et mis en perspective au regard du continuum Terre-Mer.

15e Journée scientifique de l'OSUNA, NANTES, FRANCE, 03-/06/2022 - 03/06/2022; Le projet Plasti-nium - Débris Plastiques dans le continuum terre-mer - ambitionne d'étudier la pollution plastique de la ville jusqu'à la mer et de créer une dynamique transverse et interdisciplinaire sur cette thématique au sein de la Région des Pays de la Loire. La problématique des débris plastiques et plus spécifiquement des microplastiques (taille < 5 mm) est aujourd'hui très médiatisée et trouve une caisse de résonance importante dans notre société civile. Concomitamment, la communauté scientifique démontre les impacts négatifs générés par cette pollution plastique sur les écosystèmes. Il en résulte aujourd'hui que les actions gouvernementales et autres actions locales et régionales se multiplient. La région des Pays de la Loire, dans le cadre de la stratégie « ambition marine » de 2018, vise spécifiquement la pollution plastique, et précise que des initiatives très concrètes de réduction sont déjà opérationnelles ou sur le point de l'être. Nantes Métropole, territoire reconnu « Zéro déchet, zéro gaspillage » soutient également des initiatives expérimentales, innovantes, contribuant à un territoire zéro déchet. Évaluer la mise en oeuvre de ces actions quelle que soit leur forme - de la sensibilisation à la gestion intégrée et concertée au niveau d'un territoire - constitue un enjeu. Le projet Plasti-nium vise à offrir un accompagnement scientifique de ces programmes, et de bien articuler l'acquisition des connaissances, leur transfert et les actions des politiques publiques. Cet accompagnement peut largement contribuer au rayonnement national et international de ces initiatives. Dans cette démarche, la finalité du projet Plasti-nium est de fournir un cadre de réflexion et d'expertise pour alimenter l'élaboration et la mise en oeuvre du plan régional de prévention et de gestion des déchets avec lequel la Région ambitionne d'être un territoire leader en termes de gestion des déchets.

La qualité de l'air respiré par les usagers est de plus en plus affirmée dans les politiques publiques de transport dont les transports en commun en site propre (TCSP) constituent souvent des projets phares. Cet article s'attache à mesurer deux composantes importantes de la qualité de l'air urbain : les particules et les hydrocarbures aromatiques polycycliques. Le terrain d'étude (l'Île-de-Nantes) a été choisi en raison de la présence de divers types de TCSP (chronobus, busway, tramway). Les résultats montrent une qualité d'air différente en fonction des différents types de TCSP, influencée par l'environnement proche des lignes et notamment la circulation automobile. Ces informations pourraient être prises en compte dans la constitution d'un diagnostic état zéro pour réaliser l'évaluation des projets de transport en commun en site propre

This study describes a system in which a micro UAV (quadrotor) was coupled with a Kinect (v2), a Myo armband and an RGB camera. The quadrotor was connected to two PC clients or workstations and communicated through the Robot Operating System. The UAV moved to the marked targets in a cluttered environment without collision using the depth sensor. Recognises faces via the on-board camera based on the frame by frame basis and uses feature-based monocular simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM) in real-time. The SLAM tracks the pose of the quadrotor, simultaneously builds an incremental map of the surrounding environment to locate the UAV in that. The Myo armband was employed for teleoperation which commands the quadrotor to start/stop its journey or to begin a new task using hand gestures. The face recognition algorithm was developed using the Fisherface library and pre-trained database. Three missions were assigned to the UAV; to detect the marked area via Kinect's depth sensor, fly towards and hover around the marked area, send the image/video streams to the ground station and to look for the person's face in the crowded environment, match the name with the face owner and follow him/her within the distance of $2$ m. \ud Various organisations could use the proposed system for different purposes. It could be utilised for search and rescue, environmental monitoring, surveillance or inspection. It could be used to identify a person in a collapsed building, in urban/suburban areas or to locate people with a particular need (alzheimer or dementia casualties which leads to wandering behaviour).

International audience; Internal erosion (IE) affects the stability of natural and reinforced materials by causing instability within their granular structure. The dislodgement and transport of eroded particles affect both the particulate concentration of eroding fluid and the pore network of eroded material. In this study, we examined these modifications using a transport model with a finite element code. First, IE tests on chemically reinforced sand columns were performed to obtain information about eroded material loss of mass, particulate concentration of effluent, porosity and permeability modifications, and existing IE stages. Second, based on experimental results, a mathematical one-dimensional model has been formulated to monitor the evolution and spatial distribution of erodible solids, fluidized particles, porosity, permeability, and seepage stresses. The model consists of a set of coupled nonlinear differential equations solved in sequence. It provides valuable information about the extent and the dynamics of structural changes, which can be used to estimate an IE time for the hydraulic work to reach failure.

Current transport systems are not likely to be sustainable, since energy resources may be less accessible, facing a rapidly growing demand and because of environmental constrains. In this context a great interest arose for sharing environmental assessment practices between infrastructures owners and researchers. For this present work a partnership between RFF and Ifsttar was decided to study environmental effects and energy consumption for railways life cycle. It paves the way to a full life cycle analysis (LCA) for environmental burdens of railway infrastructures and aims at identifying the best design practices at the project level related to environmental criteria. This LCA takes into account earthwork, railway structure and the operation phase, i.e., the analysis performed is based on the estimation of energy consumptions due to construction, maintenance and on the traffic. Results of this work could enhance practices for environment preservation for the plan of building 4000 kilometres of new high-speed railways, decided in the French National Transport infrastructure scheme. Applying LCA to the project phase is a rather new approach. It requires defining a global functional unit as a basic hypothesis of any study, different from the previous studies. Then, the lifecycle subsystems are successively investigated (construction, maintenance and use) to determine the best way for project Functional Unit definition and further assessment method application.
