Abstract

The article offers information on the association between polymorphisms in angiogenesis-related genes and the prognosis of classical Hodgkin lymphoma. It mentions Vascular epithelial growth factor A (VEGFA) and its receptor (KDR), together with hypoxiainducible factor-1 alpha (HIF1A), play major roles as regulators of angiogenesis; and also mentions that carriers of variant genotypes of VEGFA and glutathione S-transferase (GST) polymorphisms had worst event-free survival (EFS) .

Abstract

Duration of previous treatment, duration and depth of molecular response, previous resistance, BCR::ABL1transcript, and lymphocyte subtypes are known predictive factors of molecular recurrence after tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) discontinuation in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients (pts). Few studies explored the kinetics of BCR::ABL1during a dose de-escalation phase before discontinuation in predicting molecular relapse.
