Abstract The application of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for disaster preparedness and sustainable agriculture has been a topic of great interest lately. In the last few years, extreme weather swings due to climate change caused by global warming have caught the farming community off guard, especially in the developing world. One of the key objectives of smart agriculture is optimal use of freshwater, which has become an increasingly scarce resource around the world. Reference Evapotranspiration (ETo), an estimation of total flux of water evaporating from a reference surface is an important parameter for irrigation management. IoT & AI-based location-specific estimation of ETo for crop water requirements augments the decision-making process. In this work, we utilize the Hargeaves and Samani (H–S) model and six regression algorithms for the estimation of ETo. We create a location-specific dataset with locally sensed IoT data from a flood warning system and remotely sensed meteorological data, spanning over 5 years. We train and test Linear Regression (LR), Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), Radial Basis Function (RBF), Support Vector Regression (SVR), Bagging and Random Forest (RF) algorithms on the locally curated dataset with 20 basic, extracted, and derived attributes. We gradually reduce number of attributes in the dataset from 20 to 3 and compare performance of the six algorithms using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), Relative Absolute Error (RAE), Root Relative Squared Error (RRSE), Coefficient of Determination R2, Kendall Tau and Spearman Rho metrics. SVR shows superior performance with an MAE of 0.03 and an RMSE of 0.05, followed closely by MLP with an MAE of 0.04 and RMSE of 0.06 with a dataset of 12 attributes. The performance of Bagging and RF algorithms remains relatively unchanged with feature reduction whereas RBF shows slight improvement in performance when number of attributes is reduced to 3. Finally, we develop a novel ensemble hybrid model using the Stacked Generalization technique, which outperforms all individual models in prediction accuracy when using reduced-feature datasets. This work clearly delineates the performances of a diverse set of ML algorithms for feature-rich and feature-scarce scenarios and demonstrates the efficacy of our hybrid ensemble ML algorithm for estimating ETo under limited availability of data in resource-constrained environments.

Increasing access to quality Tuberculosis (TB) services and patient-centered care is one strategy to eliminate TB. Objective: To determined the comparison of the perception of pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Kampung Bali Health Center and the Perum I Health Center in Pontianak City. Methods: Cross-sectional analytical observational design with total sampling method on 34 patients with details of 17 patients at the Puskesmas Kampung Bali and 17 at the Puskesmas Perum I. This research used the QUOTE-TB Light questionnaire and the Mann- Whitney comparison test as the statistical test. Results: There are no differences in the dimensions of the availability of TB services (p=0.520), communication and information (p=0.420), interaction and counseling (p=0.722), infrastructure (p = 0.608), affordability (p=1,000), and stigma (p=0,966) and there is a significant difference in the dimensions of professional competence (p=0.007). Conclusion: There is a difference in professionalcompetences. It is necessary to evaluate the competence and performances of health workers at Puskesmas Kampung Bali and Puskesmas Perum I.Keywords: Quality of TBC treatment services, patient’s perspective, QUOTE-TB Light, Tuberculosis

This research explores the application and potential of batik business actors in the implications of the circular economy (CE) model in Pekalongan, Indonesia. As a prominent cultural heritage, the batik industry is essential to the regional economy. However, conventional linear production and consumption practices have resulted in environmental challenges, resource depletion, and waste generation. By embracing CE principles that emphasize resource efficiency, waste reduction, and closed-loop systems, the batik industry in Pekalongan can develop sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. This study examines critical aspects of CE implementation, starting with community participation in the batik, drawing insights from successful CE implementation in other industries. The implementation of CE in other industries is the role of business actors in the business chain outside Kampong. This paper analyzes the potential benefits and challenges of implementing CE in the Pekalongan batik industry and the role of stakeholders in promoting circularity. By highlighting the feasibility of the CE model, the results of this research are that the level of community participation in implementing a CE has not been maximized with the potential remaining production output so that this aspect of the condition becomes a sustainable opportunity to encourage sustainable practices in the Pekalongan batik industry.

Self-regulated learning refers to a student's ability to organize and control their learning process, while learning styles include individual preferences in processing information. This type of research is field research with a quantitative approach and ex post facto model. The population was of class XI at Senior High Schools in Banjarmasin, totaling 803 students. The sampling technique was simple random sampling, and 260 students were obtained. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques include simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The results showed that: 1) There is a positive and significant relationship between learning independence and Arabic learning outcomes. 2) There is a positive and significant relationship between learning style and Arabic learning outcomes. 3) There is a positive and significant relationship simultaneously between learning independence and learning styles in Arabic learning outcomes.

Abstract The demand for glucose monitoring devices has witnessed continuous growth from the rising diabetic population. The traditional approach of blood glucose (BG) sensor strip testing generates only intermittent glucose readings. Interstitial fluid‐based devices measure glucose dynamically, but their sensing approaches remain either minimally invasive or prone to skin irritation. Here, a sweat glucose monitoring system is presented, which completely operates under rest with no sweat stimulation and can generate real‐time BG dynamics. Osmotically driven hydrogels, capillary action with paper microfluidics, and self‐powered enzymatic biochemical sensor are used for simultaneous sweat extraction, transport, and glucose monitoring, respectively. The osmotic forces facilitate greater flux inflow and minimize sweat rate fluctuations compared to natural perspiration‐based sampling. The epidermal platform is tested on fingertip and forearm under varying physiological conditions. Personalized calibration models are developed and validated to obtain real‐time BG information from sweat. The estimated BG concentration showed a good correlation with measured BG concentration, with all values lying in the A+B region of consensus error grid (MARD = 10.56% (fingertip) and 13.17% (forearm)). Overall, the successful execution of such osmotically driven continuous BG monitoring system from passive sweat can be a useful addition to the next‐generation continuous sweat glucose monitors.

This research aimed to develop wound dressings from weft-knitted spacer fabrics as an alternative to existing dressing options. A Stoll Type CMS530 HP electronic flat knitting machine was used to develop spacer weft knitted fabrics, which were tested with various experimental configurations by adjusting the linking distances, spacer yarn ratios, and inlays for proper optimization. Fabric physical and performance properties were evaluated to determine the application of wound dressings and the influence of structural differences. The result showed that the fabric with nylon-to-cotton yarn containing a linking distance setting of 6 needles at a ratio of 1:3, had the highest total performance value, making it the most appropriate fabric for exudate dressing in humid environmental conditions. The fabric with the highest water absorption capacity, and moisture management fabric type was the most effective.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to understand the determinants affecting the adoption behavior of eCourier services and to establish a moderating role of resistance to change between behavioral intention and actual usage behavior. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected through a survey questionnaire that was distributed to the eCourier users. A total of 260 collected data were analyzed by using structural equation modeling. Findings – The results of the study demonstrate that all the factors considered for the study have a significant impact on the adoption of eCourier except social influence and customer service. The results also confirm that there is no moderating effect of resistance to change in the relationship between behavioral intention and actual usage. Practical implications – This research provides theoretical contribution by extending the practical knowledge focusing on the adoption intention of eCourier, and actual usage behavior using Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model—a pertinent and unresearched topic in the existing literature that presents a number of potential avenues for further study. Originality/value – This study provides a general understanding of consumers in underdeveloped nations and advances earlier research on the usage of e-commerce in the courier sector.

Latar Belakang : Sebesar 1-3% anak di bawah usia 5 tahun mengalami keterlambatan perkembangan dasar, dimana penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan merupakan salah satu penyebabnya.1 Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara durasi penggunaan gadget terhadap perkembangan dasar anak usia prasekolah di Taman Kanak-kanak (TK) Kota Pontianak. Metodologi: Penelitian ini bersifat analitik dengan desain potong lintang pada 96 siswa di TK Kota Pontianak. Hasil penelitian diuji dengan uji statistik chi square menggunakan SPSS 23.0. Hasil: Analisis univariat menunjukkan gadget milik orang tua sebesar 84,5% dan pengenalan gadget dilakukan oleh orang tua berjumlah 80,2% serta usia anak paling muda mengenal gadget adalah 8 bulan. Terdapat 15 orang (15,6%) mengalami penyimpangan, sebagian besar pada aspek bicara bahasa. Analisis bivariat antara durasi penggunaan gadget terhadap perkembangan dasar yaitu p=0,376. Kesimpulan: Terdapat anak yang mengalami penyimpangan perkembangan namun tidak ditemukan hubungan bermakna antara durasi penggunaan gadget terhadap perkembangan dasar anak usia prasekolah di Kota Pontianak.

Background: Cerebellum is one of the vital components of the brain that will be affected by ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury. IR injury will increase free radicals, which in turn can trigger apoptosis and cell death. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the effect of chlorogenic acid administration on apoptosis and the number of cells in the cerebellum of rats with global ischemic transients. Materials and methods: Wistar rats were divided into five groups: sham-operated (C1), IR (C2), IR + 15 mg/kgBW chlorogenic acid (T1), IR + 30 mg/kgBW chlorogenic acid (T2), and IR + 60 mg/kgBW chlorogenic acid (T3). C2, T1, T2, and T3 groups received bilateral common carotid occlusion (BCCO) surgery to induce IR injury. Thirty minutes after BCCO surgery, T1, T2, and T3 rats were administered chlorogenic acid in various doses intraperitoneally. RNA extraction and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) measurements were then performed on NeuN, Bcl2, Bax, caspase 3, as well as on GAPDH as housekeeping genes. Results: There were significant differences in NeuN expressions between groups, with the highest expression shown in C1 followed by T3. Bcl2 expressions were also significantly different between groups, and rats in C1 and T3 showed to be significantly higher compared to C2, while T1 was significantly lower than C1. However, Bax and caspase 3 expressions showed no significant differences. Conclusion: Chlorogenic acid in 60 mg/kgBW dose increases NeuN expression and Bcl2 mRNA expression after transient global ischemia. These increases might correlate with the heightened level of protection against apoptosis in the cerebellum, hence showing its potential in protecting neuron cells. Swamp land is a rubber development area in South Kalimantan and rubber plants are a leading commodity in South Kalimantan, second after palm oil plants. Starting in 2019, the rubber industry in Indonesia experienced an outbreak of leaf fall disease. This disease causes a decrease in latex production of up to 50%, even in advanced conditions, infected plants will rot and die without treatment. This research aims to study the distribution of rubber leaf fall disease in the swamplands of Barito Kuala district. A disease incidence and severity survey was carried out using a stratified random sampling method. It was observed that eight sub-districts in Barito Kuala district and Banjar district had swamp land that planted rubber. At four locations/villages in each sub-district, sample plants were taken, and it was determined that there were 25 plants diagonally. Disease incidence and severity parameters followed the International Rubber Research Development Board. The research revealed that rubber leaf fall disease has spread in four rubber-plantation sub-districts. All sub-districts surveyed were 100% affected by rubber leaf fall disease. The rubber leaf fall disease attack in the studied is quite severe with an average disease severity of 67%. Keywords: Distribution, Leaf fall disease, Rubber, Swamp land

IntroductionThis present research was designed to investigate the anti-inflammatory and immune-modulatory effects of a 50% hydroethanolic extract of “Gola” guava fruit (GF50%) and guava leaf (GL50%) against papain-induced knee osteoarthritis (KOA).MethodsSixty Sprague–Dawley rats were divided into five groups (10 rats/ group): T0 (negative control), T1 (positive control), T2 (200 mg/kg GF50%), T3 (400 mg/kg GF50%), T4 (200 mg/kg GL50%), and T5 (400 mg/kg GL50%). Physical parameters were evaluated throughout the trial, while biochemical, histopathological, and radiographic analyses were performed at 0, 15, and 30 days. The histopathological and radiographic analyses were evaluated using the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) score and Kellgren–Lawrence (KL) classification systems, respectively.Results and discussionThe T1 group demonstrated a significant increase in knee diameter, confirming successful OA induction. The T5 group maintained a significantly lower body weight at day 30, and the T3 group exhibited the highest weight gain. The high dose of GL50% (400 mg/ kg) effectively reduced knee inflammation and significantly downregulated myeloperoxidase (MPO), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). In contrast, it significantly (p < 0.001) upregulated the serum and knee capsule tissue superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx). In addition, histopathological and X-ray examinations also confirmed the chondroprotective potential of GL50% extract against OA. Consequently, 400 mg/kg GL50% exhibited anti-inflammatory and chondroprotective potential by lowering oxidative stress and pro-inflammatory cytokines and elevating antioxidant status. These findings could provide a theoretical basis for understanding the mechanism and potential medicinal value of guava fruit and leaf in treating KOA.

The integration of heterogeneous and unstructured data in Industry 4.0, poses a significant challenge, particularly with advanced manufacturing techniques. To address this issue, Knowledge Graphs (KGs) have emerged as a pivotal technology, yet their deployment often encounters the problem of incompletion due to data diversity and diverse storage formats. This study tackles the challenge of KG completion by applying and evaluating state-of-the-art KG embedding models-ComplEx, DistMult, TransE, ConvKB, and ConvE-within a football manufacturing production line context. Our analysis employs two principal metrics of Mean Reciprocal Rank (MRR) and Hits@N (Hits@10, Hits@3, and Hits@1) to comprehensively assess model performance. Our findings reveal that TransE significantly outperforms its counterparts, achieving an average accuracy of 91%, closely followed by ComplEx and DistMult with accuracies of 87% and 84%, respectively. Conversely, ConvKB and ConvE exhibit lower performance levels, with accuracy values of 79% and 76%. Through rigorous statistical testing, including t-tests, meaningful differences in MRR values across the models have been observed, with TransE leading in MRR and ConvE at the lower end of the spectrum. Our research not only sheds light on the efficacy of various KG embedding models in managing tree-like structured datasets within the manufacturing domain but also offers insights into optimising KGs for improved integration and analysis of data in production lines. These contributions are valuable both from academic research in KG completion and industrial practices aiming to enhance production efficiency and data coherence in advanced manufacturing settings.

ABSTRACTChocolate is the most popular food type and flavor in this world. The key ingredient in many chocolate products is cocoa butter due to its unique fatty acid profile. Due to the expensive nature of cocoa butter, it has stimulated extensive research for fats that are cheaper and more easily available and can be used as cocoa butter substitutes. The mango (Mangifera indica) is known as the king of fruit due to its rich nutritive profile. The major parts of mango fruit are peel, pulp, and seed. Mango seed is usually discarded as waste which is a source of edible oil (7–12%). The current study was designed to produce chocolate with mango seed oil as a cocoa butter replacer. Mango seed oil was extracted using the soxhlet apparatus and its physiochemical properties were evaluated. Extracted oil was used in chocolate preparation with different proportions (0%, 30%, 70%, and 100%). Furthermore, chocolate was subjected to explore the effect of storage (21days) on product quality and sensory with 7days interval. Current results show that mango seed oil has a valuable fat profile containing palmitic acid (C16:0) 26%, stearic acid (C18:0) 36%, and oleic acid (C18:2) 33%. Moreover, innovative chocolate showed higher antioxidant activity as compared to control in different storage intervals. In addition, chocolate prepared with different proportions of mango seed oil showed higher sensory scores as compared to the control sample. The findings suggest that mango seed oil can replace cocoa butter in chocolate and reduce/manage mango seed waste to improve its antioxidant activity and nutritional value.

The Calotes genus presents a challenge due to the complexity of its species. However, research on the cryptic species complex within the Indonesian Calotes genus is still lacking. This study aims to determine the extent of genetic relationships and assess the potential existence of a species complex within the Indonesian genus Calotes (Daudin, 1802) (Squamata, Agamidae) using the partial Cytochrome c Oxidase Subunit 1 (COI) gene sequence as a molecular marker. Samples of the Indonesian Calotes genus in this study were collected from South Lampung (Lampung), Bogor (West Java), and Langkat (North Sumatra). By aligning 582 bp sequence similarities with reference sequences in GenBank, we confirmed that seven out of eight samples analyzed belonged to Calotes vultuosus, while one sample was identified as Calotes versicolor. The identity values ranged from 96 to 100%. The C. vultuosus samples in this study displayed lower genetic distances, ranging from 0 to 3%, with the reference C. vultuosus sequence from Indonesia compared to the reference sequence from India, which ranged from 6 to 9%. Phylogenetic tree reconstruction, utilizing both maximum likelihood with IQ-Tree and Bayesian Inference with BEAST methods, further supports these findings. It reveals distinct groupings between C. vultuosus samples from Indonesia and India. These results suggest the potential occurrence of a species complex within the Indonesian genus Calotes. Furthermore, the inclusion of eight COI gene sequences from two Calotes species in the GenBank database has the potential to confirm the existence of previously undocumented species in Indonesia.

Drought stress poses a significant challenge to agriculture sustainability across the globe. Drought stress negatively affects the plant growth and productivity and the intensity of this serious abiotic stress is continuously increasing which is a serious threat across the globe. Different measures are being used to mitigate the adverse impacts of drought stress. Among these measures, the application of exogenous osmolytes and growth hormones is considered an important way to mitigate the adverse impacts of drought. Recently, jasmonic acid (JA) has emerged as an excellent growth hormone to improve drought tolerance owing to its involvement in different plant physiological and biochemical processes. Jasmonic acid improves membrane stability plant water relations, nutrient uptake, osmolyte accumulation, and antioxidant activities that can counter the toxic effects of drought. It also contributes to signaling pathways, i.e., genes network, stress-responsive proteins, signaling intermediates, and enzymes that protect the plants from the toxic effects of drought. Further, JA also protects and maintains the integrity of plant cells by up-regulating the antioxidant defense system and increasing osmolyte accumulation. In this review, we have documented the protective role of JA under drought stress. The various mechanisms of JA in inducing drought tolerance are discussed and different research gaps are also identified. This review will help the readers to learn more about the role of JA to mitigate the toxic effects of drought and it will provide new knowledge to develop the drought tolerance in plants.

Provinsi Lampung menjadi penghasil telur ayam terbesar di Indonesia menurut data BPS pada tahun 2021. Namun, UMKM peternak ayam petelur di Dusun Rumbia, Desa Krawang Sari, Kecamatan Natar, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, menghadapi persaingan ketat antar pedagang telur ayam. Untuk membantu UMKM ini, terutama milik Bapak Wasirun, mahasiswa Magister Manajemen Universitas Lampung Angkatan 2023 melakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan media digital. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis situasi, wawancara, diskusi, dan pemecahan masalah. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah pembuatan akun Instagram dan TikTok sebagai media promosi, website berbasis penjualan untuk memudahkan pembelian produk, serta pemberian kemasan yang lebih aman dan higienis untuk menarik konsumen. Dengan pengembangan dan digitalisasi pemasaran ini, diharapkan UMKM peternak ayam petelur di Dusun Rumbia dapat meningkatkan produktivitas, dikenal lebih luas, bersaing dengan kompetitor, dan meningkatkan laba usaha.

Abstract Background The current guidelines have discouraged the routine use of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) in cardiogenic shock complicating acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Since then, the trend of IABP utilization in ACS has been declining. Nevertheless, the guidelines still preserve the recommendation of IABP use in hemodynamic instability or cardiogenic shock caused by post myocardial infarction (MI) ventricular septal rupture (VSR). Case presentation A 46-years-old diabetic Southeast Asian female was referred from a peripheral facility with intractable heart failure despite treatment with vasoactive agents and diuretics for five days. The ECG suggested a recent anteroseptal myocardial infarction with normal high-sensitivity troponin-I value. The echocardiography detected a regional wall motion abnormality and a 10 mm wide ventricular septal defect. Invasive coronary angiography revealed a severe two-vessel coronary artery disease. We planned a delayed surgical strategy with preoperative optimization using IABP as a bridge to surgery. IABP implantation followed by significant hemodynamic improvement and rapid resolution of heart failure without any inotrope support. Afterwards, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and VSR surgical repair were performed. We safely removed IABP on the third postoperative day with proper weaning and minimal vasoactive support. Conclusion We report a case where IABP still provided benefits for a patient with intractable heart failure caused by undetermined onset MI complicated by VSR. The use of IABP in such a case is in accordance with the recommendation of the current guidelines. Several studies showed that IABP use during preoperative optimization in the case of post-MI VSR was associated with survival benefits.

Augmented Reality (AR) is one of them.Augmented Reality is helpful as a combination of virtual and Reality devices that operate interactivelyin a realtime natural environment. Based Marker Tracking is a method used to make objects into twodimensions and three dimensions whose process begins with directing the marking object by the userusing the camera on the mobile device until the camera reads the object. Light intensity affects detectionsuccess, and distance calculation also becomes essential. If the marker is successfully detected, theapplication will convert it into a 3-dimensional object as the final result. In this study, a location searchwill be carried out for the STMIK TEGAL Campus Building using Augmented Reality based on theBased Marker Tracking method to produce the most ideal conditions to be able to display 3D objectsfrom the STMIK TEGAL Building, which is a distance of 15 to 25 cm with bright Light using Android,so that this application can be used to find the location of the STMIK TEGAL Building.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the osteotomy results and application of Ilizarov to lower limb deformities. METHODOLOGY: This case series study on twenty-three patients of either sex was conducted in Akbar Medical Center Peshawar from November 2016 to April 2021. The ages of the patients were ten and above. To reduce the bias, we have excluded patients with diabetes mellitus, patients on oral anticoagulants, tobacco addicts and those on steroid or immunocompromised patients. Preoperatively, the deformity was calculated to determine how long it would take to correct, so double the time was required to consolidate the callus at the corticotomy site when it was corrected. So, some frames were removed early while others were removed late. All the data were collected with the help of a proforma and then entered into SPSS version 20 for analysis. RESULTS: There were 23 patients, nine males (39.1%) and fourteen females (60.9%). The mean age was 19.39, the minimum was 10, and the maximum was 40 years. Both sides were involved 6(26.1%) in while right 9(39.1%) was involved in and left 8(34.8%) in cases. Site of deformity was ankle in 4(17.4%), femur in 4(17.4%), knee in 8(34.8%) while tibia was involved in 7(30.4%) cases. A single osteotomy was done in 16(69.6%) cases, while a double osteotomy was done in 7(30.4%) cases due to the CORA being calculated in two places. Ten (43.5%) cases were complication-free, while there was acceptable residual deformity in 4(17.4%), pin lessening in 2(8.7%), pin tract infection in 3(13.0%), and restricted knee movement in 4(17.4%). CONCLUSION: The Ilizarov External fixator is best for deformity correction in all dimensions and directions if the patient and attendant complain otherwise.

Aim: This study aimed to compare the tight rope technique and clavicular hook plate for the treatment of acute acromioclavicular joint dislocations. Study type, settings & duration: This randomized control trial was conducted at PAEC General Hospital, Islamabad from January 2019 to December 2021. Methodology: A total of 50 patients were selected. Patients have been divided into two groups Group A patients underwent the Tight-rope technique and Group B patients underwent the clavicular hook technique. Patients presenting with acute acromioclavicular joint dislocations of Rockwood type III and V, both males and females were included aged 18 to 50. Patients presenting with type I and type II injuries, AC joint arthritis, and fractures of the distal clavicle were excluded. Both techniques were compared in terms of VAS score and CMS score postoperatively. Results: The mean postoperative VAS pain score in group A was 1.76±0.77 and 2.32±1.03 in group B. The mean CMS score in group A was 88.92±2.3 and 84.6±3.4 in group B. The outcomes in Group A showed significant improvement as compared to group B. Conclusion: The Tight-rope technique showed significantly better outcomes as compared to the clavicular hook plate technique.

ABSTRACTBer (Ziziphus mauritiana), also known as “Chinese date” or “jujube,” belongs to the Rhamnaceae family. The current research was designed to assess the effect of storage temperatures (5°C and 15°C) on ascorbic acid content, reducing sugar content, and titratable acidity of four ber (Z. mauritiana) varieties, i.e. Karela, Aakash, Pak white, and Dil-Bahar. For this purpose, fresh ber (Z. mauritiana) varieties were acquired from the Regional Agriculture Research Institute (RARI), Bahawalpur. In the first phase, these ber (Z. mauritiana) varieties were subjected to proximate analysis of reducing sugar contents, titratable acidity, antioxidant activity, and total phenolic contents. Maximum total phenolic content (144.38 ± 0.03 mgGAE/100 g) and antioxidant activity (39 ± 0.06%) were observed in Dil-Bahar variety. In the second phase, stored ber (Z. mauritiana) varieties were subjected to a storage study at 0, 7th, and 14th days for comparative evaluation based on titratable acidity, reducing sugar content, and ascorbic acid content. The results showed that the fruits stored at 5°C showed a maintained level of ascorbic acid content (31.26 ± 0.02 mg/100 g), reducing sugars (41.25 ± 0.02%), and titratable acidity (3.36 ± 0.01%) in Karela. On the contrary, Karela stored at 15°C showed a reduction in ascorbic acid content (28.12 ± 0.02 mg/100 g) and titratable acidity (1.21 ± 0.01%) and an increase in reduced sugar content (46.48 ± 0.03%). Moreover, Dil-Bahar variety showed higher ascorbic acid content (51.69 ± 0.05 mg/100 g), titratable acidity (3.51 ± 0.02%), and reducing sugar content (33.29 ± 0.01%) at 5°C. It was concluded that cultivars showed the best results at low storage temperatures of 5°C.

ABSTRACTIn the current study, wheat varieties Inqulab-91 and AS-2002 were milled from a roller mill and analyzed for chemical characteristics through Near Infra-Red spectroscopy. Friabilin was extracted with Triton X-114 buffer and evaluated on sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis against known molecular weight protein standards. Current results show that the chemical constituents and friabilin revealed significant variation and uneven distribution among flour streams. In both wheat varieties, break streams showed higher protein, moisture, gluten, Zeleny and ash values. Inqualb-91 break streams had a higher lipid content than AS-2002 flour streams, but no clear trend was identified. The 15 kDa band was absent in M3, T2, sizing and low-grade flour of Inqulab-91 while the faint band was present in the remaining streams. Among the remaining AS-2002 mill streams, B2, B4, M3, M5, T1, and sizing showed a prominent 15 kDa band, while the rest showed a faint band. Friabilin depicted a positive correlation with all constituents except fat in AS-2002 while a negative correlation with gluten, Zeleny and fat contents for Inqulab-91.

ABSTRACTGermination of seeds is a complex process linked to various molecular and biochemical changes that increase the nutritional value. This research has studied the impact of germination on the enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidant activities of five domestic staple legumes from Pakistan: chickpea, mung bean, soybean, lentil, and peanut. The maximum moisture content was recorded for chickpea, i.e., 11.7 ± 0.05 g 100 g−1 followed by lentil, soybean, peanut, and mung bean as 9.65 ± 0.02, 8.07 ± 0.01, 7.6 ± 0.01, and 7.31 ± 0.01 g 100 g−1, respectively. The overall augmentation in catalase activity during germination (days 1 to 4) was maximum for lentils, i.e., 76.22%, and ascorbate peroxidase activity for peanuts, i.e., 62.09%. The soybean showed a clear difference from the 1st to 4th days of germination for peroxide activity among all selected legumes with a 37.29% increase. A maximum change in superoxide dismutase was noticed in mung bean. The mung bean also had the highest variation in total flavonoid contents, while total phenolic contents were higher in the chickpea. The radical scavenging activity varied higher in peanuts, while the ascorbic acid content was maximum for soybeans. Among all selected legumes, non-germinated chickpeas showed a lower DPPH value, i.e., 1.15 ± 0.03%, whereas the highest DPPH value was observed in lentils (69.84 ± 0.05%). Thus, the incorporation of ready-to-eat (RTE) germinated legumes with high antioxidant activity would be a contemporary addition to the everyday meal.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to evaluate the effect of barley bran and flour-enriched yogurt against hypercholesterolemia in rats. Purposely, barley-enriched yogurts were prepared, and their quality characteristics including physicochemical, viscosity, textural and sensory analysis of functional yogurts were performed. The enrichment of 6% barley flour and barley bran in yogurt improved the viscosity, textural, physicochemical and sensory attributes. The barley bran and flour-enriched yogurt improved the growth of probiotics in T3 and T6. A hypercholesterolemic rats study was conducted and observed that lipid profile improved and glucose significantly decreased in response to functional yogurts. The improvement in functions of ALT (71.83 ± 1.61, 67.03 ± 1.67 and 62.33 ± 2.08 U/L), AST (245.17 ± 1.04, 231.33 ± 3.06 and 223.60 ± 2.79 U/L) and ALP (271.33 ± 1.53, 208.83 ± 1.26 and 189.37 ± 0.78 U/L) was observed G1, G4, and G5 groups, accordingly. It was concluded that barley bran exhibited greater potential than barley flour in the improvement of yogurt quality and hypercholesterolemia management.

Cadmium (Cd), as the most prevalent heavy metal contaminant poses serious risks to plants, humans, and the environment. The ubiquity of this toxic metal is continuously increasing due to the rapid discharge of industrial and mining effluents and the excessive use of chemical fertilizers. Nanoparticles (NPs) have emerged as a novel strategy to alleviate Cd toxicity. Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) have become the most important NPs used to mitigate the toxicity of abiotic stresses and improve crop productivity. The plants quickly absorb Cd, which subsequently disrupts plant physiological and biochemical processes and increases the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which causes the oxidation of cellular structures and significant growth losses. Besides this, Cd toxicity also disrupts leaf osmotic pressure, nutrient uptake, membrane stability, chlorophyll synthesis, and enzyme activities, leading to a serious reduction in growth and biomass productivity. Though plants possess an excellent defense mechanism to counteract Cd toxicity, this is not enough to counter higher concentrations of Cd toxicity. Applying Zn-NPs has proven to have significant potential in mitigating the toxic effects of Cd. ZnO-NPs improve chlorophyll synthesis, photosynthetic efficiency, membrane stability, nutrient uptake, and gene expression, which can help to counter toxic effects of Cd stress. Additionally, ZnO-NPs also help to reduce Cd absorption and accumulation in plants, and the complex relationship between ZnO-NPs, osmolytes, hormones, and secondary metabolites plays an important role in Cd tolerance. Thus, this review concentrates on exploring the diverse mechanisms by which ZnO nanoparticles can alleviate Cd toxicity in plants. In the end, this review has identified various research gaps that need addressing to ensure the promising future of ZnO-NPs in mitigating Cd toxicity. The findings of this review contribute to gaining a deeper understanding of the role of ZnO-NPs in combating Cd toxicity to promote safer and sustainable crop production by remediating Cd-polluted soils. This also allows for the development of eco-friendly approaches to remediate Cd-polluted soils to improve soil fertility and environmental quality.

Latar Belakang: Kanker kolorektal termasuk dalam keganasan terbanyak di dunia. Berbagai faktor turut mempengaruhi prognosis dari kanker salah satunya sistem imun. Sistem imun di sekitar tumor memiliki pengaruh terhadap progesivitas sel kanker. Salah satu sistem imun yang dapat diamati adalah Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL). Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya hubungan antara TIL dengan berbagai parameter klinikopatologi pada kanker kolorektal. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang. Subjek penelitian berupa 38 sampel blok parafin dan slide hematoksilin-eosin (HE) serta data klinikopatologi yang berasal dari sediaan operasi kanker kolorektal pada Laboratorium Patologi Anatomi RSUD Dr. Soedarso periode Januari – Desember 2020. Penilaian jumlah TIL dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok yaitu ringan (0-10%), sedang (11-59%), dan berat (60-100%). Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah TIL terbanyak adalah TIL berat yaitu sebanyak 16 kasus (42,1%). Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan status hidrasi dan intensitas latihan terhadap VO 2 Max pada atlet basket Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tanjungpura. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional . Subjek dari penelitian ini berjumlah 15 atlet Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tanjungpura yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengumpulan identitas responden, frekuensi latihan, durasi latihan, pengukuran berat badan berdasarkan kriteria dari National Athletic Trainers' Association , pengukuran tinggi badan, pengukuran VO 2 Max menggunakan metode rockport jogging1,6 km dan diberikan kuesioner skala Borg RPE. Hasil: sebanyak 8 orang (53,3%) mengalami dehidrasi ringan, intensitas latihan ringan 9 orang (60%), dan 8 orang (53,3%) dengan VO 2 Max kurang. Hasil uji korelasi spearman antara status hidrasi terhadap tingkat VO 2 Max menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,036 dan angka koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,545 yang menunjukkan terdapat korelasi positif dengan korelasi kuat. Kemudian antara intensitas latihan terhadap tingkat VO 2 Max menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,248 yang menunjukkan tidak terdapat korelasi. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan searah antara tingkat status hidrasi terhadap VO 2Max dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara intensitas latihan terhadap VO 2 Max pada keranjang atlet Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tanjungpura.

Advancements in assisted driving technologies are expected to enable future passengers to use a wide range of multimedia applications in electric vehicles (EVs). To address the bandwidth demands for high-resolution and immersive videos during peak traffic, this study introduces a bandwidth-management algorithm to support differentiated streaming services in heterogeneous vehicle-to-everything (V2X) networks. By leveraging cellular 6G base stations, along with Cell-Free (CF) Massive Multi-Input Multi-Output (mMIMO) Wi-Fi 7 access points, the algorithm aims to provide a high-coverage, high-speed, and low-interference V2X network environment. Additionally, Li-Fi technology is employed to supply extra bandwidth to vehicles with limited connectivity via V2V communication. Importantly, the study addresses the urgency and prioritization of different applications to ensure the smooth execution of emergency applications and introduces a pre-downloading mechanism specifically for non-real-time applications. Through simulations, the algorithm’s effectiveness in meeting EV users’ bandwidth needs for various multimedia streaming applications is demonstrated. During peak-bandwidth-demand periods, users experienced an average increase in bandwidth of 47%. Furthermore, bandwidth utilization across the V2X landscape is significantly improved.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are highly conserved endogenous single-stranded non-coding RNA molecules that play a crucial role in regulating gene expression to maintain normal physiological functions in fish. Nevertheless, the specific physiological role of miRNAs in lower vertebrates, particularly in comparison to mammals, remains elusive. Additionally, the mechanisms underlying the control of antiviral responses triggered by viral stimulation in fish are still not fully understood. In this study, we investigated the regulatory impact of miR-1388 on the signaling pathway mediated by IFN regulatory factor 3 (IRF3). Our findings revealed that following stimulation with the viral analog poly(I:C), the expression of miR-1388 was significantly upregulated in primary immune tissues and macrophages. Through a dual luciferase reporter assay, we corroborated a direct targeting relationship between miR-1388 and tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR)-associated factor 3 (TRAF3). Furthermore, our study demonstrated a distinct negative post-transcriptional correlation between miR-1388 and TRAF3. We observed a significant negative post-transcriptional regulatory association between miR-1388 and the levels of antiviral genes following poly(I:C) stimulation. Utilizing reporter plasmids, we elucidated the role of miR-1388 in the antiviral signaling pathway activated by TRAF3. By intervening with siRNA-TRAF3, we validated that miR-1388 regulates the expression of antiviral genes and the production of type I interferons (IFN-Is) through its interaction with TRAF3. Collectively, our experiments highlight the regulatory influence of miR-1388 on the IRF3-mediated signaling pathway by targeting TRAF3 post poly(I:C) stimulation. These findings provide compelling evidence for enhancing our understanding of the mechanisms through which fish miRNAs participate in immune responses.

School quality is the most important aspect and a major issue in the education system. This research aims to explore the influence of teamwork and curriculum effectiveness on improving school quality. The method employed is based on a quantitative design with a survey approach. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 146 respondents. School quality is the key variable in this research. The data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS software to provide detailed information on the contribution of each variable's indicators. The findings of this research indicate a strong contribution from each variable in enhancing school quality. The R-square value for the curriculum effectiveness variable is 0.365, meaning that this variable contributes to a 36.5% improvement in school quality. On the other hand, the teamwork variable contributes 62.3% to school quality. These results clearly demonstrate the originality of this research, highlighting that teamwork in schools has a higher contribution value than curriculum effectiveness. Future research needs to examine how to establish teamwork in Islamic educational institutions in an effort to enhance quality.

This research aims to determine the Influence of Leadership and Motivation on the Work Performance of New Group Leaders at PT Pamapersada Nusantara through Work Engagement. The sampling method used a probability sampling approach with a saturated sampling technique involving 220 respondents. Descriptive statistical methods were employed to analyze the data using the SmartPLS program. The results of this research indicate that: 1) Leadership has an impact on Work Performance. 2) Motivation does not affect Work Performance. 3) Leadership affects Work Engagement. 4) Motivation affects Work Engagement. 5) Work Engagement influences Work Performance. 6) Work Engagement mediates the relationship between Leadership and Work Performance. 7) Work Engagement mediates the impact of Motivation on the Work Performance of New Group Leaders at PAMA.

This article presents an investigation into the potential use of ground granulated blast-furnace slag (addressed as Slag cement or ‘SC’) as a replacement to Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) in hybrid (carbonation and hydration) cured cement-based materials. To investigate the effects of carbonation on mechanical performances and microstructures, 0 %–100 % OPC was replaced with slag cement (SC). Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR) spectra were utilized to investigate the carbonation reaction extent, rate, and microstructural phase formations. Slag cement was found to improve the efficiency and rate of carbonation. This study revealed that a minimum of 72 h of carbonation in a CO2-containing environment yields better mechanical performance compared to the traditional curing method. Specifically, the incorporation of 72 h of carbonation curing was observed to increase the strength of concrete up to 30 % after 28 days of total curing duration (carbonation and hydration). The chloride permeability of the carbonation cured samples was observed to reduce by 80 % due to the addition of SC. Finally, it was observed that, the carbonated concrete sample with slag has nearly 60 % lower global warming potential compared to the carbonated and non-carbonated concrete sample with 100 % OPC binder.

Orchid is an ornamental plant that has high aesthetic value with a variety of attractive colors on its flowers and has high economic value. One of the problems in the cultivation of orchids is the problem of pests that can inhibit growth and reduce the aesthetics of orchid plants. Not only that, the shortage of orchid plant experts can be a trigger for delays in identifying the types of pests on orchids, resulting in poor growth quality and even crop failure. Early identification is needed so that handling is fast so that the quality of growth is good. The solution offered by this research is the implementation of the certainty factor method for identifying web-based types of pests on dendrobium orchids. The stages of this research consist of knowledge acquisition, knowledge modeling, implementation, and accuracy testing. Based on the test results of 32 data, the certainty factor method can identify exactly 29 data and the rest are identified incorrectly, resulting in an accuracy of 90.6%. Thus, the certainty factor method can be used to identify the type of pest on orchids because it has very good accuracy.

The ongoing industrial revolution termed Industry 4.0 (I4.0) has borne witness to a series of profound changes towards increasing smart automation, particularly in the industrial sectors of automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, etc. Automatic welding, a widely applied manufacturing process in these domains, is not an exception to these changes. One type of automatic welding, Resistance Spot Welding (RSW), lies at the center of this work. Large volumes and varieties of RSW data are being generated, thanks to the technologies behind I4.0. To address the associated data challenges, ontologies are essential in various aspects: integrating data sources, enhancing interoperability, and unifying knowledge etc. However, there have been limited studies around the semantic modelling of Resistance Spot Welding: Existing ontologies have overlooked some crucial concepts, such as an operation-centric view, welding software, and welding electrodes, which are essential for the monitoring of sensor measurements as well as the status of machine components (e.g., electrode wear). Additionally, current ontologies are not publicly available (to the best of our knowledge), and therefore cannot be accessed by other users. Such a lack of availability often requires that users build their ontologies from scratch. In this paper, we propose our RSW ontology (RSWO) (RSWO is publicly available at https://w3id.org/def/mo-rswo) to formalize knowledge in the RSW domain. It combines three sources of knowledge: extensive discussions with Bosch welding experts; reusing terminologies following ISO-14327 and ISO-14373 standards; and existing established ontologies. We have evaluated RSWO on real-world data from monitoring welding quality at Bosch in Germany, using Competency Questions, FAIR principles, OOPS!, and OntoMetrics.

It is well known that Particulate Matter2.5 (PM2.5) has a major adverse effect on the organism. However, the health hazards of livestock farm PM2.5 to humans and animals are not yet known, and the role of miRNAs in the cellular damage induced by livestock farm PM2.5 is also unclear. Therefore, our study used cowshed PM2.5 to stimulate rat alveolar macrophage NR8383 to construct an in vitro injury model to investigate the effect of miR–122–5p on PM2.5-induced apoptosis in the NR8383. The level of apoptosis was quantified by flow cytometry and Hoechst 33342/PI double staining. Furthermore, the potential target gene Collagen type IV alpha (COL4A1) of miR–122–5p was identified through the use of bioinformatics methods. The results demonstrated a decline in cell viability and an increase in apoptosis with rising PM2.5 concentrations and exposure durations. The transfection of miR–122–5p mimics resulted in an upregulation of the pro-apoptotic protein Bcl–xL/Bcl–2 and activation of cleaved caspase–3 while inhibiting the anti-apoptotic protein B–cell lymphoma–2. The experimental data indicate that miR–122–5p is involved in the apoptotic process by targeting COL4A1. Furthermore, the overexpression of COL4A1 was observed to enhance the PM2.5-activated PI3K/AKT/NF–κB signaling pathway, which contributed to the inhibition of apoptosis. This finding offers a promising avenue for the development of therapeutic strategies aimed at mitigating cellular damage induced by PM2.5 exposure.

In aquaculture, viral diseases pose a significant threat and can lead to substantial economic losses. The primary defense against viral invasion is the innate immune system, with interferons (IFNs) playing a crucial role in mediating the immune response. With advancements in molecular biology, the role of non-coding RNA (ncRNA), particularly microRNAs (miRNAs), in gene expression has gained increasing attention. While the function of miRNAs in regulating the host immune response has been extensively studied, research on their immunomodulatory effects in teleost fish, including silver carp (Hyphthalmichthys molitrix), is limited. Therefore, this research aimed to investigate the immunomodulatory role of microRNA-30b-5p (miR-30b-5p) in the antiviral immune response of silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) by targeting cytokine receptor family B5 (CRFB5) via the JAK/STAT signaling pathway. In this study, silver carp were stimulated with polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid (poly (I:C)), resulting in the identification of an up-regulated miRNA (miR-30b-5p). Through a dual luciferase assay, it was demonstrated that CRFB5, a receptor shared by fish type I interferon, is a novel target of miR-30b-5p. Furthermore, it was found that miR-30b-5p can suppress post-transcriptional CRFB5 expression. Importantly, this study revealed for the first time that miR-30b-5p negatively regulates the JAK/STAT signaling pathway, thereby mediating the antiviral immune response in silver carp by targeting CRFB5 and maintaining immune system stability. These findings not only contribute to the understanding of how miRNAs act as negative feedback regulators in teleost fish antiviral immunity but also suggest their potential therapeutic measures to prevent an excessive immune response.

Acute unilateral foot drop is a well-known entity, but bilateral foot drop in progressive fashion is rare. In particular, slow-progressing bilateral foot drop occurs with various metabolic causes, as in anorexia nervosa, hypothyroid myopathy, Crohn’s disease, and post-electroconvulsive therapy. Parasagittal intracranial and spinal pathologies and cauda equine may also cause progressive bilateral foot drop. This case is presented with bilateral foot drop due to common peroneal nerve entrapment.

The development of a technological progress that is so very fast from ancient times until now, cannot be simply rejected, ranging from agriculture, social, culture to education which really helps all human activities become more efficient, one of the developments of this technological progress in the field of education is making innovations in the field of education, interactions become more diverse, such as where one of them is Virtual Reality (VR) technology in the form of applications on smartphones. The purpose of this research is to help the progress of education with the application of a sacrifice simulation that will be made as a learning medium for children. The research method that we use in our journal is a qualitative method, the results of this study make the application of qurban simulation to increase children's interest in learning in religious matters, namely understanding qurbani in a more different way. The main concept in this application is to present virtual reality regarding the simulation of sacrifices as a medium for children's learning. In the conclusion of this study, therefore with this application, virtual reality sacrifice applications can be made as children's learning media and help teachers in each school to teach and with this application children can feel directly in the form of virtual reality

The emergence of Industry 4.0 has transformed modern-day factories into high-tech industrial sites through rapid automation and increased access to real-time data. Deep learning approaches possessing superior capabilities for intelligent, data-driven fault diagnosis have become critical in ensuring process safety and reliability in these industrial sites. However, such applications trained exclusively on in-distribution process data face challenges in the wake of previously unseen out-of-distribution (OOD) data in the real world. This paper addresses the challenge of out-of-distribution data detection for deep learning-based fault diagnosis models by generating synthetic data to simulate real-world anomalies not present in the training set. We propose Manifold Guided Sampling (MGS), a data-driven method for generating synthetic OOD samples from the in-distribution data-supporting manifold estimated through a deep generative model. Synthetic data from MGS enhances the model capacity for prediction uncertainty quantification, resulting in safe and reliable models for real-world industrial process monitoring. Furthermore, the MGS algorithm maintains the in-distribution data feature space as a reference point during data generation to ensure the resulting synthetic OOD data is realistic. We analyze the effectiveness of MGS through experiments conducted on the steel plates faults dataset and demonstrate that augmenting training data with synthetic data from MGS enhances the model performance in OOD detection tasks and provides robustness against dataset distributional shifts. The findings underscore the effectiveness of utilizing synthetic MGS-generated OOD data in scenarios where real-world OOD data is limited, enabling better generalization and more reliable fault detection in practical applications.

Online Arabic learning presents several challenges, one of which is the ineffective utilization of learning media. This study aims to describe the tendency of Arabic learners through the Dars Arabi YouTube channel video media and the relationship between the learner's propensity and the variables of gender, age, and educational background of Dars Arabi channel users. This study uses a descriptive statistical method. The sample selection was taken randomly from as many as 160 people from a population of around 17,800 YouTube channel subscribers. This study's findings indicate that the tendency of online Arabic learners is at a moderately average level. This study also shows no statistically significant difference between trends in YouTube channel users and the variables of gender, educational background, and users' age. This study's conclusion shows the importance of using YouTube media to learn Arabic with content that is fun and can be enjoyed by all groups of society in a relaxed manner.

This research determines the student's learning strategies based on their learning styles. This research applied qualitative study. The subject of this research is the students of English literature class A in Universitas Negeri Makassar, who were selected through a purposive sampling technique. Thirty-five students were chosen as the subjects of this study. The data were obtained through questionnaires and interviews and then analyzed based on producers of data analysis identification, classification, and descriptive analysis. The result showed that i) there are some learning styles that students have, such as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic (VAK) learning styles; and ii) students' learning strategies based on their learning style where subjects engaged in several learning activities or methodologies. Two types of learning techniques were primarily considered: individual and group strategies. The individual strategies were marked by all of the activities the subjects had done, and the group strategies described the learning actions employed by the subjects to comprehend the knowledge or the lesson by engaging friends who could help them.

English language teaching (ELT) in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, commonly known as "pesantren," presents a unique context that requires a tailored pedagogical approach. This study aimed to explore the application of context-responsive pedagogy in ELT within the unique context of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. This qualitative study employed semistructured interviews and classroom observation as data generation methods to gain insights into the experiences and perspectives of English language teachers regarding the implementation of context-responsive pedagogy in English language instruction. The findings revealed the importance of understanding learner needs, incorporating authentic materials, promoting cultural sensitivity, and effective use of technology in ELT practices in Islamic boarding school contexts. This study delves into how English language teachers navigated and negotiated their practices with the sociocultural and religious values entrenched in this institution. It also highlighted the challenges English language teachers in this school context faced in the implementation of context-responsive pedagogy. Eventually, this research provides valuable insights for ELT practitioners, policymakers, and researchers interested in incorporating context-specific pedagogy to optimize ELT in Islamic boarding schools and similar educational contexts.

This scoping review investigates instructional strategies implemented in recent studies to enhance the digital application usage experience for the elderly, addressing emerging issues in the context of a rapidly aging global population. With the World Health Organization predicting a significant increase in the proportion of individuals aged 60 years and above by 2030, the imperative for digital literacy among the elderly becomes crucial. The review, drawing from 14 eligible articles sourced from Web of Science and Scopus, categorizes findings into two main themes: i) intergenerational strategies of instruction and ii) contemporary issues associated with intergenerational approaches. By exploring these dimensions, the paper provides valuable insights for researchers seeking to understand and tackle current challenges in instructing the elderly on digital applications, contributing to the ongoing discourse on improving the quality of life for the aging population through digital technology.

Blind students exclusively use braille materials for teaching math. Teaching tools that assist blind students' motor and hearing nerves are essential for learning. This study was to describe learning mathematics outcomes for blind students after using teaching material for Android devices based on Newman's theory. This research was a case study of blind students. Blind junior high school students from special schools for visual impairment-- extraordinary schools in Bandar Lampung, extraordinary schools in Cimahi, and Madrasah Tsanawiyah with special education in Yogyakarta-- contributed to the study's subjects. The study employed questionnaires and test questions as research instruments for both teachers and students. The results of this study demonstrate that learning mathematics outcame blind students' after using teaching material with Android apps based on Newman's theory, specifically: i) reading errors: students can understand the information in the questions; ii) comprehension errors: students do not write down things that are known and asked; and iii) transformation errors: students write down the mathematical model (formula) used; iv) skill errors: students can do calculations correctly; and v) coding errors: students do not write conclusions. The average score of the blind students' results using braille was higher than that of the Android application.

For students to be able to compete and overcome challenges in the future, critical thinking is essential. The study's descriptive methodology aims to describe the students' critical thinking abilities. Every high school in a South Sulawesi district made up the research population. Based on school accreditation, with the use of a proportionate stratified random sampling technique, 150 students were chosen to comprise the research sample. The test instrument used is an essay distributed online. The indicators for the description questions are interpretation, analysis, and interpretation thinking skills. According to the study's findings, students' critical thinking abilities in static fluid material have an average score in the medium category of 73.09. In terms of school accreditation, students' physics critical thinking abilities average 73.87 for schools with A accreditation, 72.43 for schools with B accreditation, and 68.47 for schools with C accreditation. The percentage of each indicator of critical thinking skills is 34.58 in inference, 33.70 in analysis, and 31.71 in interpretation. It is anticipated that this study will give a broad picture of students' critical thinking competencies for teachers to choose and implement the most suitable stimulus to aid students in developing their critical thinking abilities.

This study aims to examine the approach in teaching practice to "muallaf" (Muslim indigenous people: "orang asli") and the factors of attraction toward the acceptance of Islamic understanding among them. The study was conducted at the village of "muallaf orang asli" at Paya Sendayan, Temerloh Pahang, Malaysia. Design of this study are using the qualitative methods. Data were collected by observation and selected informant interviews based on purposive sampling methods. Data were analysed using the thematic methods. The results of the study found that the approach in teaching practice to "muallaf orang asli" is "syarah" (explanation) and discussion presented through storytelling, stimulation method and "talaqqi musyafahah" (face to face). Meanwhile, the results of the attraction factors toward the acceptance of teaching and learning among "muallaf orang asli" are aspect of reward, facilities, understanding and skills of teachers or educators for the socio-culture and role model shown by teachers or educators as well as the Muslim community nearby the living community. The findings of this study show that the teaching and learning of "muallaf orang asli" should be organized systematically in line with the factors of attraction in order to increase interest and earnestly.

The aim of this study is to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) learning at the elementary school level in Makassar. This study employed a mixed methods approach, specifically the QUANqual type of explanatory sequential design. The survey method was used to collect and analyze quantitative data, while interviews and documentation methods were used for qualitative non-numerical data. The respondents consisted of elementary school teachers in Makassar who were selected using simple random sampling. The results showed that using SWOT analysis and internal strategic factors analysis summary-external strategic factors analysis summary (IFAS-EFAS) calculations, the strengths-opportunities (SO) strategy has the highest score of 4.27. In addition, the weaknesses-opportunities (WO), strengths-threats (ST), and weaknesses-threats (WT) strategies received consecutive scores of 3.25, 2.71, and 1.69, respectively. It suggests that STEAM learning in Makassar is in a growth stage due to its strengths and opportunities that support the development of STEAM education in the city.

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia. Patients with diabetes mellitus require optimal glycemic control. Poorly controlled diabetes mellitus is at risk for complications, such as diabetic nephropathy. Diabetic nephropathy is characterized by albuminuria and can lead to decreased Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR). Objectives: To determined the relationship between albuminuria and GFR in a patient with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: This research was conducted at the Pontianak Branch of Prodia Health Clinic Laboratory in March 2021, using secondary data of laboratory examination results from DM patients in the 2020 period. This research was observational analytics with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples that comply with the research criteria was 273 people. Bivariate analysis using Spearman’s correlation test. Results: Spearman's correlation test results showed significance (p=0.001) and correlation coefficient (r=0.209). Conclusion: Albuminuria and GFR in a patient with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus are significantly and positively correlated. Deep-fake in videos is a video synthesis technique by changing the people’s face in the video with others’ face. Deep-fake technology in videos has been used to manipulate information, therefore it is necessary to detect deep-fakes in videos. This paper aimed to detect deep-fakes in videos using the ResNext Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithms. The video data was divided into 4 types, namely video with 10 frames, 20 frames, 40 frames and 60 frames. Furthermore, face detection was used to crop the image to 100 x 100 pixels and then the pictures were processed using ResNext CNN and LSTM. The confusion matrix was employed to measure the performance of the ResNext CNN-LSTM algorithm. The indicators used were accuracy, precision, and recall. The results of data classification showed that the highest accuracy value was 90% for data with 40 and 60 frames. While data with 10 frames had the lowest accuracy with 52% only. ResNext CNN-LSTM was able to detect deep-fakes in videos well even though the size of the image was small.

The presence of the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the people of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. There have been many layoffs for some communities which have resulted in a decline in their economy. Another impact was felt by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) where their sales transactions also decreased. Yobagi is proposed to overcome this problem by becoming a social entrepreneurship-based platform that becomes an intermediary medium for anyone who has the desire to share their skills, knowledge, and experiences. Yobagi is also a marketplace for MSMEs to promote their products or services. The purpose of developing Yobagi is to increase community skills and be able to innovate so that they can run new businesses to improve the economy. This study uses a prototype research method which consists of five stages, namely Communication, Quick Plan, Modeling Quick Plan, Construction of Prototype, and Deployment. The result of the research is a web-based Yobagi application that functions well, as evidenced by a functional test using the Blackbox method. Furthermore, the Responsive Web Design (RWD) feature on the Yobagi system was also tested to test the performance of features on several different types of smartphones.
