AIM: To investigate the correlation between the ocular demodex infection and the composition of meibum lipid flora.METHODS: A non-interventional and observational study was performed on recruited 39 patients in our hospital between July 2020 and February 2021. They were divided into control group(n=14), meibomian gland dysfunction(MGD)group(n=14), and demodex group(FM, n=11)according to the presence or absence of demodex infection or MGD. Abstract Background Previous studies show that both the categorical and dimensional descriptors of personality disorders are correlated with normal personality traits. Recently, a 92-item inventory, the Parker Personality Measure (PERM) was designed as a more efficient and precise first-level assessment of personality disorders. Whether the PERM constructs are correlated with those of the five-factor models of personality needs to be clarified. Methods We therefore invited 913 students from poly-technical schools and colleges in China to answer the PERM, the Five-Factor Nonverbal Personality Questionnaire (FFNPQ), and the Zuckerman-Kuhlman Personality Questionnaire (ZKPQ). Results Most personality constructs had satisfactory internal alphas. PERM constructs were loaded with FFNPQ and ZKPQ traits clearly on four factors, which can be labelled as Dissocial, Emotional Dysregulation, Inhibition and Compulsivity, as reported previously. FFNPQ Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness and Extraversion formed another Factor, named Experience Hunting, which was not clearly covered by PERM or ZKPQ. Conclusion The PERM constructs were loaded in a predictable way on the disordered super-traits, suggesting the PERM might offer assistance measuring personality function in clinical practice.

Blaps rynchopetera Fairmaire has a long history of use as a folk medicine in China for treating fever, cough, gastritis, boils, and tumors. In the present study, the content analyses, monosaccharide composition analyses, and the macrophage phagocytic activity of rynchopetera polysaccharides (RPS) were reported. B. rhynchoptera is rich in polysaccharides (content value 3.97%). Through PMP (1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone) pre-column derivatization and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) testing, the results showed that RPS consist of 8 known monosaccharides, including D-mannose (Man), Rhamnose (Rha), D-glucuronic acid (GlcUA), D-galacturonic acid (GalUA), D-glucose (Glc), D-galactose (Gal), Arabinose (Ara), and Fucose (Fuc), with the total content of 171.70 mg g−1 and Glc has the highest content of 45.40 mg g−1. The phagocytic ability of mouse peritoneal macrophages was investigated after RPS stimulating alone and combined with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). RPS played an important role in the engulfment of mouse peritoneal macrophages and can significantly enhance the phagocytic ability of macrophages. However, no synergistic effects were observed when RPS combined with LPS.

In this study, pharmaceutically relevant quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-diones were synthesized eco-efficiently by cycloaddition of C[O.sub.2] and 2-aminobenzonitrile in water, catalyzed by melamine as a thermoregulated catalyst. Quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-dione was produced selectively with 92% yield at 120 [degrees]C, 4.2 MPa, and automatically separated from the hot catalytic aqueous solution, which was reused directly for several runs until its activity decreased in an obvious manner. Then, the catalyst melamine was recrystallized from the spent aqueous solution via simple cooling and reused for another several catalytic runs. The efficient valorization of C[O.sub.2] and the straightforward stepwise recovery of the products and catalyst were important to save energy and minimize process waste for the practical industrial production. La quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-dione a ete produite selectivement dans un rendement de 92 % a 120 [degré]C et a 4,2 MPa, puis separee automatiquement de la solution aqueuse catalytique chaude, laquelle a ete reutilisee directement, et ce, plusieurs fois avant que son activite ne diminue de maniere notable. Par la suite, la melamine a ete recristallisee de la solution aqueuse epuisee par simple refroidissement et reutilisee encore plusieurs fois comme catalyseur. La valorisation efficace du C[O.sub.2] ainsi que la recuperation sequentielle simple des produits et du catalyseur sont des facteurs importants pour la mise en application dans la production industrielle, car ils permettent d'economiser de l'energie et de reduire les dechets de procede.
