This study examines the level of mathematical problem-solving abilities among students, specifically focusing on contextual problems related to plane geometry. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was employed, involving data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Problem-solving abilities were measured using a test comprising two questions. The results indicate a low level of proficiency among students of Public Junior High School 10 in Sungai Penuh City, with an average score of 22.28 and a success rate of 15.23%. These findings underscore the need for enhancing students' problem-solving skills. The critical role of teachers in the learning process and the use of effective learning media are anticipated to significantly improve students' abilities. For future research, it is recommended to conduct a deeper analysis of factors influencing these low problem-solving skills, such as curriculum, teaching methods, and the student's learning environment, and to test educational interventions that could enhance problem-solving skills.

The field of education is dedicated to exploring the principles and ideals of excellence in the pursuit of knowledge. These principles offer insights into the rules and standards guiding knowledge acquisition, ensuring that the knowledge obtained benefits individuals. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of taʻlīm mutaʻallim module in enhancing students’ self-confidence in group guidance. Sampling was conducted using both random and purposive random sampling methods. Subsequently, a quantitative method was used to perform the exploration by applying a quasi-experimental method with 27 students from Madrasah Aliyah Muallimat NW Pancor in Lombok, Indonesia. The students were categorized into two groups, and the study design incorporated the administration of pretest, the implementation of treatment, and the administration of posttest. The treatment consisted of seven meetings where participants received a module designed to internalize taʻlīm mutaʻallim values, with the aim of improving self-confidence in group guidance. Additionally, the collected data were analyzed using descriptive data analysis, paired sample t-test, and effect size analysis. The results of hypothesis testing showed that the t-value was 9.607, with a significance level of 0.001 (

This research is motivated by the many outstanding sports athletes who do not understand doping. Increasing the understanding of high-achieving sports athletes about doping can be done through online anti-doping education. The purpose of this study was to assess the need for web-based anti-doping education in high-performance athletes. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that included 40 athletes from five sport branches: powerlifting (7 athletes), weightlifting (8 athletes), athletics (4 athletes), soccer (12 athletes), and sepak takraw (9 athletes). Purposive sampling was used as a sampling technique. The instruments used in this study included a doping knowledge test and a web-based educational accessibility questionnaire for athletes. The data were analyzed using a descriptive quantitative method in the form of percentages. There were 40 people who participated in this study, with 26 male and 14 female respondents. Based on the research result, of the 40 participating athletes, one person (3%) had high doping knowledge, eight people (20%) had sufficient doping knowledge, and thirty-one people (78%) had less doping knowledge. Meanwhile, the achievement rate for web-based education accessibility questionnaires for achievement sports athletes was 89.75%. As a result, it can be concluded that web-based anti-doping education is needed and can be carried out on achievement-sport athletes. For this reason, related parties can conduct anti-doping education for every athlete in sports so that athletes can understand doping and prevent the use of doping by athletes.

Psychological symptoms, including loneliness, and tiredness of being unable to see friends, relatives, as well as co-workers, indefinitely, are one problem faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study, therefore, aims to evaluate the extent of loneliness felt during this period, particularly by students, using a descriptive quantitative method, based on the AF loneliness Scale (AFLS). The cross-sectional study was conducted between June 11 and July 29, 2020, through an online survey on Survey Monkey platform. A total of 504 Indonesians aged 12 to 27 years, from several provinces and regions in Indonesia, participated in this study. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using JASP (Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program). According to the results, there was a tendency for 49.40% and 33.47% of students to experience symptoms of loneliness in the medium and high categories, respectively. However, there are differences in the symptoms experienced by male and female students. Racial Batak students also experienced more loneliness, compared to other ethnic groups, for instance, Minang, Malay, and Chinese. In addition, students aged between 20 and 23 are more likely to feel loneliness. These findings are useful inputs for certain parties, including school counselors, to discover alternative solutions to help students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic overcome this feeling

The implementation of the recent geography curriculum in the classroom requires further review. This study aims to identify Indonesian geography teachers' understanding of the written geography curriculum at the senior high school, which comprises cognitive activities terms, the meaning of activities demanded in the curriculum and the organization of topics. The content analysis method is applied to interpret teachers' understanding by measuring data against a standard or criteria. In addition to explaining the influencing factors, document analysis is carried out to identify the presence of a conceptual framework and the problems of the meaning of concepts in written curriculum. The findings of this study are: (a) teachers' understanding of terms engaging students in cognitive activities is limited to lower-order thinking, (b) the majority of teachers do not really understand that the purpose of the use of active learning methods is to foster thinking, and (c) most teachers perceive the topics merely as a collection of fragmented or unconnected concepts and skills. To sum up, geography teaching and learning do not move considerably from traditional inventory and fact-based approaches that focus on "what" and "where." Furthermore, this study found that problems in the written curriculum contribute to the teachers' difficulties in understanding topics and learning activities. It is concluded that gaps exist between the written curriculum and the taught curriculum of what teachers actually deliver in the classroom and between the written curriculum and the recommended curriculum. This study suggests aligning these geography curricula.

Qualified teachers must be professional, have new strength and responsibility to plan for future education, and have skills and meet the professional competence of teachers. Competence is a set of knowledge, skills, and behaviors that the teacher must have, live, and master. Personality competence is one of the four professional competencies that a teacher must possess. Teachers are not only required to explain learning material to students, but teachers also have the responsibility to increase the potential and also the quality of students’ personalities, so that in order to do this, of course, the teacher must also have good personality competencies.

The presence of smartphones has caused major changes in human life, including among students. This causes the problem of smartphone addiction in students which causes their daily life to be disrupted. This study aims to reveal the contribution of self-control towards student smartphone addiction. This study was descriptive quantitative, and the data were analyzed by using a simple linear regression. The population in this study was 33480 students of undergraduate program at Universitas Negeri Padang in 2015-2019 academic year. The sample of this study was 400 students taken by using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used was the self-control and smartphone addiction scale with a Likert scale model. The research findings revealed that self-control gives an effective contribution towards the student smartphone addiction at Univeristas Negeri Padang as many as 30.1%.

Tingginya angka kemiskinan akan memberikan dampak kepada kesejahteraan psikologis masyarakat terutama keluarga. Hal ini yang menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Adapun populasi penelitian ini keluarga miskin yang tinggal di Kecamatan Nanggalo, Kota Padang, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket psychological well-being dan skala model Likert dengan tiga alternatif yaitu tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa psychological well-being keluarga miskin Kota Padang 58,3% berada pada kategori sedang, 35% berada pada kategori rendah dan 6,7% berada pada kategori tinggi.

The purpose of this study was to reveal whether the guidance and counseling module for the management of academic stress of students eligible materially and appearance, and to describe the usefulness level guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress by counselor. The method used in this research is model ADDIE. Research carried out by testing product research and FGD. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress can be used as a media in the service guidance and counseling in school. Thus, prototype of guidance and counseling module for the management of a student's academic stress can be used by the counselor to help a student in academic stress anticipate in the learning process.

Interest in learning can help students in learning activities and get satisfying results. The phenomenon that occurs is the low student learning outcomes because of a lack of interest in learning possessed by students. This study measures student interest in the vocational high school (SMK) learning. This study involved 154 students. The instrument in the study was in the form of a learning interest questionnaire with a Likert model scale. Data were analyzed using the Rasch Model approach. The results showed that the learning interest of some students was in the medium category. In addition, there were 30 students who provided answers or showed outliers. As for the quality of the learning interest instrument used, it is good to be used to identify student interest in learning, we can see this from the reliability value of 0.97. The findings show that overall student interest in learning is in the medium category.

The 4.0 industrial revolution brought various changes in various fields of life especially related to the development of individual careers. This development has positive and negative impacts that create opportunities and challenges. This has become material for BK / Counselor teachers, especially in the implementation of career guidance in schools. The following will be explained related to the opportunities and challenges of career guidance in vocational high schools in the industrial revolution era 4.0. This paper was written using a literature study of various references related to the topics discussed. Reference literature in this manuscript is from textbooks, scientific journals of research results, online proceedings, and other supporting literature.

This study aims to develop learning to read understanding based on CIRC strategies as an effort to instill character education in grade VI elementary schools that is valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is research and development. The development model used is a 4-D model consisting of the stages of defining, designing, developing and disseminating. This research data from the validity test was obtained through the validation sheet of teaching materials. Practicality data was collected through observation sheets of the implementation of the lesson plans, teacher and student response questionnaires, and interviews with teachers. Based on the validity test obtained the percentage of RPP 91.3% with a very valid category. This means that the RPP component is in accordance with the Ministry of Education Regulation No. 41 of 2007. The results of the validity of teaching materials with a percentage of 90% with a very valid category, this means that teaching materials that have been developed are in accordance with curriculum demands. The practicality test results of the implementation of lesson plans with a percentage of 95.3% with the category of very practical, during the trial teacher has no difficulty in implementing learning. The percentage of teacher responses to the questionnaire was 92.5% with a very practical category, the teacher stated the teaching material developed was different from the previous teaching material, easy to use in learning. The percentage of questionnaire responses of students was 90.2% with a very practical category, teaching materials were also interesting for students because they were designed with more interesting colors and drawings. Judging from the effectiveness test, the character values in the trials averaged 82.8%, while in the distribution of the students' character values 81%. In reading skills, the percentage while testing is 85%, while in the spread is 89%. Based on the above description, it can be concluded that the reading materials for understanding CIRC-based strategies developed can be declared valid, practical and effective

Nowadays the role of married women not only do household chores like cooking, parenting, serving her husband, but had a double role, even many who call as a triple role, namely the woman as wife and mother, as a family, and as a responsible breadwinner. This article seeks to explain about the problem of shifting the role of married women and the implications for guidance and counselling services. The shift of the role of women is affected by various factors, namely; perceptions, shifts in social, economic and cultural beliefs. These factors give rise to a varied impact, namely; pressure as a parent, marital pressures, lack of involvement as a wife, a lack of involvement as parents, and the question of the work which interfere with. The impact experienced by married woman implicates with guidance and counselling services so that counselors have the basic skills of empathy and appreciation for a productive professional relationship building on the client woman.

The future achievement of adolescent in correctional institutions is also required to assume education or learning. The government has need to provide coaching for young prisoners in education at correctional institution so they are ready to enter new life after free. But the coaching that has not been able to optimally implementation. One of the problems that young prisoners is low learning skills. The purpose of this study was to describe learning skills of the young prisoners in correctional institution adolescent Tanjung Pati Lima Puluh Koto. This research used quantitative approaches with descriptive-quantitative method. The sample in this research consisted of 32 young prisoner. An analyze of the data used instruments learning skills of the young prisoners and analysis used is presentation. The research finding showed that learning skills of young prisoners at a medium level as many as 17 people with 73,91%, the very high level as many as 5 people with 21,74%, the low level as many as 1 people with 4,35%. The implication of this research is to describe learning skills young prisoners. In order, the results of this study could be data to assist the prisoners and coaching for solving their problems in learning

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Approach is one of the ways to change irrational thinking about academic stress and group guidance is an effective service and tools to support the implementation of the REBT approach in order to overcome the students’ academic stress in SMA Negeri 3 Padang. This research was used The Non Equivalent Control Group which was classified in the Quasi Experimental The Subject of this research was 10 students of the experimental group which identified as having very high, high, medium, low and very low academic stress. Instrument of this research was used academic stress scale that has qualified the instrument research, and then analyzed by used Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test and Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Samples. The findings of this study show in general that REBT Approach through group guidance was Effective to overcome the students academic stress. In Specific (1) there was a significant difference in scored on the student's academic stress of the experimental group(2) there was significant difference in scored on students’ academic stress in the control group (3) There were significant differences in scored on students’ academic stress in the experimental group which following the REBT approach through group guidance with Control group, which following the REBT Approach without REBT Appoach.

Self control is very important in daily life because self control was not developed well yet that can make individual has potential to make negative thing so individual must be developed their self control in smartphone usage. The purposes in this research are 1) To produce information service module to developed self control in smartphone usage that is materially and appearance. 2) To describe the module level of exposure by the BK teacher/counselor. This research used development research by following ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) as method of this research. Subject of trial in this research consist of 3 experts to test the feasibility and 5 BK teacher/ counselor to test the module usage. The research was conducted by testing a product of research and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The result of this research showing that 1) Information module service to developed self-control in smartphone usage valued worthy in terms of material and appearance. 2) Module usage is in the highest level. So the prototype of an information service to developed self control in smartphone usage module can be utilized by BK teacher/counselor to help the students in developing self-control in smartphone usage.

Achievement motivation can encourage students to learn. In achieving success requires the support of parents. Poverty makes some parents from poor families have little time to guide the children. Consequently, parenting is not going well. This research aims to describe the relationship of parenting and achievement motivation of students who come from poor families. This research is quantitative descriptive with correlation metod. The population in this study are all students of SMP Negeri which in category BSM receiver in Padang. Total sample of 170 students, selected by cluster random sampling technique. Data was collected using Likert scale model measurements. Analysis of data using statistical techniques of correlation with the data collected in interval form Then analyzed using percentages. Testing the hypothesis by using the Pearson product moment correlation. The findings of this study are: (1) parenting students who come from poor families in Padang are in good enough category. (2) achievement motivation of students who come from poor families in Padang in low category. (3) There are significant positive relationship between parenting and achievement motivation of students who come from poor families. This result meant that better the care of the parents, the higher achievement motivation of student. Counselor in cooperation with school personnel and parents to encourage students increase achievement motivation.

Based on thes results, in general, it was conclueded that the guidance and counseling learning tool's developed was appropriate and could be used to help the teacher or counselor to optimizing social development student.

This research aim’s to look at the description of the problems that face by student who wellborn in broken home’s family in SMA N 1 Banuhampu. This research is descriptive research, that see problems which are faced by student who wellborn in broken home’s family. The subject of this research is 39 students. Research instrument is questionnaire. The results of this research is the student have a problems in academic, themselves, family lives and peer relations. In this situation guidance and counseling teacher could arrange guidance and counseling service program that match with problems of students who from broken home’s family.

The background of this research wasthe variation ofstudents’ achievement in learningEnglishatschool. Academic self-concept and motivation were assumed to have the most dominant effect on students’ achievement in school. The purposes of this study were: (1) to describe the academic self-concept, (2) motivation, (3) the achievement of English learning, (4) to test the contribution of academic self-concept to English learning achievement, (5) to test contribution of motivation to English learning achievement, (6) to test the contribution of academic self-concept and motivation to English learning achievement, and (7) to describe the preparation of Guidance and Counseling program to improve academic self-concept, motivation, and students’ achievement in the school. This research was done through quantitative approach with descriptive correlational method and qualitative approach. The population in this study was the students of XII IPA 1 to 4 of SMA 8 Padang. The sample was chosen by using simple random sampling. Meanwhile, informants in qualitative approach were the teachers of Guidance and Counseling. The Instrument used in the quantitative approach was questionnaire. On the other hand, the key instrument in the qualitative approach was the researcher. Quantitative data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression and multiple regression. While, qualitative data were analyzed by using Miles and Huberman’s model. The findings of this research showed that: (1) the average description of the academic self-concept of students was in medium category, (2) students' motivation to learn was at high category, (3) the students’ English learning achievement was at goodcategory, (4) there is a contribution of academic self-concept to the students’ English learning achievement amounted to 20.3% (R = 0.451, sig. 0.000), (5) there is a contribution of motivation to English learning achievement of students amounted to 32.9% (R = 0.573, sig. 0.000), (6) there are contributions of both academic self-concept and motivation to the students’ English learning achievement amounted to 60.1% (R = 0.775, sig. 0.000), and (7) most of the Guidance and Counseling program for XII class of SMAN 8 Padang A.Y. 2015/2016 have been arranged well and the materials related to the improvement of academic self-concept, motivation, and students’ achievement have been contained and written in the Guidance and Counseling program that has been arranged.

The aims of the research were: (1) producing prevention module of premarital sexual behavior on Senior High School students who were proper according to the experts in order to be used by guidance and counseling teachers/counselors, (2) describing the function of the module to prevent the students from premarital sexual behavior. This research was a development research which was conducted by using ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Research subjects consisted of three experts and twenty three guidance and counseling teachers/counselors. The result of the research shown that the module, the research product, is appropriate to be used to prevent the students from premarital sexual behavior and can be used by the students as well as the guidance and counseling teachers/counselors in preventing the students from premarital sexual behavior.

This research was conducted based on the importance of students’ social interaction. This research used a quantitative method of descriptive correlational type. The population of the research was the students of SMP Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong selected by the Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. The findings of the research indicated that: (1) the self-concept of students was at a good enough category, (2) the need for affiliation was at a high category, (3) social interaction was at a high category, (4) there was a positive contribution and significant correlation between self-concept toward students’ social interaction, (5) there was a positive contribution and significant correlation between the needs of affiliation toward students’ social interaction, and (4) there was a positive contribution and significant correlation between self-concept and need for affiliation concurrently toward students’ social interaction of SMP Negeri 2 Rejang Lebong.

The research was backgrounded by still low level of the learning motivation of students. The self-concept and parental support suspectted to affect the learning motivation of students. This research aims to describe : (1) the self-concepts, (2) parental support, (3) learning motivation of students, (4) the contribution of the self-concept toward the learning motivation of students, (5) the parental support contributions toward the learning motivation of students, and (6) the contribution of self-concept and parental support together against to the learning motivation of students. This study used a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The population of this research was students of SMA Negeri 8 Padang in class XI and XII which totaled 464 people. The number of samples are 215 people, selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used is the scale. Results validity and reliability of the instrument self-concept, parental support, and learning motivation of student stated that valid and reliable research instruments. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, simple regression, and multiple regression. The findings showed that: (1) the average description of self-concepts are in positive category, (2) an average description of parental support are in high category, (3) description of the learning motivation of students are in high category, (4) there is contribution of self-concept toward the learning motivation of students by 24.2%, (5) there is contribution of parental support toward the learning motivation of students by 18.8%, and (6) there are contributions of self-concept and parental support together toward the learning motivation of students amounted to 30.7%. Implications of the research results can be used as input to create a program of guidance and counseling services.

Anxiety is unplesant feelings or tension against something that has not yet happened, and it could raise a fear of the impact that might grow. REBT regards an anxiety as an irrational thought that lead an individual to behave ineffectively, such as avoiding particular situation. Public speaking anxiety is a fear that is felt when speaking in front of many people. This fear could generate a variety of symptoms, such as sweating and even forget the words to be delivered. To avoid this condition, the individual choose to remain silent. Group guidance service is one of guidance an counseling serviced aimed at training members of the group to speak in front of public and be able to share ideas with others. The research was designed for revealing: the average score of the students’ anxiety before and after group guidance service assisted with REBT approach was applied by using ABCDE model and homework assigment technique, and the effectiveness of group guidance service assisted with REBT approach to reduce the student’ anxiety. This research applied quantitative method. This was a pre-experimental research which used the one group pretest and posttest design. The subject was chosen by using purposive sampling method. The subject of the research was seven students having high anxiety, medium anxiety and low anxiety. This research was conducted at IAIN Imam Bonjol Padang. The data gathered were analyzed by using statistic non-parametrik technique assisted with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and SPSS version 20.00. The result of the research showed that there was a difference between the average score of the students’ anxiety before and after the treatment given in which their pretest score was 136,1 and their posttest score was 111,5. Futhermore, the result of hypothesis test indicated that the score of Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) was 0,005 which was below alpha 0,05 (0,005

The research purpose to: (1) describe the game addiction on the student, (2) describe the student motivation, (3) find out the correlation between game addiction with student motivation. The research methodology was quantitative approach to the type of descriptive correlational. The research population was 739 students of SMP N 25 Padang academic year 2013/2014. The research sample was 266 students selected by stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.870 (game addiction) and 0.861 (learn motivation). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and Product Moment Correlation. The research results showed that: (1) game addiction students in general are at the high category, (2) learn motivation students in general are at a high enough category, (3) there is a significant negative correlation between game addiction with students motivation, with a correlation coefficient of -0.301. Implications in guidance and counseling will discussed.

Satuan pendidikan SMP memiliki peran penting dalam membantu kesuksesan peserta didik dalam memilih sekolah lanjutan. Untuk itu proses pelaksanaan pelayanan difokuskan pada bidang pengembangan pribadi dan belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap, mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis upaya guru BK mempersiapkan peserta didik dalam memilih sekolah lanjutan. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel 30 guru BK dari 8 sekolah SMPN Kota Padang yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yakni dengan model skala Likert. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik sederhana (teknik persentase). Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan upaya guru BK mempersiapkan peserta didik dalam memilih sekolah lanjutan berada pada kategori cukup. Dengan demikian upaya guru BK perlu ditingkatkan dari program pelayanan BK dan pelaksanaan pelayanan BK.

This research was done because of phenomenon of the students’ low motivation to get the achievement at school. Self concept and social support from the teacher have a correlation for creating the students’ potential giftedness to get an achievement in learning. The role of the teachers, especially the teachers of guidance and counseling are needed in improving the students’ achievement at school in order to improve their learning achievement. This research has purpose to find the social support, self concept, and achievement motivation of SMPN Kecamatan Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan. This research is also done for knowing the contribution of social support and self concept through achievement motivation of SMPN Kecamatan Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan. This research used correlational approach which has purpose to know how is the contribution among the research variables. The population of the research is the students of SMPN Kecamatan Batang Kapas Pesisir Selatan. The amount of the population was 601 students. The sample of this research was 240 students. It had been taken by using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data was analyzed by using descriptive technique and the hypothesis testing was done by using path analysis. The result shows that: (1) social support is in the enough category with average score is 115.9 or 77.29 of the ideal score, (2) the self concept is in the enough category with average score is 93.53 or 74.82% of the ideal score, (3) students’ achievement motivation is in the enough category with average score 114.4 or 76.27 of the ideal score, (4) the contribution of social support through the students’ achievement motivation is about 20.2%, (5) the contribution of self concept through the students’ achievement motivation is about 14.4%, and (6) the contribution of social support and self concept through students achievement motivation is about 25.7%

The students misperception about learning discipline had triggered the students to break the rules applied at school. They seemed to be unaware of the nature of learning discipline so that an affort to change their perception was needed. One of the efforts done to change the students perception was by applying information service. This research was intended to see the affectiveness of information service combined with lecturing method, socio-drama and discussion to change the students perception about learning discipline. Based on the research findings, it was concluded that the use of information service combined with lecturing method, socio-drama, and discussion was affective to change the students perception about learning discipline. The research applied quantitative method. This was a Quasi Experimental research which applied The Non Equivalent Control Group. The population of this research was the students at SMAN 8 Padang. The sample was chosen by using Purposive Sampling Technique. The instrument of the reseach Likert scale model. The data gathered were analyzed by using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Two Independent Sample assisted with SPSS version 17. The results showed that information service combined with lecturing method, socio-drama, and discussion was affective to change the students perception about learning discipline.

Motivation and learning skill are essential and mustbe owned by students to be successful in learning. But, the fact that are students with lack of learning motivation and learning skill. The aims from this research are: (1) to describing student’s learning motivation and learning skill which high achieving and underachieving, (2) to analyze student’s learning motivation and learning skill differences who high achieving and underachieving. This research using quantitative approach with comparative description type. This research conducted on students in VII and VIII grades at MTsN Salido Pesisir Selatan regency in 2013-2014 school year, with 258 students population, and 158 students as research sample using propotional random sampling techniques. Instrument for this research is questionnaire. Data analyzing for this research using descriptive statistic techniques and t-test using SPSS 16.00. Data analyzing revealed that (1) learning motivation students who is high achieving stand at high category, (2) learning motivation students who is underachieving stand at average category, (3) learning skill students who is high achieving stand at good category, (4) learning skill students who is underachieving stand at enough category, (5) there is a difference of learning motivation between students with high achieving and underachieving, (6) there is a difference of learning skill between students with high achieving and underachieving. The implication from this research to guidance and counseling is forming guidance counseling treatment programme that concern to students with underachieving in order to reach good learning result..

Ideally, orphans that live in orphanage don’t have any trouble with the environment. In fact, orphans frequently coped with troubles in orphanage environment. This research is purposed to find out troubles that related to social live, learning activity, and daily needs in orphanage environment. This research is descriptive research. Sample of this research is 40 orphans whose enter junior and senior high school. Instrument in this research is questionnaire. Results of this research reveal that orphans frequently faced unbalanced communication in orphanage environment, and also they get trouble with learning activity which is studying previous lesson. Orphans also have a trouble to fulfill their daily needs in orphanage environment.

Performance is the work result of the employees to achieve of some company goals. The purpose of this researches is to determine the effect of leadership and work motivation to the employee performance as partial and simultaneous at the UPT Pasar I Kabupaten Sleman. Research using multiple regression analysis. The result showed leadership and work motivation a significant positive effect on employee performance. It was also concluded thatleadership variable dominanly influenced on employee performance compared to work motivation.

The influence of length and condition of Biomass Storage on the biosorption of lead and zinc that present together in a solution by Saccharomyces cerevisiae biomass were studied. In this experiment, variables of length and condition of biomass storage were examined. Concentration of lead and zinc were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometric (AAS) using air-acetilene as atomizing flame. Loading of lead and zinc on the biomass were determined as the difference between the initial and the final concentration of lead and zinc in the solution. Biosorption of lead and zinc were influenced by condition and storage of the biomass. Storage of biomass in the room temperature for one week cause an increasing uptake. Storage for longer period result in decrease of lead and zinc uptake. Storage of biomass in a freezer up to 2 weeks increased the uptake of lead, but did not influence the uptake of zinc. Storage for longer period decreased the uptake of both of lead and zinc. For all condition the uptake of lead higher than the uptake of zinc by Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

The effects of salinity on the release of copper (Cu), lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) in tailing sediment have been studied by stripping voltammetry. The purpose of the research is to know the effect of salinity on the release of metals with certain pH, conductivity and variety of metals. Simultaneous determination of copper, lead and zinc in tailing was done by Differential Pulse Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (DPASV) onto hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) and nitric acid 65% as support electrolyte. The limit of detection for this method 0.60 µg/L, 0.150 µg/L and 0.238 µg/L for copper, lead and iMc respectively. The stripping solution of 300/00 salinity with pH= 7.85, conductivity= 46.62 mS/cm gives the amounts of released metals as follows :14.867 µg/L Cu, 0.976 µg/L Pb and 6.224 µg/L Zn. These results are higher as compared with the results from 15 0/00 salinity with pH= 7.66, conductivity= 23.22 mS/cm that give released metals of Cu= 7.988 µg/L, Pb= 0.311 µg/L and Zn= 4.699 µg/L. the results from ANOVA suggest that this is due to different in salinity of the solution. It also found that the conductivity does not give any effect. It can be concluded that the higher salinity will that give higher concentration or released metals.

Siswa SMA yang sedang menjalani masa remaja dituntut untuk menjalani tugas-tugas perkembangan. Salah satu tugas perkembangan yaitu mencapai kematangan dalam pilihan karir di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan usaha siswa dalam menentukan arah pilihan karir dan hambatan yang mereka temui. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif dengan populasi siswa SMA N 3 Payakumbuh. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling dan diperoleh 77 orang. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket. Temuan Penelitian ini menunjukkan 1)Usaha yang dominan dilakukan siswa dalam menentukan pilihan karirnya adalah berusaha mengetahui prospek masa depan pekerjaan yang akan dipilih melalui media internet, 2) faktor yang dominan dipertimbangkan siswa dalam menentukan pilihan karir adanya kebebasan untuk memilih pendidikan yang diinginkan setelah tamat nanti, 3) hambatan yang dominan ditemui siswa dalam menentukan pilihan karir adalah teman-teman memberikan masukan yang berbeda tentang pilihan karir.

The purpose of Teen Consultation Center (TSC) extracurricular is to develop students’ ability become youth counselor. The purpose of this research is to describe TSC extracurricular activity at SMA N 7 Padang based on the students’ opinion about the development TSC by counseling teacher and TSC implementation by youth counselor. This research can be categorized quantitative approach, descriptive research. Research finding explains students’ opinion about TSC development by counseling teacher is good and TCR implementation has been done.

Abstract Easily access movies / videos porno allows teens / students freely watch, causing a tendency for teens / students to watch porn movies over and over - again. This leads to difficulty concentrating in learning, resulting in lower student learning outcomes. This study aims to reveal how the effects of pornography on adolescent sexual behavior / student. This study used a descriptive approach. The results showed that the impact of pornography on sexual behavior so students, in this case the tutor is not optimal (low) in the prevention efforts so that students are not accessing pornography

A discrepancy between individual values and social support received influences a low degree of career adaptability. This research 122 post-internship students enrolled at the State Islamic Religious College in Sumatra, Indonesia. Work Values Inventory, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, and Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) were employed as the research instruments using a quantitative design, and multiple regression analysis was adopted to analyse the data. The results showed a significant positive relationship between work values, social support, and career adaptability. Furthermore, the regression model predicted 64.1% of career adaptability, highlighting the synergistic effect of the variables. The results underscored the potential of career counselling interventions in empowering post-internship students by providing essential skills and knowledge for successful career navigation. Implications for career counselling were also discussed, and future analysis was suggested. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
