This study aims to develop and test the validity and reliability of an academic resilience instrument tailored to the context of Junior High School (SMP) students. The research was conducted using a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design, involving data collection through a 51-item questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 84 junior high school students aged 12-16 from the Yogyakarta region. Data analysis was carried out using the Rasch Model method with Winstep version 3.73. The analysis results identified 47 items that met the criteria, with a Cronbach’s alpha value of 0.93, which falls into the good category. The person reliability value of 0.92 is considered excellent, while the item reliability value of 0.96 is categorized as outstanding. The analysis results indicate that the developed academic resilience instrument possesses good psychometric characteristics, including high validity and reliability. This instrument can serve as an effective tool for educators and counselors to identify student needs, design appropriate intervention programs, and enhance the quality of guidance and counseling at the junior high school level.

The teacher's task in the activity of increasing discipline in learning is very important. Because this activity is not solely the task of the teacher in class, but all teachers. Based on the results of observations at Mts Riyadlul Ulum Bangil showed that there were students who committed violations of school rules. Guidance Counseling Teachers have a big role in tackling student disciplinary violations. The approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this study are, First, Guidance and Counseling Services at Mts Riyadlul Ulum is carried out as a form of providing guidance and counseling services to the service target, namely students. In this regard, there are a number of services in guidance and counseling in schools including orientation, information, placement and distribution services, group counseling, individual counseling, group guidance, consulting services. Second, the role of the BK teacher is that the role of the teacher is not only limited to activities in class or teaching, but is broader than that. One way is through participation in guidance and counseling programs in schools. Third, the role of the counseling teacher in increasing student discipline in Mts Riyadlul Ulum, namely by implementing school rules according to the rules that apply, so as to create order and student compliance with school rules and provide sanctions for students who violate school rules.

The purpose of this study was to measure the level of loneliness (loneliness) of students during the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic. The method used in this research is for quantitative research using surveys. The research was conducted by distributing a Likert scale google form about loneliness which then the results of the data were analyzed by percentage. This research was conducted from April to June 2022. The subjects in this study were students in various regions in Indonesia, especially DIY and Central Java. The sample in this study was 983 respondents with data collection techniques carried out by random sampling. The results of this study indicate that the lonely level of students in the Very High category is 0.00%, 15.35% in the High category, 56.75% in the medium category, 28.12% in the low category, and 1.03% in the low category. Very low. In the age group, it shows that age has differences at every age level, the percentage of loneliness in vulnerable students aged 12-17 years shows the High category with 0.20% at the age of 12 years, 3.15% at the age of 13 years, 8.34% at the age of 14 years, 2.85% at the age of 15 years and 0.41% at the age of 16 while 0.20% of the age of 17 years. From these results, serious treatment is needed, namely by optimizing BK services in schools to reduce loneliness experienced by students in the age range of 12-16 years, namely at the SMP/MTs level so that it does not have a prolonged effect.

Abstract: This study aims to develop a peace guidebook as a medium for school counselors in reducing student aggressiveness. The research employed research and development design proposed by Borg and Gall model, which includes identifying aggressive needs and problems, drafting a hypothetical product, and expert and user assessment of the product. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis to describe the level of aggressiveness. In addition, this study uses Cohens Kappa’s inter-rater reliability (IRR) coefficient to identify expert and user agreement on product feasibility. The results of the descriptive analysis show that aggressiveness needs more attention from school counselors, one of which is by implementing peace guidance. The developed guidebook received an assessment from two guidance and counseling experts who have a track record in developing guidance and counseling media. User ratings were obtained from two school counselors who already have educator certificates. Based on expert and user assessments, the peace guidance manual is categorized as suitable for use by school counselors to reduce student aggressiveness. The results of this study should be used as material and consideration for further research to empirically test the peace guidance guidebook’s effectiveness in reducing student aggressiveness. Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku panduan bimbingan kedamaian sebagai media bagi konselor sekolah dalam mereduksi agresivitas siswa. Penelitian menggunakan tahapan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan mengadaptasi model Borg dan Gall yang mencakup tiga tahap, yaitu identifikasi kebutuhan dan permasalahan agresivitas, menyusun draf hipotetik produk, dan penilaian ahli serta pengguna terhadap produk. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat agresivitas. Selain itu, penelitian ini menggunakan inter-rater reliability (IRR) koefisien Cohens’s Kappa untuk mengidentifikasi kesepakatan ahli dan pengguna terhadap kelayakan produk. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa agresivitas perlu mendapat perhatian lebih dari konselor sekolah, salah satunya dengan mengimplementasikan bimbingan kedamaian. Buku panduan yang dikembangkan mendapat penilaian dari dua ahli bimbingan dan konseling yang memiliki rekam jejak di pengembangan media bimbingan dan konseling. Penilaian dari pengguna diperoleh dari dua konselor sekolah yang telah memiliki sertifikat pendidik. Berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan pengguna, buku panduan bimbingan kedamaian dikategorikan layak digunakan oleh konselor sekolah untuk mereduksi agresivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian ini seyogianya dapat menjadi bahan dan pertimbangan bagi penelitian selanjutnya untuk melakukan uji keefektifan buku panduan bimbingan kedamaian dalam mereduksi agresivitas siswa secara empiris.

Most people will try to find alternative solutions that can be done to solve problems or events that can cause stress. When internal resources and other external resources are unable to solve the problem, the individual will be trapped in a crisis situation. This study aims to examine the cognitive, emotional and social impacts that can be experienced by individuals with experiences facing crisis situations in their lives. The research uses a qualitative approach with the type of phenomenological research. The sample in this study were students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Ahmad Dahlan University as many as 56 students taken by purposive sampling (students who had experienced crisis situations). Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed by collecting and describing all the phenomena that occurred as a result of the crisis experience experienced by the individual and grouped by type. The results of this study reaffirm that unresolved crisis conditions can have a long-term impact on cognitive, emotional and social aspects and have negative impacts. In the cognitive aspect, some of the stress reactions that arise are still often remembering events, negative self-image and difficulty concentrating. In the affective aspect, the stress reactions that arise include feelings of anxiety, fear, sadness, anger, anxiety, loss of hope and uncontrolled mood changes. On the social aspect, stress reactions that arise include withdrawing behavior from the social environment, difficulty interacting with other people and avoiding certain places or activities.

EXISTENTIAL GROUP COUNSELING TO IMPROVE SENSE OF SCHOOL BELONGING IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS IN YOGYAKARTA CITY. The aim of this study was to develop existential group conseling model to increase sense of belonging vocational school stundents in Yogyakarta. The development of group counseling models using an existential approach is one alternative that can be used to improve the sense of school belonging. The type of research used is Research and Development model that developed by Borg and Gall. The research subjects were students of State Vocational Schools in Yogyakarta who had low sense of school belonging. Data collection techniques using the sense of school belonging scale adapted from The Psychological Sense of School Membership (PSSM) Scale, developed by Carol Goodenow. Through testing the model, it is known that the average posttest score has increased from 42.75 to 52.75, meaning that the average value of students' sense of school belonging has changed by 10. As for the minimum value, the pretest scores obtained the minimum student is 34.00 in the low category, experiencing a change in grades when the post-test becomes 42.00 in the medium category, meaning that there are no students in the low category. For the maximum score, which in the pretest the maximum value of the students is 47.00 in the medium category, it changes in the score at the post test to be 65.00 in the high category.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the contribution of parent-child attachment on emotion regulation, self-esteem, conformity and student resilience of students. To achieve the goal, the study applied a causal relationship study design. 153 subjects were chosen randomly from public junior high schools in Yogyakarta. The research data were collected using Attachment Scale, Emotion Regulation Scale, Self-Esteem Scale, Conformity Scale and Resilience Scale which had been tested for their validity and reliability. To analyze the data, this study used simple linear regression analysis. The findings showed that attachment has a significant contribution to emotion regulation, self-esteem, conformity and resilience with beta coeficient of 0.691, 0.816, 0.687 and 0.232. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi parent-child attachment terhadap regulasi emosi, harga diri, konformitas dan resiliensi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan causal relationship study. Seratus lima puluh tiga sampel diperoleh secara acak dari SMP Negeri se-Kota Yogyakarta. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan Skala Attachment, Skala Regulasi Emosi, Skala Harga Diri, Skala Konformitas dan Skala Resiliensi yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Regresi sederhana kemudian digunakan untuk menganalisis data tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa attachment memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap regulasi emosi, harga diri, konformitas dan resiliensi dengan koefisien beta sebesar 0,691, 0,816, 0,687 dan 0,232.

Children are victims of parents who are undergoing drug rehabilitation programs. The factor is that parents do not accompany the education process for a specified period. Peer approaches by school counselors play a significant role in developing children's welfare in school. The goals of this study were to determine the application of peer guidelines for the development of healthy children of addicted parents. This research uses a literature study and a case study method. The data used in the study originated from the literature, as well as the primary references and interviews. Interviews conducted to parents of drug users in the large centers of drug rehabilitation. The analysis used in the descriptive study of literature method and case study method study. The findings conclude that the welfare of children from drug abuser's parents causes stress in children to influence the psychological, social, and academic dimensions. Peer guidance applications provide support for the education of children from parents who are undergoing drug rehabilitation programs and success in school. Peer skills implement openness, asking questions, and reflection, and empathy. The impact is child welfare in the psychological, social, and academic dimensions. Collaboration between addicted counselors, school counselors, parents, and guardians is needed

Abstract: Self-esteem is an important element for students to support their development optimally. However, students performed various problems related to the students’ self-esteem level. For instance, students posted their activities and problems on social media. One variable affected self-esteem was students’ emotional control. This study aimed to identify the effect of emotional control on students’ self-esteem. This study involved 612 students as sample who were randomly selected in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data analysis technique in this research was regression analysis. Results indicated that there was a significant effect of emotional control on students’ self-esteem. This study recommended a counseling service to increase students’ self-esteem by involving emotional control variable. Abstrak: Harga diri merupakan unsur penting bagi siswa agar dapat berkembang secara optimal. Akan tetapi, siswa kerap kali mengalami masalah yang berkaitan dengan rendahnya harga diri mereka, misalnya siswa menunjukkan berbagai kegiatan dan masalahnya di media sosial. Salah satu variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap harga diri adalah regulasi emosi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh regulasi emosi terhadap harga diri siswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan sampel sebanyak 612 siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA) yang dipilih secara acak di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara regulasi emosi terhadap harga diri siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan sebuah program layanan konseling untuk meningkatkan harga diri siswa dengan melibatkan variabel regulasi emosi.

Abstract: A happy individual tends to produce positive things in life in terms of social self; study; and career aspects. This research is to find out the effectiveness of adventure based counseling (ABC) program to improve happiness in students. This research was conducted using experimental design with one group pretest-posttest model. The subject of this research was eleven students in the third semester of study program of guidance and counseling, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The pretest and posttest data was collected using a scale which was developed based on Seligman theory. The data was analyzed by non-parametric data analysis of Wilcoxon test. The results show that ABC program does not significantly influence happiness in students, but it gives influence to the aspect of meaningfulness and achievement. Abstrak: Individu yang bahagia cenderung menghasilkan hal-hal yang positif dalam aspek pribadi-sosial; belajar; dan kariernya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan program ABC untuk meningkatkan kebahagiaan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan experimental design dengan model one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah sebelas mahasiswa semester tiga program studi bimbingan dan konseling UAD yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data pretest dan posttest dilakukan menggunakan skala yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori Seligman. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data non-parametrik dengan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil menunjukkan pemberian program ABC tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kebahagiaan mahasiswa, namun berpengaruh terhadap aspek kebermaknaan dan prestasi.

Abstract: The aims of this study was to understand how the relationship between self-esteem, social support, extraversion personality, agreeableness personality, conscientiousness personality, neuroticism personality, openness personality, and psychological well-being of the public junior high school students in Malang city. This study was a non-experimental study with correlational design. Results of this research showed a variable that has a relationship with the psychological well-being is self-esteem, social support, personality agreeableness, neuroticism personality and conscientiousness personality. Accumulated seventh influence of independent variables equal to 61% of the variance of psychological well-being can be explained by three independent variables, and the rest as many as 39% are caused by other factors. Key Words: self-esteem, social support, psychological well-being, junior high school students Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harga diri, dukungan sosial, kepribadian extraversion, kepribadian agreeableness, kepribadian conscientiousness, kepribadian neuroticism, kepribadian openness dan psychological well-being Siswa SMP Negeri Se-Kota Malang. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah non-experimental research dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel yang memiliki hubungan dengan psychological well-being adalah harga diri, dukungan sosial, kepribadian agreeableness, kepribadian neuroticism dan kepribadian conscientiousness. Akumulasi pengaruh ketujuh variabel independen sebesar 61% varian psychological well-being dapat dijelaskan ketiga variabel bebas, dan sisanya yaitu sebanyak 39 % disebabkan oleh faktor lain.
